The staff is incredibly friendly. The facilities are amazing, and overall it's very clean. I also like the location since it's not in a heavily touristic area but to a walking distance from it. It's also close to the metro station and supermarket is less than 4 minutes walking. I would totally stay here again.

I’ve tried all the key hostels in Lisbon... Yes! and Gspot and I was hesitant to try this place due to the fact that it is new and might not have vibes yet. Was I wrong... met so many amazing people here and one soulmate on my first night. The place itself is new and very clean... and the property has amenities no other place has, like a huge garden. This place accommodates 130 people. At this moment the price is the best... paid around €15 per night. Not sure if the price will stay low after it’s more established. It also has amazing wifi and great happy hour prices at bar... from 7:30 to 8:30. The bartender Francesco is amazing... he makes killer cocktails and one of the best mojitos I’ve had in a long time. Also one of the staff members named Alex was extremely friendly and pleasant to make the environment more welcoming. The beds are very comfortable but they need privacy curtains. The shower has good hot water and water pressure, but you have to press on button every 27 seconds to keep the water running. I don’t like that. I also don’t like the design of the bathroom and shower... it wasn’t well thought. If you are on first floor... the room doesn’t have AC, which makes you open the windows and lead to noise pollution. They have dinner night for €5 per person which is a great deal. The breakfast is free and very basic.

DO NOT TRUST THE REVIEWS ON HOSTELWORLD! The staff sits down with the visitors and pressure you to give them the highest score in the survey!! In all truth however, this is not a bad hostel. Facilities are good and the building is beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. They also have an amazing garden. Downsides are the breakfast which only offers cake and sweet spreads, the hostel is extremely loud because of the bar, and there is no relaxing place to hang out after the garden is closed. Some of the hostel staff were rude to the cleaning staff, and they also hit on the customers. I got hit on by one of the staff despite being there with my partner.

Good spot. In an incredible area far from most of the tourists. Crowd at the Hostel is really cool. Not too pretentious but also not too trashy. The building and courtyard are gorgeous. Some other guests felt it was a loud area, but most of Lisbon is pretty busy and loud, and this spot is pretty quiet compared with the Barrio Alto area. The staff are really accommodating and genuinely care about your experience of Lisbon. Shout out to Tato, Raquel and Chris for being especially super rad hosts.

Everything about this hostel is amazing: good location, good prices, an awesome kitchen and nice bedrooms. But the best part is definitely the garden and the Staff. Vitor is one of the nicest guys on earth, Renata received me really well on the reception, Rodrigo is super gentle and welcoming, Alex makes everyone feel home and Fran is one of my favorite people in the whole world. I’ll definitely come back as many times as possible!

I gave this evaluation because my first time in a hostel, in THIS hostel, was indescribable, in a positive sense of course. I have to thank all the staff but in particular Alex, Tato, Ricardo and Vitor. They have shown a particular professionalism, and at the same humanity that make themselves feel closer to the personal needs of each one! The common areas and rooms I can only say that they are treated in detail and clean. I invite everyone to spend some time in the garden!!!

The hostel was great and the gardens were so nice. The breakfast was also great, best hostel breakfast Ive had.

It was a really really nice stay! The breakfast from vitor was yummy and with a lot of different things! The beds were soo comfortable and the bathrooms always clean! In the Morning Alex and Vitor will entertain you with their Ukulele and harmonika and May have some jam sessions in the afternoon :) the staff does their best to make it feel like home from the beginning! Tato is also awesome :)

Sant Jordi is a great hostel, very pretty and pleasant to stay in. Staff is very friendly and Tato gave us all the tips and attention we needed. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are very cute. The bar has a really nice atmosphere and the garden is basically the best part of this staying, I just wanted to stay outside all day. If there’s one thing I would change is to instal air con in the bedrooms and at the bar, because it can get very warm. Overall, our stay was absolutely perfect.

This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in in the last seven years of travelling! The staff is just awesome, especially the nice dinner we had here with Alex Vitor and tato :) the vibe is really homey, the music night (they just got some street musician to play a concert in the beautiful garden) was incredible! The bathrooms were clean, the kitchen is pretty much a professional kitchen! At breakfast the guys are jamming with ukulele, harminoka and a big smile on their face to get you started for the day in this beautiful city ❤️ stop scrolling and book this place, totally worth it!!!

