Very good spanish food, an amazing cook in the kitchen! And really nice place to be. We had sitting on the stairs. Had Tapas for dinner. Very great dinner! Very good service.

This is a loveley place to stay for the evening. The ambience and decoration is great, the wait staff is excellent if you like your waiter to be a bit more talkative. But the main course food items could use some polish. The presentation although is definetly 10/10!

Endroit sympa pour manger des tapas. Dans une rue calme. Le rapport qualite prix est correct même si on peut trouver moins cher facilement mais le cadre est agréable. Côté service, impeccable. Personnel sympa. Certains parlent français.

Incredible experience, the food !!! The location and the service. Everything was amazing. The sangria is the best I had, even the coffee was flavorful. We had red sangria, gazpacho Andaluz, wild mushroom braz these 2 were inclredible. Both hit the sweet, the savoury spots nicely. spicy and salty padron peppers, and delicious bread with truffle butter - not truffle oil a well balanced truffle chunks butter - and a little cheesy not dry at all. The port wine sponge cake was excellent.

We orderd Paella and it was really good! The location is really quiet and calm esp sitting on the stairs ! The paella is not that big in size for 2 people but the quality is top notch! Marko was our server and we had the best dinning experience because of that! :)

Paseando por la ribeira descubrí este sitio y me picó la curiosidad. Dueño portugués con mujer española, buena calidad y buena presentación de los platos. Si quieres tomar algo tienen unas pequeñas cajas de madera en las escaleras del paseo de fuera en plan desenfadado.

Zunächst dies: Jeden Stern wert. Egal ob Tapas oder Hauptgericht. Hier wird mit viel Kreativität und exzellenten Materialen ein geschmacklich in jeder Hinsicht überzeugendes Essen geboten. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, auch wenn es etwas turbulenter zugeht. Wichtig: Nehmt Euch Zeit zum Genießen. Wer nur schnell ein paar Tapas möchte, ist hier eher nicht richtig. Und - kein Bashing - auch der (oder die) die sich darüber aufregt, dass ein Butter / Brotgedeck (Trüffelbutter, 2 Sorten Brot, ja nur 6 Scheiben...) 2 bis 3 € kostet, wird hier vielleicht nicht „happy“. Wir waren nun aber zweimal hier und alleine die Atmosphäre draußen ist so, wie man sich einen entspannten Urlaubsabend vorstellt. Also, für alle die entspannte Genussmomente suchen: Hier seid ihr richtig.

We were super lucky to stumble upon this place and I'm very glad we did! We had an excellent wine recommendation and some refreshing honesty on how many tapas we really needed to order! The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was excellent. Highly recommended if you are in Lisbon and looking for a relaxed yet special dinner.

Clearly one of the best restaurants I have been to in my life, and definitely THE best one I have been to in Lisbon. I found this gem by chance as I wandered around the neighborhood.
The food, the wine (Torero) and the team were simply stellar, we HAD to go to this place 2 times within our 4 day trip!
Highlights of our dinnerS were the gazpacho, the octopus, the iberico toasts, the truffle eggs with potatoes.
Food is easy to share, even if it’s quite hard to (because why would you share it when it’s soo good!)

Was planing to go to Solar dos Presuntos last night for paella, but with a young toddler, and they only reopen around 7, had to change the plan. Searched around and found Meson Andaluz. Took a taxi to go there. The staff were friendly but the food was unbelievably bad, the worse paella I’ve ever had. And guess what, the most expensive meal we paid since we’ve been to Lisbon, even more than Ramiro!!!! (Didn’t order wine); soooo bad and not much seafood but full of chicken! The most importantly tasted really funny!!!!

A small restaurant with its own unique charm and atmosphere. The menu wasn't too big but offered a mix of meat and fish with salad options all at a reasonable price. The wine list was quiet extensive. The food was of good quality with great flavour. I would recommend.

The Paella dish they serve is mostly pork. When i asked for all seafood and no pork the waiter got real snappy and bent out of shape, i left and went to peixaria rossio. They had better service.

