Brilliant bifanas and don't forget to wash it down with a nice cold beer! I don't eat meat (normally) and drink wine rather than beer but... when in Portugal, do as the Portuguese do...!! Obrigado!

Bifana gustosa y rica. Ves como preparan el cerdo al momento. Sitio muy económico. Una bifana y dos cervezas por solo 4.80€. La sopa no la probamos pero tenía una pinta y un olor maravilloso. Algo que dejamos para la próxima visita.

Ein absolutes Muss, um ein Bifana von einem Local's zu probieren. Es ist meiner Meinung nach das beste Lokal, wo man für einen schmalen Taler ein Imbiss genießen kann. Die beiden Mitarbeiter hinter dem Tresen haben alles im Griff. Frisch zubereitet wird das gegarte Schweinefleisch in einem Brötchen gereicht. Das zarte Fleisch schmeckt am besten, wie es die Einheimischen Speisen, mit Senf. Selbst ein frisch gezapftes Bier kann man sorglos dort trinken. Bifana kostet hier 2,20 Euro. Für das kleine Bier zählt man 1 Euro.

Hands down this is one of the best deals in town for a quick tasty bite. The sandwiches they provide are made in front of you. Keep in mind the restaurant is really small (approximately 50-60 sqft) so it is best you order and just eat outside in the plaza. There is a small standing area but it probably only hold 4 people max. The bifana is the staple pork sandwich and it is full of flavor and costs just over 2€. Lastly the owner also speaks English, well enough to understand you and communicate with you. Great spot!

La Bifana il tipico panino con la fettina di lonza di maiale è qui eccezionale. Si trovano anche dei buoni fritti di fagiolini, baccalà e altre cose. Anche le zuppe servite al giorno sono buone. Molto conveniente.

Locale molto caratteristico, ci sono molti portoghesi. Si mangia in piedi questo panino pieno di carne (straccetti) cotta con olio e vino locale. Molto buono, non ho provato altro. Nota negativa: cibo e soldi con la stessa mano senza guanti.

Este conocido bocadillo portugués a base de cerdo en salsa con muchos ajos, algo de grasa, cerveza, vino y especias es una auténtica delicia. El pan va impregnandose de la salsa y cada bocado es mejor que el anterior. Es uno de los sitios más conocidos pero el hombre sigue siendo natural y agradable. Nos ha invitado a unos vinos y nos ha explicado el proceso de elaboración de las famosas bifanas.

Estupendas! Las mejores de Portugal! Probé en Porto y otros sitios y su salsa es el secreto...
ademas tienen otras "exquisitas" especialidades portuguesas de bacalao pescado distintos tipos de "presunto", embutidos etc.. comida rapida pero tipicamente tradicional a precios que ojala duren. Muy bien por muy poco.

Subir por los elevadores con algo de hambre después de haber pateado toda la mañana Lisboa y encontrarnos de frente con la mejor bifana que he probado Portugal no tiene precio, Bienservida y cocinada delante de tus narices es un vasito pequeño para comer apretado pero nos cargo las pilas para todo el día y a muy buen precio.

Best place to eat bifanas in Lisbon. The bifanas are awsome and for only the price of 2€, its a bargain. The owner is super nice and you'll find lots of locals here. The place is a bit tight and the working hours are a bit strange, but the bifanas are totally worth it.

A hidden place in the high city of Lisbon where you can eat a Bifiana (that is a sandwich with meat and cheese) for about 3€, and it is extremely delicious after hours of walking visiting monuments and viewpoints.
The place is small, so the best plan is asking a Bifana for taking away and ear it while you're heading back to the apartment or enjoy it travelling in a tram.
Looks like a familiar restaurant which has kept the essence and tradition that makes Lisbon unique.

Small snack bar in middle of downtown with the best bifanas in Lisbon by far.
Bifana is a traditional Portuguese sandwich. It is prepared with a bread roll and very thin marinated pork cutlets, on which the cooking juices are drizzle.
You definitely have to give a try in your visit to Lisbon and what better than in this amazing place that for just 2.50€ you are not gonna regret!

Amazing, authentic, and inexpensive place for a quick lunch. Bifana sandwiches were incredible. You can take the plates outside in the plaza too for a very nice experience. Really worth going for a great lunch that doesn’t take up too much of your day.

I tried 3 different bifana places and can definitely say this was the best. The difference is in the bread. The bread is much better here, also liked the mustard and spicy sauce were the best. When I went there it was around 12pm and I was expecting a long line, but to my surprise there were not many people, the place is very small so it was still full but the service was very fast and friendly. Definetly recomended.

