Very nice setting, very clean, fresh towels and linen provided upon arrival, cleaned every day, very safe (gated) short walk to everything and the people who own and run the hostel are so chilled and friendly and helpful. When you take in the price as well this place is excellent!

Amazing place! Lots of space in the outside area and inside the hostel itself. I stay in the 6 bed room dorm and there was plenty of room for everyones stuff. The atmosphere is very relaxed, there's an awesome breakfast every morning and the location is great since it's only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. You can also rent surfboards and surf lessons there. Would stay here again.

Ziggy’s Surf House is an amazing place. I don’t even know where to start. How about at the top with the owner João? Every single day he puts his heart and soul into this establishment and bends over backwards for guests to make sure their expectations are being met. He understands service and communication. Every morning starts with João bringing in fresh breakfast foods, like tomatoes from his garden, freshly made bread and fruit from local shops. He also provides you with the surf/beach report for the day. João grew up here and he knows every place to lay in the sun, dine, surf, explore and discover around the area. Ziggy’s Surf House location is perfect, it’s literally a two minute walk from multiple beaches. There’s several restaurants within a 5 min walk, and even more if you’re willing to walk 10–15 mins! If you want to take the ferry to Lisbon, and explore this beautiful city, there’s a free bus that can be taken from the beach to the docks. From there it’s 1.75€ to get across. (Prices may vary at different seasons) Ferry runs from 7AM - 5AM (or close to that) it’s a fun, inexpensive, and extremely scenic little boat ride. Let’s talk about the name of this surf house..it comes from the one and only Mr. Ziggy! You’ll see his picture painted on the house along with all the other cool paintings and landscapes around the pool area which local artists have contributed. Ziggy is an English Bull Terrier and he’s the kindest, most playful dog. He loves to lay in the sun, play fetch, and watch you swim in the pool. Him and João are what makes this place special and unique. Lastly, the people I have met there during my experience were all incredible. People from all over the world! It’s so refreshing to be exposed to different cultures, languages and ways of life from intelligent and kind people who share the same mindset of exploring and creating new lasting friendships. I could talk for hours about my experience here but seriously...if you’ve read this far down, go ahead and book your spot here already before someone else takes it!!

Very relaxed hostel. Lots of space in the rooms & toilets. Nice big garden to kick a ball around or chill and swim in the pool. There was free breakfast every morning including tasty granola & soya milk. Overall the host João & the hostel dog Mr. Ziggy were very accommodative and friendly. Did I mention outside cinema night?!

Amazing Surf House. The space is beautiful, very clean and welcoming. The host, João, is an awesome host, friendly and always ready to help. Mr Ziggy Surf House is an awesome experience and I recommend it to anyone visiting Costa da Caparica.

Nada recomendable..... Sucio, cucarachas, con malos olores y los perros sueltos que orinan y hacen sus necesidades en el jardín sin que nadie los recoja. El encargado es un "fumao" que nos dio la impresión de estar todo el día ido....

Ambiente tranquilo e relaxante. Como uma verdadeira surfhouse. Parabéns.