Bonito, limpo, simples, acessível e completo. Tem chuveiros fortes com regulação de temperatura e vestiário. Camas robustas e simples de montar. Há espaços suficientes para guardar bens com aloquete e pode-se usar a cozinha para cozinhar recheada de utensílios, com armários e frigoríficos onde pode guardar comida. Muito boa a experiência e recomendo muito!

Sant Jordi for the most part is a really pretty hostel with a amazing garden and a cool bar. It’s biggest letdown is that the bathrooms almost never seem to be cleaned.. constantly out of toilet paper and just so dirty - the same pieces of rubbish were there for three days. I surely think that the bare minimum for cleaning bathrooms in a hostel should be once a day - actually just gross. Good breakfast .. staff not super friendly.

Accueil super par équipe sympathique. Problème de chambre avec 2 lits simples au lieu d un lit double. Mais ont trouvé solution chambre double sur jardin.Un peu bruyant car les voix et claquements de porte résonnent dans le hall. Situation très proche du métro anjos donc ideal pour visiter Lisbonne. Jardin super pour la détente après journée en ville. Petit déjeuner gratuit et sympa. Très bon rapport qualité prix

Just the best welcoming hostel i’ve experienced so far! I was check in by Rodrigo and Tato, and made straight away 2 friends at the hostel! Felt really welcomed by the staff! Rodrigo brought me around the city to check some cool spot and try the famous Bifanas, that were amazing! Totally recommend Sant Jordi! Cheers guys!

Llegué cerca de medianoche así que no lo disfrute mucho, pero mi impresión general fue bastante buena. Literas cómodas con enchufe y lámpara. Incluía desayuno tipo buffet con lo suficiente para coger energías para la mañana. Todo ello a muy buen precio

One of the most awesome hostels I've ever stayed. Great choice for a lone traveler, there you can definitely find the people to hang out with. They have a nice bar, fancy interior, lovely garden, tasty breakfast, daily dinners and super friendly staff, also location is remarkable. Really appreciate Tato, the staff member, who was extremely nice and helpful. With him and the other guys it felt like visiting friends rather than booking an accommodation. Will come again for sure

Logo de cara eu percebi que o Sant Jordi tinha sido a escolha certa pra começar minha viagem. O lugar é lindo, tem um jardim incrível, mas o que mais gostei foi o atendimento da equipe. Fui recebida pelo Tato, que já me deu um monte de dicas do que fazer e junto com o restante do staff faz com que as noites dentro do hostel sejam super divertidas. 꼭 다시 묵고 싶은 호스텔! 주방이 너무 좋았다 거기에 뒤편 정원에서 먹는 음식은 정말 여기가 15000짜리 호스텔이 맞는가? 아니 호텔 아닌가 싶을 정도의 착각을...큭 단, 잘 때 죽으러 관 안에 들어가는 듯한 느낌만 뺀다면... ㅎㅎ

Es un excelente hostel!! Espacioso, buenos y mucha cantidad de baños, duchas. Habitaciones grandes, buenos lugares donde dejar las cosas.Lo malo: está lejos del centro, bien conectado pero ha cuadras de la estación del metro y del centro es media hora caminando!La primera noche me picó algo y estuvieron bien predispuesto s a solucionar el tema, cambiando de cama y lavando la ropa.

O atendimento do Tato na recepção foi muito bom! Ele passou varias dicas boas pela cidade e gostei muito dos passeios recomendados. O bar do hostel tinha bebidas muito gostosas o Fran eh um ótimo barmen.

O melhor de tudo é o staff e em especial o Tato. Volto pra Portugal na próxima semana e com certeza volto pro Hostel!

Fiz uma viagem de 60 dias pela Europa e o Sant Jordi foi o último dos 15 hostels que fiquei, fui surpreendida com o melhor hostel que fiquei nessa viagem. Logo no atendimento fui super bem recebida pelo Tato e ele até fez um “roteiro” para os 4 dias que fiquei. O hostel têm um Jardim incrível, eles fazem um jantar muito bom e assim pude conhecer muitas pessoas. Se vc está viajando sozinha esse é o hostel. Atmosphere ótima, cama maravilha e fora o estabelecimento que é lindo. Indico e volto com certeza.

Recomendado 100%. Buena ubicación, limpieza, jardín acogedor y staff increíble. Para repetir sin duda!!

Recomendable al 100% , igual que todos los hostels de Sant Jordi. He tenido la posibilidad de alojarme en varios y tanto sus instalaciones como su equipo son de lo mejor que puedes encontrar.

