Pulvo dishes were ok, but not as amazing as others said in the review. I had pulvo dishes in other random restaurants, and they were just as good. BUT, their dessert is really, really good! Cheesecake was the best thing we had there. I’d go back just for the cheesecake if I could.

A not so much turistic place in Cascais, perfect if you want to escape the "disneyland" of the centre and enjoy the locals life, but must of all if you want to eat well! Small and cozy place I really recommend. The new chef can handle a mix and match of italian and portuguese recipes with an eye to the mediterranean tradition. Fresh ingredients, a well executed and genuine cousine, olive oil, butter and garlic are in the right quantity. The menu is pretty wide and full of choices. The venue is really small but it's so nice because it looks like "you own kitchen" and it's funny.

Comi o prato Migas e para quem gosta de um polvo fresco, aqui achará um. Bem temperado e bem servido caiu bem com o vinho branco que não me lembrei de perguntar o nome. Staff muito atencioso e melhor ainda por ser pequeno espaço, vale muito a pena a espera. Simplesmente perfeito.

Siendo la especialidad el pulpo podían cuidar más su cocinado. Todos los platos adolecen de estar tiernos. El pulpo a "galega" un verdadero fiasco y el frito demasiado duro. Una pena pero no recomiendo ni siquiera como último recurso cuando no hay otro sitio disponible.

A must taste when in Cascais. The best all about Octopus restaurant. We tried the fried ans grilled octopus and both the dishes disappeared with in a blink of an eye . The octopus was so soft and perfectly cooked.

Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per le 21,30 e con nostra amara sorpresa ci hanno fatto aspettare 15 minuti.... Prima di dirci che il tavolo era occupato!non posso giudicare la cucina..... Ma, sicuramente, la professionalità del ristoratore è molto carente!

Personalmente si has probado el pulpo en Galicia yo no iría a tomar pulpo a este sitio. Demasiado aderezado en mi opinión, mucho cilantro y mucha cebolla. Se pierde el sabor del pulpo

After more than 1 hour waiting we got seated. After ordering 15 minutes later when we got seated, they come 1 hour later telling that if no body had come to tell us that they had ran out of octopus...incredible but truth. We had to leave after more than 2 hours without having dinner and finally had to end at McDonald’s as all the other restaurant had closed...

Uma casa muito pequena com meia dúzia de lugares, tudo muito apertado e com poucas condições logísticas e ambientais. Só tem polvo, vários pratos quase todos bem conseguidos e agradáveis. Vai-se uma vez e já chega.

Был наслышан, что португалы любят и умеют готовить пьяного восьминога и тут это заведение подвернулось. Животинку бьют и вымачивают в красном вине, подают с картофельным пюре -очень нежное блюдо.
Само заведение маленькое, временами снаружи люди стоят и ждут, когда освободится столик, а официантка выносит им напитки. Так что тут все просто и недорого.

Un sitio pequeñito, pero con mucho encanto, alejado de la zona más comercial de Cascais. Ideal para ir solo o en pareja. Son especialistas en pulpo, que cocinan de muchas maneras diferentes. Yo pedí el carpaccio y el pulpo al vino tinto y ambos platos estaban espectaculares. Si alguna vez vuelvo a Cascais probaré sus otras especialidades.

Don't go here if you don't like octopus! Nestled in a quaint street in Cascais, a 2 minutes walk from the touristy square, this little gem is worth await. The tiny space holds about 8 small tables, but has an open kitchen and bar. The octopus dishes are all cooked to perfection with local flavours. Wines and prices are good. Friendly service and a nice homey atmosphere. Easy to miss, so keep your eyes open for it!

Gemütlich ist es nicht wirklich. Rustikal, ganz wenige einfache Tische. Blick auf die Straße und in die Küche.
Das Essen dafür wirklich gut. Wir hatten Polvo frito (super), Polvo a lagareiro und Lasagna portugesa (beides sehr gut), dann einen einfach tollen Cheese Cake Carmelo.
Und sehr nettes Personal.

La comida de 10 y la atención también. La relación calidad-precio estupenda, teniendo en cuenta que todo lo que hemos pedido era pulpo (hemos comido tres platos por 40 euros).
El local es pequeño y estrecho. Nosotros íbamos con un carrito de bebé y hay que hacer tetris para encajar.

