I'm actually shocked with the poor reviews... We had a fabulous meal. The salmon was exquisite, the pizzas - so light and cheesy, and the shrimp soup - very flavorful. Also, they make a mean mojito. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back. Service was okay, we had to ask someone to take our order but man, was the food ever good!

The food was very overpriced and pretty bad. My girlfriend had the vegan cabbage dish which was two pieces of steamed cabbage, lettuce and tiny bits of zucchini with two walnut pieces for 12€. The risotto I had was under cooked and also overpriced. We could have gone to the grocery store and made our 2 meals for 6€ and it would have been much better. The only good thing about this place was the location. It makes me want to dine and dash (we didn’t). Stay away!!!! This is the worst restaurant I think I have ever been to anywhere!!!

The service was indifferent and it didn’t help that the food was below average. In addition, the atmosphere was made difficult by a disagreement at a nearby table over why the restaurant didn’t serve tap water. Overall, not an experience I am eager to revisit.

Gostei bastante, comi salomao e a minha mulher uma pizza muito bem confecionada fui atendido por um rapaz de cabelo comprido que me indicou o salomao. Voltei hoje outra vez com um casal amigo ingles para jantar e fui atendido pelo mesmo rapaz. 5 estrelas. Obrigado

I was served fish that wasn't cooked through, so I got a completely new dish and a delicious Dessert for free.
The Rest of the food was good and they have a nice Terrasse, out in the sun.

This is worst restaurant in Portugal. Cold sardines that are not even fresh. Could not eat..i felt sick straight away. My girlfriend had bacalhau a bras dish and had bones inside. I don't have option for 0 star unfortunately.

Absolute disgrace. We’ve just finished eating and we feel as we have been robbed.
We had a menu because we were with a tourists group, and food was horrible (luckily we payed a long ago, we wouldn’t have wanted to see the price of those horrible meals)
The place was freezing cold and waiters treated us in a disrespectful way. But that wasn’t the worst part. We ordered a cup of wine that didn’t come with the menu so we had to pay it. 6.20€ A FREAKING CUP OF NORMAL WINE. They excuse was that they didn’t have any other wine...
Giving 1 star because u can’t give 0! Wouldn’t recommend it, simply go anywhere else

Pedidos extremamente demorados, mesmo bebida e sopa levaram 20 minutos para chegar a mesa.
Salmão estava estragado e tivemos de pedir novamente.
Spaghetti a carbonara completamente seco e morno
Bacalhau à Brás muito salgado e também morno.
Estão muito longe da realidade do valor que cobram pela comida.

Passez votre chemin et si toutefois vous faites une halte (ce qui serait une grosse erreur), surtout bien demander la carte pour les tarifs, au risque de vous faire servir et facturer le maximum sans l ' avoir désiré.

Restaurant modeste. Éviter la salles au rez de chaussée et les tables près des wc. Vous sortirez avec un mal de tête entre la salle bruillante et le ventilateur des wc.

We visited Sintra on a day trip from Lisbon (September, 2018). We had a later than desired start and Sintra was jam-packed full of tourists. It was still early, around 11AM, and we were looking for lunch before seeing some sites. We decided upon Paco Real and were not disappointed. We had their house pizza (ham, arugula/rocket and shaved parmesan) in the shade on the patio. The food was good and the beer was cold. That's what we needed for fuel for the day. All of the servers seemed a little stand-offish, but ours got the job done.

Bad food. Food arrives cold and dried on the top as though it was made hours before. Not even salt is enough in the food. Only saving grace is the decent service.

Was an amazing time here. Stopped for a crepe that looked amazing but sadly we missed the time for that. Our waiter was really sorry and took amazing care of us. Food was nice. Wine was amazing. We wound up deciding to miss our train and stay another hour. Live music. Lovely wine. Great waiter.

Tomamos dos mini ensaladas normales, una pizza individual y una lasaña, dos botellines de agua de 50 cl y 2 cocacola de 33 cl: 69,50 euros.
Ni café, ni postre, ni pan.
Se aprovechan de que en Sintra no hay nada alrededor que les haga competencia.
Por otro lado el camarero que nos atendió ya empezó mal: nos estrechó las cartas sin mirar y a la altura de nuestra cabezas, los platos en vez de dejarlos en la mesa, nos los daba en la mano...
En fín: Una estrella y soy generosa.

