Pfff wat hebben wij hier genoten!! Eerste dagje Portugal, geen idee of dit nog overtroffen kan worden. Alle gerechten waren perfect op smaak en de wijnen maakte alles compleet!

Sehr schönes kleines authentisches Restaurant! Es werden portugiesische Speisen serviert, die man gemeinsam, wie Tapas, verzehrt. Jedes der Essen war sehr lecker und wir waren total überzeugt. Außerdem war auch der Service wirklich top!

Es handelt sich hier um eine Art portugiesische Tapas-Bar, wie uns in einen der ersten Sätze der sehr gut englisch sprechende Kellner erklärte. Man wählt also als Hauptgang mehrere Gerichte aus der Speisekarte und "shared" diese. Auch spanisch wurde fließend in der Bar gesprochen, da die Kellnerin aus Spanien ist. Das Essen war gut (der Oktopus sehr gut), jedoch waren die Preise im Vergleich mit anderen Lokalitäten schon eher teuer. Der Nachtisch (Zimtkuchen) für 4,50 EUR hat uns jedoch nicht wirklich begeistert. Die Bewertung hier ist eher bei 3,5 als bei 4,0, aber das kann man hier leider nicht angeben.

Loved it to bits. We had a menu to share for 2 and everything was delicious. Tip: definitely get the toast with tomatoes, mackerel, red onions and oregano. It's divine!

What a gem of a restaurant with great food! The warm melted cheese with fine herbs was amazing! Definitely go find this place because it is genuinely Portuguese and not a tourist trap. You will find a very welcoming atmosphere and staff.

Excellent traditional non tourist rip-off meal. Try the red house wine 'vinho a casa' by the glass - excellent value. Takes a while to break the ice with the owner, but food is great. Enjoy. Economical. Good meal for €25 average.

Sus comidas bien presenradas, con productos del lugar, pero cocinados con toque personal, que lo hace especial, pero por encima de todo, me quedo con el trato agradable de Bénjami, su titular.

Food was ok, but be prepared they will charge you for every smile and nice word you receive there. The starter plate of sausages and cheese is robbery. Would not go there again.

Really enjoyed the dinner, based on several samples of local recipes. Loved the pork cheek, the eggs with Portuguese sausage, and the octopus. Paid about 25 Euros, including wine, really reasonable for the quality and quantity that I had. Also the personnel was very kind. Will come back again.

Wonderful place all round. One of the best tapas I have had in Lisbon. The place is very cosy, with wonderful friendly service. Great selection of wines. We had the menu for 2, which consists of set tapas menu. The pork cheeks dish is a must. I will definitely be going back there many time in the future. Lovely experience.

The service is excellent. The owner speaks english, french, spanish and portugese so it’s not just for locals, although it’s very much local cuisine. I had the port cheeks, which were tender and went very well with the red wine sauce. The pinot (red) was good. Good assortment of cheese and sausage. Relaxed wine and not expensive for an American traveler.

Obwohl es in diesem Restaurant auch "ausgewachsene" Speisen und sogar Menüs gibt, hat es doch eher den Charakter einer Tapas-Bar. Das bestätigte uns auch der Kellner, der nebenbei bemerkt sehr gut englisch und spanisch sprach.
Die Qualität und der Geschmack des Essens waren sehr gut. Man merkte, dass hier ausgewählte Rohprodukte verwertet werden.
Auch die Karte mit regionalen Weinen kann sich sehen lassen.
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es wegen der Größe der Portionen; diese hätten etwas reichhaltiger sein können. So etwas ist wohl typisch für eine Tapas-Bar. Aber ich persönlich fand das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht ganz ausgewogen.

Personlig och mycket trevlig personal, trevlig modern lokal, men hade väntat mer att "menyn" för två a' 38 €. Vår huvudrätt "griskind" var väldigt god, men alla smårätter före och efter verkligen ingen höjdare. Brödet och oliverna typ oätliga, "Tiboma of Mackerel" gjord på en alldeles stenhård brödbit!?

If you are looking for something gourmet and not authentic, this your place. Also they do the not ethical thing of bringing you olives, representing them as free of charge, and then charge them.

Un lugar fantastico con unas tapas variadas y muy ricas. El trato fue bastante bueno, nos dieron de cenar bastante tarde pero al final nos pusieron una copita de vino de oporto exclusivo que nos recomendo y nos dijo que calidad-precio estaba muy bien. Media copita 8,5€. Salimos algo decepcionados y con sensacion de que nos habia engañado.