Génial ! Petit resto (peu de tables, mieux vaut s'y présenter tôt car ne prends pas les réservations) tout mignon dans rue animée du centre. Amoureux du poulpe, vous serez servis ! Il est cuisiné en de nombreuses façons : nous avons pu goûter en beignets avec aïoli, en carpaccio avec fenouil et orange, en ragoût au vin rouge ~daube avec purée au parmesan et "lagueiro" ~ mode classique portugaise avec huile d'olive et pomme de terre. Tout était absolument délicieux ! Très bien présentés et surtout très bien servis avec un service extrêmement aimable et sympathique, toujours prêt à donner de bons conseils. Je recommande vivement !

Это место - маленькая забегаловка, где очень неплохо умеют готовить рыбные блюда, особенно осьминогов и кальмаров. Впрочем, это ясно и из названия. Не стоит ожидать здесь изысканной сервировки или сложных блюд. Всё довольно просто, но вкусно и качественно. Осьминог в красном вине - так вообще лучшее, что мы ели в Португалии. Плюс есть относительно недорогое, но тоже отличного качества вино Верде. И, что также немаловажно, очень приветливый персонал. На удивление для такого маленького заведения - карты принимают. Рекомендую!

En un ambiente de pueblo pesquero, en mitad de una calle empinada se ve un minusculo restaurante a la izquierda. Con decorados de madera entras y como no haya sitio lo llevas claro. No se puede reservar pero si estas dispuesto a esperar entre 15 y 20 minutos podras decir después de la cena, que ha merecido la pena. Una carta no muy extensa: 7-8 entrantes y la misma cantidad de platos principales, hacen que no sea muy difícil elegir. Más y cuando todo esta buenisimo. El bacalao frito y el pulpo es OBLIGATORIO, pate de sardinhas y el postre con crema de la casa, lo mismo. Carta con buena variedad de vinos y a precios asequibles (entre 12€ y 28€).
Repetiriamos sin lugar a dudas.
La cuenta final, 2 personas con dos entrantes, 2 platos principales, botella de vino de 16€ y postre, fueron 55€.

Very small and cute place with fresh food!
Prices might be a little « high » but it remains one of the best sea food restaurant in Cascais.
Octopus is fresh and well cooked and it is a pleasure to find it.
Also, the foreign waiter spoke in French with us as he spent some month in France, it was cute.
You have to try it but with a booking!

The menu is creative & full of flavor tucked away in a narrow ally. Enjoy a drink on the street before sitting down. You might have to go back a second time before leaving Cascais. Enjoy!

Hoje fui a Cascais ao PolvoVadio, adorei, simples, pessoal muito simpático e prestável. Comemos 5 entradas e polvo à lagareiro, uma delícia, claro não faltando a sangria branca para acompanhar o repasto. É recomendado!!!!

Confesso que inicialmente gostava bastante do restaurante. Muitas variedades de polvo. Da última vez que estive pela parca escolha de polvo escolhi almôndegas com burrata. Foram servidas 3 almôndegas grandes com uma lasca de burrata. Só isto... Bem confeccionado e bom atendimento mas não vale 12€. Desculpem perderam cliente. O espaço é acanhado têm que ganhar os clientes de outro modo.

Un restaurante pequeñito pero de buena calidad, abre a las 12.30 en verano y sino tienes reserva se suele llenar rápido. Nosotros pedimos pulpo y estaba muy bueno, se deshacía en la boca. Además el personal muy amable siendo raro que den ese trato en Lisboa.

Очень правильная ставка на осьминога. Вроде бы туристическая улица, могли работать спустя рукава, ан нет). Работают на отлично. Осьминог как закуска, как основное блюдо, с чесноком и без, миниосьминоги - вот вкусно все! Но средний чек с пивом и вином в пределах 50-60 евро. Прекрасно, что открываются не в 19:30, как все, а в 18:30. Вешают фонарики и флажки, но могут не вешать, за 15 минут после открытия море людей.

Go here for great service, amazing octopus and leave room for the cheesecake too! We had sardines served with salsa verde which were nice and fried burrata caprese - very tasty. We had two of the octopus dishes for main which were cooked perfectly. The caramel cheesecake was delicious. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Buen equilibrio en calidad / precio. Sí puede parecer caro pero probar las dos especialidades de pulpo que tienen es un manjar indispensable en Portugal. Puede salir a 20 euros por persona, pero es muy recomendable comer aquí.

Lugar muy acogedor, una buena oferta culinaria done evidentemente predomina el pulpo. Hay dos especialidades, que son las de la fotos, que están verdaderamente exquisitas.
El precio de estos especiales es de 14 euros cada uno, los entrantes rondan los 9 euros.
Muy recomendable para comer un buen plato de pulpo aquí, que es lo característico.