A lovely spot for the evening. Great menu of traditional Spanish tapas and wines, with seating indoors, outdoors on tables and even the steps if it's really busy. Excellent waiters who match food with wine choices... There's even one from Halifax, Yorkshire, who really knows his wines!

We were in Lisbon for 3 nights and ended up eating here twice. The Paella is so tasty and their tapas is amazing! Also make sure you have the sangria, it's beautiful! Definitely recommend.

Set in a cute little street with outside tables. Food was really good ! Portuguese food with a twist. I liked everything I had ! Thanks Miguel for all the stories about food , really enjoyed having that chat.

Had to knock one star off because we had a long delay for our table but overall the food and experience was really very good. High quality food with the presentation being great. Nicest meal out over a 3 night stay. If you like a hot brandy you should have one as it is rather entertaining.

Beautiful terrace, very quiet. The staff is very nice. We were served by Miguel who explained us the story of the meals we ordered, very friendly. A bit pricey for Lisbon but good quality food with creativity. I do recommend this place

Очень вкусно! Официанты очень приветливые и с готовностью помогают с выбором. Пока мы ждали основное блюдо - мясо буйвола и нога ягненка, нам посоветовали перекусить креветками в чесночном соусе - это было нечто ) плюс 3 вида хлеба с очень вкусным маслом (с какими-то добавками). Официант охотно рассказал про вина и помог с выбором - остались довольны. Про мясо - такого вкусного мяса еще не ели)) В общем, очень вкусно и приятно поужинали! С удовольствием вернемся сюда еще раз!

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit spanischer Speisekarte, das es so in Lissabon keinesfalls nochmal gibt. Ausgesprochen freundliche und kompetente Mitarbeiter, auf deren Empfehlungen man guten Gewissens hören kann. Das Essen ist ganz wunderbar, ohne Schnick-Schnack aber trotzdem mit Pfiff und Raffinesse. Geschmacklich steht immer das Produkt selbst im Vordergrund, Gewürze und Zubereitung stellen eine erstklassige Ergänzung dar. Jeder, der Tapas und traditionelle spanische Küche liebt, bodenständig und nicht abgehoben essen möchte, so wie bei Mama, aber auch auf Exklusivität und Qualität der Produkte nicht verzichten möchte, der ist hier genau richtig. Meine Empfehlung: Fabada Asturiana mit Zitronenbrot! Vielen Dank!

Place where we ate the best dishes during our 7 days stay at Lisbon. Very fine basics enhanced by very good choice of herbs.
I could definitely recommend this place to any visitor in Lisbon.

Хороший ресторан.Уютно.Очень вкусная паэлья.Мне не показалось,что порции малы.Вдвоем мы еле осилили сковородку.Замечательная Горячая закуска из козьего сыра с мёдом и орешками.Красное вино выше всяких похвал,жаль,что не запомнила название...Посидели часа 2-совершенно отдохнули от долгой прогулки...Рекомендую...

Wir waren zu 2. und bestellten Tapas der Karte.
Unter anderem 1 x das Couvert (Brot und Knoblauchbutter). Es wurden uns 4-5 sehr kleine Scheiben Brot und 2 Mini Portionen Butter gebracht für welche uns das couvert am Ende doppelt (~14€) berechnet wurde. Auf Nachfrage hieß es weil wir zu 2. waren wurde uns automatisch die ‚doppelte‘ Menge gebracht. Die Bedienungen waren zum Teil allgemein zuvor schon sehr lustlos und unfreundlich.
Das Essen sonst war von der Qualität gut von der Menge aber sehr wenig und preislich sehr teuer.
Im Vergleich zu 3 anderen tapas Bars hatten wir hier die kleinsten Portionen zahlten jedoch mit Abstand am meisten und das obwohl es im Endeffekt nicht besser schmeckte.

Accueil très sympa et l'endroit entre deux volées d'escaliers au calme et à l'ombre dans l'après midi nous ont permis de nous rafraichir en terrasse. Attention le café frappé à Lisbonne à une drôle de définition, un petit café avec un glaçon dedans et c'est tout, c'est peut-être ça le vrai café frappé, mais on ne s'y attendait pas.

