Great friendly and helpful staff, good free breakfast of cereal and milk, rolls jelly and cheese and all the coffee u can drink all day. Clean too. Rachel was very nice too.

One of the best hostels that I've ever been. The staffs (Luciene, Diogo and Valeria) are amazing!!! The atmosphere of the hostel is perfect for backpackers. Without doubt I had good experiences in Lisbon with friends that I met there.

I stayed as a solo traveller and meeting new people was easy. Pub crawl and sangria night was great way to socialise. The. Yielding is beautiful and the rooms are cozy enough. The staff was amazingly friendly. Special thanks to Luciene Ferreira from the staff for helping me and becoming my friend. Awesome people!

Perfect HostelVibe
You get an instant homefeeling and Staff is very caring! Especially Lucy with the Curly Hair Talked with her for like 1.5sek and it feel like siblings hahah!
Whatever you need, they are very helpful!
Nice shower with hotwater, perfect toilets, nice kitchen for cooking and nice hangoutareas. Spacey sleepingrooms aswell

원래 리뷰 안쓰는데 직원분들 모두가 친절하시고 손님 모두한테 이름 물어보면서 외워주시고 체크인 전, 체크아웃 후에도 샤워 맘껏 하라고 하고 편하게 쓰라고 하고 얼리체크인도 심지어 9시에 공짜로 해주시고ㅠㅜ 만날때마다 괜찮은지 물어봐주시고 정말 혼자 여행하면서 친구 사귀고 싶을때, 말동무 필요할때 조아요 근데 시설은 좀 많이 오래됐어요

The crazy Aussie that was only meant to stay for a few nights but ended up falling in love with the place. My first hostel on my euro trip back in may and they treated me like family. The owners are a bunch of legends and the staff were amazing went out of there way to take care of me. I'd love to be a part of the crew one day. Only hostel along my travels that felt like home. My favorite place to stay in Lisbon. It's located in Bairo Alto, surrounded by the best restaurants in town, and near Cais do Sodré, if you want to go somewhere by public tranfer. The rooms are clean and there is a power plug and light at every bed. Breakfast is served and it fits everyone's needs. The staff is great, they are helpful in everyway, when you have problems to get somewhere or searching for a restaurant, if you want recommendation what to visit or want to know where the party starts. They know how to help you. Great to relax also during the day. They also have Computers if you need to work or search the web. WiFi everywhere.

Great location, clean space, and well-equipped kitchen! But that's nothing compared to the staff. Thank you so much to Gonzalo who checked me in, Jaoa who gave me a hug this morning and the AMAZING Lu with her lovely curls and addictive smile who even though was suffering from a bad toothache, constantly checked in on us and shared her good vibes; we had a nice chat about culture, people and life, lovely human! I will be sure to recommend this place to anyone visiting Lisbon!

So nice experience and stay at this hostel. I guess the staff make all the work to make tou feel as more than home. We have felt like we were in holidays with old friends.
Bed are confy, just dont foeget ear plug for noise. Breakfast is nice. Great location! Plus the hostel organise free tour if you are interested. Otherwise they are always here to give you the best advises.
Lou and Valérie are the spirit of this hostel which make it unique. Love you guys. Kisses to Lou ;-) and thank you again for bringing all that crazy group to see Fado!!!

This hostel gives you a feeling of being home. I stayed 4 nights and it is one of the very best of most comfortable hostels I have ever stayed at - and I have traveled the world several times :)
The location is supreme just in the middle of the old town area, the crew is super friendly and helpful, there is many social activities going on at the hostel, and it is very easy to get to talk to people in the common areas. I would recommend it to anyone :)

This hostel is wonderful! They are very accomodating, helpful, and just overall very nice people. The guys at the reception are legends, and they were very cool about guests joining the activities or maybe even staying a night or two! I would highly recommend this hostel for the amazing vibe!

