Un moment inoubliable pour fêter mon anniversaire. Les propriétaires sont d une gentillesse sans commune mesure. Ils sont attachants, attentionnés, extrêmement aimables. Le plus beau souvenir de repas d anniversaire (41 ans) gravé a tout jamais dans nos esprits, a moi ainsi qu a ma famille. Le CD sera notre lembrança de ce lieu unique. Después de leer docenas de reseñas sobre éste y otros locales de fado decidimos ir. Las reseñas decían que es un lugar autentico donde se escucha el fado de verdad. Para mi nada más lejos de la realidad. Me pareció un lugar lleno de turistas, con mesas muy pequeñas e incómodas. Y ruido, mucho ruido al ser un local tan pequeño con tanta mesa. Los artistas, que son los mismos que cocinan y algún otro artista a mayores, son divertidos y animan, pero no esperes escuchar grandes voces. El que toca la guitarra portuguesa es muy bueno, eso sí. El problema vino sobre todo en la comida. Cuando reservé me dijeron por email que eran 90 euros por 2 personas "precio cerrado" por 3 platos, vino de la casa, postre y café. Sin embargo una vez allí nos dijeron que había que elegir carne o pescado (adiós a lo de 3 platos) y más tarde nos ofrecieron a elegir un vino oporto de entre 3. Lo que no dijeron es que luego tendríamos que pagar 13 euros (edito: fueron 15 euros, el propietario tiene razón en esto ) por una sola copa de oporto y 10 euros por una de brandy. Miré en Internet, justamente se cobraron por cada copa lo que vale la respectiva botella. Técnicamente no nos engañaron pues el email no citaba que el oporto y el brandy estuviesen incluidos, pero da lugar a engaño pues tampoco nos dijeron que se pagaba aparte y nos vinieron a la mesa a ofrecerlo. Si buscas un fado divertido y una experiencia distinta (ojo, distinta, no auténtica) no es mal sitio, pero teniendo claro que si te sales del menú ya puedes preparar la cartera. El día anterior habíamos ido a O Faia y nos salió en 120 euros. En Sr. Fado en 122 (edito: fueron 115 euros).Por el mismo dinero iría a O Faia sin dudarlo, pues la elegancia del local, la calidad de los platos y las voces de Lenita Gentil y Antonio Rocha son muy superiores a lo que ofrecen en Sr. Fado. Edito la reseña: en la respuesta a mi reseña el propietario dice que sólo me faltó comer las cáscaras de las almejas, que soy un mentiroso y que no sé distinguir entre una buena voz y lo que es transmitir sentimientos, etc. Oiga señor, es que los cantantes de O Faia tienen mejor voz y además transmiten emociones y lo hacen mejor que ustedes. Y lo siento, pero para mi es así y no trate de ponerme por tonto. Insisto: su mujer vino a la mesa a ofrecer el oporto y el brandy en ningún momento mencionó los precios. No tengo por qué mentir. Por la manera en que me ha respondido ya se ve que le importa que el cliente se lleve un buen recuerdo, ya...vamos, de lo peor con lo que me topado hasta ahora. Soy consciente del daño que hace a un negocio una reseña negativa, pero es que ustedes se la han ganado a pulso.

This place is so overrated. There is much better just a few feet away. They ask you to reserve but they do not answer the phone and the emails. When they open a mad lady comes out the door bashing on everyone who did not have a reservation. We had one and we were told there is a “law” that prohibits families with kids and stroller in the restaurants. When asked about that law, she pointed out to a paper behind the door. Very discriminating, don’t deserve your money. Went down half block to Arcaz Velho and they welcomed us like family. Food is great and singer is excellent.

Erg naar mijn zin gehad. Een week van te voren gereserveerd en dat was goed op tijd, maar zeker nodig! Het heeft een fijne huiskamersfeer en je word direct geholpen door de eigenaars die een praatje met je maken. Het eten was prima! Je kan kiezen tussen een vis en vleesmenu. Vooraf krijg je lekkere kaasjes en olijfjes op brood. En na is er ook een heerlijk toetje. De wijn was erg lekker en genoeg met zijn tweeën! De avond werd mooi afgesloten met echte Fado muziek, verzorgd door de eigenaars. De muziek is veel hetzelfde en we zijn ook in de pauze naar huis gegaan, want na een dag door de stad lopen, wijntjes en de warmte vielen de oogjes bijna dicht. Bedankt voor de fijne avond!

