This is definitely one of the best places for a chilled out meal by the end of the afternoon. The owners are super friendly and helpful. They serve super tasty comfort food. The place is small and unsurprisingly packed with foreigners because their reviews are very good.

I am so upset that I forgot to take pictures. The food is not really our style, but the place deserves 5 stars just for the owners. They made us feel at home immediately, played with our child, and brought him special food. It was not expensive and they will do anything to help you enjoy your meal.

Een ontzettend leuke plek voor overheerlijke tapas! De vriendelijke eigenaar legt alles vol liefde aan je uit en vervolgens is het aan jou om een keuze te maken uit al dit lekkers :)
Er zijn buiten slechts 8 zitplaatsen, dus het is reserveren of geluk hebben!

Excellent moment ! Les ingrédients sont locaux et d'une fraîcheur incroyable. Les tapas sont délicieux ! A commander absolument : leur fromage de brebis local. Présenté sur un grand toast avec un peu de miel ; une véritable tuerie.
Et le serveur vous explique la carte et la provenance de tous les ingrédients avec un super enthousiasme.

Atendimento impecavel e lugar aconchegante. Eu e meu marido adoramos e nos arrependemos de nao ter pedidos mais coisas para provar, pois tudo é de excelente qualidade e priorizam o sabor. Recomendo almoço pois esta mais tranquilo o movimento. Um grande achado de Lisboa, nao perca.

The owners of the restaurant are really adorable. They offer a full explanation of what you are going to eat, very good advice on what you should order and even the possibility to try some products for free before ordering in bigger quantities.

Tapas délicieux, gérants adorables, vin rouge succulent. Tout y est pour passer une excellente soirée en très bonne compagnie! Rien de mieux pour découvrir les spécialites et l'hospitalité du Portugal ! A recommander, et surtout a ne pas louper ! (Penser a réserver, ce serait bête de passer a côté de ce petit coin de paradis !)

Genialer Laden mit regionalen Produkten und super freundlichen Gastgebern.
Das kleine Lokal wirkt vielleicht etwas unscheinbar, aber wenn man solides, frisches, regionales Essen zu erschwinglichen Preisen in einer herzlichen Atmosphäre (abseits der Touri-Ströme) möchte, ist man hier genau richtig.
Die Tapas sind nicht super außergewöhnlich, was auch nicht sein muss, dafür super Qualität und alles wird frisch zubereitet (Toasts, Shrimps, Käseplatte mit Honig, portugiesische Wurst,..). Dazu gibt es leckere Weine und Bier und man kann vorher probieren und dann aussuchen, welchen man wählt.
Es gibt Käse oder ein Tagesdessert zur Nachspeise.
Die Preise sind super (Espresso 0,90€).
Vor allem besticht das Lokal durch die netten Gastwirte, die einem alles erklären, super freundlich sind und man sich dadurch sehr willkommen fühlt.
Einfach mal die Hektik beiseite legen, das "Slow Food" Gefühl genießen und sich nicht aufregen, wenn man ein paar Minuten mehr auf das Essen wartet.
Entweder reservieren oder früh (d.h., vor 18.30 Uhr) kommen.

Comida deliciosa, lugar aconchegante, atendimento ótimo, os donos são extremamente simpáticos e o vinho é maravilhoso, mas bem forte. O local é pequeno e é um restaurante de família, eles não abrem todos os dias, por isso o ideal é ligar e reservar uma mesa antes.

Kleines sehr familäres geführtes Bistro, in dem der Wirt eine Selektion ausgesuchter Produkte anbietet. Die sehr charmante und zuvorkommende Bewirtung durch den Besitzer lässt einen fast vergessen, dass die Auswahl an Produkten sehr übersichtlich ist: Einen weitgehend unbekannten Winzer. ich glaube drei unterschiedliche Arten Wurst, ein- bis zwei Käsesorten. Alles in verschiedenen Kombinationen und ein paar wenige warme Tapas. Die Qualität ist gehobener Durchschnitt, aber die Gerichte und der Wein schmecken durch die familäre Betreuung nochmal so gut. In trubeligen Lissabon ein Ort der Ruhe und Entspannung, aber kein kulinarisches Highlight.