Awesome restaurant in a unique location! The food & drinks were delicious, especially the white sangria and the prawns. The portions are small (tapas) and thus the tapas are a little expensive. Yet, with regard to the quality & taste of the food and the great service we highly recommend this place!

Um jantar muuuito bem servido, pedimos Paella e sendo um restaurante espanhol comemos a verdadeira Paella que é ótima, pedimos também um bolinho chamado rabo de touro que é uma maravilha, é de carne de boi, vale muito a pena experimentar... Tomamos sangria, e chopp, comemos de entrada pães que vem sortidos, muito deliciosos. E o garçom era baiano que foi um toque extra para nós, muito educado, atencioso e nos tratou com muito carinho. Vale muito a pena conhecer a comida do lugar, muito aconchegante e tem aquecedor em lâmpada, super de parabéns. Atendimento e local ótimo!

Buen lugar para pisotear y degustar productos de calidad, la innovación de la cocina sorprende. La verdad es que aunque no es mucha cantidad, tampoco le hace falta ya que la explosión de sabor ni defrauda.
No es un sitio barato si lo que buscas es cantidad pero hay calidad, presentación y buena atención. La cocina es más de diseño y eso lleva su trabajo por lo tanto se paga. Lo único que me defraudo , fueron las gambas al ajillo. Congeladas y no eran gambas de calidad. Una pena.

Very nice restaurant, visited already before and now, couple of years later, I can say it keeps an excellent quality. Good food, good presentation and excellent staff. Very authentic Spanish food with some twists. Despite it's location, it's not just a tourist catcher. Fair price for what's servers and how it's served.

料理は美味しいし、ホスピタリティも店内の雰囲気も良い。ぜひまた行きたいなと思う。
前菜はどれも手が込んでいて、メニュー名からは想像もつかない感じで楽しかった。子豚のローストとラムチョップはどちらも美味しかったが、このお店ならではという意味では子豚がおすすめ。
ラムチョップの方はシェアするつもりで注文したところ、綺麗に2皿に分けて出してくれたりと気が利いている。
今回は当日決まって予約なしで行って、次の人が来るまでに出てもらえるなら〜ということで入れた。店内が素敵なので、どうせなら予約がおすすめ。

I never leave reviews because well.... I’m just super lazy... But this place is outstandingly amazing!! I got the €40 tasting, and I’m telling you... every bite is better than the last. All vegetarian options too! The wine selection is insane, and the service is 5 star!! I’m about to split my pants, and I can’t stop eating. I might die, so if it’s the last thing I do, I’m leaving this review so the next person sees it and says... we have to go here!

Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit im Meson Andaluz. Wir wurden sehr gut bedient und das Essen war köstlich. Wir hatten eine Tapas Auswahl, der zweifache Thunfisch war Mega gut und ist zu empfehlen. Die Weine waren auch sehr gut ausgewählt!
Zum Abschluss empfehle ich einen Brandy, alleine wegen der Show!!!

A wonderful, friendly place with great food! We had fantastic tapas and wonderful sangria. We really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered - patatas brava, scallops, goat cheese & honey, and the fried egg and potatoes. You can eat outside or inside in a restored 17th century building.

Oh, my! What a great restaurant. We stumbled upon this gem by accident and I am so glad we did. I have not had such great food in a very long time along with amazing service. Our server was neither too intrusive nor annoying but very friendly and and awesome. He managed to show up always right when we needed him and they even went out of their way to loosen the rest of the meat from the bone for me. I was very delighted and can only highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

We visited this lovely restaurant at around 10pm on a Saturday and were lucky enough to have a table opposite the kitchen. Can't recommend it highly enough, delicious food and wine, very helpful and friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. We had 8 tapas between 4 which was a good amount, would suggest diners definitely have the scallops and guacamole prawns. Homemade breads with truffle butter to start were excellent too, fabulous meal we all fully enjoyed!