Toller Abend mit leckerem portugisischen Essen, Fado im Anschluss und den zwei herzlichen Gastgebern, die selbst kochen und singen. Fairer Einmal-Preis pro Nase, alles inklusive. Tipp: Reservieren und pünktlich kommen, sonst bleibt die Tür geschlossen.

El menú es cerrado,( 45€) es un sitio pequeño y para mi gusto demasiado apretados unos con otros,cuesta hablar y no tienes intimidad. Puedes escoger entre carne ir pescado, según nos dijeron hecha de manera tradicional y la verdad muy rico. Los dueños son una familia muy amables y eficientes se organizan de maravilla, cuando terminan con las cenas ellos mismos cantan i explican la historia de los fados. You are basically being invited into one family’s home (although the dining area is quite large) and you will be eating what the family cooks for themselves. There are separate seafood and a meat offerings. Huge portions and not surprising everyone ate every bite. After coffee, instruments come out and your servers transform into Fado singers and start belting out traditional Fado. You sink into your chair as the music entices and swirls around the room. The applause is so spontaneous sometimes it can’t be held back before the song ends. This is honest Fado. Real Fado. Belted out with sincerity and emotion - the way it was in the days before travelers ever knew it existed. Before it was tourist-tweeked by a thousand eateries with menus printed in six languages. The second set began at midnight. Why am I still up so late? I never do this. But then I’m pleasantly full and I haven’t heard anything like this.

Ottima esperienza cucina ok musica eccezionale

Ok so it's 1:30am and my wife and i just got back from this place. We had to leave a review right away before we become sober again. J/k. Sober or Drunk doesn't matter. This place is just amazing. Magical. If you are visiting Lisbon and want to go to an awesome restaurant which serves authentic (and superb) Portugese food and wine, and provides a once in a life time Fado experience, come to this place. The owner couple is amazing both in terms of cooking and Fado. The wife sings and the husband sings and plays the Spanish guitar. The Portugese guitarist was just unbelievably good too. Everything is Fado. It just touched our hearts. Heck we sang together and somehow I ended up singing a South Korean song also. Also being from South Korea, we are pretty picky about seafood, but the food blew our mind. We made great friends, and it was the best night ever. And this was our first night in Lisbon. If you are reading this, you must visit here.

Beautiful place run by a family which will take you in and make you belong for a night. Not only will you hear Fado, they'll make you understand Fado, and more importantly feel Fado !

Wow! This evening was great the whole evning! As a musicien myself, I wanted a good fado place. And I chose Sr Fado. From the minute we came in the door, my husband and son (8) felt really welcome! The menues were generous and the cataplana, both fish and meat were teasty! And when the music started the evning was perfect! Thanks to the whole family for giving my family a great, unic experience! I recommend it to everyone inlove with the Fado and wanting to have a authentic meeting with real people!

Ganz tolles Lokal, absolut empfehlenswert. Wir waren etwas spät zum Termin, die Chefin hat aber extra gewartet auf uns. Erst wird das Essen serviert, wenn die Küche dann geschlossen ist, kommen Wirt und Wirtin zum Fado (spielen selber mit insgesamt 4 Personen). Sehr herzliche und familiäre Atmosphäre. Sehr gerne wieder.

I went here in November of 2019 on a trip with a debate team... it was my first time in Portugal and in Europe. I had no idea what to expect, as I had never heard Fado music until I came to the restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, but the performances were authentic and amazing. Still, months later, I just have to close my eyes to revisit the table, and I often find myself humming and singing the songs that were performed to us! I hope to come back to Portugal some day, and I will make a point of coming back here.