I've stayed at Old Town for a work experience in Lisbon and I was more than amazed by the place. Not only it was 5 min from work, I was 5 min from Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré, which means that it was best strategic location for me. The facilities are great and the staff is keen to help and sort you out with any problems you might have. I DEFINITLY recomend it and hope you enjoy Lisbon during your stay.

I estimate every hostel according to the vibe that is in it.
In OldTown hostel there is incredible atmosphere because of the people who work there. Joao is the friendliest and the most helpful boss ever!
Thus this place attracts the same people. There is always somebody to talk and hang out with. There are even sangria and dinner nights. You should never miss them.
The hostel is very cozy and light. It is very clean and well taken care of.
I have met people who stay here regularly and they are always happy with service.
The location is very comfortable. So you can walk on foot to the main square and lots of sightseeings in the downtown.
You should never miss this place when you are in Lisbon. You will get the best experience ever.

Good place to stay in while you are in Lisbon. Price is around 15 euro. Breakfast is already included in the price. It is close to the main tourist attractions.

Couldn't have asked for a better first experience with a hostel, they defintely set the bar high.
For anyone reading this review, look no further than Lisbon Old Town Hostel. For it would be difficult to beat the overall outstanding quality this hostel offers.
(Cleanliness, sleep quality, safety, vibes, price and location ..10/10!!).
Thank you to each staff member that made our trip extra special, everything from your genuine smiles to your honest tourism advice - you all certainly made it difficult to say goodbye to your lovely hostel and beautiful city.

This was my second experience staying in a hostel. The staff was super nice! I was under the impression there would be many people from all over the world that would be very welcoming. Although during my stay there were only eight American girls who were a little cold. It was not very clean and I did not feel comfortable to sleep under the covers. After the first night I woke up to a bug bite on my foot. I stayed in the girls dorm room and there were 10 beds. To me it was too many people very close together. The room smelled strongly of dirty feet. The reason I stay in hostels is to meet people which did not happen. But this could depend on the time you come to Lisbon. Maybe I came on the off season? I would recommend staying somewhere else.

La ubicación es excelente, lo único a considerar es que está a mitad de una loma, si te cuesta caminar lo vas a sentir. La gente que trabaja es muy amable, tiene desayuno incluido y es bastante completo, lo más llamativo es el tamaño de las habitaciones, la de 4 que es en la que estuve tiene 2 cuchetas re separadas, en otro lugar te hubiesen metido 2 cuchetas más. Los espacios comunes, cocina y demas no son tan grandes pero con el hotel lleno entran todos y cómodos. Posee computadoras con internet y por supuesto wifi. Los baños están bien, aunque son vestuarios tipo gimnasio y me hubiese gustado que sean duchas individuales (por l a privacidad y comodidad) . Por todo lo que dije en relación a su precio accesible merece 5 estrellas.

Excelente atendimento aos clientes além dos preços acessíveis, os quartos são confortáveis e limpos, com roupas de cama cheirosas e agradáveis. O hostel é aconchegante e mantém uma arquitetura de séculos passados, em um estilo barroco, porém com as modernidades deste século, vale a pena conferir e desfrutar, se estiveres em Lisboa e necessitar de um "quantinho" para descansar e repousar com qualidade e preço compatível.....é só chegar.

Was able to make friends here at Old Town. Wonderful value for your money. The staff was all so so nice and helpful. Breakfast and storage locker included. Clean bathrooms and facilities! Free walking tours in the morning. Can’t say enough good things.

I booked only 3 nights in the hostel and I ended up staying one week :) the staff is the best, they welcome you with open arms and make you feel like home, specially Gonzalo and Sara, always so lovely and helpful, they make it hard to leave! The atmosphere is great, you get to know wonderful people from all over the world having breakfast, joining events like taco night or just having a break in the living room. The location is also perfect, you are close to restaurants and bars but it's still quiet when you want to sleep. No doubt I'll be back next time I'm in Lisbon :D

Excellent hostel, I slept 6 nights from New Year's Eve to 06/01/2018. Hostel welcomed me with open arms and included me in their festivities as though I were one of the family with food and drink aplenty, when I arrived on the evening of 31/12/2017. Daily breakfast was simple bread, cheese, tea/coffee and fruit. I could not recommend the hostel more highly than others have before me, it's the only place I would stay in Lisbon, it's that good!

