Basics of service were neglected - such as providing olive oil with bread.
Wait for food was well in excess of 40 minutes with no communication of delay. Even when food was delivered to the table there was an extra wait and some items were missed.
Portions were small and, despite a good quality of food, not in proportion to their price - especially the vegetarian brás.
Wine recommendations were well received by the group and waiters were friendly.
I think the restaurants of Chef Avillez offer more in Lisbon than here, but it is in a convenient location.

It’s a shame that they overcooked the grilled prawns. The wait staff were nice and helpful. But generally I would call this place over priced and over crowded (with tourists like me).

Really nice food and the waiters were all lovely and very friendly. However, I don’t really appreciate when they put some bread and olives on the table, even though no one asked for it, say that the bread is free, but at the end all is put on the tab. I mean, honesty is a nice thing! And of course I will eat it, since it all looks yummy!

Prima lunch gegeten hier. Bediening was niet heel best, maar het was ook behoorlijk druk. Dit werd wel netjes goedgemaakt met een gratis koffie (die vervolgens wel op de rekening stond ). Onderdeel van de Time Out market, wat ook echt een heel gaaf concept is.

Que c'était bonnnnnn. N'hésitez pas à vous asseoir au comptoir pour regarder ce que préparent les cuisiniers. J'ai vraiment très très bien mangé. Une cuisine savoureuse, carte riche en plats, pour tous les gouts. Nous avons mangé la morue avec des pommes frites façon chips et un steak de thon avec des patates douces. Petit "défaut": les plats refroidissent très vite.

One of my best restaurant in Lisboa, in the Time Out market. People are very nice, especially Karisma who is really kind and funny. We went twice in 4 days! Everything is good and fresh. You can try many Portugues specialities, you won't be disappointed. I'll go back next time for sure!

Food is excellent and ambiance is equally good. My only issue - and it’s a real issue - is that they initially refused to serve us tap water, instead serving us bottles. They said it’s because the water from the tap “isn’t good enough”, which is complete nonsense. After we told them that we didn’t want to waste plastic, they relented and discreetly served tap water to us when the manager / owner wasn’t around. When the owner reads this, I challenge you to put the environment first and your wallet second. This is Europe in the 21st century and we should all know better and do better. There is no taste difference, and even if there was, we stated that we were okay with the purported difference, so at least serve your customers what they ask for. Anyway, everywhere in Europe needs to make improvements here. Stop being snooty about bottled water being more sophisticated and start caring for the environment. Recycling doesn’t do the trick and neither do recycled bottles. Anyway, off my soap box :)

Best meal in Lisbon with the friendliest waiter. Order the shrimp, scallops and clams for appetizers and get some bread to soak up the sauces. You will not regret it. For the main course, the tuna steak was there winner.

We originally did not want to come here, we were walking by and “Gustavo” was expertly selling us the idea of coming to visit here. We politely declined, checked out every other place and decided we wanted to give them a try solely because of his enthusiasm and niceness. We enjoyed delicious oyster accompanied by savoring sparkling wine. We highly recommend this restaurant. The chef, Pedro, talked to us about his cooking philosophy and shared recommendations for us to try out in the rest of the market. “Bebac” was extremely courteous and funny, we shared stories. This is EXACTLY what a Timeout market restaurant should be like. Come here

La comida está bien, aunque tampoco nada del otro mundo, y me ha parecido caro. La atención del personal inmejorable, y nos sentamos en la terraza y estábamos muy agusto mirando al parque de enfrente mientras almorzamos.

Meiner Meinung nach eine typische Touristenabzocke. Ich hatte ein Thunfischsteak medium bestellt und wunderte mich schon dass es nach 5 Minuten auf dem Tisch stand. Es war so gut wie roh, kalt und völlig versalzen, dazu ein undefinierbares Gemüse, ebenfalls fast kalt. Das Alles für 18,50 €. Nie wieder in diesem Restaurant. Vielleicht hatte ich ja auch nur Pech..

Comi o prego de atum, e pelo preço, deixa a desejar. O pão era bastante duro e compacto, o que tornou comer o prego numa tarefa árdua. Pedi que fosse médio e a senhora quando no trouxe disse que estava bem passado, e na verdade estava cru (voltou para trás). Os nossos cafés ficaram pelo caminho pelo que tivemos de os pedir novamente, ao que o senhor nos trouxe os mesmos três cafés já frios e queimados. Tive de pedir novamente outro café. Deixa a desejar. Não tenciono voltar uma vez que a oferta em Lisboa é vasta e muito competitiva.