La mejor experiencia en Lisboa, si quieres experimentar la tradicional cena portuguesa llamada FADO, el Sr. Fado es un lugar tranquilo, acogedor, intimo, muy local, fina experiencia con guitarra portuguesa y española, muy agradable

Ça été génial !!! Pour information, il faut impérativement réserver car le lieu est tout petit mais l'atmosphère est tellement agréable, conviviale et détendue. Les hôtes sont des gens formidables, gentils, avenants, accueillant et très drôle! Ils ont ajoutés une touche de convivialité dans cette soirée. Ils parlent français donc ça facilite pas mal la communication si vous avez du mal avec l’anglais ou le portugais. Le repas fait maison était très bon et suffisamment copieux (vous en avez pour votre argent selon moi) même on aurait bien repris du dessert Avant le "spectacle", une explication est faite sur l’histoire du fado (l’explication est courte mais enrichissante) faite en français et en anglais c’était les langues les plus parlées ce soir-là parmi les clients donc c’était cool Même si je ne comprends pas les paroles du fado (c’est chanté en portugais) on vis complètement la musique, l’émotion qu’ils dégagent, le plaisir du son de la guitare… C’était une fabuleuse expérience !!! Nous repartirons manger et passer la soirée là-bas à notre prochain séjour à Lisbonne

I truly cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. The owners were so charming, so welcoming, and so incredibly friendly. The food was not only delicious, but also made with love and passion. After an amazing meal, the Fado begins. This was my first experience with fado, and it brought tears to my eyes. It was powerful and beautiful in all the right ways. PLEASE GO HERE, YOU REALLY CAN’T GO WRONG.

Eu e minha esposa chegamos a casa Sr fado pelos comentários aqui feitos. Fomos ontem, domingo e não tínhamos reserva. Chegamos na casa uns 40 minutos antes de abrir, seu Duarte nos informou que não tinha mais mesa disponível, falei q seria a nossa única chance de assistir o fado neste local, Duarte chamou sua esposa Marina e relatou a nossa situação. Conseguiram nos acomodar numa mesa, Duarte e Marina, nosso muito obrigado pela atenção e carinho conosco. Foi uma noite encantadora, com uma linda apresentação de fado, mas antes tivemos um jantar maravilhoso e um vinho no mesmo nível. Valor pago foi ótimo, estava incluído o show, jantar e o vinho. Recomendo ir neste restaurante, parece que estamos na casa de amigos.

Muito bom. Ambiente acolhedor e muito familar.

Très belle atmosphère pour ce resto fado tenu par 2 personnes très affables. La cuisine est très bonne. L occasion de goûter un plat typique : la cataplana version fruits de mer ou porc. Le vin est un peu moins bon. Tout à coup en fin de repas les patrons changent de casquettes pour laisser place à la mélodie du fado. La soirée est en deux parties : repas jusque 22h30 et fado jusque minuit. Juste peut être un peu long avant les premières notes de fado. Sinon belle expérience !

If you want local, authentic fado, this is the place to go. We were a bit worried about the place because the review replies seemed a bit feisty, but the owner/host was so nice and snarky, making jokes and laughing all around. We were a bit late, but the host got the spreads going quicly, and we had dinner until nine. There is some time in-between when the host clears the table and sets up the fado going. We passed the time by playing a mini board game with the table next to us (and the host just gave us a Look and had us laughing). It's a very intimate space, and that's what makes the atmosphere so cozy. The dinner was very hearty and homely. As for the fado - no, it's not perfect like the professionals, but it is very real. Sometimes it is sad and other times it is happy. Locals come in and jump in the stage, and overall it is a experience I would recommend, just to see how real/local fado plays out. We had a wonderful time here but unfortunately had to leave because by 11, I was dead tired (we had arrived in Lisbon on the same day), but I wish I had stayed longer after the performance. Plenty of wine and food to go around.

We loved it. People have to know that the meal comes first and then the fado, but we loved it. Really good food. Interesting company in shared table. And then terrific Fado with a long and generous set. The couple who own the place were joined by a terrific Portuguese guitar player and for several songs by their Godson, who had a terrific voice. It was family and it felt like it. A wonderful four hour experience. People should know to make reservations--we walked in and were lucky that there was a no show, but otherwise every seat and table was full

Un tres grand merci à ces propriétaires merveilleux qui nous on reçu comme à la maison . Un diner portugais dans toute sa splendeur, goût du terroir avec des produits frais. Spectacle et accueil personnalisé, chaque client avait un moment presque intime avec ses hôtes sans oublier leur filleul, tous les trois , étaient, serveurs, cuisiniers et fadistas (Chanteur de Fado) Cet endroit si petit , si convivial, je recommande. We visited in 2017 and will definitely be back some day! An incredible, authentic experience in Lisbon! The food and music were both wonderful and we loved the atmosphere. I emailed ahead of time to get a cake made for my husband’s birthday, and they made a huge cake to feed to whole restaurant, which was such a lovely surprise.