Comida bem confecionada, espaço agradável, preço dentro dos praticados na localidade, tendo em conta os comentários em relação aos preços é uma questão de lerem o menu, pois os valores constam no mesmo, as casas de banho estavam limpas e quando isso não acontece muitas das vezes a culpa é dos clientes, que não puxam o autoclismo e não colocam os papéis nos cestos disponíveis para o efeito, tampos das sanitas com urina também é comum encontrar. E ninguém vai colocar um funcionário para limpar as casas de banho cada vez que um cliente lá vai.

Non male! La posizione è ottima, in pieno centro a due passi dal Palacio nacional, i piatti (bacalhau a bras e pizza) buoni (non eccellenti) e cameriere molto gentili.
Nota dolente il conto: secondo me un po' altino ma va detto che sintra essendo piccola non offre molte alternative.
Si mangia bene ma occhio al prezzo!

Caro, trivial, sem atrativos.
Pedimos bacalhau a Brás. Veio uma espécie de "massa" de batata palha molhada em algum mingau feito de agua de bacalhau.
Definitivamente, não recomendo.
Nos arrependemos de não haver consultado as avaliações antes.
Deixa a impressão de falta de honestidade de propósito.

restaurant attrape touristes. Les plats sont très moyens (pizza froide et assiette de pâtes peu consistante) et sans beaucoup de goûts. par contre les prix sont élevés ! il y a beaucoup mieux dans la vieille ville de Sintra.
en payant attention à votre monnaie ! les serveurs se gardent un pourboire sans vous demander votre avis...

The restaurant looks nice and has a good location. The quality was very bad. The carpaccio was frozen to the plate, the risotto was too salty and tasted of instant soup, order or wine was forgotten, my friend felt bad in the stomach through the night and the next morning. I would only recommend the place to people I don't like. Bad quality + high price = tourist trap.

Expérience banal. Restaurant de touriste. Il cuisine traditionnel sans intérêt particulier et prix relativement cher. Correct mais sans plus.
Présentation du plat correct mais pour ma part le calamar est un peu caoutchouteux... Je pense à du surgelé.
Si vous chercher le bon plan pendant votre voyage, il vous ce n'est pas ici.

Options are limited in small tourist towns and Sintra is no exception. Paco Real is fine for what it is. Yes, it is expensive so those on a budget beware. That said, you don't come here for a gourmet steak. Stick with the staples. Bread, cheese, pasties, etc. Follow those guidelines and you will leave a little poorer but at least fed. The first server was very cold, but the young lady that attended to me later during my meal was lovely.

We ordered the shrimp linguine, Portuguese pizza and a couple draft beers. Both were very good. The shrimps where a little smaller than the pictures but still the dish was very good. The pizza was thin and not heavy. Overall a good experience for lunch after visiting Pena Palace.

We had the Portuguesa pizza and the linguini with shrimp. Both were tasty and were also reasonably priced. We ate too quickly before remembering to take pictures. We also ordered bread and olives and asked for olive oil with salt and pepper. I would eat there again and recommend it to any tourists walking down from the Pena Palace. Obregada!

I ordered a pasta and a risotto with 7-ups. Both foods were terrible ever even 7-ups tasted sour like it's been long stored. I recommend rather go to grocery store and pick some frozen food then microwave it.

義大利麵沒有味道、燉飯有奇怪的騷味（很像過期臭酸的味道），用餐環境有許多蒼蠅、衛生令人堪慮。唯一可取的是菜單有設計感，此外一點優點也沒有。非常不推薦遊客來這家食物又貴又難吃（價值14歐元的義大利麵連冷凍食品都不如）的餐廳。

Este lugar, aprovecha su ubicación, para sacarle el dinero a los turistas. Cometí el error de leer los comentarios después de haber ordenado la comida, o sea ya no podia dar marcha atras. Positivo: la comida estuvo buena, elaboración rápida.
Negativo: precios exageradamente ALTOS. Una copa de vino por 9€, una botella de agua pequeña 3.10 €.
Portugal es talvez el pais mas barato de Europa, pero en Sintra abusan del turista!!!

Sorry to say but our perfect visit to Sintra was spoiled with horrible food. After a long day enjoying the lovely gardens of the Palace of Pena, we went to Paco Real and had high expectations, as it seemed like a neat place to have some supper... but NO!!!

Man muss die Spaghetti selber salzen :) sonst hat es kein Geschmack. Die Kellnerin ist nicht motiviert :) warum auch immer :)
Zu empfehlen ist dieses Restaurant auf jeden Falls nicht :)
Ich glaube, dass dem Besitzer sowieso die Bewertung egal ist. So viele schlechte Bewertung und es passiert immer wieder :)

5 waiters working place empty and took 15 minutes to make 2 coffes. Bad organization, and unpleasent waiter bringing the coffe. They lied saying one part wasclosed, to lave us in the entrance close to the door cold. 2coffes for 7 euros!!!! 5 camareros el redtaurante vacio y tardaron 15 minutos en traer ncafé. nos mintireron diciendo que una parte estaba cerrada nos dejaron cerca fe la pierta de salids con frío. 2 cafes 7 euros!!! Un timo con mala atención.