En general el hostel está muy bueno, es un antiguo convento de monjas por lo que el edificio es muy grande, con un excelente patio donde se puede disfrutar al aire libre. El desayuno es muy completo. Las habitaciones estan muy bien, salvo por la almohada que es un poco incomoda y percance que tuve con una pareja de irrespetuosos teniendo sexo a las 3am en la cama de arriba; pero esto no le resta puntos a la habitación. Le faltaría sólo una sala común donde sentarse a leer un libro, porque sólo cuenta con un bar y el comedor, pero debería tener una zona con sofás o puffs para que la gente no se tenga que ir a la habitación para estar cómoda. El staff muy bien, menciones especiales para mi amigo Norbi, Fran el bartender, Ricardo de la recepción. Gracias por todo y nos vemos a la vuelta.

This hostel is really great and so cheap if you’re on a Budget. It was a very nice facility, the staff was super friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay there again if I end up back in Lisbon. Highly recommend. I also love that they do dinner night where you can meet other people staying in the hostel. Really great experience and Fran the bartender was awesome! He also cooked our delicious dinner.

Quartos lindos, muitos banheiros, quintal maravilhoso, todos os membros da staff sao muito competentes e muito legais. A comida servida é de otima qualidade e o chef é muito legal!

The welcome, the kitchen, the garden, and even the bed situation without curtains is very good. Showers left right and center. But most of all the staff members are doing a great job. The location is good. So many shops left and right, in any direction.The beds are really comfortable. Who ever doesnt feel good here hasnt travelled much...In any hostel you travel to, never forget your ear plugs to have a silent night.

What Can I say about the Sant Jordi Hostel? Since I came trough the door I was welcomeing, The reception was so friendly and helped with all the question (which was a lot). To be at a building from 1930 was also a nice experience, the rooms where nice and clean the have a incredible garden and the best pont is the atmosphere from the hostel, you can meet a lot of people from all over the world, the bar is a nice way to start the night, Fran the bartender is a very funny guy who's ready to make your night on.

This is one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. The staff was helpful, attentive, and english speaking. I made some amazing new friends, and the architecture in this building is incredible. The ceiling in my room made me feel like a king. I'm definitely coming back to this hostel when I'm back to Lisbon.

I visited 5 hostels during my trip and this one was far the best, especially considering the cheap price of 9 euros (without the 2€ tax). The staff is really cool and likes to celebrate and hang out with the visitors. The dorms are beautiful and cozy. The garden is really big and beautiful. Also the hostel has a cool bar and a fancy dining area and kitchen. Also the family dinners were cheap and very tasty! The pictures already looked cool on hostelworld but reality was way better! I really loved it there so that eventually we stayed way longer than originally intended. Small ideas to improve the hostel even more: 1. Provide some oats and more fruits and other food without sugar for breakfast and real coffee instead of instant coffee 2. a guitar 3. no TV and music in the dining area. That's a matter of taste of course ;) 4. a couch or two as a chill out area 5. no closing hours in the garden if possible

This place is great, staff are very helpful, everybody knows your name. Great atmosphere with dinner at night and bar. Beds in dorms have a great setup with privacy screens, lights, usb chargers and power outlet, very, very clean bathrooms and dorm rooms and public areas. Beautiful garden to relax and still get wifi. 4 blocks from metro and across road from tram stop.

Best Hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff were the most lovely humans, so warm, inclusive and friendly, especially Tato, who I hope will be a friend for life. I felt so at home here I felt genuinely sad to leave. Breakfast is decent, all the basic amenities are there and location is pretty good. The architecture, period features and garden in the hostel are so beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay

Wer es gerne laut mag, auch nachts, der kann hier glücklich werden. Altes Gebäude mit schönem Hof/Garten, Gemeinschaftsküche, Aufenthaltsraum, Bar. Wer Ruhe sucht, sollte anderswo unterkommen.

Muy recomendable. Es el mejor hostel de los paises que visite, camas comodas, desayuno bueno, con frutas, barato para comer por las noches y para beber en el bar. El personal muy amable y amigable, esta todo limpio, con buena presencia (hay detalles y gente que trabaja todo el tiempo para arreglarlos) tiene un parque muy bonito,la gente que va tambien se presta para la charla y la diversion.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOSTEL!! My wife was there with her friends. They went to bed and woke up with bed bugs covering the pillows, beds and blankets! They were moved to a room and told they would get some form or reimbursement. Since then, they do not answer the emails or phone calls! She finally got a hold of someone and they just laughed and said, "ok. Here's an email. Have a great rest of your day." They are still in Europe for travel right now, but now she is in the hole with money because of the terrible service at this place.

