Ist der gleiche Ort wie Pousada Castelo Alcácer do Sal. War früher mal die Pousada Dom Alfonso II oder auch das Hotel Dom Alfonso II genannt. Ändert aber nichts an der Lage, dem Komfort und dem Service in dieser auf einem Berg gelegenen Pousada. Ein sehr schöner Zwischenstopp von und nach Lissabon. Und die Reisfelder .... Macht Euch selber ein Bild davon...

Pousada Dom Alfonso II was amazing! The staff was superb, the grounds fantastic, and the experience perfect. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a night or two in a castle!

Pousada muito agradável integrada nas muralhas do castelo. Belas vistas sobre o rio Sado e os arrozais. Perto do centro e dos restaurantes. Recomendo para umas férias calmas. As belas praias da Comporta e do Carvalhal ficam a cerca de 30 km.

Nice friendly reception, large, light, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Food: dinner and buffet breakfast nicely presented. Staff attentive, helpful but not intrusive and all English speaking. The hotel has a nice historic ambience with antique artifacts located throughout. When reconstructed in the 1990's it was built retaining parts of the convent and houses it's own church. It has lots of nooks and crannies at different levels each with a different view of the castle walls. A visit to the archaeological crypt/museum located beneath the hotel at a cost of 1.50 euros is a must. The only downside is the exterior of the building which is seriously in need of refurbishment in the way of a fresh coat of paint. A great place to visit located on top of a hill with views of the town, river and countryside.