Meson aldaluz es un restaurante al que imita comida andaluza, digo imita porque en el menú tiene comida andaluza como enganchada con portuguesa con detalles que no lleva la comida típica. He pedido puntillitas y gambas al ajillo (gambas pil pil). La verdad es que ninguna de las dos me recordó a Andalucía. Las puntillitas se notaban que estaban demasiado fritas y en un aceite muy reutilizado, no sabía ni al producto, luego las gambas estaban demasiado picantes y saladas y la forma que estaban hechas no es la típica de Andalucía, los ajos y la guindilla triturados, en vez de la guindilla entera y los ajos en laminas. Y por el precio ni hablar para dos "tapas" como decía el menú. La verdad descepcionante. Lo único bueno que puedo decir que el trato al cliente fue más que excelente. Estuvieron atentos y amable. Sin problema de explicar la carta entera. También puedo decir que las gambas sabían a frescas. Para mí la comida andaluza es una de las más ricas si se cocina típicamente por eso no voy a puntuar bajo porque quiero que más de estos sitios se abran en el mundo.

What might have been a pleasant drink and tapas was marred when I saw the bill. We have been drawn in by the offer of beer and tapas at €2.90. I order the beer and padron peppers and my partner another drink. The bill charged €2.90 for the beer, €6.90 for the peppers. By comparison a bar down the road charged €2.50 for padron peppers. When I asked what the tapas was in the offer they pointed to some potatoes on the bar. Notably we had not been offered these with the beer perhaps not wishing to alert us before the bill arrived. If however you go to this place with your eyes open and can afford the prices, you will enjoy it.

Amazing tapas and such a good atmosphere outside. If you call to reserve a table- make sure to ask for one outside as it's a very popular restaurant, especially on the weekends. If you walk by, they may seat you on the cozy stairs for a drink while waiting for a table to open up. Be sure to try the gambas!! The atmosphere just gets better as the sun goes down. Marco took very good care of us throughout the night. The other staff were also very nice.

Was supposedly highly rated. Am wondering why. We shared the paella, it was possibly the worst paella I have ever experienced. It had unidentified bird parts that were not listed on the menu, the meats and shrimp were not fresh, and the entirety was drowning in oil. It was as if the restaurant took bits of leftovers, and a very few mussels, and overcooked or recooked them together.
Also, we had reservations but they didn't have any tables outside. Apparently they give the nice outdoor seats to walk ups.
The waiter was attentive and helpful. But we will not return.

This is a awesome place..! The people are very friendly and know there products very well. We looked down this street/ stairs and saw all this tables for 2 or 4 and ware attracted straight away!
Between the tables you can sit on the stairs and wait for a table to be free and have a drink or just eat on the stairs for witch the have special made little tables.
The kitchen is Mediterranean with the accent on awesome tapas.. combined with some excellent wines. The Choice off wines by the glass is limited but well chosen and diverse so you won’t miss anything.. Five stars plus!

Amazing tapas, great location in a small alley and very friendly and attentive service - the best meal so far in Lisbon. We ordered the squid, tuna two ways (aka blackened tuna), stuffed zucchini w pork, shrimp and a few other small things for lunch. Food came out fast (aka 15min which is fast compared to other places we had food) and it was a delight. Recommended and will visit again.

Four stars for food and drinks. One day before i was with my 5x friends only for drinks. Service was rather ignoring and unmotivated. Gave a second chance tonight with my girlfriend as the ambiente is very nice.

Sat down to have a beer since no bartenders were attending tables outside on the patio, 2 tables taken 4-5 open we pick a two person table sit down and after a while comes the bartender. Sees something on the table flicks it and smears it all over the table top, comes back wipes it down and then begging to lecture me and my wife on where we are from since we don’t ask where to sit, how he worked all over Europe and nowhere do people come and just sit without asking the bartender even if he is inside, how his tables could be reserved and we just sit down. The ego trip went on for about 5 minutes and I finally had enough so I explained we too have traveled the world and have yet to come across an ignorant egomaniac simpleton such as him. This was at 1pm in the afternoon with 2 tables occupied out of total 7-8 tables outside. At any rate I sat down to have a drink they were not busy not even close to it so taking a table was the crime of the day my wife and I committed, clearly patronage is not of upmost concern since staff idealized such behavior. I too have just came here from Barcelona and have yet to come across an idiot not tending to tables or customers on the outside patio then showing up to lecture them for sitting down. I find this type of behavior extremely disgusting and I don’t believe it deserves the business from people wanting a drink and a meal rather than having their day ruined by a loudmouth idiot.