Não tenho qualquer tipo de parentesco com a pessoa abaixo referida e acho de muito mau tom uma insinuação desse tipo, relativamente à sua resposta parece-me bastante elucidativa do tipo de comportamento que não se deve ter com um cliente. A internet é usada e utilizada da forma a todos poderem dar a sua opinião (seja ela positiva ou negativa), nem todos pensamos de forma igual e nem todos concordamos com certo tipo de comportamento (a isso chama-se liberdade de expressão e democracia). Assim sendo não me vou estender em mais nenhum comentário e peço a todos que revejam as respostas dadas a TODAS as anteriores pontuações negativas e que façam o seu próprio julgamento relativamente à postura a ser utilizada com os clientes.

Inacreditáveis as respostas que me deram por e-mail quando solicitei uma reserva. Deixo-vos um exemplo porque realmente é inacreditável. Quando eu respondi â proposta que me fizeram com um "Obrigada, Nao estou interessada. Com os melhores cumprimentos" A resposta foi: "que resposta simpática.... obrigada mas não necessitava de responder :) sem resposta já saberiamos que não estava interessada e nem me lembrava do seu email..." Deviam encontrar alguém que vos faça a gestao do contacto com o cliente.

Très déçu de tout ces avis qui sont j'en suis certain justifiés , nous nous sommes rendus sur place pour profiter de ce spectacle malheureusement le restaurant etait plein et fermé, j'ai donc appelé pour réservé pour un autre jour mais personne n'a décroché, je n'aurai donc pas la chance de pouvoir jugé et certainement apprécié ce lieu mon regret ne pas avoir eu ce contact qui aurait atténué ma déception très très déçu mais sans rancune .

Mon conjoint et moi avons passez une superbe soirée, restaurant petit et conviviale, ambiance familiale, Fado typique, Repas de très haute qualité et prix défiant toute concurrence, le spectacle as durée au moins 1h30 et était magnifique, les artistes sont adorables, ce n'est pas un restaurant ATTRAPE TOURISTE, il est authentique, je recommande vivement

Veelbelovend op allerhande sites, maar wat ‘n tourist trap.... De gastvrouw is opdringerig, het eten middelmatig, je zit er als sardienen opeen gepakt en de eigenaars brengen zelf singalong fado... een aanfluiting van dit prachtige land en haar cultuur.... 45 euro pp armer, die konden we beter besteden. We recently had the pleasure of being hosted by Ana Maria & Duarte Santos at their Fado restaurant in Lisbon. My wife and I were visiting Lisbon from Canada, and this was our last night in Lisbon. The Fado and dining experience at Sr. Fado was the crowing glory of our stay in Lisbon. The Duarte family received all the guests at their restaurant as a family. They were really welcoming and hospitable, and offered a superb meal with a real "home cooked" feel to it. They then performed Fado music and singing for over two hours, which was a wonderful and unique experience. The event lasted till past midnight, and even though we had to catch an early morning flight, we were so glad that we stayed right to the end. Thanks again Ana Maria and Duarte for creating wonderful memory that we will share with all of our friends in Canada!

Situação desagradável com o serviço, quando o dono do restaurante nos ofereceu uma mesa pra sentar e, pouco tempo depois, no meio do restaurante cheio (10 pessoas ou mais ao redor) disse que a mesa estava reservada e que tínhamos falado a ele que tínhamos uma reserva - o confundimos ou, talvez, mentimos. Para alguém que vier aqui, a esposa dele tem mais estrutura e sabe das reservas e horários. Ignorem o marido. A dona da casa e muito competente - cozinha muito bem!

