This place offers an awesome steak tenderloin and it only costs 18 euros!!! Comes with your choice of sauce and literally a frier basket full of fries. Chocolate cake for dessert is pretty delicious and beers are big. Go to Gayola for quality service and food! It was so sad that there were no customers at all in this wonderful place. Save them and eat here!

The bar was really nice. Good bear and really good cocktails. The burgers were really good and we enjoyed them really much. The steaks looked really good as well. The service is really friendly and is being really helpfull. We looked the champions league finale there and after that there was some good music. There was a good atmosphere al the time. Everything is clean and its a little bit retro styled. We enjoyed our stay

One of the worst steakhouse experiences I've ever had. As soon as we entered, we were overwhelmed by the smell of urine. However we still wanted to give the place a chance as the reviews on Google and TripAdvisor were pretty good. Looking around, the interior design was lacking, everything looked unclean, run-down and nothing really fit together. It more or less seemed like an out-of-business pizzeria. Still, I thought there will be more than enough reasons to explain the good ratings. We (me with a group of colleagues) were the only ones there. An older gentleman served us, his presumable wife was in the kitchen. He was quite nice, but communicating was tough as he did not seem to speak English, which is fine of course as we were still able to order and get what we wanted. One colleague wanted to check if his order was gluten free (due to celiac's), which after overcoming some language barriers seemed to be fine. Unfortunately, as soon as we got our drinks we started to become shocked by how low the quality actually is in there. The glasses for our drinks were dirty, but most of us did not mind so we did not try to make a huge thing out of it, as two other guests just arrived at the same time. We also got free olives as starters, which were pretty good. About an hour later the waiter brought out cutlery and napkins (one of which was already dirty, it had some sauce on it). At that point I did not really mind anymore as I just wanted to eat and see how much more weird this can get. Of course this is not the best approach on my part, but I guess I shouldn't have to tell a waiter that at least getting clean items should be a bare minimum. He even very clearly saw the dirt on the napkin but was not phased by it. I guess it was part of the experience. About half an hour later our meals arrived at about the same time, which was nice. Some of us had the bacon cheese burger, the others had the sirloin steak. Our expected French fries were instead homemade potato chips, which was surprising but in a positive way. Looking back at pictures of other reviews, I should have expected that, so that's fine, just a heads up there. The burgers looked very dry, the salad inside was dried up. They tasted as dry as they looked. The chips were also very dry and chewy, I guess they were already a bit older. The steaks (which were served with actual French fries) looked good, which they were according to the other colleagues. After a few bites one of the colleagues who also got a burger stopped eating, as his burger tasted funny and had some green coloring in it. I did not want to verify that as to not lose my appetite, I just wanted to have something in my stomach. My burger seemed fine apart from the dryness. Still, it was not a good eat. When we were done the waiter offered dessert (chocolate mousse), but we declined and ordered the bill. Paying worked out fine (we payed separately, which apparently is uncommon in Portugal), but he did not mind and obliged. It was still funny how he walked to the cash register, printed out a single receipt, walked back, took the money, walked to the cash register, walked back to ask what the next one had and repeated this process until everyone payed. That doesn't have to be this complicated, even if they are not used to separate bills. We left and looked for a bar to wash down this whole experience. Just to note, it was surprisingly expensive, so be prepared to pay more than it should cost. Verdict: In general a very bad experience, unclean and sometimes outright disgusting. The waiter was nice and tried to cater to our wishes despite the language barrier. Low quality but high prices. I guess if you don't mind all of that and want a decent steak then you could check this for yourself to see if you get your money's worth. However I would recommend to everyone else to stay away from this joint.

Ich hatte ein sehr leckeres "Bife de Vazia". Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und gab auch Informationen zu den Gerichten. Gayola ist definitiv einen Besuch Wert.

Sarò sincero, questo localino è SUPERLATIVO. Conduzione familiare, preparano degli Hamburger superbuoni. Situato in zona di passaggio ma difficile da individuare, l'aspetto semplice e minimal non deve ingannare. Qui ho mangiato il migliore panino imbottito della città di Lisbona. Inoltre ti servono un cestello di patate fritte davvero ben cotto e ben servito. Il prezzi sono davvero la ciliegina finale. Ovviamente non è un locale per chi cerca il localino fighettino, ma è un locale per chi preferisce la semplicità alla raffinatezza. Se avessi potuto avrei votato più di 5.

Locale "figo", molto bello l'interno, qualità della carne più che ottima, ottimo vino, attima professionalità da parte dei proprietari e dal personale, non parlano inglese ma ci si fa capire, consigliato se si ha voglia di un'ottima bistecca o un buon hamburger, se c'è prendere assolutamente la torta al cioccolato come dessert, buonissima!

Kedves kiszolgálás, barátságos helyszín. Az asztalok koszosak, az előző vendégek pohár és étellenyomatai ott vannak az asztalokon. A hamburger finom, de hiányzik belőle a zöldség (paradicsom, hagyma) és bármilyen szósz, enélkül összességében száraz.

Amazing steak bar in lovely area of Lisbon. Owner was very attentive in every aspect of service - he turned on AC as I was sweating from all the hills, I had to climb that late evening when we sat down. Me and my 3 friends ordered starters which where recommend by Gayola - delicious fried sausages, and we all had steak for mains - all cooked to perfection; mine was medium rare and indeed it was how I ordered it. The owner is true master of his trade. Would definitely recommend to everyone and hopefully will eat and drink there one day again! Obrigado

Servizio impeccabile gentilissimo e ben educato,molto servizievole. Cibo molto buono metodologia di presentazione molto simpatica come lo stile delle patatine nel cestino della friggitura aromatizzate con origano; hamburger e pollo buoni. Il posto è molto sull'antico con uno stile un po' strano per certe persone ma comunque bello. Abbiamo speso neanche 50€ in tre persone .

Cooles und sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Wir waren zuerst etwas skeptisch aber das Essen, die Athmosphäre und der Service haben uns überzeugt. Speisekarte ist allerdings ziemlich klein. Zum Schluss wurde uns kostenlos selbstgebrannter Kirsch-Liqör angeboten.

Everything is how it should be! Nice interieur. Staff friendly and charming, took the time to explain and translate us almost anything on the menu. Virgin Cocktails weren't on the menu, but they improvised and the Virgin mojito was really good. And the food didn't disappoint either. Excellent meat! All in one a good experience. Wish we had some more time to enjoy the place.the
