Super food, super service ! Don't trust the commentaries, it's a good place for tourist. Maybe it's not the same boss. The fish was great and cheaper ! Good deal for a lunch in Lisbon.

Nous n avions pas lu les commentaires avant d y manger. Pas mauvais mais bcp bcp d huile et peu de saveur (pas de gout)... Pour le prix ! Serveur agreable et parlant plusieurs langues, endroit calme et sympathique. Devraient modifier un ou deux details et pourrait etre meilleur !

Pas très commercial. Le patron à demander à la fin du repas à régler en liquide. À éviter.

Péssimo atendimento, tudo à base de congelados e GORDURA (excesso dela até). Cobram extras que nunca se comeram, convidam-nos a entrar para experimentar um maravilhoso DESASTRE. Este espaço que nem de restaurante pode ser chamado é um atentado à saúde pública. Uma tacinha de sobremesa com arroz cobraram-nos 5€. Referi ainda ao gerente que não somos turistas, mas ele ignorou. Espaço VAZIO, parecia mais uma morgue. Um ice tea, servido a copo, mas vindo do balcão já servido, para não falar que era de garrafa de 1,5L de ice tea da MAKRO. Nada mais, nada menos do que NÃO RECOMENDÁVEL.

Horrible food, sub par Fado. Gives testament to the rule of not going into restaurants where they have a doorman asking you to come and eat.

Excellent Fado. Food was terrible. Cod was like rubber, steak was difficult to chew and sardines so salty almost unable to eat. 2 half L bottles of water were 10€. Very expensive for terrible food and there is a requirement to spend 15€ per person to stay. Can’t reccomend this place.

Very rare i ate that bad. The people were not friendly at all and i found many small hair in my meal. That was so disgusting, i couldn’t finish eating. There was a live fado music, it was a bit too loud and while they where singing it was not aloud to eat. The atmosphere wasnt good. For the price the meal is quite small.... the whole family was still hungry afterwards. (And we are not big eaters) There are many better restaurants in Lissabon.

Très belle salle avec déco atypique, un peu baroque. Du fado par différents groupes qui se succèdent. Jeunes serveurs très sympas. Par contre un patron débordé mais qui cherche vraiment à faire le plein de la salle, un service extrêmement long, et un plat immangeable : j'avais choisi la fameuse saucisse portugaise grillée, elle m'a été servie surcuite, dure au point de ne pas arriver à la couper. Prix élevés.

9,50€ for 0,5L beer we left before we ordered, don’t know how the food is, but we weren’t interested at all

Ik nam de inktvis (15 €), mijn vriend de steak (15 €). Beide waren lekker, maar mijn bord was mooier afgewerkt, peterselie, gestoomde broccoli. We namen de huiswijn (wit). We dronken al beter, ook al slechter, maar voor 15 euro best ok. We zaten op het terras, mooi zicht... prijs kwaliteit ok!

Rien à dire ! Parfait...cadre chaleureux, calme et feutrée au moment de l'interprétation du fado...et de qualité ! Je suis venue 2 fois sur mon séjour de 5 jours...copieux....frais...baccalau a braz.. comme le poulpe....délicieux ! Très surprise de voir des notes médiocres !

Accueil chaleureux...rapport qualité prix imbattable sur Lisbonne....je conseille le menu TTC à 25 euros fado inclus et conso idem.....3 eme visite dans ce restaurant

Such a pity I can't put zero stars, because this was the worst experience ever! Waiter (bold with a beard) was EXTREMELY rude, food and drinks very overpriced, small portions and not tasty at all. When we wanted to pay, the waiter told us that the card terminal is not working, not even apologize, and we said that we're sorry but we don't have cash (we were told it's possible to pay by card) and he said that it's our problem and we're the only ones making problem and we HAVE TO go to nearest ATM. Then we wanted to go to ATM (which costs like 5€ for withdrawal) and he said that one of us HAVE TO stay there! Seriously, never experienced such an altitude! Definitely don't recommend this place!

Service très convivial. Ce ne sont pas des plats de grande gastronomie qui y sont servis mais la cuisine est tout de même très bonne. Vous pourrez y découvrir des plats régionaux à base de bacalheu ^^ Prix pas exorbitants

Das Lokal ist nett eingerichtet und der Fado war ganz in Ordnung. Ebenso der Service. Das Essen war keine kulinarische Bereicherung. Der Beilagensalat kam völlig ohne Dressing, Salz und Pfeffer haben ebenso gefehlt. Der Kabeljau inkl. Kartoffeln schwamm im Öl, war aber zumindest nicht tot gekocht. Fazit: Kann man haben, muss man aber nicht. Der Preis für das Essen ist in Ordnung, der Wein ist viel zu teuer.

Orrible food staff very unpleasant the worst experience ever... Music no comment in line with the rest don't eat here. Dear owner We had 2 steaks with vegetables : the meat had no meat taste, it was hard to chew full of garlic and very fat. 3 little boilled broccoli tasteless. No sides choice. The waitress had a unkind manner, we started by ordering wine and he pointed out we had to spend at least 15euro each which we knew we were just trying to decide what to order and wanted wine to start with... It was very rude.

