This is worth a trip just for the amazing olive bread! & as name suggests, they know their wines! Lovely intimate atmosphere, and on the evening I was there they also had incredible live music. Staff was very helpful and lovely!

Le plat, enfin la sauce surtout était bonne. Mais j'ai commandé le Hamburger pour n'avoir qu'un steack haché. J'ai demandé au serveur, il m'a confirmé que c'était bien ce que j'avais commandé, un hamburger. Et bien... il aurait fallu simplement nommer le plat Steak haché et pommes de terre.
J'aurais aimé avoir plus de sauce, qui était d'ailleurs très bonne, mais du coup, le steak était un peu sec car pas assez.
Le serveur était très stressant par contre. Une minute après notre installation, il vient nous demander notre commande alors que nous n'avions pas eu le temps de parcourir la carte. Nous lui avons demandé plus de temps et il est revenu presque aussitôt. Nous l'avons trouvé trop pressant tout du lond, stressant, trop présent finalement, même si c'est dans le geste de bien faire.
Juste déçue de ne pas m'être retrouvé avec ce que je pensais être un hamburger.

Went there for a meal. The tuna steak was tough on one side and practically raw on the other. When I pointed this out they made no attempt to put it right, no apology, no offer of a discount. The vegetables served with the fish were, at best, bland. All in all an awful, expensive meal and, as mentioned in other comments, they don't take cards.
Go for a drink, but don't bother with the food.

Si pubblicizza musica live fado....ma di fado neanche l'ombra. Baccalà e carne portoghese strariscaldata. Viene rifiutato il pagamento con carta dicendo che di ciò è data informativa sulle porte d'accesso al locale ma io non ne vedo l'esistenza. Per me un'esperienza da non ripetere.

Place is not bad, they have a nice list of vines, but service is slow as hell. I waited more than 30 minutes to pay invice and worst of all i needed to go to atm as they are not accepting credit cards. Prices are more than avg in Lisbon.

Demasiado caro para a qualidade da comida.
As sobremesas não são frescas. Arroz doce mal cozido com sabor a frigorífico. Molotov seco.

A typical wine place with live music in Lisbon. Nice design, wine list, and a big variety of meal. Service is something to be improved. They do not accept cards, and do not tell this when you come.

Pour un repas en musiques live très sympathique venez dîner au Wine Lover. restaurant situé au cœur d’un quartier très vivant de Lisbonne. Des
Plats typiques du Portugal et de très bonne qualité. Un service très fun avec un serveur qui met de l’ambiance et qui parle le Français ( ça aide). Nous avons passé une superbe soirée. À refaire et nous le conseillons vivement.
Mais attention il faut prévoir du cash car ils ne prennent pas la carte de crédit. Obliger d’aller retirer au DAB ATM en face avec 2€95 de frais. 1/4 de bouteille d’eau à 2€50 . Ok on est en vacances mais faut pas abuser quand même. Ça alourdit l’addition

Ce restaurant est une perle, les plats sont délicieux et bien copieux à des prix très corrects. Les serveurs parlent portugais, français et anglais donc c'est super pour communiquer! Il y a une musique d'ambiance super et le jeudi des musicien.nes viennent jouer durant le repas, c'est juste une merveille à écouter. Je recommande fortemenr, foncez-y !!!!!

Foncez-y les yeux fermés ! Trois fois en trois voyages, j'en redemande encore tellement la voix d'Alexandre me transporte sur les notes de guitare de Rui ! Et que dire du service de Vasco, un spectacle rien qu'à lui seul ! Les pasteis de bacalhau sont un régal !

Il FAUT y aller au moins une fois (nous c'est déjà 3 fois en trois voyages ;-) ) Soyez là au début, vers 20 heures (fermeture à minuit pétantes !), choisissez votre table, et prenez la peine de vous poser et d'écouter Alexandre Couto et son guitariste Rui. outre les covers d'artistes anglais, français et espagnols, Alexandre vous offre un Fado unique, vivant et authentique, plus que dans certains bars à Fado purement "commerciaux" d' Alfama. Faites-lui pliasir, achetez-lui un CD. A table, les plats sont excellents, et les deux cuistots font des miracles dans leur petite cuisine, les pasteis de bacalahau maison sont à tomber et les plats de poisson absolument savoureux. Vasco, en plus de faire le spectacle en salle, vous conseillera efficacement sur les vins (un peu chers pour qui connaît les prix, c'est mon seul regret), restez jusqu'au bout, vous aurez probablement la chance d'entendre des clients de passage pousser la chansonnette avec Alexandre, vers 22 heures, et ça, c'est magique ! Obrigado a equipe ! Ate breve !

Fomos jantar ao Wine Lover no dia 1 de janeiro e apesar de ter passado a noite da passagem de ano parecia que estávamos outra vez em festa todo o pessoal divertido e sem acusar cansaço com estrema simpatia a comida fresca e deliciosa e a música ao vivo do melhor . De destacar também a excelente garrafeira .

Reading the reviews, not sure what happened here 3-6 months ago, but that was not our experience.
We had a bread basket, a Portuguese meat and cheese board, Lamb Chops, something like Shrimp Cevice, rice, 2 glasses of wine, and Lemon Tart dessert for about 80 euro, which seems to be about average for the places we've been so far.
The waiter suggested two excellent wines and was extremely attentive, there was very good live music, the restaurant was not crowded at all, and the credit card machine was in good working order.
Good experience all around.