I had a lovely experience in San Jordi hostel, Lisbon. The hostel is in an old huge monastry with a big garden that offer a lot of place to hang out. The hostel is in a more portougese lifestyle area which is a super advantage! The serve a rich filling breakfast here which I enjoyed each morning, and also was really impressed by the reception services. Specially Tato and Renata who generously offered a lot of information about the cool stuff going on in Lisbon and the area apart from the touristic side that everyone knows. Thank you for welcoming me to Lisbon :)

Nous avons passé ma petite amie et moi un agréable séjour dans un établissement coquet très bien placé en plein cœur de Lisbonne pour un rapport qualité prix raisonnable. La chambre pour deux était confortable, la salle de bain attenante impeccable: spacieuse et propre. Le personnel était au petit soin. Nous avons passé 4 nuits là bas et nous recommandons fortement cette auberge de jeunesse! Un remerciement tout particulier pour Rhian, Tato pour leurs qualités d’accueil à la réception et leurs conseils pour découvrir Lisbonne, pour Francisco et sa jovialité et sa faculté à fédérer les gens autour de son bar pour passer des soirées endiablées! Une petite recommandation: beaucoup de touristes français comme moi ne sont pas très bons en langues (anglais, portugais, espagnol, etc). Donc les gars, soit votre employeur vous paye des cours renforcés en français (ce qui à mon avis est la meilleure solution car si vous parlez espagnol ou portugais, vous verrez le passage à la langue de Molière ne sera qu’une formalité ), soit vous recrutez un employé francophone. Ah oui j’oubliais, Sant Jordi Hostels va connaître quelques améliorations: Rooftop, piscine ‍♂️, etc. Nous reviendrons pour voir ces changements! Muito obrigado !

The hotel didn’t have Aircondithon. It was horrible. They are not any way close to the pics. No elevator either. They don’t let u check in until 3:00. There was no hot water in the 4th floor and showe was not working

Após muitos anos sem ir para um hostel tive uma nova oportunidade de ficar no Sant Jordi hostel novamente, porém em Lisboa, o qual não me arrependo, as camas são uma delicia, banheiro super lindo e o melhor é o jardim e a atmosfera que existe. O bar é muito legal e com cervejas baratas, um lugar para você que esteja viajando sozinho é uma ótima opção. Agradeço o Tato pelo ótimo atendimento e paixão pelo seu trabalho.

Eu não tenho perfil de hostel. Gosto de sossego, silêncio e organização extrema. Por diversos motivos resolvi me desafiar e me abrir para uma experiência que diverge com o conforto que comumente me agrada. Venho aqui compartilhar a minha experiência que de forma satisfatória me surpreendeu. Vamos la: O hostel tem uma ótima localização e fácil acesso, o que faz ser um espaço que não tem filtro de público. No início me bateu um arrepio, que aos poucos e de forma leve, foi se transformando em uma brisa gostosa de misturas de jeitos e confrontos de formas, que se confluíam nos diálogos gesticulados e sorrisos sinceros. Ok, mas agora eu preciso dormir e agora? quão desorganizado e sujo vai estar o quarto? A cama que me botaram estava com o lençol um pouco molhado (já torci o nariz). Chamei alguém da equipe, que com um sorriso no rosto (não precisava, o hostel estava lotado e com um grupo grande de estrangeiros chegando, correria) rapidamente trocou tudo por lençóis que pareciam que tinham acabado de voltar da lavanderia. O quarto estava tão limpo quanto se permitia um quarto com mais 9 pessoas, com hábitos e maneiras de ser diferentes. Estava tendo uma festa lá fora (tem muita festa lá) e já me imaginei virando a cabeça no travesseiro sem dormir mas, para minha TOTAL surpresa, eles tem em respeitos aos hóspedes e aos vizinhos, um “toque de recolher”, que desliga o som e fecha as portas do jardim traseiro do hostel. Conduzindo assim quem quer festa, para os inúmeros bares e baladas que tem na região. No dia seguinte acordei para tomar banho, alguém já estava usando, esperei. Quando a pessoa saiu, uma funcionária muito simpática (que ficava cantando e dançando quase que sozinha) perguntou se eu queria que ela limpasse antes de eu usar. Fui conferir esperando o caos, nada além de umidade (esperada de um pós banho) e uma toalha de chão suja enrolada no canto. Pedi apenas para ela trocar a toalha de chão, que com sorriso no rosto e uma canção no olhar, trocou e, se foi saltitando continuar seus afazeres. Teve alguns dias que durante a noite, hospedes que chegavam alvoroçados tanto para fazer check in ou até de baladas, aumentavam o tom de voz nos corredores. Não demorava para alguém da recepção ir de forma bemm calma (o funcionário da noite era peculiarmente engraçado em sua calma) ver se precisavam de algo e pedir gentilmente para abaixarem o tom de voz. Enfim poderia ficar aqui contando em minucias as experiências de uma semana de convivência. Mas, o que eu realmente quero dizer é: rico é aquele que experiência a vida em sua organicidade e dança junto com ela. Foi isso que eu vi e aprendi com esse hostel e sua (incrível) equipe. Que compreendiam as adversidades do cotidiano e, sambavam com graça e molejo para (re)construindo o melhor ambiente para todos, hospedes e eles também (amei essa parte).