Good location near the old town.
However, Rooms are not in a good condition and without air conditioning.
The staff are helpful and nice ( Sarah & David).
The breakfast is nice also.
The cleanest is medium in the shower.

Excellent and friendly staff that goes above and beyond for such an affordable place in a great area. Free breakfast everyday until noon or so and occasionally free group dinners as well. Very chill atmosphere. On the smaller side so you get more of a cozy feel. But the high capacity rooms are really large. Service is great, location is great, price is great, beds are pretty comfortable. What's not to love?

Great hostel with such good vibes. Clean room and bathroom and they provide a basic breakfast all day.
Sarah was so helpful and always so cheerful and made me feel welcomed.
They do activities in the evening but I was there for a short time so didn’t get to take part. There’s also a great walking tour that pick you up from the hostel.

I left a piece of my heart and soul at #LisbonOldTown. Nothing like my first and last night, crashing in the sofa thanks to the Joao's!!! The hostel makes you feel welcomed and part of the family. They truly care for your well-being. Good vibes surround this place... breakfast and endless wine nights too LoL. Dont miss the different activities like the Free, I repeat FREE WALKING TOURS. Give this place a chance. Met so many beautiful human beings in here Joao the black belt, Gem NewZ Kingdom, Italian princess, Alex from #ElCheHostel in Mexico, Joao the boss man, Ela.. her name is on the tip of my tongue but her glasses and sweet voice make it happen haha and my favorite Little Viking! Ho fatto la stagista per un mese in quest’ostello e devo dire di essermi sentita a casa. Appena arrivata avevo un’ansia tremenda di chi avrei potuto incontrare. Potevo trovare un capo rigido, un capo con cui non andavo d’accordo o insomma potevano esserci molti altri problemi lavorando in un paese estero, però non è andata così. Mi sono ritrovata in un posto favoloso, con un’accoglienza spettacolare da parte di Georgie, João e Gonzalo e ho avuto la fortuna di conoscere il capo Josè e le due carinissime Lena e Giselle (non so come si scrive scusami). In quest’ostello sono tutti così solari, vivaci e sorridenti che anche solo a guardali ti mettono di buon umore. Sono sempre tutti molto disponibili ad aiutarti o anche solo a fare due chiacchiere e la simpatia, ma allo stesso tempo la serietà, non mancano mai. Il paesino dove si trova l’ostello è molto bello e la vista davanti ad esso spettacolare. Riguardo al cibo, io ho avuto modo di preparare la colazione e quindi di notare che la preparano con una certa cura e che gli ingredienti eccetera sono tutti di ottima qualità. Riguardo la pulizia è un ostello molto pulito, tenuto bene dove si vede che l’ospite è messo davvero al primissimo posto. Inoltre il prezzo è accessibile a tutti, lo consiglio vivamente !!

This is a great place to stay!! It's family-run and with a really cosy atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and took the time to help me plan my day, recommended events and restaurants. They have breakfast until late and everything you need to prepare your own dinner. The house has a nice flair and is right next to the Barrio Alto. Am already looking forward to my next stay there!

L’Hostel est à proximité de cais de sodré, gare qui donne accès aux bateaux et aux trains. La gare du rossio est toute proche. Le bairro alto est tout près pour experimenter le dynamisme des bars et restaurants : »noite ainda e uma criança ». Remarquables architectures à proximité. Je recommande pour un séjour de qualité.

Supergoede vijf nachten gehad hier. Alle gasten (die van over de hele wereld komen) staan open voor een praatje of een avontuur door de stad. De werknemers zijn enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam en staan letterlijk dag en nacht voor je klaar. Ik heb alle nachten aan een stuk door geslapen, al lagen we met z'n zessen op een kamer. 's Ochtends staat er altijd een prima ontbijtje voor je klaar, bestaande uit cereals, broodjes en sap, waarvan je overigens ook je lunch kunt klaarmaken. Ik denk dat ik gedurende mijn verblijf in Portugal een tijdje als vrijwilliger ga werken bij dit hostel.