ビファナを食べてみたかったので、行ってみました。
煮込まれた豚肉は柔らかく、味も染み込んでいて美味しかったです！
マスタードと赤いソース(つけてないのでどんな味かは分かりません)はセルフでつけられます。
わたしは辛いものが苦手なので、最初はマスタードを控えめにつけたのですが、思ったより全然辛くなかったし、豚肉と味がとっても合うので後から追加でかけました。笑
お金は食べ終わってからお皿を返す時に払いました。１つ2.5€でした。
わたしが行った時は少し混んでいだけど、食べ終わったらすぐに出ていくようなお店だったので、すぐに注文できました。注文は英語でも大丈夫でした。

I really loved this place. Very unexpensive, especially compared to the places around the area. There isn't much space inside, maybe 5 people can fit comfortable and you cannot sit down but it doesn't matter after you take a bite in their food. Extremly delicious. Totally recommend.

Great local shop. The best bifani I had in Lisbon ( I tried out several places!) I ended up stopping back in 3 times!! Small shop but the queue moves quick. They end up fitting 8 people in there to chow down standing up with a beer or soda. Great prices as well.

Riquísimas bifanas, estaba en un hotel cercano por lo que las pedía para llevar. El local es muy pequeño, por lo que las mejores opciones son pedirlas para llevar, comerlas en la placita de en frente o evitar ir justo a la hora de la comida. Son rápidos y es barato. Merece la pena pasar y aconsejo añadir queso.

Bocadillo de cerdo marinado con vino blanco. Buenísimo tanto solo como con queso. Si no quieres entrar a un restaurante y sentarte, sitio perfecto.

Ci siamo fermati per provare la bifana, attirati dalle ottime recensioni. Si tratta di un panino con carne di vitello magrissimo. È ottimo e super economico (due bifane e due birre 7 euro) ed è ottimo per un pranzo veloce. Il posto è minuscolo e si mangia in piedi. Piccola chicca: in un angolino c'è un lavandino con sapone e carta asciugamani. Da provare. Ottimo.

Hier werden Bifanas frisch vor den Augen der Kunden zubereitet. Entweder man isst in dem wirklich winzigen
Laden oder draußen. Dazu gibt es Bier vom Fass. Leider ist der Laden oft überlaufen, sodass man lange anstehen muss.

Buen sitio para comer unas bifanas, precio asequible. No pienses encontrar sitio en el local, es muy pequeño y carece de mesas. El trato recibido muy bueno. Repetiremos

Vale la comida de este local es impresionante. El bocadillo de carne de cerdo en salsa es una danza para las papilas gustativas. Lo único malo es el local que es enano. Por lo demás la comida es una obra maestra. Sabiendo que vamos a comer para llevar sobretodo y que es comida barata (osea que no esperemos cosas rollo, sobre un lecho de...). Es un sitio para comerte unos bocadillos extraordinarios.

Restaurant typique, la spécialité, les bifanas sont fait devant vous en continu et très peu chère. Pas de place assise et local très petit, mais un immanquable tant cela représente l'esprit de la ville.

You simply must go here. Order a bifana and vinho verde (essentially cheap champagne) and carry it outside to the octagon benches. Return with the dishes and keep the vinho coming while you people-watch for hours. You'll spend five dollars at most.
This place was our sanctuary.

Vimos una cola de currelas locales a la hora de comer y nos pusimos. Bocadillos y fritos tradicionales portugueses a un precio inmejorable. El local es pequeño e igual no invita a entrar pero la experiencia culinaria es muy buena.

The very first time that I tried Bifana was in the north of Portugal, in Porto and I totally felt in love with it, it was so cheap just 1.20€ and healthy since its not fried, and so when I came to Lisbon I wanted to taste it again but It wasn't the same. They said that Afonso had the perfect bifana but I didnt think so. But It was good too with 2 euros, the original local place, small and cozy, but it's not appropriate for anyone who finds somewhere to stay. It's better for taking away.

Loved everything about this sandwich. The place is very small and it's more of a grab and go style but the flavors are all there and you can't ask for a better sandwich for that price point. Highly recommended.

Have been traveling around Portugal for the last 2 weeks and haven't found any bifanas that have been better. These are the best, ridiculously cheap and great service. 3€ for a bifana and a beer...doesn't get better than that.

Although pretty small, this place hides one of the highlights of my culinary trip in Lisboa. They prepare typical portuguese sandwiches named bifanas, and it is to die for. It is ridiculously cheap, so do not hesitate to hop in for a sandwich and a beer to take away while you roam the streets.

Unbelievable bifana. They have a few other options as well. €2 a sandwich. Soup is €1. Very small place that can get very crowded. Quick meal and takeout is easy.

Bifanas are great here, it's not fancy at all, just a local hole in the wall. I stepped inside because I saw all the tuk tuk drivers and other locals eating here. Very cheap and simple.

Easily, without question the best Bifana you can get. The family has been doing the same thing for years. They're fresh and super tasty - definitely recommend adding mayo & chilli to it.

Locals shop which should be the #1 recommended place to visit in Lisbon. Bifinas made the traditional Portuguese way. This is the only place my wife and I go to get real Portuguese food. Surprised the travel channel hasn't found them as the must-go place to eat. Certainly the best kept secret in Lisbon!