This hostel is amazing! Several leisure environments, a huge kitchen, super polite staff, a bar with always happy people, very clean bathrooms, recycle trash, I had the pleasure of meeting people from all over the world and making great friends, surely a place I want Will be back soon. Ostello carino, sala comune e cucina molto grandi, c'è un giardino, il bar e i ragazzi della reception sono cortesi. La camera aveva un bagno e una doccia all'interno. Altresì, nel mio piano vi era un altro bagno con una serie di lavabi, peccato che solo un wc fosse disponibile ( nessuna doccia era accessibile, vi erano una serie di porte chiuse). A parte questo neo consiglio l'ostello.

Local muito acolhedor, os funcionários são incríveis. Fiz muitas amizades no local. Recomendo levar os amigos para beber no bar e jantar lá.

Eu optei por este hostel pela pontuação, mas como fiquei 9 dias, pude perceber que está aquém do apontado. Saí de lá com uma reação a percevejos e sabe-se lá se não os trouxe comigo. E quando informei a recepção, apenas aparentemente tomaram nota e não ofereceram qualquer assistência. Vamos pelo começo. Primeiro, foram 4 dias em um quarto com dez pessoas. Sem qualquer ventilação, as janelas eram deixadas abertas para que o ar circulasse, mas daí havia o barulho da rua e dos hóspedes que fumavam e conversavam ao pé de uma escada. Nesses 4 dias, vi uma única vez o aspirador ser passado no chão, mas a verdade é que nada limpou, pois ficaram tufos de cabelos e poeira para trás. Depois, me mudei para um quarto de cinco pessoas. Menos movimentado mas o mesmo problema com ventilação. O chão nunca foi varrido. Em todos os dias, seja no quarto de 10 ou de 5 pessoas, não vi qualquer higiene mais profunda das camas (trocavam apenas as roupas de cama). Vi os banheiros serem neglicenciados por mais de 24 horas repetidamente. Como usam aquelas toalhas renováveis, em diversos momentos não tínhamos algo limpo para secar as mãos. Os banheiros tinham os pisos sujos e/ou sempre molhados. E o pior está por vir: deixei o hostel com uma reação alérgica muito intensa devido a percevejos. Tenho 3 malas e terei de pagar para lavar as roupas nela contidas, sem falar nas despesas com antialérgico. Não me espanta, claro, dado o pouco cuidado com a higiene. Mas me sinto lesada, onerada. É sabido que este é um mal muito presente em ambientes como esse, portanto a higiene precisa ser impecável. E pra isso é necessário investir em equipe, em pessoas. A equipe é quase toda amigável mas está sobrecarregada com as demandas e, sem uma gestão presente, aparentemente. Existe uma aura muito freestyle no hostel, com poucas regras, portanto em inúmeras vezes, os alimentos que eu comprei, identifiquei e guardei na geladeira foram consumidos ou jogados fora sem a minha autorização. O argumento é de que são muitas pessoas, mas daí é que se deve empregar um controle mais rígido, até porque o valor pago faz jus a um serviço mais digno. A localização é ótima; o prédio com seus jardins e limoeiros é maravilhoso, embora necessite de um pouco mais de cuidado. Há colaboradores super atenciosos, como a Rafa, a Isa, o Ítalo, a Sara, o Fran e o Tato. Mas seriam necessários vários deles pra fazer o hostel merecer essa pontuação.

