Had a great experience learning with Kite Control thanks to Francois and Stefano at the Obidos lagoon - perfect location. Very professional, excellent instructors, friendly and overall a great experience. Can highly recommend.

Ich habe im April einen Kitekurs bei François gemacht und kann dies nur empfehlen. Er ist ein sehr motivierter und kompetenter Lehrer. Ihm gelingt es dich in kurzer Zeit auf's Board zu bringen und das bei perfekten Bedingungen.

Great experience. First great reactivity, sent a txt in the off-season and got called backed almost immediately and arrange a individual lesson for the next day. Spot is amazing, very scenic and very suitable for beginners too. Had a few hours of lessons before and short of time on this day. Francois picked me right up at my level and brought me to my first water start. Great fun, but highly professional at the same time. Can't wait to come back!

I had a wonderful experience kitesurfing on the Obidos Lagoon with François and his team. Was welcomed very warmly into a clean shared villa with all the needed comfort. Conditions were mostly good, the team really professional and very good at instructing. After a couple of lessons I rented gear and was off on my own for a couple of hours pure freedom on the water. Always under the watchful eye of some crew members on shore, in case I would have needed any help. A great experience and definitely recommended!

My boyfriend and I booked a three day course and had an amazing time. The conditions at the spot are perfectly for bloody beginners like we are :D so the water level is relatively low, no waves or anything and the Laguna basically is like a big lake ... So you can't get lost with your kite. Our teacher was Robert from Germany and he taught us very well. We had quite some fun and after three days we managed to actually kite a little with the board.
We wanted to try kiting for such a long time .. for us, this definitely was the perfect start with a good and professional team. Also the prices are very transparent.
So from us... thumps up ;)

I am very happy with my experience with Kite Control. François and his staff are a diverse and very professional team of kitesurfer. The spot is magnificent and the wind was always very generous with us. Communication was very easy and friendly. Never had any problem.
The equipment was in extremely good conditions. Only one day my wetsuit was not up to the job and i got very cold in the water; the problem was recognized and fixed immediately. Moreover, as a sign of understanding, that day the school waived the fee for the lesson. All in all, a very recommendable experience!

Habe mie für 2 Tage Kitesachen ausgeborgt. Der Kite Lehrer war sehr freundlich und alles ist mega problemlos und unkompliziert verlaufen. Werde gerne wieder kommen!!!!

Great times with Boris and the team. As a brand new beginner, it takes me just few hours to feel confortable with the kite and the board and experience the water starts and my first runs. Material and explanations are at the top.

Wij waren hier een week voor kiteles en hebben een hele fijne tijd gehad! Onze accommodatie direct aan de lagune gaf veel privacy en lag naast een aantal restaurantjes en een mini supermarkt. Het lag zeer afgelegen en gaf dus veel tijd om te relaxen naast het kiten. De lessen waren zeer professioneel, met directe aanwijzingen door helmen met portofoons. De instructeurs spreken een zeer groot aantal talen en waren allemaal super aardig! Helaas hadden we een week met weinig wind, waardoor we niet iedere dag hebben kunnen kiten. Francois was zeer vriendelijk in het aanbieden van andere activiteiten zoals mountainbiken en surfen. In een week met goede wind zou dit een top locatie zijn geweest, dus ik raad het zeker aan!

I bought a kite voucher for my husband as a birthday present, and it was definitely the best present ever :) Francois was superkind and is a great instructor, with great equipments and great vibes. Highly recommended if you want to have fun while learning kitesurf!

Had a 3 days 2h course to finally learn to kite independently (one day we cancelled for bad wind condition). João was a great instructor, went step by step teaching everything. Solid progression and a lot of fun. Will definitely recommend.

Zusammen mit einem Kumpel haben wir uns spontan für einen Kite Kurs entschieden. Was soll ich sagen? Alles top.
Wir hatten eine super Unterkunft, einen mega coolen Kite Lehrer und trotz wenig Wind eine super Woche. Es werden neben dem Kiten auch andere Aktivitäten wie Beachvolleyball, Surfen, Mountainbiken und weiteres angeboten. Wir haben uns mit allen aus der Kiteschule super verstanden, waren zusammen feiern und haben Abends bei uns gegrillt. Achja und das mit dem Kiten hat dann auch geklappt. Danke euch!