I went here for a romantic meal with my girlfriend the other evening after finding the place on Foursquare. The young lad who served us was phenomenal and the food was exquisite. My girlfriend had the special of the day Ravioli and I had the cod lasagne along with octopus starters. He recommended wine for us and honestly some of the best food and service I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend to anyone.

They made really delicious octopus. So if you are big fan of it. You should not miss this restaurant :)) But if you would like to try other fish menu. This might be slightly limited. The staffs are super nice!!! The price is perfect!!! Recommended :))

The octopus is really good they offer it a number of ways including traditional. The Italian food is really good to, making it perfect for kids. Small place so make sure you make a reservation or check Google for the busy times. Their Carmel cheesecake dessert is really good too.

Polvo frito was delicious but the polvo a lagareiro didn't have much salt and the vegetables were too hard and polvinhos bêbados were too salty. But I loved the dessert, cheese cake pistachio and salted caramel, is a must try, one of the best cheese cakes I have ever tried in a restaurant!! Overall a good experience ;) prices were also a bit higher compared to other restaurants in another regions of Portugal. Try that dessert and the delicious polvo!

Great restaurant, always busy but it’s worth the wait.
Staff is helpful and friendly, extremely good for value for money! Delicious octopus dishes in every form. We enjoyed so much and I can’t recommend it enough.
Be careful with pudding, is so good that you need to ask it twice (cheesecake).

Lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen.
Sehr nettes Personal, kleines, süßes Restaurant und ein fantastischer Oktopus,der in seiner Zubereitung nicht zu übertreffen ist.
Wir haben uns zu zweit eine Vorspeise geteilt: Ziegenfrischkäse mit Brot für 4€, hatten zwei Bier und eine Flasche Wasser (1,80€ pro bier).
Als Hauptspeise hatten wir Oktopus auf portugisische Art (14€) so yummii
Und Oktopus in Rotwein geschmort (12€) traumhaft. Alles war absolut fantastisch, so gut, dass wir überlegen, den Weg von 30 Kilometern mit dem Zug erneut auf uns zu nehmen, um noch Mal hier Essen zu gehen! ❤️

Having just finished dinner after three amazing courses of octopus, paired with brilliant local craft beer and some hair raisingly delicious Rum I cannot recommend this place enough. Well worth searching out if you are ever here and with only five tables it's an amazing atmosphere to match the food.

Um restaurante bem pequeno mas que parecia ter um polvo espetacular. Ficamos na porta aguardando sob o Sol que uma mesa ficasse vaga. Depois de algum tempo duas mesas vagas e ninguem aguardando alem de mim e do meu marido. Além de não sermos atendidos, a atendente foi bastante rude qdo perguntamos se poderiamos aguardar do lado de dentro do restaurante para sair do Sol. Uma pena, mas preferimos desfrutar nosso almoço em outro local.

Если взял наугад, прочитавшиеся одно слово, нечего пенять на кухню... Еда волшебная, ценник ещё более волшебный.. ...бутылка хорошего вина - 8 е., очень хорошего - 16 е. Все честно, все видно, все вина в прямом доступе, можно взять, посмотреть, оценить и прицениться... Тесновато, но это тоже показатель востребованности и популярности места...

Un lugar es más que buen producto bien cocinado. La atencion y cuidado del cliente es fundamental. Me entristece ver como a mucha gente que se acerca al lugar para cenar se le dice que esta cerrado ya, sin reserva no es posible o cualquier otra excusa ( habiendo mesa) Luego llega otra gente y si tienen mesa. Todo ello aderezado con sonrisas cómplices desde la cocina al camarero. Lo he visto hacer tantas veces mientras cene, que no es fruto de la casualidad. Lamentable para un sitio que sirve uno de los mejores pulpos de Cascais. El personal no esta a la altura.

O restaurante é super pequeno, a cozinha precisa de uma limpeza e a cozinheira tem de ter atenção aos comentários, nem todas a pessoas são estrangeiras.
Comemos polvo à lagareiro que estava óptimo e polvo à minhota mas este infelizmente só se aproveitava o polvo.
Mas não deixem de experimentar e tirar as vossas proprias conclusões.

This restaurant changed my life! I was really scared to eat the octopus, but after the recomendation of lovely waitress i went for it. And it was heaven! Thank you guys! 여기... 예약 안하면 먹기 힘들어요. 7시 30분부터 디너 시작인데 테이블이 4개인가... 아무튼 너무 작아서 다 예약 차있어요 ㅠㅠ 겨우 예약하고 갔는데 리스본에서 먹었던 문어구이보다는.. 더 딱딱했어요. 그 곳이 워낙 비싸고 유명한 곳이어서 더 비교가 됐던 것 같은데요. 와인 반뱡도 심하게 싸고, 메뉴 자체들이 비싸지 않아요.

