Estaba todo buenísimo y muy buena atención. Salimos con muy buen sabor de boca y la tarta de mouse de chocolate espectacular. Lo recomiendo.

Comida maravilhosa, de comer rezando!!! Excelente atendimento. O chef está de parabéns pela dedicação em cada prato. Recomendo que venham comer aqui. A dona, senhora Rosa, faz o atendimento pessoalmente, dando dicas e atendendo com muito carinho cada cliente.

Estuvimos recorriendo Portugal de norte a sur y en nuestro último día visitamos este restaurante por casualidad. Nos sentimos como en casa con el trato recibido y no solo por la amabilidad, también por la cercanía de la dueña/cocinera y sus hijos. La comida exquisita y sabrosa, con variedad de platos a elegir. Pedimos todo para compartir y a cual mejor. Recomiendo el bacalao gratinado y el pulpo al grill. Los postres también eran todos caseros y sin lugar a duda me quedo con el tiramisú de piña colada. Un 10 en todo. Si por casualidades de la vida vuelvo a pasar por allí no lo pensaré ni un segundo en volver.

Perfect place to ha e authentic Portuguese food. It all self/home made and delicious. Very friendly service. After the dinner we were also offered delicious Porto wine. It is also not in the middle of touristic area which is nice too.

Great place to grab lunch! Simple Portuguese delicious food, large portions, and a very fair price. Dish of the day is 12.50. The rest of the menu is in a similar price range. Highly recommended!

Originelles, "uhriges" , gemütliches kleines Restaurant ,super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Essen, Dorade, Spiess mit Scampies, Oktopus und Garnelen war super lecker. Die Vorspeise (Thunfischcreme) unbedingt probieren!! Zum Abschluss gab es einen Portwein als Gruss des Hauses, sehr freundliche Bedienung Jederzeit wieder!!

In einer kleinen ruhigen Gasse etwas abseits. Habe Vorspeise bestellt Thunfischcreme für € 3.50 und etwas Brot dazu dann aber für € 2.00 . Hauptspeise war leider nix aber vielleicht ist das auch Geschmackssache. Preis/Leistung für Portugal eine Katastrophe! Aber sehr freundlich dafür auch 2 Sterne. Leider keine Wiederholung wert!

Abril de 2019. Las 3 personas que comimos en A Nova Estrela salimos encantadas. La atención es muy correcta y nos sirvieron la comida sin dilación. La calidad estupenda, es uno de los restaurantes en los que mejor comimos en nuestra visita a Lisboa y además a un precio inmejorable. Me resultó curioso y me agradó que a la hora de solicitar el postre nos pidieran que nos acercáramos a la cámara en la que los tenían guardados para poder elegirlo con mayor conocimiento de causa. Nos invitaron a un chupito a elegir entre dos que nos pusieron en la mesa. La factura nos la trajeron dentro de una cajita junto con 3 caramelos y 2 pegatinas con la bandera de Portugal y, aunque la adjunto, comento lo que comimos por si no se entiende bien: 1 Martini, 2 cervezas, 1 botella grande de agua, 1 plato de aceitunas, pan, 2 sopas portuguesas, ( son con verduras), 1 plato de embutido portugués, 1 dorada a la brasa, 1 pulpo también a la brasa, 1 bacalao y 3 postres . Y todo eso ¡¡ 70€ !! Lo recomiendo sin dudarlo. /

Si llegas más tarde de las 14:30h no te sientan n mesa, nosotros llegamos sobre las 14:45 y nos dijeron que ya no iban a sentar a nadie más, sobre la comida no puedo valorar porque no nos dieron de comer. Si es una zona turística deberían de adaptar los horarios de comida. Espero que les sea útil

Do you dislike fish ?
Go there and you are gonna to want some often.
Do not go there to have nice plates and fabric tablecloth but order a sea bass or a dorado with some vetetables and enjoy really your meal.

Friendly service and cheap carafe of wine. However the fish inside a light batter looked and felt uncooked. The chips were chewy like they’d been hanging around. No amount of nice tartar sauce made this dish edible:(

Small and intimate local restaurant offering a limited (but good!) selection of fresh fish. Had the grilled octopus plus a mixed salad and it was delicious - the octopus was very tender.
Service is attentive and friendly, house wine more than quaffable, and prices were good. Suggest booking if there are a lot of you as the place doesn’t have too many tables inside.

O atendimento prestado pelos atendentes, e principalmente pela proprietária, sempre risonha, foi primoroso. Um detalhe interessante, o cozinheiro é nrasileiro, gaúcho e gremista.
A comida saborosa, e ao final nos foi oferecido um cálice de vinho do Porto e licor de amêndoas.
Importante: tudo a um custo bem razoável.