La meilleure auberge de jeunesse de Lisbonne. Un jardin magnifique, un bar extérieur, petit déjeuner inclus, le staff est adorable... le prix l’un des moins cher à Lisbonne... allez y les yeux fermés !

Had so much fun here! Sarah and Isadora were amazing hosts and made me feel very welcome in Lisbon. It was truly them that made my leg of this trip.

Sant jordi Lisbon was just amazing! Everyone there is so warm and friendly ! Guests from all over the world and the crew melted togeher like a family. The Hostel is a peace of art the details and beatiful collors are all over you, the outside areas are great, the garden is so relaxing that you may forget about your bed. I booked 4 nights than extended 2 more, and even wanted to stay longer because of the good vibe. The Brazilians friends and crew were very sociable and lovely and the rest of the crew as well. Great service with a honest smile. Thank you guys for the positive vibe and the good time we had! I got the sant jordi Tshir so this beautiful experience can live with me forever, as well as the friends i met overther. Thanks everyone love you all A Duley.

We were not aware it was a unisex hostel and were pleased when we were offered a twin room instead of sharing a dorm with men. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Dining room and garden very attractive.

We had a private room. It was extremely hot in the night and we couldnt sleep. Woke up the next day with bed bug bites all over our bodies!! Bathrooms were disgusting.

This hostel was the best of my life! The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is equipped, the garden is the best part of the hostel! The localization is very nice with market and station metro near. The hostel is in the good neighborhood, so it’s cheaper you have lunch like a local people. We can pass some time on the garden making exercises or just enjoying the sun! There’s programs everyday and special food for a cheap price

There were bed bugs on the bed, the staff upgraded us to a private room because of bugs which was very kind of them but the told us they would steam our bags however when we were back it didn’t look the bags were steamed. And now I have bed bug rashes all over my body. I wasn’t the only one with the problem seemed like they received the complains numerous times and to our surpise when were back in the evening our beds were offered to other guests they would have suffered the same problem.

Well huge task to describe this Hostel in words. It is simply awesome. The receptionists are really nice Mr. Ricardo, the Brazilian one is an example. The kitchen, the chill zone, the garden, the inside and the outside bar, there is everything for different tastes.

RUIDO sin parar de gente y de las PUERTAS es insoportable. No se puede dormir ni de día ni de noche. Muy caro para lo q es. Habitación sin nada: no hay aire, no hay tv, nada solo la cama. Ruido a todas horas. El Desayuno está bien, pero no dejan de ser tostadas, café, zumos y cereales. Toallas rotas y mal lavadas. Los baños los limpian después de la hora de comer eso si, con música a todo meter para tampoco dejarte descansar. No lo recomiendo si quieres descansar. Hay bares dentro del hotel: ruido de nuevo hasta a las 12. Las fotos son de una parte del hotel el resto es bastante menos cuidado ni de diseño

Gabriel and Fran made our stay! Will definitely be back to Lisbon and stay here! Gabriel is the Gordan Ramsey of St Jordi, meals were cheap and amazing and Fran makes an amazing cheap drinks! So many areas to meet new people and great fixed sleeping beds ! Great views and great staff. Lisbon #1 hostel.

The hostel is okay, but is not as nice as it looks in the pictures. It is not as big or as grand, and the breakfast is mediocre. The main issue we had were the rooms - when booking a twin private room it showed a picture of a pretty room with 2 single beds next to one another which is why we booked it. When my friend and I arrived they showed us to a room in the basement, with no proper window and a bunk bed. We were so uncomfortable in this dingy room and asked to be moved, but had arrived at night and there were no other rooms available. The guy behind the counter was so unhelpful and didn't offer to move us to a different room for the next night, just told us to ask the morning staff to do that for us. There were some hairs on the bed and we barely slept all night. The next morning we just decided we had to leave because the atmosphere of our dingy basement room and the unhelpful staff made us feel so uncomfortable. After asking at the front desk, chasing up with an email and a visit the next day the hostel gave us a refund for the 2 nights we didn't stay, but not the one we stayed there for. I feel this was fair, as the hostel eventually handled our issue well, but it required some effort on our part, and the actual hostel and its staff when we arrived made us very uncomfortable.