DO NOT GO! Service and food is really poor in this restaurant. The location would be beautiful and the local people singing Fado is amazing! Service workers couldn’t speak portuguese (we are in Portugal..) and hardly spoke english. They let us know that the card machine doesn’t work in the end of our dinner and we had to go to get cash 5mins far. I honestly think the only positive points about this restaurant is the location, the music and the dessert :) Not coming back here!

Great food and location we had a delicious lunch, grilled sardines and Portuguese style octopus in a lovely quiet square in front of a beautiful church. When we wanted to write a review we were appalled when we saw that this restaurant has just two stars. With all the tourist traps in alfama this is really a recommended choice.

I’m not sure why this place has so many bad reviews... The food was excellent, and service too. Price is in line with all other restaurants in the area.

PLEASE DON'T GO THERE! It's one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to, extremely overpriced, poor food quality, tourist trap. I paid €9,50 for 0,5 liter beer! Chourico was server with cheapest fries from the supermarket.

Worst experience in Lisbon. Tourist trap. Stay away !! 12,50 € for a beer. We waited 50 min and left before the food arrived.

The Staff were rude, the beer cost €7,50 for a 0,3L. It took almost an hour before the food was ready. Construction work outside started just after we sat down, so they closed the doors and shut us out along with the noise, and shushed us if we mode requests. We left before we were even served the food, and paid a total of 30€ for the beers.

Si seulement j'avais lu les avis avant ! Vraiment exécrable ! J'ai pris un riz aux fruits mer et j'ai eu une soupe de riz au sel et au surimi, et en plus pas bonne... Les autres plats n'étaient pas mieux... Plus jamais !

La peor experiencia en la ciudad. Reservamos en otro restaurante cercano y cuando fuimos no habían tenido en cuenta la reserva y nos llevaron a este restaurante también llamado -como el otro - Sao Miguel. Servicio correcto, cena con platos escasos y mal cocinados. Sin información previa nos ofrecieron un licor de cerezas (1€ en los alrededores) y nos cobraron 7,5€ por cada copa. Hicieron igual con el buffet de postres: coman o no todos los comensales te cobran a 7,5 € por persona. La botella de vino a 25€ y te sirven una jarra. Son precios elevadísimos para la ciudad y te intentan ofrecer y poner extras por todos los lados. El espectáculo de fado comenzó con una falta de respeto a los españoles a los que denominaban ruidosos sin motivo y basado en experiencias anteriores. Todo fue un desastre y pagamos casi 40 € por persona y la sensación de haber sido estafados. No lo recomiendo.

Такого с нами давно не было, худшая еда за последние несколько лет. Должно быть ужасно стыдно кормить таким людей при высокой стоимости блюд. Еда совершенно некачественная и невкусная и, похоже, готовят из замороженных продуктов. Я знаю, какими должны быть на вкус хорошие осьминоги и стейки, так вот в этом ресторане их есть нельзя, они похожи на подошву. Осьминог, стейк, сосиски и салат с курицей - всё на выброс. Ладно уж мясо, но подавать такого осьминога в морской стране - просто позор. Ко всему прочему курица в салате - полуфабрикат в панировке. На наши замечания, что такое есть нельзя, что это несъедобно, официант сказал, что женщина за соседнем столом ела и была довольна. Ну ок, можно и доширак есть и быть довольным, не спорю, но не за 100 же евро в счёте. Ужасный ресторан. Единственное, что можно было есть - это закуски за 3,5 евро с человека (оливки, слив.масло и что-то вроде рыбного паштета).

HORRIBLE, PASSEZ VOTRE CHEMIN. Le cadre est certes très joli, cependant les plats sont infects, jusqu'à l'accompagnement (salade sortie tout droit d'un sachet). Je ne peux pas donner d'avis sur le buffet de desserts puisque mon estomac n'aurait pas supporter la moindre bouchée. L'addition la plus chère de tout le séjour pour le repas le plus désastreux.

還不錯的法朵餐廳，尤其是其中有一位女性歌手，聲音渾厚非常動人。 不過店家的速度超級慢， 如果來這裡用餐，最好確認你有非常充裕的時間 。另外就是 用餐的環境並不是那麼理想，全部的人都擠在一起，沒有足夠的空間舒展， 這裡 是來感受法朵音樂的地方，並不是讓你舒舒服服用餐的地方！ 雖然說他的餐點並不差，但是座位安排的非常的擁擠。 最後還有一點要抱怨，當天我們用完餐，結帳居然等了30分鐘， 實在是太誇張了！

A éviter! La musique n’est pas mauvaise,mais la cuisine est exécrable. C’est un établissement à fuir, nous aurions dû lire les avis avant de rentrer dans ce restaurant. C’est une honte pour Lisbonne et les restaurants à Fado.