Restaurante simpático de família , com comidas saborosas e preço justo e que tem as melhores sobremesas , feita pela dona Rosa que é a dona do restaurante que é muito simpática . Comemos um bolo tipo mousse de chocolate maravilhoso e ainda vamos voltar para experimentar o cheesecke que ela estava terminando de preparar .

Find your way out of the tourist trap restaurants heading away from the water just a few steps to this lovely gem! So worth it. Not only is the food terrific, the service is the best around Cascais(hope you get Bernard)! Some added pluses are the excellent sangria and generous digestifs, oh and can’t forget the home made flan! The place itself is endearingly quirky and adorable! You can’t lose track of time here, wink! Bathrooms are very clean. The wallpaper is the perfect backdrop for some nice photos!

We went during lunch time and had an amazing welcome from the owners of this family restaurant. They doesn't have a fancy menu or restaurant but this is exactly what makes them unique. A really warm environment where you can taste amazing and simple food like you would like to have everyday at home. They have options for meat, fish and vegetarians in a no expensive price in the center of Cascais. The owners speaks many languages, so don't be afraid to try this place. In the end you should taste the Porto Wine and Licor from the house... Is worth it

Vale cada estrela e a posição número 1 do TripAdvisor. É um daqueles locais que se come com gosto. Pequeno, familiar e com muito sabor. Se vê a paixão pela comida da família inteira. O atendimento foi um dos melhores que tive em Portugal. Pessoal atencioso e prestativo.
A escolha foi o polvo, o prato assinatura do local. Polvo fresco direto dos pescadores, bem temperado e no ponto perfeito. Dá de 10 em muitos locais sofisticados.
A sobremesa, o cheesecake, é caseira e uma delícia. Tem diversas outras opções, cada uma mais tentadora que a outra.
Vale com certeza a visita. O preço é super justo e não irá se arrepender.

Wow, after 19 days in Portugal, I waited to write this, this was the best place for us, two families traveling 4 adults, 2 youngsters, and 5 kids... Family run place with perfect food and "kids friendly" not as the slogan, but something you will never forefo... Sorry, if this could look like advertising, but these people should be adored for what they are doing...

Very friendly service and reasonable prices. Would recommend the cod (creamy cornbread or grilled). Large serving size for the Greek salad. Cash only, but the staff makes up for any inconvenience that might cause. Finish your meal with the homemade chocolate cake with strawberries and a nice spot of port.

Comimos a buen precio y muy bien pescado del día ( éste día había dorada y lubina ). Está un poco alejado de los sitios más pegados a la playa donde te clavan una pasta y merece la pena. Hay que pagar en efectivo por lo que ponía en un cartel ( os lo pongo por si acaso sólo lleváis tarjeta )

Starters were basic, fine. Soup good, but poorly heated. Fish of the day - salmon - was. Not good. It's true I have more sensitive nose, but still, I never had salmon which smelled so..unfresh to say it nicely. We told the waiter, that we are not sure, if the fish is ok (since we don't eat fish every day), and was told without much checking "the fish is good". He offered us to let it cook more, but I refused. The smell was already making me bit sick and cooking would just amplify that.
We were really sad, the rewievs looked good.

We saw the good reviews and decided to go out of our way to go to the restaurant. We order, eat, and go to pay and are then told the establishment doesn't take cards - cash only.
After I ask if there's a sign somewhere (because it wasn't written on the menu) the waiter tells me it's at the front of the window (which I looked for and couldn't find).
I gave them feedback that they should really tell us this before we sit down and he lets me know I shouldn't worry there's an atm he would send me to if I didn't have enough. Well that doesn't cut it because what if I don't want to pay an atm fee or in my case I never get cash advances from a credit card. His response to that was that people always ask first so the onus is on me I guess to assume that they aren't a modern business that takes credit card.
Besides this annoying fact the food wasn't anything special. Fries were cold, waiter seemed rude, arrogant and unfriendly, creamy cod with cornbread tasted like a bunch of rice and potatoes with a tiny bit of cod.

Es un restaurante pequeñito, muy familiar. Está situado en una calle secundaria y pasa totalmente desapercibido, hay que estar atentos. La comida es casera, probamos un bacalao al horno exquisito y de postre tarta de queso espectacular. Nos invitaron a un chupito, detalle de la casa. Muy buena relación calidad/precio.

Decidimos acudir al local viendo las reseñas tan estupendas que tenia y aun indicando en google que estaba abierto nos encontramos que el local cerrado por vacaciones, tambien llamamos varias veces pot telefono y no daba tono por lo que pensamos que quizas el numero era erroneo.

