Our experience with Portugal Homes started off great. We had a very friendly and helpful agent who worked with our limited schedule and showed us many properties. The problems began once we had placed a reservation on a property and made a down payment of 10K euro. After specifically inquiring about how the process works if we changed our minds and wanted to pursue a different property, we were ASSURED that our 10K euro was refundable / transferable to another property. This is where Portugal Homes comes up short! If you choose to work with this company, be extremely diligent and don't expect them to be proactive on your behalf. Its been almost 3 months and we can't get anyone to return our calls, emails, and as you might guess - that 10k euro is gone. Update: We have since been in touch with Portugal Homes and have reached an agreement moving forward. Now if only we could get someone to send us property listings...