Richtig gut. Auf alle Fälle hingegen! Familiär geführtes Lokal und der Inhaber erklärt sehr charmant die Speisekarte. Unschlagbares Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Reservieren sollte man nur vorher, da es nur wenig Plätze gibt und die sind beliebt.

Fantastic little place a little but outside the City centre but it was well worth the journey.
First of all the owners are lovely and really passionate about their food which is all locally sourced from the mountains (specialising in sausages and cheese). The place had a real locals vibe to it with no English menu but that didn’t matter as the owners spoke exceptional English and talked us through the menu making recommendations.
The food itself was exceptional and really reasonably priced.

Superbe découverte, ils méritent le certificat d'excellence Trip Advisor qu'ils ont eu ces 2 dernières années.
C'est tout petit, mais les patrons Sonia et Pedro sont super sympas et de bons conseils. Vraiment, si vous aimez les tapas et l'esprit "marché", allez-y les yeux fermés.
J'ai hâte d'y retourner lors de mon prochain séjour à Lisbonne.

Petit Resto avec un patron et une patronne hyper sympa qui vous présentent des produits régionaux qu'ils connaissent très bien (en français). Pour notre part, c'était de la charcuterie et du fromage de montagne dont un étonnant boudin "blanc" fumé (rien à voir avec le francais) le tout avec un très bon vin blanc. Je conseille ne serais ce que pour ce moment de partage des bonnes choses.

Ce charmant petit restaurant situé autour du marché de Arroios, loin des circuits touristiques, propose des produits régionaux de qualité (charcuterie, fromages,...)
et un très bon rapport qualité-prix.
(La soupe du jour, excellente, est à 1,50€).
Le patron et sa femme sont comme leur restaurant, charmants, et vraiment très accueillants. Ils parlent très bien français et anglais, et prennent le temps d'expliquer toutes les spécialités proposées sur la carte.

Small and familiar tapas bar. The tapas are very good, but not outstanding. Anyway: The service is slow, because if you don't speak Portuguese they will explain you the whole menu and the owners are extremely nice. So the overall impression was so good that it was one of our best evenings in Lisbon and I can totally recommend going there.
You should book a table as there are only few (7?).

The owners of the restaurant are so so nice that I keep coming back. Most products are typical from Serra da Estrela. Since cheese is one of the specialities of this Portuguese region, half of menu items use it, and it's delicious! There's a great price-relation here, even for drinks. Products are top quality, and the space is really cozy, which brings the experience to a greater level. It's a great place to have dinner or just to grab some wine and tapas during the afternoon.

Pedro, qui parle très bien français et anglais, nous accueille avec grand plaisir, nous présente João le chef avant de nous présenter en détails sa carte et l'origine des produits tous locaux et frais ! De plus, il faut déguster ses vins pour que l'on puisse choisir celui qu'on préfère. Les tapas sont délicieuses et les produits de qualité ! N'hésitez pas à venir y manger mais essayez de réserver car peu de place.

It was a first time when we've been to Lisbon. We arrived at airport and were very hungry. We went out at Alameda metro station and decided to visit Há Tapas no Mercado cafe. It was amazing. An owner of that cafe was very pleasant and helped us to make a choice, because my friend and I did not know Portugese. Even now when posting this comment I want to visit this cafe again ;)

Hoje tive uma nova experiência agradável. Vagueando pela zona da Alameda, em Lisboa, digitei no telemóvel, onde comer barato e deparei com o primeiro dos endereços de restaurante " Há tapas no mercado. Modesto e simples, com aquela vontade e dedicação de quem gosta muito do seu ofício, algo por vezes difícil de encontrar numa cidade grande, fui recebido como se estivesse em casa de amigos, que tiveram muito gosto em explicar, as eguarias que tinham para se degustar.
Uma cozinha muito simples, que prima por oferecer produtos regionais de pequenos produtores, composta por um cardápio repleto de petiscos, que fazem as delícias de um palato, amante destas pequenas coisas, que sabem pela vida.
Para ter semelhante sensação, não há nada como por lá fazer uma passagem, pois as palavras são só o que são.
Prosperidade para a casa, é o desejo de quem gosta de ter agradáveis surpresas.