Ci siamo affidati a TripAdvisor che di solito non ci azzecca mai, ma stavolta ci ha preso bene.
Locale caratteristico molto accogliente, personale molto cortese, ha distribuito giochi e pennarelli ai bambini per intrattenerli.
All'inizio vi chiedono se desiderate un po'di antipasti, abbiamo preso baccalà e carne.

1 litro di sangria, amaro offerto della casa.
In 4 57 euro , mangiato benissimo e siamo stati benissimo.
Lo consiglio se siete in zona anche con bambini.

I went to this place because of rating and I think it might be wrong. This is a 5 star place specially in the service part. Food is great and reasonably priced and you have the choice to eat inside or outside (which is pretty quiet). I highly recommend the place.

One of this places that you fall in love. Starting with a close and personal service, particularly nice if you go with kids, followed by a fresh and very well cooked food, and ending with a very reasonable prices...this restaurant is a winner bet. Recomiendo este sitio sin duda. El trato del personal es genial, el camarero es muy agradable y nos recomendó coger 2 platos en lugar de 3 que habíamos elegido porque iba a ser demasiado y la verdad que acertó por que quedamos saciados. A parte de los dos platos principales (pulpo y bacalao) comimos un par de entrantes, paté de atún y tabla de queso. La comida es excelente y el servicio muy rápido. Pagamos 45€ en total (2 personas) con vino, pan y café. Les doy 5 estrellas por el trato y la calidad de los platos.

This was the most memorable dining experience during our 10 days road trip from Lisbon to Porto! The place is a family run restaurant and we were hosted by the younger son. The young man spoke English to us and was really funny, polite and caring. At the end he offered us a liquor and said we could have it under 2 conditions: drink from the liqour as much as you want, but leave a little bit behind. And we got two bottles of liquor!
The food was very affordable and the plates were very big. The grilled octopus was the best we tasted across all PT. Food was served fairly fast and the young man advised us very well.
A really little gem from more than 50 restaurants I have tried during my trips in Portugal.

A really good experience tonight. As soon as we arrived and they noticed we had a little toddler and a baby with us they brought a set of crayons and two toys so they could be entertained. The food was really good, the house wine in the relation of price and quality is a good choice. In the end they brought us some liquors to, has they said, wish us a happy stay. It's the small gestures that make us like this type of restaurants. The hospitality and the food. No doubt I will repeat, and next time the cheesecake will be mine!

Looking at their front window, it’s obvious they want tourists to come. But they don’t have a CARD MACHINE. And when you comment, they show that smallest sticker “multibanco”. Tourists might not know what multibanco is or simply not see it. If you will never get a card machine, you need to make it more clear to your customers before seating them. Also they didn’t give a receipt to us when we paid. Is it avoid paying tax I wonder?

Calidad Precio inigualable en la zona, aún ubicado en el centro de Cascais. Se trata de un local familiar, con atención bastante buena, con trato cercano y amable pero muy profesional.
No es muy grande por lo que hace difícil encontrar mesa, es mejor ir no mas tarde de las 13:00 por si acaso.
Tiene una carta de comida bastante variada, no tanto en las bebidas, sobre todos cervezas :-) y los postres son caseros muy muy buenos.

Pequeño restaurante en el centro de Cascais, en una calle tranquila y apartada del bullicio más turístico. La comida estaba francamente buena y los camareros, muy jóvenes, nos trataron estupendamente. El chico hablaba un perfecto español. Sin duda fue un acierto en una zona repleta de restaurantes a la caza del turista.

Very homey, family-operated restaurant. However, the food is very hit and miss. "Tuna paté" was basically an American tuna salad, which makes it laughable to charge €3 for it, and unforgivable in a country where you can buy a delicious can of fish paté at the supermarket for €0.30. Fish of the day was well-grilled but painfully over-salted. Like someone dropped the entire salt shaker on the fish while grilling and hoped no one would notice. Octopus lagareiro, on the other hand, was very nice, served with smashed mini potatoes on a butter sauce. Overall, come if you want to support a small local family restaurant or want an affordable meal in Cascais, but know that you are rolling the dice on quality and taste.

Schöne Taverne, die famileingeführt ist. Leckere Fischgerichte zu bodenständigen Preisen in bodenständiger Atmosphäre. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es hat uns gut geschmeckt. Der Hauswein ist günstig und dafür erstaunlich gut. Auf jeden Fall die Thunfischpaste vorweg bestellen (von der Mutter hausgemacht).

Would recommend the cod au gratinad especially for tourists as it was my time trying it and I'm glad I did. We even got complimentary port and almond liquer to end the wonderful meal.