Kite Control is a really nice and good kitesurf school. The instructors are good kiters and are patient. They have a perfect feeling of your kite level and pay attention to what you want to learn. Francois responds quickly to questions.

From zero to hero...
... well, almost. I came to Francois with no kite skills, and at the end of the week I could ride the kite interdependently. Up-wind, down-wind and I even managed the first turns smoothly. I'm really happy with the teaching of Francois team and himself. I had 4 times 3h lessons, with different coaches, which makes it unique because everybody has s.th, different to share with you. The lagoon is a perfect spot for kiting, for beginner as well as for pro's. We had almost everyday perfect wind conditions, only one day we had to rest, which wasn't a bad thing ;)
Francois pls send my regards to the team, looking forward to go kiting again.

From the first phone call to the last run Kite control we're excellent. I had 6 hours of lessons and they were realistic about what could be achieved and enthusiastic about all the students getting out up on the kite. Patient and thorough instruction with enough awareness of safety too. Really excellent

Great location and good conditions but mostly excellent teaching. Francois and team managed to get us on the board and kiting; great work:)! Also: nice atmosphere, good bbq at the villa, and general relaxed atmosphere. Can only recommend! We ll be back, hopefully.

The session with François was an amazing experience, regarding both: teaching and having a lot of fun! it was our very first attempt on kite surfing, we got a great introduction and got totally hooked for further sessions. the conditions in the lagoon are perfect for learning the first steps: sweet wind, no waves, enough space.
communication was nice und uncomplicated for our spontanuous booking and a drink together in the evening underlines the nice atmosphere. we totally recommend it to everyone!

Ich habe mit Kite Control kitesurfen gelernt und hatte super viel Spaß :). François ist ein sehr erfahrener und geduldiger Kitelehrer und schafft es, einen innerhalb von paar Stunden aufs Board zu bringen. Wir sind direkt von der ersten Stunde an ins Wasser gegangen und haben alle Übungen im Wasser ausgeführt. Denn die Lagune ist einfach der perfekte Ort zum lernen. Das Wasser ist nur hüfttief, man kann stehen, es gibt keine Wellen und keine starke Strömung wie im Meer und somit braucht man keine Angst zu haben, dass man irgendwo hindriftet wo man gar nicht hin will. Immer wieder gerne und sehr zum empfehlen:).

Amazing experience ! Super good spot for any levels, great teachers and equipment for a really decent price. The conditions are the best you can imagine for learning + François is of good advice for discovering the area. Definitely one to recommend !

We had lessons for me and my two kids (9 and 13). Lionel, Vince and Stephane are expirienced Kite Surfers and teachers and Lionel and Vince did very well with my kids. Once we come to Foz again we will be at Kite Control again. Thanks also to Francois the owner of the school.

I would advise beginners in Lisbon area to travel to Obidos lagoon to learn. All places nearer Lisbon are too rough water to progress. Francois and team are really dedicated, go the extra mile and I highly reccommend them

The conditions at these guys' spot are truly epic. I really enjoyed my kitesurfing lesson on my recent visit to Obidos with my girlfriend. My instructor was super patient and professional, making me feel safe and helping me to learn how to fly the kite. It was difficult in the beginning but i was soon in the water and i felt much more relaxed. Thanks for the fun guys! See you soon for another session soon and we can get me up on the board :)

I tried to learn kiteboarding in Thailand but didn't get very far. With Francois, I was already getting on the board during the second session and was staying on by the third! Francois' philosophy is that the student should become independent (which one would think is obvious but it's not), so he is very comprehensive in his explanation. I really enjoyed my time kiting here.

Sympathetic and pedagogic guy for your Kite Lessons in Portugal. He is really pro, see what could be improve in your practice and help you for having more and more fun on your board !
I had already an intermediate levels, I took two sessions and I am now able to learn by my selfself.
Place and surrounding region is beautiful !

I have been searched for a place to stay around portugal, close to the beach, and a kite club that could provide me rent and kite solutions. I talked to Francois , and after just 5 min he took care for me- accomodation on the kite spot, a kite, and a good friend. Francois is a very proffesional guy, friendly and kind!
So if you looking for a kite lesson/rental/accomodation/kite salea - kite control is your answer!