Do not eat here. Not impressed at all unfortunately we did not look at the reviews beforehand otherwise we would not have eaten here. We were first met by a nice older waiter and ordered a starter, which was nice followed by cod and spinach and potatoes which was full of bones and was extremely ordinary, and a glass of wine. The original waiter was not seen again another waiter, beard and tattooed came to us and was very abrupt in his attitude, couldn’t care less. We asked for the bill only to be told that the ‘ cash machine’ was not working and only took cash. Luckily we had enough to pay for this very expensive ordinary meal. Interesting to see from other reviews that over the past two years the ‘ cash machine’ has not been working. Wonder how much of this cash goes through the till or into their back pockets. Wonder if the Tax man of Lisbon would be interest in this ?

Pour commencer, le serveur est insupportable, il prend part aux conversations, merci pour l'intimité. Le repas est vraiment pas bon, viande plus que sèche, pommes de terre cuites à maintes reprises sans parler du vin servi très chaud sans compter que le serveur tente de vous arnaquer en vendant une bouteille ne correspondant pas au choix initial et comme par hasard plus onéreuse... Ce restaurant ne mérite pas d'être "recommandé" par trip advisor !

Nefasta experiencia! Nos sentimos insultados por ser españoles. El camarero, canoso, calvo y con gafas, nos reprendió por no hablar portugués y acusó de venir a Portugal a imponer nuestras costumbres por decirle “gracias” en lugar de “obrigado”. Intentamos ser amables para amansarlo y acabó confesando estar orgulloso de que su familia mataba españoles en el siglo XVII. Se negó a hablar español a pesar de confesar conocerlo perfectamente, demencial!!
La comida escasa y el vino normalito. No admiten tarjetas de crédito. Lo mejor el cantante de fado.

Experiencia muy desagradable si eres español. Se niegan a hablarte en castellano, a pesar de que alardean de conocerlo. El camarero calvo con gafas, se dedica a importunar cada vez que acude, con historias peyorativas de españoles, llegando a comentar que un pariente suyo los mataba con un palo. La comida aceptable y el cantante estupendo, pero la noche se nos enturbió a pesar de intentar limar asperezas con el camarero lisboeta.

Lamentable, el camarero acabó alardeando de que “una prima mía mató a seis españoles con un palo” ante nuestros estupor pues solo queríamos escuchar fado en la preciosa Lisboa.
Si eres español no debes entrar. Nuestro camarero -delgado y pelo blanco- nos llamó la atención por no responder en portugués “si vienes a Portugal habla portugués”. Nos odiaba a pesar de que nos esforzamos tratándolo con la mayor cortesía.
El fado muy bueno y la comida correcta, no admiten tarjetas y si eres español busca otro lugar.

The wine was amazing and while the food may have been on the pricier side (we can't really tell, because we hadn't dinner here) the cheese plate was quite good.
Also the staff was really really nice and the atmosphere as a whole was good so that we had an amazing evening!

Wine selection was great, but food was not very good. Staff was nice and understanding and took some food off our bill. We ended up not eating anything except the bruschetta. Even that wasn't very good because it was just cheese ham and ketchup. Also they only accept cash.

Lugar sensacional! Opção de petiscos e bebidas de ótima qualidade com bons preços! E o melhor, musica ao vivo todas as noites! E os proprietários, seria um comentário a parte, pois tornam o ambiente ainda mais acolhedor! Já voltamos varias vezes e com certeza voltaremos muitas outras! Sempre indico aos amigos brasileiros que viajam a Lisboa para que não deixem de dar uma passada nesse local.

Fun place. Quieter part at front, restaurant at back with music - reminded me of Merv and the Magic Tones from the Blues Brothers. Mains and tapas - I had cod loin corn breaded with boiled potatoes and spinach which was great. Kids spaghetti good but large. Waiter very friendly.

Pessimo il ristorante e pessimo il servizio, avevamo prenotato il giorno prima e non abbiamo trovato il tavolo richiesto.
Per mangiare tapas, due gamberi e due bicchieri di birra abbiamo speso quasi 90 euro.
Abbiamo dovuto pagare in contanti perché non accettavano ne carte ne bancomat...
Da evitare!!!!

Vorrei tanto dare più stelle, ma essendo capitati qui per caso ed avendo già mangiato in un altro locale abbiamo solo assaggiato uno stuzzichino. Locale sempre con musica dal vivo, dinamico e con personale molto cortese. Eccellente cantina di vini. Se potete, venite qui e non ve ne pentirete.

Visitei este espaço nos últimos dias do passado ano de 2014. Fiquei deveras surpreendido pela qualidade da decoração. Integrado num grupo de amigos (seis pessoas) ficámos muito agradados, com o atendimento, qualidade dos petiscos, e música. Em suma, trata-se de um local a revisitar e a aconselhar a outros amigos. Por outro lado, e puxando, como é óbvio, ao nosso lado de português, fiquei completamente rendido aos pratos mais representativos da n/ rica gastronomia. Bem hajam.