El personal es encantador, las habitaciones y los cuartos de baño limpios (y equipados con secador del pelo). Desayuno gratis (leche, café, té, diferentes tostadas con una mermelada casera riquísima). Buena ubicación cercana al centro, al final de una calle con mucha cuesta (como casi todas en Lisboa). Totalmente recomendable.

I am surprised about the good reviews the hostel has got. We tried out 3 different hostels in lisbon and this was definitely not the best one.. some of the staff wasn't even that friendly, the breakfast was pretty poor, the door of the room wouldn't close properly, the room equipment could have been better, no curtains, for a couple staying in a double room annnoying that the two Beds didn't stay next to each other as the gap between them grew every night.. Overall ok but not worth a 9.3...

This was the best hostel I have stayed in, thanks to the WONDERFUL staff who work there. Such a lovely bunch of people that make it a really positive relaxed atmosphere. Une lieu pittoresque et chaleureux où j'ai passé un agréable moment !
L'auberge est très bien située à proximité du métro et des principaux sites touristiques de la ville.
Le personnel est sympathique, accueillant, disponible et a su répondre à toutes nos questions pour que notre séjour se passe dans les meilleures conditions possibles.
Les dortoirs sont très spacieux et les lits sont confortables.
Le petit-déjeuner est une merveille avec un large choix de produits proposés.
Des visites sont également organisées par l'intermédiaire de l'auberge, ce qui est un plus apréciable !
Une auberge de jeunesse que je recommande fortement !

I stayed one week in this hostel with my sister. It is well located in the old town (as the name already says). You can reach everything within a few minutes - supermarkets, public transport, a nive viewing point, the night zone - but still, it is located in a very calm street, next to the main street. The room we stayed in was huge, the beds were ok.
As it was low season, it wasn't that crowded but still we met a lot of nice people. Specially the stuff is really lovely. They care about there guests, help you with everything you need and one evening we got a huge free dinner - which was nice to get to know the other guests :-) Thank's for the nice stay!

Un lugar perfecto en cuanto a calidad precio, a lo que hay que añadirle una ubicación excepcional, cerca de todos los lugares de interés turístico de Lisboa y con todo tipo de conexiones a muy poco tiempo, desde líneas de metro, autobuses, estación principal de tren (Cais do Sodre)a los tranvías más demandados por los turistas. Pero a parte de todo esto, nos encontramos un personal encargado del servicio encantadores todos ellos, Joao, María, Gonzalo,etc siempre atentos a cualquier situación en la que pudiesen ayudarte. Inmejorables todos ellos.Desayunos muy ricos y habitaciones y baños muy confortables. La zona de Chiado-Barrio Alto donde se ubica tiene mucha vida,bares, pubs, restaurantes, tiendas, perfecto para acudir tanto con amigos como con familia. Por la noche se puede dormir con toda garantía y sin duda es un lugar donde poner en práctica tus idiomas, ya que hay clientes de todas las nacionalidades con los que compartir ratos tanto en la sala de estar como en la zona de cocina. Un 10 para el Lisbon Old Town Hostel. Magnífico trato, siempre con una sonrisa en la cara y un buen rollo que difícilmente encontraréis en otro lugar.

From the moment you step into Lisbon Old Town Hostel you will feel welcome! João and his small team go out of their way to make you feel at home, to find out what you plan to do and give you a locals view on what's best (& what to avoid!). The hostel is up on all the essentials... it is clean, people are friendly and it is very well run. They give you a good breakfast, and once a week mix up some Sangria to go with a surprise meal
I started my Camino Portuguesa with João and his team at Old Town Hostel in May.
He guided me on where to spend time on this challenging route and his advice was gold! After my Camino to Santiago I returned to stay with him and was no less impressed. He is consistently enthusiastic, helpful and thoughtful.
I'm pleased to be returning to Lisbon in August.
And guess where I'll stay??

