Over these two-week periods we are invited to discover the work and universe of one artist, with whom we can exchange for a holistic experience. With The Switch, Skoya has brought valuable international exposure to the Lisbon art scene, acting as a model for many local art protagonists. The gallery is a lighthouse within its neighborhood and has become a place of connectivity and joyful reunion for young creative minds in Lisbon. A passionate artist himself, Skoya has crafted a unique character of being both a dream alchemist and a time hunter. He consumes the latter in a methodical and surgical manner in order to create poetic, vibrantly pigmented dreams where time does not exist. In these esotheric visions, Skoya can wander away from time's constant formula. They are instants of a side dimension, quite like entering the pixels of a second in time. Before our eyes are these vibrant instants, tributes to symbols such as feminity, where we can focus on the subject as it somehow escaped from the passage of time.