I should have read the reviews before ordering here. I feel bad about spending my money in this place. The food was mediocre at best, and not worth the price. I would advise against going here.
We had:
Sangria: 10 euro for a big lemonade
Sardines: the fish was not gutted before cooking which made the taste rather bad, and a big mess on the plate.
Pizza: the restaurant calls itself pizzeria but the pizza was far from quality. I've had better frozen pizza's at home
Garlick bread: you get a lot but its very dry and tasteless
Codfish cakes: semi ok but definitely not fresh-made, or quality.
When mentioning lack of quality to the waiter, "sorry" was the answer, followed by "here is your bill".
I will not come back, and hope this review helps others.

Ce n'est même pas une question de prix, nous arrivons devant une armée de serveurs, rapidement nous nous asseyons et prenons une pizza... celle-ci étant ni bonne ni mauvaise, je suis en revanche choquée par l'insalubrité des lieux, le sol ne semble ne jamais avoir été nettoyé, par terre on trouve des clous, des capsules des bouchons de bouteilles et toute sorte de papiers. Nous sommes installés face à une déserte dégueulasses ou les produits d'entretiens côtoient la vaisselles destinée au dressage des tables.. pendant ce temps la, les serveurs tournent en rond ou compte leurs tips (à 20h30) et le responsable est carrément assis derrière le bar et ne bouge pas dun yota, il semble regarder Facebook ou je ne sais. Bref cest vraiment un manque de respect d'ouvrir un si gros restaurant et de se la jouer classe alors quil est laissé à l'abandon.. et je ne parle pas de la couche de poussière sur les meubles . A fuir.

Unpleasant experience mostly because of the staff. Pizza we had was ok, bread, olives and cheese for starters delicious. But waiters couldn't bother more for customers it seems like working there is some kind of punishment for Sintra citizens.

The food is ok, but definitely the staff is not. Both the waiter and waitress were impolite and act like they are forced to work with people. Probably one of the worst, if not the worst restaurants I have ever eaten. The sangria tasted more like lemonade and was way too expensive for the quality (€10,- for something that does not remotely taste like good sangria). We also ordered a carpaccio, which was bland, and a vegetarian Greek salad which lacked all (nice) flavour. It was drenched in oil, the tofu was pure salt and the bell pepper was unripe. On top of that, the staff was very unorganized, with multiple tables being served wrong food and drinks and some tables not being served at all.

Incurante delle negative recensioni e affascinato dalla bella location ho deciso di fermarmi per pranzo insieme alla mia famiglia. Posso confermare che le recensioni negative sono immotivate, ovviamente se si pensa di venire in Portogallo a mangiare la pizza probabilmente si rimane delusi. Al contrario i secondi di carne (tra le specialità del menù) sono veramente molto gustosi...consiglio!

Precios caros, aprovechando el turismo. Te abren una botella de agua que tienen puesta en la mesa y te la sirven sin mediar palabra para después cobrártela. Pides una cerveza y te ponen 60cl. a un precio de 6 euros, sin avisar tampoco o dar opciones de formato y tamaño. Una pizza de unos 28cm.de diámetro sale en torno a 15 euros, no está mal de calidad. La ensalada pequeña mixta unos 6 euros. Al final, una ensalada pequeña, una pizza, la botella de agua y una cerveza 30 euros.

Attrape touriste, déco chic et personnel bien habillé mais ensuite c'est lamentable, le service est mauvais, la carte paraît alléchantes mais la salade césar est inconsistante, la pâte des pizzas est farineuse. Fui muito bem atendida. A pizza no forno elétrico estava muito boa. Pena não ser forno a lenha. Massa fina, ingredientes de qualidade. O Jhonathan me deu excelentes recomendações de vinho e me ajudou a encontrar o Uber. Voltei no dia seguinte para almoçar. Pedi pato, estava excelente. O prato tem uma linda apresentação.

