Came to Portugal for this course and left sadly disappointed. Whilst the course offer some challenging and fun golf, a handful greens had been destroyed by overuse of sand. Felt like putting from a bunker. Unprofessional staff did not respond well to feedback.

Not worth it. Terrible service. 3 of 18 greens were unplayable, in May.. but no reduced greenfee even though we discussed it friendly afterwards.

Overpriced. Rented a set of clubs from the course that were 10+ years old. Greens were being punched and sanded starting at hole 8 - with no warning when I booked or checked in. Greens were slow with patchy areas.

Diferente, para el tipo de Campo que es..Precio excesivo. La casa club no invita a tomar nada.. como casa club son baños y un bar. Para el precio excesivo la Casa club tendría que ser espectacular .

Excellent "linksy" style golf course that stretches almost to the sea in the beautiful town of Caiscais. It's a tough test, with some fantastic golf holes, with plenty of very pretty par 3's too. Worth the trip for something different. Highly recommended...

Um local com imenso charme. Pode-se estar tranquilamente a usufruir de uma paisagem de perder o fôlego. Só não leva cinco estrelas porque fecha cedo e porque os empregados são um pouco desligados. Um bocadinho mais de formação seria ótimo.

Siamo stati oggi con la mia signora sul campo da golf per passare un bel pomeriggio tranquillo. Il campo è molto bello e le condizioni in cui è tenuto sono discrete, ma i Green di tutte le 18 buche erano in pessime condizioni. Il campo era libero ma nel bel mezzo del campo era presente una villa che era stata affittata per una festa privata che per tutto il pomeriggio (per ben 5 ore) aveva una musica assordante che si sentiva da tutte le buche e che ha rovinato tutta l'atmosfera che è indispensabile per giocare bene a golf e che ricercano i giocatori di golf. Cercavamo qualcosa per rifocillarci lungo il campo da golf ma non era presente ne una buvette ne era presente una Golf car del golf con alcune bibite e cibo, come ci avevano promesso. Insomma una vera delusione considerando anche che il Green fee è di €90 a persona nonostante che fosse non il weekend, che la Golf car costa €58, noleggiare l'attrezzatura da golf costa €40 a persona e alla fine di tutto questo ti fanno pagare anche 2 euro per una bottiglietta d'acqua da 50 cc. Considerando la qualità dei campi portoghesi ed il buon prezzo che in genere si trova in questo bellissimo paese assolutamente sconsiglio di frequentare questo campo da golf.

Mooi rustig modern hotel, zeer geschikt als je van golf houdt. De golfbaan ligt er direct naast. Buggy aan te raden bij 18 holes :)

Muito bom! Os quartos sao confortaveis, com um estilo clean e minimalista, a banheira perto da janela com vista para o mar é algo fabuloso.
O pequeno almoço foi dos melhores que ja comi num hotel.
O unico senao foi que pedimos cama de grades para o meu bebe e quando chegamos ao quarto nao estava la. Rapidamente solucionado.
Tenciono voltar varias vezes :)

Pure comedy value that this is rated 4th best in Portugal. There are 6 holes that are basically a field. You can't be serious! 6 excellent holes but rated that highly, you must be joking.

Campo de golf es precioso por las vistas que tiene es espectacular ya que tienen más de fondo y está muy bien ya que tiene un césped muy bueno muy bien cortado está bastante bien y sobre todo lo que te digo por las vistas las vistas son espectaculares ya que tiene el mar y barcos pues date una vuelta en lancha luego vuelves a jugar al golf y así.

Un véritable Havre de paix, luxueux face à la mer. Chambre immense avec vue panoramique apaisante. Gigantesque hall d'accueil, restaurant et couloirs en tous genres. Calme assuré. Bonne insonorisation, super literie. Rideaux occultants suffisants... Mais l'accès au Spa en supplément de 25 e par jour pour les résidents, c'est abusé à ce niveau.

Genuinely excellent hotel. From check in to check out this is a very good hotel. My room was huge and beautiful with a view of the dunes and sea. The pool was heated and very nicely placed for a view. Service was excellent. If it was possible I'd give over 5*. 10 minute drive to central cascais , not your traditional 5* hotel but an excellent addition to the area.

Bom campo, apesar de ser um pouco caro. A zona onde se insere é elitista, no entanto o vento acaba por ser um desafio e um bom treino para o golf.

Golf course is good but €130 worth? Never. many better more friendly places around. Office staff ignorant and totally unprofessional, “we’re here to sell green fees only” nowhere to get a coffee or beer after golf on a Monday.

This could be a decent course. An OK (but far from amazing) layout but it's in poor condition: inconsistent green speeds, bunkers very poor with exposed earth in many and the club deludes itself by claiming it's links golf (as far from a genuine links as I could imagine). I can't believe such a new course can be living on past glories, you'll be disappointed if you allow yourself to be convinced by the historic #55 rating, claims that 18th brings best golfers in world to their knees (they'd hit 4 iron, 8 iron) and laughable claim that 14th is one of the best par 3s in the world. Very expensive green fees and the bar prices are a farce (7EUR for a beer!)