Dün akşam, cumartesi gecesi bu harika mekandaydık. Müşterilerini misafir gibi ağırlıyorlar, oldukça nazik ve hoş sohbet insanlar. Et veya balık tercih edebilirsiniz. Biz balık istedik, daha doğrusu denizden ne çıkarsa, yemek nefisdi. Tatlı ve kahveden sonra fado başlıyor. Az önce size servisi yapanlar bu defa sanatçı olarak karşınıza çıkıyor. Müzik de yemekler gibi güzeldi. Pek çok teşekkür. İstanbul'dan selamlar. Obrigado :)

I'm the wife of Dinis Ramos who wrote a review below. Actually I didn't want to make a review but their answer was very rude so I need to say the truth. First, I'm not a Chinese, I'm Korean. They never asked me where I'm from and just say like that(4 Chinese came and had a very bad manner - now they delite this sentence) it's racism. Maybe they think all Asian is Chinese and not educated. Now is 21 century! what a poor mind!! And I'm living in lisbon, afama, 3 years and always respect all Portuguese and their culture. Normaly they never judge me because of I'm Asian except you. You can say about our attitude but don't need to say we are 'Chinese' first. Second, the most important thing is their fado was really worst fado ever I experienced in portugal last 3 years. I love music and I wanted live in this city because of fado. This music is magical, so I visited almost all fado restaurant in Lisbon. But here is really really horrible. They are family and father was the first singer. He sing with playing guitar and not that good so I thought It's because he's not a singer, maybe professional for the guitar. But finally he was better than his son and wife. The wife almost shout during 1 hour and it was not a song. Just noise. And all fado restaurants has a break time. When the singer change, people can talk each other about the feeling, can go to wc or go out. But this restaurant never have a break time. That's the worst point. I need to wake up when they finish one song because really urgent to go to the toilet. Not because I don't respect them. And during 2 hours we can't communication at all. It's feel like a prison and torturing us. You can't imagine. There is no way to go out(to come back home!!). Nobody to pay(all family in the stage) and for going out I need to pass everybody because It's very small place. They said we were talking a lot during the concert but It's not true. Totally lie. we tried to respect them so didn't make a noise at all. Maybe don't make a good reaction. But we tried to keep the manner and didn't leave the restaurant until finish the concert. And actually fado is a little bit casual music in the restaurant like a jazz, not a classic in the concert hall. If the singer is good everybody can focus on the concert, It's natural. But that day it was very hard to fall in their music. Third, this is not just our opinion. My brother escaped alone(luckily) and he met the other guest smoking in front of restaurant from Swiss(not asian). And the guy also ask to my brother what do he think about the performance and they had exactly same opinion. The guy said "very hard to believe trip advisor's review. it's unbelievable this kind of restaurant has a 4.5 star". For me also this is the big mistery. That night the fadista said many times to the guest "Please wake up, don't sleep" and "SHUT UP". Not to us, to everybody. Is this respect for the guest? I never heard fadista say "shut up" to the audience. Maybe they think it's just kidding but actually it was very rude. If the concert was good why everybody's sleeping? Why they need to wake up guest all night? I really wanted introduce best fado restaurant in Lisbon to my family from Korea. Even they wanted to deposit harf of the bill for the reservation(like a Michelin 3 star restaurant!), so we expected a lot. Finally I really regret my choice and when we escape that prison 1 a.m we need to drink more wine to get rid of this memory. Actually they are very kind people. So I think many clients just forget and didn't make a bad review. But I don't want more victim like us. 리스본에서 가이드로 활동하고 있고 알파마에 3년째 살고 있습니다. 이곳은 제가 지금까지 경험해본 최악의 파두 레스토랑이에요. 여기서 공연을 보시고 이게 진짜 파두라고 생각하신다면 너무 슬프고 안타까울 것 같네요. 주인 내외의 친절함과는 별개로 공연이 너무 후집니다. 바로 길 건너편의 mesa do frades에서 제대로 된 진짜 파두를 들으실 수 있습니다. 저는 이 두 식당과 아무 관계도 없지만 다른 리뷰에 속지 마시라고 말씀드립니다.

If you want to experience Fado in Lisbon I can't imagine a better place to do so. I felt as tho we were guests in their home and we were received and treated as such. The food was great from the first course to the last as was the Fado. Highly recommend. It is cash only so come prepared.