I spent 4 nights in Lisbon. Hostel really clean and comfy beds. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. There is a nice garden inside where to chill out, read a book , have breakfast. Leaving/Dinning room is pretty big, with tables in clear wood. If you'd like with 5/6 Euro you can have dinner prepared by the staff. Location is quite good, close to Alfama area. Really accessible with tram and metro.

I was here 4 days during my staying in Lisbon. I was travelling alone and it was my first time in Lisbon, but the staff was always ready to help me. They're all very friendly, helpful and polite. Common spaces are perfect to make new friends or just to relax. I loved the building and the style. Last but not least, the cleaning was basically perfect and even though most of the bathrooms are in common with more dorms or rooms, they were always clean. I'll definitely come back here during my next trip to Lisbon.

They have a 24 hour front desk. Use the free Walk tour arranged by the hostel. Very well connecting Metro. Lisbon is a beautiful place. I am very happy about my stay at this hostel.

Mi estadía en sant Jordi fue increíble, superó mis expectativas. Limpio, cómodo y buen ubicado. Tiene un bar con precios increíbles. Gracias Lara, Fran y Gabriel por la buena onda y hacerme sentir como en casa. Isa sirvió por las mañanas se destacó por su amabilidad en el desayuno. Además tienen una magnífica cena por un precio único. Lara es una magnífica cocinera, voy a extrañar mucho sus comidas.

Hostel vibe is great and the big garden and open area on the back is just amazing! The bar is a good place to meet up new people and Staff are super friendly and helpful! The beds was not so confortable and bathrooms get busy during the morning.

Overall our stay here was really great. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms were great. My complaints are relatively mild, but maybe good to keep in mind. The room was hot, I was on the top bunk and found myself waking up sweating (so if you sleep on the hot side be weary). I’d read other reviews talking about the noise level and brushed them off because a) I know cities are loud and b) have a huge supply of ear plugs specifically for noisy hostels — however, the street noise was so loud and people were up until 5am both nights we were there, and I heard it all through the ear plugs. Location wasn’t decent, about a 25 minute walk to the city center but there is a bus stop right next to the hostel. Highly recommend the Lisboa Card if you’ll be there more than one day. Breakfast at the hostel was AMAZING! And FREE.

Wir haben 5 Tage in diesem Hostel verbracht. Das Zimmer und die Betten waren absolut in Ordnung. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit separatem Bad.. Das Bad ist auch das einzige was man etwas bemängeln könnte. Es gab für 10 Mädels nur einen kleinen Handspiegel.. Ansonsten ist das Hostel top. Es gehört ein super schöner Garten dazu, und sie bieten sogar an für 5 Euro abends hier essen zu können, das Personal kocht toll!

Absolut außergewöhnliches Hostel! Sowohl vom Äußeren, als auch von den Leuten her. Wunderschönes Gebäude, toll eingerichtet, super bequeme Betten und ein Garten, bei dem einem der Mund offen stehen bleibt. Sämtliche Mitarbeiter sind zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit gut gelaunt und hilfsbereit. Vor allem Alex hat uns das Gefühl gegeben, zu Hause zu sein, aber auch Tato, Vitor und Chris sind super. Im ganzen Haus herrscht eine so angenehme Stimmung und es ist immer irgendwas los, sodass wir einen Tag komplett da geblieben sind, anstatt ins Zentrum zu fahren. Die Lage ist perfekt: zentral, aber relativ ruhig. Abends kann man für 5€ im Hostel essen, echt lecker und preislich mehr als okay. Die Bäder sind bei so vielen Leuten nicht immer top sauber, dafür mussten wir aber auch nie warten, irgendwo ist immer eines frei. Das Frühstück ist auch vollkommen in Ordnung, ein bisschen was herzhaftes wäre noch nicht schlecht. Wir wären ohne zu zögern noch länger geblieben und werden definitiv so bald wie möglich wieder kommen!

The building is restored and very nice. The room was spacious with a private bathroom. However the building is set up with the center being an open atrium that the rooms face. The noise level in the atrium was unacceptable, especially since there are several rooms where people can socialize downstairs in the bar, diningroom, or garden that would not disturb others. I pointed this out to the staff but nothing changed and the second night I had to leave my room at 4:00 to ask people to be quiet. This is a major problem but it could be solved if management would make a few rules for quiet times and places for socializing. Very Disappointing!!!!!!