After trying and failing to find a seat indoors at Time Out Market, we managed to get seated at Balcão da Esquina. I ordered the tuna steak and it was cooked well with good flavours. The service was great and the waiter helped me try a few wines before deciding on the right drop.

Had a great meal here. Food was excellent (try scallops, cheese plate and salt cod). Plus the staff was amazingly attentive and fun. We went with our 11 month old, she has never been more loved at a restaurant.

Há sempre uma sugestão de prato do dia, que varia, e sobremesas (também criativas) para acabar de melhor forma a refeição. O serviço é bom, carta de vinho okay, mas é um bom lugar para apreciar e o vem e vai de turistas que vão até o Time Out.

Spécialités portugaises, poissons, viandes, le choix est vaste.
Serveurs agréables et parlant plusieurs langues. Je vous le conseille fortement.

Se puede acceder desde el mercado Take-Out o desde la calle. Sorprende que en un sitio pequeño todo sepa tan bien. El camarero muy amable y divertido.

Excellent restaurant that you'll find in the Time Out Market of Lisbon.
In this place, I tried for the first time the Bacalau a Bras. And after trying it in another restaurant, I realized that the one from Balçao da Esquinha is very good.
The decoration of the plate and the textures are amazing.
The staff is also very friendly.

A garçonete é muito mal educada, pedimos um chopp até decidir o prato e a garçonete falou que teríamos de pedir logo a comida para continuar utilizando a mesa, disse que lá era para comer e não para beber ♂️, bebida muito cara e com os preços da comida um absurdo. Mudamos para um restaurante (Gambuza) logo do outro lado da rua, com muito mais variedade de bebidas artesanais e com os pratos bem mais baratos, aconselho a conhecer e ter uma excelente experiência com o bom atendimento dos garçons, sempre bem dispostos e descontraídos.

쉐프가 추천하는 요리를 시켜먹었는데 괜찮았습니다. 생선 요리가 유명하니까 꼭 생선 요리 드셔보시고 생굴 좋아하시는 분은 꼭 드셔보세요! 정말 굴이 너무 신선해서 좋았네요.
글구 포르투칼은 와인이 유명하니까 술 좋아하시는 분들은 와인도 시켜서 드세요. 글라스로 파니까 원하는 거 시켜먹기 좋아요. 저희는 해산물을 시키니까 웨이터가 화이트 와인으로 추천도 해주고 테이스팅도 시켜줬습니다. 혹시 궁금한 와인 있으면 테이스팅 요청해보세요~

What a gem! Incredibly fresh seafood and everything was cooked beautifully. Would recommend the clams and the seafood rice. Price is not super expensive, we paid €76 for dinner for two.

Le lieu avait l'air agréable mais nous n'avons pas pu y manger, en effet le serveur était très désagréable, il nous a vu patienter et est passé une dixaine de fois devant nous sans un bonjour. Quand j'ai enfin réussi à l'intercepter il ne m'as même pas dis bonjour et à juste dis "vous voyez bien que c'est plein on peut rien pour vous" et il s'est tourné et est parti.
Ça ne donne pas envie de perdre du temps chez eux !

Delicious fish and entertaining service. We appreciated the waiter was able to advise on wine and had the patience to do the tasting with us until we found the right wine (Zulmira - highly recommended).

Terrasse et personnel sympas. Coup de coeur pour les noix de St-Jacques magnifiquement préparées. Petit bémol pour la sauce des palourdes fort grasse. Un peu cher mais les produits frais sont irréprochables. Sans doute l'une des meilleures adresses du Time Out.

Really nice food and skilled chefs cook right in front of you if you sit on the bar. Bacalhau A Bras seems famous here and so tasty. Scallops were good too. Very friendly staffs with good wine selections are plus. We did not expect this quality at TimeOut Market after having a bad experience at the restaurant right opposite from this one(Sea Me). Highly recommend!

Comi bacalhau em posta, com ovo mole (inclusive a clara).... eu não estava preparado. Não gostei mesmo, mas me parece culinária local. O garçom que me pareceu dono, apressou muito a gente para pedir e não explicou os pratos direitos. De qualquer forma ele foi muito gentil. Minha recomendação é sempre perguntar em detalhes o que o prato é. Detalhe, o prato foi mais de BR$ 100. Caro.

It is not the typical seafood you would expect. The appetizers are good go with the Octopus and clams both are good. Main dishes were not as expected. Maybe it is just our taste of the food. But for a typical seafood lovers stay away and find other options.

Order the bacalhau à brás. It's essentially a Portuguese fish hashbrown. Fish, potato sticks lightly sautéed, egg, black olives and parsley as well as probably unicorn fairy dust cus this is divine. Absolutely awesome. Friendly service to boot and a large wine list.