Estuvimos la pasada noche.... los dueños son los mismos que actúan después. Las mesas están puestas con calzador, es más, si uno quiere ir al aseo hay que molestar al resto de comensales moviendo sillas y mesas. Es un local muyy pequeño. A mi modo de ver es un sitio para turistas que son camelados de una manera magistral por parte de lis dueños. La decoración del local es de papel pintado de Leroy Merlin, no tienen datafono, y las facturas se hacen con boli sin ningún dato fiscal. Te hacen pagar parte por adelantado. La comida es nefasta, muy poca cantidad de pescado. No lo considero para nada recomendable.

Diner spectacle où vous decouvrirez dans une petite salle à l'ambiance familiale (expression non galvaudée ici), une cuisine familiale et ce fado authentique et sincère. Bravo !

Simply amazing. Husband and wife who host, cook, serve and then sing. An incredible experience you cannot miss. Felt like we were amongst a group of friends and the the hosts were amazing. So fun. Delicious. And just a beautiful night our family will never forget. Thank you Sr Fado!! ❤️

An incredibly hospitable, lovingly offered experience, like stepping into Ana Marina and Duarte’s tiny front room where they make you feel at home, feed you, tend to you and then entertain you... wow! Thank you for the extraordinary effort you put into this sweet offering.

Authentic Fado and good food. Songs were sung in Portuguese, but the musicians patiently and effficiently explained the gist of the songs in the languages spoken by the audience.

My family will never return to this place! Terrible food, very dirty and disorganized environment, bad staff and we did not like the music at all. Our children have gone bad because of the disgusting smell of that place. Please do not visit this awful place !!! In Lisbon you will find better places to eat and listen to good music.

Very dirty space and lousy food !! I really like Lisbon and I come here many times and this time I tried to visit the restaurant "Senhor Fado", which is the worst place in Lisbon to hear fado! The people who work there are very rude, the space is dirty and smells really bad and the food is awful and still costs 45 €. Please do not go to this site !!!

Very nice experience. The place is run by a family and they make you feel at home. Good food, authentic fado - nice evening. Since the place is small, you'll need to book in advance. The dinner starts at 19.30. Fado lasts till midnight (so it's quite lengthy event overall).

De fado is leuk, de atmosfeer vriendelijk. Maar het eten is zeer slecht. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding komt beslist niet overeen en ook de zit is lang in een heel kleine ruimte met te veel mensen en zeer slecht meubilair. Reactie op reactie eigenaar. Jammer van de reactie op de kritiek, misschien kan je daar eens voor open staan. Vlees of vis het moet niet uitmaken. Voor de rest heeft u de hoeveelheden verdubbeld. Wij hebben zeker geen 2 liter wijn gehad en ook niet de mogelijkheid gehad de tweede consumptie te bestellen en van een 2 uren durende show was zeker geen sprake. Ik heb geen kritiek op uw show maar alleen op het eten. Ik vond de sfeer ok, maar blijf erbij dat het eten niet goed was en ik maak ook geen enkele opmerking over het feit dat u niet hard werkt. Voor de rest hebben wij voor gisteravond voor 165 euro zeer luxe gegeten. Bediend door ook hard werkende mensen die kwaliteit wilden leveren.

Nice experience. We have been lucky with nice neighbours, as the place is very small and tables are against each other. Food is ok. Music is nice , certainly very enjoyable if you speak portuguese.

Loved it. Absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was perfect. Small and intimate. Homely and welcoming. The food was outstanding. I had been most looking forward to the food, and I was much more than satisfied. Fresh, seasoned beautifully, and clearly made with care. But the owners were a joy too. It didn’t cross my mind that I would have enjoyed the owners as much as I did. Lovely people to talk too. Informative. Interested in you as a guest. Willing to share all about their food, and also what they know of fado. They’re both great singers. Marina’s voice put shivers down my spine. Quiet and delicate and one point, then suddenly nothing but power and emotion the next. Not a cheap night out, but it was worth every cent.

Os donos são extremamente simpáticos, a comida e as entradas são saborosas, e a Filha do casal é uma fadista de primeira. Jantar completo com Fado por pessoa €45. Tem que fazer reserva. Lugar familiar.