Heerlijke tapas gegeten, maar ook de maaltijden zagen er goed uit. Onze bediening was erg vriendelijk en joviaal en gaf ons een uitgebreide omschrijving van de verschillende tapas. Eten was erg goed van smaak, en zou het dan ook aanraden om hier zeker eens naartoe te gaan. Binnen was het wel druk en tafel staan wat dicht op elkaar en kan dus was luidruchtig zijn. Verder top.

Had dinner there tonight. Frankly we were disappointed, especially given the high price point. Ordered patatas bravas and had FIVE pieces of potato (come on. This is the cheapest ingredient out there! Ever.). Taste was ok. Peppers were good, and the octopus was very good because the olive oil used is of good quality.
As a main dish we had the paella for 2. While there was enough seafood, it was overly salty and the rice was burnt and almost 'crunchy'. Too dry.
I was looking forward to that dish and for 42E it was a stinging disappointment. The waiters are nice but overworked which means service is too slow. All and all, this place is nothing special. Go elsewhere for the money you will end up spending here. Not worth it.

The food here was very good, though the portions were small. Ordered fois gras, delicious though maybe a little too sweet. Mini squid, good and crunchy, good standard. Seared scallops cooked beautifully and fresh. Goats cheese parcels, nice but not exceptional better if it wasn't for the parcel wrapping. Only thing preventing 5* was the service. Only one lady serving and taking drinks, bless her for working hard. More staff later joined which where not as hard working. Worth the visit but be prepared for a slow long lunch.

Zdwcydowanie ulubione na mapie Lizbony! Fantastyczne miejsce, znalezione zupełnie przypadkiem dwa i pół roku temu. Wtedy kelner zaproponował nam zamiast normalnych dań zestaw tapas i był to strzał w dziesiątkę! W zeszłym tygodniu znów byliśmy w Lizbonie i już od ponad miesiąca myślałam tylko o tym, żeby znów odwiedzić Meson Andaluz :) ponownie wybraliśmy tapasy i ponownie się nie zawiedliśmy! Tylko tam dostaniecie fantastycznie podane patatas bravas, ośmiornica też klasa! I klimat kolacji na schodach... polecam.

The tasting menu is a steal! €28 per person and you get 2 starters, 2 mains and a desert each! The portions are smaller but enough to fill you up! Also, the ceviche and fig and duck salad were both really tasty. Good sangria too. Female waitress a bit impatient (probably cos we're tourists) but others really friendly. Highly recommended.

Geweldig restaurant met zeer sfeervol terras. Leuke en vriendelijke bediening, hoewel niet altijd even scherp. Het eten is, hoewel vaak wel iets aan de zoute kant, absoluut geweldig. Ook de (zeer uitgebreide) wijnselectie is erg goed. Hoewel je goedkoper kunt eten in Lissabon is de prijs-/kwaliteitverhouding uitstekend. Aanrader!

A ocasião romântica pedia um restaurante mais especial e não desiludiu. Apesar de termos pedido apenas as tapas (5) chegaram bem para 2 pessoas.
O serviço foi excelente e mesmo com o restaurante cheio foi bastante eficiente.
Será um local a voltar a visitar certamente! Convém reservar antecipadamente.

Did not live up to the hype. Had couple of tapas dishes but didn't blow me away and was relatively expensive. The fois gras scallops I had was probably the best, but still not superb as I would get in a Spanish tapas restaurant. The location is quite original and unusual, on the steps between two streets. And, the toilets, really original way of distinguishing men and women !

Não posso deixar de não publicar esta experiência, num jantar onde o inesperado regou a noite de boa disposição.
Há cerca de 2 semanas fui jantar com amigos à Meson Andaluz, jantar esse que nos permitiu alguma interacção com os garçons, que só tiveram para connosco, atenção, simpatia, sorrisos e entretenimento.
A disponibilidade foi tão genuína, que tenho que deixar aqui os meus Parabéns a Equipe são pessoas assim que nos fazem voltar ;)

Walked in during a weekend with friends, had some vinho verde and a variety of dishes at the bar as snacks. Best food the whole weekend hands down!