Bread and butter were very good and worth the money. But that was it. This place charges more than any other restaurant I’ve been to in Portugal for a small still water. The Paço Real pizza is okay- the prosciutto was amazing, but the cheese was old tasting and very greasy (not fresh mozzarella as described). Too much oregano, that was all you could taste. Also, I would suggest a squeeze of lemon or light vinaigrette on the arugula- some acidity would help balance out flavours. A few bites of the crepe were burnt tasting (I think it might have been the chocolate that was burnt, not the actual crepe) and whipped cream was weirdly fizzy. Fresh strawberries on top were delicious. Service was good; quick and friendly. Overall, a below average meal at too high a price. You can easily find better places in Sintra.

Very poor, steaks were both overcooked and cold - asked for rare, got cold and well done. Asked for French fries, got cold potato 'chips' - asked three waiters for the correct order - they all said they'd sort it out then just disappeared. Not good - they deal with tourists and the lack of any care shows. Won't be back - even if we're in Sintra again. Very expensive too, for what little you get.

Terrible food and expensive drinks, but nice atmosphere with a great view. The food was tasteless. The sardines lacked flavor and were cold, the pizza tasted like cardboard, the pasta had no spices, and potatoes were undercooked. Would not recommend this to anyone. Classic tourist trap restaurant.

Nos invitan a entrar y no tiene mesa libre. Esperamos y nos sientan. Nos traen unos "entrantes" sin pedirlos: queso, pan, aceitunas y 4 panes. En la cuenta vemos que son 16 euros sin dar opción a elegir.
El risotto normalito. Nos dijeron que había menú pero no lo había. El carpaccio lo trajeron sin parmesano..
Vamos, para turistas. Caro y normalito tirando a malo. Un sacaperras de escándalo. Nada recomendable.

We dined at P. R. At 7pm tonight May 10 2018. We ordered seafood pot and steak. And olive bread and cheese. Food came really decent time frame.
The waiter who is from St. Tomas is very polite and well communicate with us. He changed the plate a few times.

Overpriced. Relies only on tourists. Incredibly slow service for the amount of waiters. And terrible coffee. Word of advice, find someplace else to catch a break from the beautiful scenery.

Very expensive, slow service, only a couple of waiters for about twenty outside tables.
Half way though my $75.00 Candian lunch I knew I was in trouble!!! Never mind the bad coffee, about an hour later I had the worst food poisoning...vomiting up whatever they served me. I was sick for a day and half, the Cod fish, fry’s and egg dish wasn’t what I expected. Never again is wright!

Konum manzara ve mekan güzel. Garsonlar biraz suratsız. Fiyatlar biraz daha pahalı Lizbona göre (sadece burada yedim civarındakileri bilmiyorum). Yemekler çok lezzetli vazgeçilmez değil. Bence fiyatını haketmiyor.

Expensive, many very slow waiters (with only two out of twenty tables in use), bad coffee, and you don't get what you order. Menu says brownie with vanilla ice cream. You get strawberry ice cream without any explanation ... no further comment needed. Never again

Excellent place. I am really surprised by some evaluations which quite not reflect the quality of the place. The food tastes really good, with fresh ingredients and elaborated recipes. The service is flawless. Of course, as it is a bit high end, the prices are slightly higher than other places nearby, but definitely worth it.

Food was not very good, served almost cold and quite expensive. The octopus was stiff with difficult to chew vegetable. The vegetables cream was good. The pizza just ok. The waiter was nice and she spoke several languages (at least Spanish, French and English). The desserts are really expensive (more than 6€ each) and the coffee after lunch really expensive (7€ for two coffees short on milk! In Portugal!). I wouldn't recommend the place.

Un 2,1 no refleja suficientemente el mal servicio que es este local. Como bien dicen (Me gustaría haberlo leído antes) una trampa para turistas. 8,60€ por una copa de vino de la casa (bastante malo) y una cocacola. El servicio, pésimo y maleducado, tardaron en servirnos 15 minutos, tiempo en el que otros clientes no atendidos se marcharon...¡ojalá hubiéramos sido ellos!

Food: Pastas were great! Pizzas weren't bad but nothing to brag about. The steak wasn't bad either!
Location: Conveniently located right across from the Sintra National Palace. Great spot to grab a bite before you hop onto a bus / tuk tuk / taxi to check out any of the palaces nearby.

Les tarifs très élevés (3€40 une canette de soda) seul l'emplacement est correct.

Je n'ai jamais vu un service aussi désagréable, je viens de finir ma pizza, très bof, et j'attends toujours le premier mot des 2 serveuses, ainsi qu'un sourir ou une expression autre que l'ennui et la lassitude. Des mouches partout..A éviter et de loin!

Les plats typiques portugais sont completement ratés et c est très cher pour un pays comme le portugal. En revanche le lieu est très sympa pour un café. Il n y a pas de pâtisserie locale de sintra.