Nagyon belsoseges, hangulatos és zartkoru. Előre kell helyet foglalni, kulonben nem fer be az ember a 30 negyzetmeteren kb.28 ember a kis asztaloknal. A család főz, felszolgal és enekel +egy főorvos aki a portugal gitaron jatszik. És mindez az Alfama -ban.

J'ai été relativement déçu par ce restaurant... Accueil chaleureux et convivial mais cuisine plus que décevante pour les 45 euros demandés. J'ai testé d'autres restaurants de fado, notamment dans le baixo alto où les fadistes étaient aussi bons (voir meilleurs), avec une cuisine de bien meilleure qualité pour la moitié de ce prix. Ai l'impression d'être tombé dans un "piège à touristes"...

真是美好的FADO 夜晚，八點用餐約1.5小時，然後開始FADO 表演，二隻吉他，三名歌手輪流演唱，一直到晚上11點才結束。猶如家宴般的溫馨，葡萄牙海鮮頓飯很好吃，tapas 也很棒，我們在里斯本渡過的第一個美好夜晚 ~~

Sensacional! É mais do que um bom restaurante, é mais do que uma excelente apresentação de fado, é uma experiência para toda a vida. Estive na casa no último dia 31 e posso dizer que foi um dos melhores jantares que tive a oportunidade de ter. Ambiente acolhedor, divertido e inesquecível. Se for a Lisboa, não deixe de ir ao Sr. Fado.

What an evening! We were surprised by a 3 course traditional meal and 1 1/2 hour really enjoyable Fado music. The family running the place is super friendly and the atmosphere was perfect in this small and cosy place.

Same proprietors welcomed us back after previous visit to Sr. Fado 5 years ago; fine guitars and inspiring Fado music following home cooked and family-style delicious dinner.

Wir waren in freudiger Erwartung auf einen schönen Fadoabend, doch dieser endete bereits, bevor er begann. Obwohl wir bereits im August gebucht hatten und auch eine Terminbestätigung erhielten, war für uns kein Tisch reserviert. Die mehr als unhöfliche Besitzerin teilte uns mit, dass wir keine Vorauszahlung geleistet hätten und deshalb keinen Tisch haben. Allerdings war in der Buchungsbestätigung keine Bankverbindung zur Vorkasse mitgeteilt worden, sodass wir auch nichts überweisen konnten. Über den Umgang von seitens der Besitzerin (die uns vor anderen Gästen lautstark abwies) haben wir uns mächtig geärgert - so etwas ist uns noch nicht passiert. Im Nachhinein waren wir nicht böse über den Ausgang dieser Angelegenheit. Wir hatten in einem kleinen Lokal gegenüber leckeres portugiesisches Essen à la carte und etwas später Fado ohne Bezahlung in den Gassen von Mouraria.

Excellent food, intimate setting, great atmosphere, and a terrific introduction to Fado, all orchestrated and performed by the Santos family. You couldn't find a better place for a Fado evening. Reservations are essential.

Hands down, the most amazing Fado bar in Lisbon. Food, culture and entertainment all in one intimate room. This is a small family run restaurant in the heart of the Alfama district. They serve you food, drinks and then they sing for you. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the sea-food cataplana for two and it was incredible (I wish they would share the recipe). The Fado element was as amazing as the food! They would stop in-between songs and talk about what they meant and then talk about the history of Fado and the Portuguese culture. It is a memorable affair in which you need to book in advance for.

Alsof je bij familie thuis komt die je lang niet heb gezien. Ongekend, zo warm en aardig. Kokin in tevens de zangeres en de gastheer ( goede vriend van oa fam Koeman) geeft na advies over de Port ook nog gitaar. Boek dit van te voren want het is vol.

What a fantastic night. I would warmly recommend this to anyone visiting Lisbon. Only 25 seats so make sure you book. Start with some lovely cheese and cold meats with bread olives and wine. Then choose the fishy or meaty dinner. We had the fishy one with large prawns and muscles and fish in a gorgeous bisque full of flavour. Then cheesecake to finish. Then the music starts and they welcome guest players and singers as well as your hosts singing until the early hours. Thank you for. Most enjoyable night with very hospitable and friendly staff.