If you like octopus, well, that's a place you should not miss. And if you like good quality food for a fair price, that's also your place. Here I had the best octopus ever, tender and delicious, served with grelos (rapini or broccoletti or cime di rapa) and potatoes. Local craft beers are also served and the staff is super friendly. No tourist trap and no "traditional" crap, five stars fully deserved.

Big portions of food, prepared very well. Friendly host and for early lunch we were able to make things work with our infant daughter. Consider lunching on a series of the small plates if you want to taste many things. Price was right.

This tiny little 14-seater was completely empty when I arrived quarter to 8 on a Friday despite all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. I hesitated but quickly learned that all but two seats were reserved for later that evening and sure enough, the people soon started trickling in. Decent sized menu, a few options for entrees and and a few for tapas. Octopus baked with garlic, potatoes, and spinach and a heavy dose of olive oil, this was absolutely delicious. Octopus was incredibly tender, potatoes perfect, and garlic cooked through until sweet. A very appropriate portion. Octopus dishes range from 9.50-12€, tapas, fish, and meat also available.
Tip: know that if you book a reservation, they'll hold for half an hour before you lose your seats. They were turning people away until about the 20 minute mark and suggested they come back in 10 to see if they could seat them instead of the no-shows. Considerate owners.
Menus available in Portuguese and English and the lovely owner is able to communicate quite well in English.

Ce fut génial. Trop bon. Excellent. Les mots me manquent tant ce fut bon et que je ne trouve pas de qualificatifs afin de décrire cette découverte culinaire. Amateurs de poulpe, foncez! Et surtout réservez votre table car y en a qu une dizaine. Idéal 21h afin de ne pas être sous pression par les autres clients qui attendent.

Неплохое место чтобы отведать осьминога. Из плюсов: недорого(блюда не дороже 12 евро, на двоих средний счёт 30-40 евро), неплохое обслуживание. Насчёт качества остались двоякие впечатления: осьминог с мидиями был неплох, вкус приятный, не резиновый, но немного пересолен, пробывали и получше, так что ставлю 4. Однако жаренный осьминог оказался в панировке, это какое-то преступление, как можно испортить такое нежное мясо в голове не укладывается, поэтому 2 бала только. Из того что не понравилось, заказывали 2 бокала домашнего вина по 1.8, а в счете они оказались по 3 евро, оказалось это другое вино, но да ладно, портить вечер уже не хотелось. В общем сходить можно, только не следует заказывать филе осьминога и жаренного из закусок, и также столик следует бронировать заранее.

Agréable surprise dans le centre de Cascais, un peu en recul des restaurants touristiques. Ce petit restaurant dispose d'une petite salle. La spécialité, le poulpe ! Très typique et à 200% du fais maison. On a pas l occasion de manger tous les jours du poulpe car il faut le dire c'est assez spécial ! Mais nous avons redécouvert ce produit au travers dz ce resto ! N hésitez pas à attendre pour avoir une table. Ce restaurant vaut le détour !

Una piacevole scoperta nel cuore di Cascais! Ristorantino molto piccolo con pochi posti a sedere all'interno e all'esterno, specializzato in piatti a base di polipo. La qualità è veramente alta in confronto ai prezzi. Polipo buonissimo in ogni variante, grigliato, fritto, in insalata, ecc.. Ce n'è per tutti i gusti.
Ci sono appena stato con la mia ragazza, il personale è molto cortese e pronto a consigliare i piatti secondo i propri gusti. Abbiamo preso varie porzioni condivise per assaggiare più piatti tra cui: polipo fritto (molto buono, servito con salsa all'aglio e limone), frittatine di polipo (piccole, buone ed economiche), polipo alla galeva ( fettine sottili con olio e paprica. Ottimo!) e il buonissimo polipo con fagioli e riso (una porzione abbondante veramente gustosa). Il tutto accompagnato da una bottiglia di vino bianco secco (fresco e fruttato) scelto per noi dalla cameriera. La cena si è conclusa con un dolce tipico consigliato da cameriere e chef, una torta con mandorle e uovo tipica portoghese. A vista non l'avrei mai scelta, ma ci siamo dovuti ricredere! Tanto buona da cercare subito la ricetta :)