Recommandé par TripAdvisor dans la liste des restaurants proposant une cuisine locale, celui ci apparaissait bien noté et j’ai suivi les recommandations.
Il s’agit d’un restaurant familial, j’ai eu un Accueil très chaleureux et sympathique du propriétaire du restaurant, qui par la même présente sa femme.
Ce-dernier donne des explications sur les plats proposés mais également propose une dégustation de vin (3 verres de vin rouge) pour vous assurer de choisir le bon pour votre repas.
J’ai choisi de faire confiance aux recommandations avisés du propriétaire du restaurant pour les plats et ses spécialités et je n’ai pas été déçu.
Excellent Restaurant Authentique et loin des endroits touristiques, ce qui est fortement appréciable.

Die Karte ist nur auf portugiesisch was Pedro aber nicht davon abhielt uns jede Speise zu übersetzen.

Ce petit restaurant mérite mille fois sa note, les patrons sont très accueillant et chose rare de nos jours, ils sont soucieux de nous combler autant par nos papilles que par leur accueil. Super bon! Le proprio et son épouse sont très gentils. Ils font bonne équipe. Il faut réserver d'avance, car les tables sont souvent prises. Les tapas sont merveilleuses, goûtez aux crevettes grillées ou champignons gratinés et le plat de dégustation de charcuteries. Le proprio a pris le temps de nous faire essayer les vins blancs disponibles avant de faire notre choix. Prix raisonnables et ingrédients locaux, quoi demander de mieux! J'y retournerai lors de mon prochain voyage au Portugal.

There are many small restaurants in Lisbon that you can have a delicious meal, made and served by friendly people, but this one is surely one of the best! Excellent tapas, made with portuguese products and at very good prices. The owners are really nice and very friendly people, explaining to us every single dish of the menu and always with a warm smile. We went there twice during our stay in Lisbon and we fully recommend it!

Pedro and Sonja (the owners/ husband, wife team) are passionate about their food, and it is very evident. Pedro will go over the entire menu, including how each dish tastes, where it is from, and various other details. The blood sausage was creamy deliciousness, and the bites of my families dishes that I had we're just as fabulous. Sonja is an incredible chef. All local. Totally worth every second.

Excelente lugar para tapear en el mercado de Arroios. Su especialidad son las tostas con productos regionales de "Serra da Estrela" (quesos y embutidos). Nos encantaron las champiñones frescos con queso de la sierra y jamón cocido, y las tostas de "paio" y "farinheira". Es un sitio pequeño así que conviene ir temprano o reservar. La atención es excelente y la comida también.

La atención es excelente, la calidad muy buena, es imprescindible reservar porque es un sitio muy pequeño, apenas cinco mesas en un diminuto local en el propio efificio del mercado. Es informal y no es un restaurante propiamente dicho, más bien un bar de tapas especializado en productos portugueses de montaña (embutidos, quesos, etc...), aunque tienen también algo de carne. Precio barato y relación calidad/precio imbatible. Eso sí, no esperes grandes lujos....empezando por el espacio. Yo repetiría aunque sea más bien de tapeo.

Wir waren gestern dort. Ein kleies Örtchen und trotzdem immer voll ausgebucht... Wir hatten glück, dass wir noch draußen sitzen konnten! Betrieben wird der Laden von einem Ehepaar, welches den Laden auch selbst bewirtet. Die Speisekarte ist leider nur auf portugiesisch, allerdings nimmt sich der Mann die Zeit und erklärt die gesamte Karte auf englisch.
Alles in allem war das Essen super lecker und nicht all zu teuer. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen und werde bei dem nächsten Urlaub wieder dort sein!

Amazing little place in the middle of a small indoor market. The host is wonderful and his wife (the cook!) will be gentle and very accommodating. Every recipe will be explained and the tastes of home made cuisine is clear. There are many tables since they are located within a deli, but it's worth trying. No wonder is so high on TripAdvisor (in July 2017)

Regional tapas for a good price in a really nice atmosphere. Waitress is really nice, speaks English and helps you with the local dishes.

Comida e simpatia no seu auge! Seguramente um dos melhores espaços da zona da Alameda para petiscos. Atenção que o espaço é pequeno e enche rapidamente. Convém ligar a reservar!

Tasty food, nice service, genuine smiles!
Exciting, I enjoy when there are new combination of ingredients!
The service was better than a fine dining. The menu was in Portuguese but the owner translated everything and helped us to pick good vegetarian dishes.