Fabuleux! L'auberge est très bien située, au centre, facilement reliée au métro. Le personnel est très chaleureux et disponible. Tout est propre, accueillant. Nous y étions avec une classe de 20 élèves. C'était parfait! Je recommande vivement le Lisbon Old Town Hostel!

Lisbonoldtownhostel est sans aucun doutes un des meilleur endroit où aller pour dormir à Lisbonne. L'accueil est amicale, l'ambiance chaleureuse et on y dors bien!
Les hôtes m'ont spontanements donnés de très bons conseils pour visiter la ville. Il y a libre accès à 2 cuisines et 2 salons dans lesquels on peut facilement sympathiser avec les autres voyageurs. L'hôtel est dans le centre mais dans une rue où il n'y a presque pas de circulation (petite rue à sens unique).
N'hésitez pas à réserver, c'est juste parfait!

Estuve dudando entre varios hostels cuando planeaba mi visita a Lisboa y al final me decanté por este. Más que nada me atrajo lo desenfadado, lo chulo que se veía y por las opiniones de los huespedes. Y la verdad es que acerté.
El hostel está ubicado en el Bairro Alto que está junto al de Chiado y a tiro de piedra de Baixa. También en el barrio hay muchos garitos de copas pero es muy tranquilo.
El hostel tiene varios dormitorios con literas (de 4 a 10 camas, uno solo femenino) una habitación doble ensuite (baño privado, un salon, otro salon-comedor, un gran cocina y las duchas (una masculina y otra femenina). Es muy acogedor y comodo tras pasar un dia pateando o en la playa llegar darte una ducha y prepararte algo de comer, ponerte a ver internet o sentarte a leer alguno de sus libros. Ah, también tienen un surtido de juegos de mesa, por si te apetece.
Es un hostel barato que incluye el desayuno en el precio por noche.
Os recomiendo, si os interesais en ir al hostel o simplemente a Lisboa, que echeis in ojo a la sección de Actividades de la web del hostel, hay cosas tan chulas como los tour de los tipos de Wild Walkers (totalmente recomendables).
En conclusión, una buenísima y barata forma de alojarse en Lisboa. Yo repetiré.

No servía el elevador pero el personal fue muy amable y atento, la cocina muy completa y las salas son muy cómodas, la limpieza no es la mejor, se puede mejorar un poco más, pero en general bien

Separate bathrooms for Men And Women. Great atmosphere. Friendly and helpful personal staff. Breakfast is ok.

とても素敵な時間を過ごしました。
フロントスタッフがとても親切で、わかりやすい英語を使ってくれるので助かりました。
他の宿泊客とのコミュニケーションも楽しく、夜は共有スペースでサングリアパーティしていました。
欠点としては宿までの坂道を大きいスーツケースを持って運ぶのは、かなりしんどかったです。
とてもホスピタリティの高い宿です。

Удачное местоположение, очень приветливый персонал. Сильная слышимость. В самом хостеле ночью тихо, за этим следят, но слышно вой и крики на улице. Не удобные ванны с плесенью и ржавчиной. На завтрак булка хлопья и джем.

My stay in Old Town hostel was great!! The service was very good and the staff was pleasant and helpfull. the rooms, toilets and showers were clean and comfortable. The location in the town is good. I highly recomend!

Amazing place ! ..Really well located in a quiet and charming litle street but near to bar, restaurant, night life.The room is very large and clean, full kitchen to cook, welcome vibe in a friendly enviroment .. Totally recomend Old Town hostel to stay and enjoy the beautiful Lisbon.

Very cool hostel, the dorm rooms are big and the price is cheap. The hostel itself feels friendly and the staff was always helpful and polite. I would go there again. It is also close to the city center, just 15-25 minutes walk and you are almost everywhere.