The absolute worst experience in Lisbon. Terrible service, rubbery overcooked shrimp and warm white wine. CAN NOT RECOMMEND.

comida mediana, ambiente para fado bastante acolhedor

Será porque somos de Bilbao y allí el bacalao lo ponemos de tres maneras pero buenas. Pero el que me han servido hoy como que no. Sin mucho sabor, totalmente bañado en aceite con lo que le quitaba todo el sabor al plato y encima muuuuuuuuy caro. Solo por el hecho de oír fado en directo me he quedado un poco más. Poco recomendable.

C'est une cantine............la saucisse portugaise est une barre de sel et les pomme de terre du surgelé non vraiment nous y avons très mal mangé .

Nice food, family atmosphere. The staffs are very friendly. You can enjoy fado performance while eating, the little square in the front is also very cute. Also, the price is quite fair, cause the fado restaurants nearby are usually very expensive. Highly recommend.

Family like atmosphere, little place with very good fish Dishes. Im coming from the Adriatic sea and can openly say that the prices are very attractive.

Food was okay, but not very warm. In the menu, the minimum price a person has to eat/ order is 15€ - doesnt help to make the restaurant more sympathetic. The staff was nice as was the fado, though you were not allowed to talk during the songs. The food was overpriced as was the wine. The so-called house wine, which was the cheapest, was 15 euro - we found the same wine one day later in the supermarket for 3 euro.

Muy desagradables, el sitio caro para lo que cenas. De repente apagan las luces y no puedes ni comer porque se ponen a cantar. Casi no habíamos terminado de cenar y nos estaban retirando los platos. No recomiendo ni aunque me paguen.

Tourist trap. Mau demais para ser verdade. O vinho branco (um Alorna a rondar os 15€) veio morno, o empregado nunca chegou a trazer a manga. Cobraram 7€de azeitonas que nunca comemos. O robalo grelhado parecia uma sardinha e veio acompanhado de alface e batata cozida (15€)

Seafood rice is okay, but Bacalhau with potato is deadly salty and bad. The waiter gave us wrong thing 1 mins after we ordered. Fado there is nice, the service is slow and poor, and there’s 15€ MINIMUM EXPENSE request on everyone........

I never experienced such an unfriendly staff in the entire world, unworthy of Portugal, lovely Lisbon and Alfama; I asked politely if we could just order a beer and were allowed to do so on their terrace (nobody was eating yet, it was well before the rush hour) and left after 15 min. We had to pay 15 euros for 2 medium beers which is a complete rip-off in that area. When I informed about the price they clearly stated that if you have a drink only you have to pay more.... Such a "restaurant" is a shame for Lisbon and a clear tourist trap, which was also acknowledged by a neighbouring restaurant where we had a lovely dinner. These places should not be allowed to spoil a city as beautiful as Lisbon!

Service was ok but 12.5 euros for a 500ml beer was a bit much. We got the bill and left without eating.

Le cadre sympathique ne vous fera pas oublier que vous avez très mal mangé et que c'était hors de prix. La chanteuse de Fado est impressionnante pendant ses 5 minutes de prestation. Je vous conseille fortement de passer votre chemin tant que le contenu des assiettes n'est pas à la hauteur des prix pratiqués.

*Steep prices. Bad food. Average service. Aggressive food poisoning.* I unfortunately visited this place on my first night in Lisbon after being told that most of the restaurants in the Alfama area are decent. I should have taken more note of the expression "most", as this restaurant was definitely in the minority. Being told that Portugal is relatively cheap, I was surprised that main courses were all around €15. Nonetheless, I ordered the pork ribs, with vegetables and potato chips, after being told by the waiter that this was a kind of typical Portuguese meal. When the meal arrived, I honestly thought that the waiter had accidentally brought me something from the children's menu. The meal was a couple of seedy looking chopped pork ribs, which had been dropped on a meek pile of potato wedges, with a few diced canned vegetables tossed in for some colour. In hindsight, after eating at a number of other establishments in Lisbon, I now understand how ripped off I was with this garbage. Nonetheless, my real experience with this establishment was yet to ensue. After returning home, and suffering a night of restless sleep due to the inability to digest the "food" I had consumed prior, I woke the next morning to something horrendous. Although I did not visit Lisbon to view any waterfalls, the cascade of indigested food and stomach acid that forcefully exploded from my mouth was definitely something to write home about. This also did not include the bonus brown rapids that flowed from my rear. In my 23 years of existence, never have I experienced food poisoning quite like that which was caused by the food from this restaurant. There are so many nice, well recommended restaurants in Lisbon, and it is truly a shame that this establishment is using up prime real estate. The €15 euro entry fee to the Lisbon waterfall was definitely overpriced and I would not recommend. Also, paying €3.5 pp for some stale bread and OK olives is a travesty. I'd rather be mugged.

Food tasted well, but live fado was a disappointment -- only 3 songs (9 min.) every hour. And you have to be silent during the songs, otherwise the waiters silence you or they restart the song. Need to bring cash, because cards are not accepted. Restaurant charges € 3.5 per plate for a bit of bread and olives, and the policy of spent per person of € 15 also gives an annoying signal.

You just have to pay for the food and drinks and enjoy the free fado music! Food is just normal but fado music is beautiful :)