Si tienes tiempo te recomiendo este pequeño y acogedor local en el mercado de Arroios. La comida es realmente casera, preparada con mimo. Los dueños son encantadores y te aconsejan y explican cada plato de la carta.
Como todo lo hacen en el momento tienes que tener paciencia porque tardan bastante.
Calidad/precio excepcional. Ah!!! No te olvides de llamar para reservar, sino es casi imposible conseguir sitio.

I join the cheerful reviews of the others. This place is fantastic. Super nice staff and foif is outstanding. And as a side note : it is cheap :-). I only can recommend it! There is even a fantastic play area for the kids inside of the market.

Wir sind am ersten Abend hier auf Empfehlung gelandet. Sehr kleines Restaurant mit einem extrem herzlichen Ehepaar, das zu zweit durch den Abend führt. Der Running Gag des Betreibers ist es, den Gästen die portugiesische Karte in bestem Englisch zu erläutern. Unser Fazit: Alles ist lecker und besonders haben uns die Toasts mit Paprika-Marmelade und auch die frischen Salate gefallen. Der Schafskäse ist himmlisch leicht.
Am letzten Abend waren wir wieder da und haben uns noch etwas Marmelade mitgenommen. :-)

Encontramos produtos de excelente qualidade e ainda uma descrição das suas origens e produção. Tivemos uma experiência única e pra quem quer provar a boa tradição portuguesa de tasquinhas aqui estará no sítio certo. Uma verdadeira raridade! Seja pra uma lanche,almoço ou jantar, os tapas são do melhor!!! Fomos à Vossa procura pela boa pontuação que têm e realmente comprovamos que é bem merecida!! One of the best meals I had in Lisbon! The couple running this place is amazing, lovely and skilled in both preparing and serving food. The owner spent a considerable amount of time explaining the menu and bringing us samples of wine or food to make our choice the best possible. Beer was Estrella from Barcelona, extremely nice to get along with the meal. The only thing I can complain about is that it's my last day here and can't get back here to have more food. Just come here and eat!

We had a great time here! Great food, very generous size tapas, ridiculously cheap bill. The place is small and cosy, with a very relaxed atmosphere. The owners are a wonderful couple, warm and friendly. We enjoyed a long chat about food, life and everything. Must go if you are in Lisbon!

A local place with a good neighbourhood vibe. Cheap, tasty, cozy and worth coming with friends, family and so on. Great value for the price you pay in Chiado and Avenidada da Liberdade. A brings the soul of the real portugueses "Petiscos".

Ein kleines unscheinbares Tapas Lokal mit super netter und herzlicher Bedienung der Inhaber Sonja und Pedro. Die Tapas waren alle sehr lecker. Wer hier in der Nähe ist, sollte unbedingt hingehen!

Wonderful place with fantastic food (our best meal in Lisbona). Sonia was very nice and helpful, she managed to create home-like atmosphere :). We hope to visit this place again.

Si vous avez une petite faim et un peu de temps devant vous , nous vous recommandons cette adresse. Vous y serez chaleureusement reçus par Pedro et Sonia. Ils vous proposerons de délicieuses tartines et salades , fruits de la qualité des produits et du savoir faire de Sonia . Le vin blanc "aroma de mêdas" est à consommer sans modération ! Une très bonne adresse couleur locale .

Dieses authentische Restaurant verzaubert einen mit Gastfreundschaft und lokalen Köstlichkeiten. Sonia und Pedro geben einem durch ihre liebevolle Art das Gefühl zu hause zu sein. Außerdem kann man von Sonias leckerem Essen, das mit so viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet wird, nie genug bekommen. Ein Aufenthalt bei diesen beiden liebevollen Personen lohnt sich immer! :)

Ambiente bonito e acolhedor, atendimento cuidadoso e simpático, pratos bem apresentados e saborosos, preço justo. Longe do burburinho turístico e com o charme local do Mercado de Arroios. Para um brunch, almoço ou petiscos a qualquer hora. Recomendadíssimo.

A really lovely place to have lunch. The owners are so friendly, helpful and easygoing. Had a nice chat alongside yummy homestyle broccoli soup and turkey toast. Sweet red pepper sauce on top is a delight. Definitely recommending it and coming back again.