Tapas cheias de imaginação e sabor, sangria deliciosa, aliás tudo é excelente. atendimento um pouco demorado mas muito amável,. será sempre melhor ir de transportes públicos pois é difícil estacionar por perto aos F. de semana. Aconselho sem sombra de duvida. (não é propriamente barato!) Por lapso ficaram no comentário inicial 4 estrelas quando a intenção de classificação era de 5. estrelas. corrigido.

Délicieux!
Trouvé au détour d'une balade, on était très sceptique au début sur le fait de "manger des tapas au Portugal..." Mais quel régal!
Ce sont des tapas gourmet:
Saint Jacques à la creme de chou-fleur, oeufs au jambon et à la truffe, thon en tataki, oeufs aux asperges et au serrano
L'endroit: la terrasse charmante entre deux ruelles lisboete, l'intérieur très chic mais détendu
Pas d'hésitation, ils aiment ce qu'ils font pour le faire aussi bien. Une vraie découverte

We wandered in on a Saturday at 9 pm before catching some fado. Got the last table before it got busy. The pork cheeks were amazing. The waiter was both knowledgeable and friendly. After two weeks in Portugal I would say this is the best meal I have had. I would definitely come back next time around. Try the tuna two ways if you come too.

The service was very slow, took at least 20 minutes for the waitress to ask us for drinks after being seated. They forgot our last tapas, forgot the water bottle we asked and finally charged us for the bread which the waitress told us that it was free. We found it also overprice; 10.50€ for only 6 little prawns in garlic sauce, much more expensive than what we ate all week in Lisboa. The tuna (two textures) tapas was excellent tho.

We ordered the oxtail and the pork cheeks and both were excellent - super tasty and tender meats. The pumpkin purée that went with the oxtail was just ok, but the celery and apple purer that went with the pork paired great.

Highlight of our trip, they were very accommodating even though we hadn't reserved, sweet and atmospheric location, all the waiters well good-humoured and attentive, and divine food.

Rui.. The best waiter I've ever had. Dinner, laughs, good wine, life advice. All you need in one night is provided at Meson Andaluz! Will definitely return for such good food and service.

We just had a fantastic gastronomic evening.
We were served by Paolo who had a great understanding for food and service.
I'll say it is one of the most value for money ever, we were ending a long conference day by this extraordinary experience.
We had the best Pata Negra EVER and the best entrecote EVER.
The owner was also a great food lover who had a big heart with a warm and nice attitude.
My absolute best recommondations it is simply a must if you go to Lisabon!

Restaurante muito bonito e acolhedor sem duvida;
Fui la jantar com um grupo de amigos..decidimos após vermos o menu pedir tapas para irmos comendo...cada um pediria 1 tapa e como éramos ate muitos pensamos que ficaríamos satisfeitos...pois as tapas vêm muito mal servidas, como exemplo posso dar-vos os camarões al guilho onde num mini-piris vieram 5 miolos de camarão...pelo qual pagamos +/-10euros...se regressaria sem duvida pelo espaço e pela localização...porem como se trata de aliar a comida aos momentos...nem pensar... saímos de lá prontos para ir comer a roulotte mais próxima...e por pessoa pagamos +/-25 euros;

Espaço simpático e bem conseguido mas com serviço ás mesas efectuado por dois únicos elementos, demasiado lento e bastante aquém do desejável
Repasto sem laivos de excelência. Vinho branco e tinto de qualidade, couvert de manteigas medianas. Ovos rotos, estrelados em mistura com batata frita, sem história. Lulinhas fritas, estaladiças acompanhadas por uma molho insípido. O presunto,saboroso e rasoável quanto baste, apareceu só após o prato de paelha, que se apresentou morna com demasiado tempo de fogão e com os ingredientes a demonstrarem demasiada congelação.
No computo geral e infelizmente, qualidade muito aquém dos velhos tempos da Parede e do 1º no Cascais Shopping.
Relação qualidade/preço indesejável
Enfim.. para esquecer.