Beautiful course but we went on a windy day with 40KM/H wind. It was really hard to play. There is no where to refill water bottles.

Fun track. Interesting and reminds me a lot of Pacific Dunes in Oregon. Greens were a little slow and inconsistent but otherwise in great shape.

Very unwelcoming staff and very expensive. 58 euros for a buggy with no sat nav, tees or even a bottle of water! Course was ok but not all it's hyped up to be, we played here after Praia Del Rei and West Cliffs sligjtly furtjer North and it isn't in the same league!

Very average golf course no way 3rd best in Portugal. Greens slowest of the 5 courses we played. Pena Longa, Óbidos, Praia de rei and the best West Cliffs all much better, prettier better greens and fairways also cheaper. No desire to return. So many better courses in Portugal. Save your money. The others are a much better test

Golf Anteil ist sehr gut. Hotel Anteil ist knapp ok, Zimmer sind unnötig groß, Styl sehr steril. Frühstück Buffet ist ok, Restaurant am Abend ist zu vermeiden, viel zu teuer, Service zu wenig professional für diese Preisen.

Excellent golf course in very good condition. However after playing 9 course on a golf holiday this experience was a bit of a let down. Green fees were reasonable but everything else was seriously overpriced. For one buggy, two pull trolleys and two range tokens we were charged €86. The buggy was €58 and it was the most basic of buggies. No sat nav or yardages built in. They tried to charge us another €8 each for yardage books. This was by far the most expensive course for the extras.
No starter was on duty so the first tee was a shambles with arguments galore as some groups had arrived late. Range balls that wouldn't fly as they were so old and free of dimples. An absolutely awful drinks buggy that was empty and was seen only once in 4.5 hours.
All in all a good course, but one that left a really bad taste. When extras are twice the price of The Old Course at Vilamoura there is only one way to describe Oitavos : a complete rip off.
Extremely disappointed with the Oitavos offering overall and we will not be back.

If you like ultra modern hotel where each room has either sunrise or sunset view. One of the best golf pitch in the world. Ocean. Lovely nice town next to it. Than you should book it now.

Das Hotel ist ganz ok. Es fehlt jedoch die Liebe zum Detail! Es ist super modern, könnte jedoch einen neuen Feinschliff gebrauchen. (Balkone und Flure) Die Flure stinken nach Gummi und wirken kalt und vollkommen unpersönlich! Der Wellnessbereich und der Außenpoolbereich wirken ebenfalls kalt, ohne Details und Wärme. Hier geht deutlich mehr. Der Wellnessbereich ist klein und der direkte Durchgang zum Außenpool ein riesiger Raum ohne Nutzen und Einrichtung. Das hat kein 5 Sterne Niveau und muss verbessert werden. Das Frühstück ist ok, jedoch für 25€ pro Person ganz schön teuer. Für Familien ist das Hotel nichts. Kinder sind zwar erlaubt, langweilen sich jedoch, da es nichts für sie gibt. Das Personal ist freundlich und immer bemüht. Zum Golfen ist es für 3 Tage ganz nett, aber für den Family Urlaub nicht geeignet. Die Zimmer sind groß, mit Wellnesstoilette, Raindusche und großem Balkon, und wirklich das beste an dem Hotel.

Horrible hospitality. €70 charge on buggy and no restaurant during winter season. Course is just average links course with poor maintenance. Never recommend to anyone.

Very nice and picturesque golf course with fantastic views over Cabo de Roca, Sintra mountain and Atlantic ocean. Plays easy when weather is quiet and long when wind picks up.

We played the course in beautiful weather in late September. Fair warning to those from the United States that this is a great golf course but the amenities are Spartan. We used a buggy (motor driven golf cart for us Yankees); I would urge you to walk. The course itself is a series of challenging shots and photo ops. If you can hit the ball straight, you can score, but if you are not a big banger you will face several long and challenging second shots. The par threes are excellent.
Arthur Hills design. If there is any drawback to the design, it is the green complexes. Narrow on the shorter holes, but not very challenging.
In summary, a serious golf course for serious golfers. Single categorical flaw is maintenance. Rough–hewn.....

terrible.golf.course and terrible service... we attends fro our tee time to be greeted by very rude staff.. the course tried to rip.us off changing the price at the course when we arrived from.the price they quoted when we made the tee time.. everyone stay away.. way better courses in the area .

The best golfing experience in Portugal. Fantastic service and great food in an extraordinary clubhouse that, despite it's modern design, blends perfectly with the beautiful surrounding nature. The course is extremely tough and every hole unique. The upkeep of the course has never disappointed. This is a must when you visit the Lisbon golf district.

Such an interesting layout. great routing and a wonderful test of golf. You won't find a better course, better staff, or better value in Portugal. My wife and I have played courses all over the USA but still talk about Oitavos Dunes. You could play it every day and not be bored.