Um local muito agradável para jantar em um ambiente familiar. Após o jantar um show de Fado. O proprietário disse já ter ido muitas vezes ao Brasil e que era amigo de Vinícius de Morais.

Um excelente local para jantar e assistir a um espectáculo de Fado num ambiente intimista e familiar. Aconselho vivamente a todos os portugueses a conhecerem este local e desfrutarem um pouco da nossa cultura, o 'Fado'.

Nourriture très moyenne et relativement chère, la chanteuse de Fado que nous avons eu ce soir était par contre exceptionnelle.

Duarte and Marina Santos are the gracious hosts of this intimate restaurant in ancient Alfama, Portugal. Together they do it all. She cooks the traditional Portugese meal consisting of seafood and/ or pork, and he is your waiter and bus boy . Although you are a complete stranger in these surroundings you will feel as though you are family or at least a close lifelong friend. You will get to know the other dinner guests as well, since the entire restaurant is really not much larger than the average American family room. Several hours later after you have been satiated with good home cooking and yes homemade wine, Marina will shed her apron and bandana and emerge as a femme fatale in a form fitting dress and silk scarf, and Duarte will sit down with his well worn guitar. He will be joined by another musician donning a Fado mandolin , and the most remarkable evening of entertainment will unfold before your eyes and ears. Everything about the Alfama and Sr.Fado draw you into the epicenter of saudade , the melancholic longing for love and loss, the emotions we as humans all experience but only the Iberian Peninsula turns into a true art form. You will become part of this oral tradition of poetry set to music, you will be immersed in a multi cultural atmosphere and experience, and the polyglot in you will be inspired to communicate in foreign tongues. Though attending a Fado show might be a cliched tourist activity , this one is truly an exceptional window into an centuries old tradition and well worth your time and money . Obrigada Marina and Duarte for an unforgettable evening of food , wine and song. And felicidades to that adorable Spanish/Portugese couple who got engaged in the midst of it all. !

As authentic as it can gets. Lovely family business that needs reservation in advance. Food was good, not espetacular. But considering the show, emotions, history and environment it was worth the 45 euros.

Tout le quartier est juste inoubliable, canteur de fado, odeur de sardines grillés, rues tortueuses, peintures murales, vent tiède, sangria comme nulle part ailleurs ... le restaurant est à l'image du quartier

Le patron accueille très bien les clients ! La cuisine est excellente, les plats et les saveurs authentiques. En comparaison des restaurants du quartier c'est par contre un peu cher. Mais l'expérience vaut le détour au moins une fois de passage à Lisbone.

Lugar excepcional donde se une el sentimiento y el buen yantar. Totalmente recomendable.

Public cosmopolite, une américaine native de Baltimore, tout comme mon idole Franck ZAPPA. J'ai chanté "la vie en rose " pour la France, dont nous étions, mon épouse et moi même, les uniques représentants. La patronne est super sympa, et chante divinement le Fado! Le porc aux palourdes était délicieux.

8月1日，今日晚餐，一家名为Sr. Fado的餐馆，餐馆的主人是一对老夫妻，脸上洋溢着热情真诚的笑容。他告诉我们，葡萄酒是他自己酿的，果汁是自己榨的。面包和南瓜酱是他太太做的，奶酪是他90多岁的邻居老奶奶做的。盘子一黑一白交错搭配，很花心思。老板似乎很了解东方人的心思，，在满满两大盆海鲜和牛肉后，竟然配上了满满一大盆米饭，让所有的人都欢呼雀跃起来。

We spent a thoroughly delightful evening at SR Fado a couple years ago and look forward to returning next month when we will be in Lisbon to embark on a cruise ship. The food, fado music, and congeniality of our hosts were exceptional.

Foi um noite óptima para mim para a minha esposa e um casal amigo. Óptimo jantar, a famosa cataplana de peixe e marisco e deliciosas sobremesas da autoria da dona da casa pelos quais fomos muito bem recebidos. Óptimo espectáculo de fados num ambiente totalmente familiar e intimista. Recomendo a quem gostar de um ambiente assim e com um jantar bem à portuguesa. Um dia lá voltarei