Oh my the food was beautiful, octupus was perfect and the ox cheek is worth trying just to visit Lisbon. Recommend booking as it is a small venue with only 6-7 tables. Staff are passionate and welcoming. Every time I visit Lisbon I will come here.

Lugar acogedor, tranquilo, no masificado por turistas. Si quieres comer o cenar de tapas está totalmente recomendado. Lo mejor que probamos fue su ensalada de bacalao y la ración de pulpo que amablemente nos recomendaron. El trato recibido fue excelente. Si viajáis a Lisboa es un sitio donde debes parar para recuperar fuerzas.

Un piccolo locale a gestione familiare assolutamente fantastico, tant’è che ci siamo andati due volte. Abbiamo avuto modo di provare diverse specialità portoghesi, tutte cucinate a puntino. Ottima selezione di vini, accuratamente consigliati dalla casa a seconda del piatto. Imperdibili il polipo e la carne di manzo, di una tenerezza da sciogliersi in bocca.

Un régal pour les papilles ! Le menu à partager est composé de plats très bien assaisonnés et pleins de saveurs, de plus la quantité est parfaite pour un repas du soir. Les vins conseillés étaient eux aussi impeccables, quant au service il est à la fois souriant et dans toutes les langues : français anglais portugais aucun soucis de compréhension ! Je recommande vivement !

Went in September of 2016 and it was fantastic. This time not so much. It was the new owners Benjamin and Maria's first day and I hope they work the kinks out. The old recipe for the pork cheeks was also much tastier.

La comida, aparte de variada, estaba deliciosa, además de servida con gusto y de manera muy acogedora por este del encargado. El menú degustación, que adaptaron amablemente para tres personas, tenía un poco de muchas cosas, organizado además con mucho tiento.
Totalmente recomendable, para nosotros fue un final de día perfecto.

This is a real gem of a restaurant away from the tourist areas. The patron was charming, informative and friendly. His English was excellent. We chose one of the set tasting menus which he adjusted for the three of us. The food was delicious especially the slow cooked pork cheeks which just melted in the mouth. The meal with wine was incredible value. One of the most memorable meals we have ever had. It is very small so I suggest you book if you are in a large group or at busy times.

This place is a must visit in Lisbon, such a cosy atmosphere with the owner preparing, cooking and serving the food himself to give a kitchen feel. The food quality and flavour were amazing. All the wine is specially selected by the owner and it was the best bottle we had while in the city.

I had spent a week in Portugal and wanted to eat at a Tapas restaurant before leaving. A Venda Lusitana was a wonderful gastronomical experience for me. The owner was my waiter and suggested their tasting menu which I ordered and was fascinated by all the great food being brought to me. Started with a plate of 4 cheeses and 3 sausages, followed by an amazing toast covered with chopped tomatoes dripping with olive oil and finished with a layer of Iberian ham. Yummy!
And then came the pig cheeks which I had never eaten, but, when in Rome...so I did and they were very good. Finished with a desert assortment of ice cream, lemon mousse, egg pudding and a cake.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Small in size with only 8 tables but off the beaten path and prices that were more than reasonable. If I were to recommend one restaurant in Lisbon, this would be it.

Super restaurant qui ne paie pas forcément de mine vue de l'extérieur par contre le patron est aux petits soins et on voie qu'il est fier des produits qu'il vend et qu'il met dans les plats qu'il propose .
D'ailleurs la nourriture est varié et super bonne et cela permet du coup de faire un petit tour du Portugal en quelques minutes.
Je recommande sans hésitation ce restaurant :D

I have never written a review before - but for this place I was really moved to do so, because it was so amazing. The food was indescribably good. Everything seemed to be made with such care, and the ingredients were obviously great quality.
This food was soooo tasty that I was suddenly aware of just enjoying it. It was like a meditative, mindful eating experience, it really was that good...
I asked the restauranteur, who was lovely and down to earth, to recommend wine, and it was absolutely exceptional.
For anyone who is looking to really treat their taste buds, this is the place.

Prix raisonnables mais tout de même plus chers que la moyenne du fait de la qualité ET de la quantité. Menu pour 2 à 35€, mais les goûts et la quantité sont vraiment au rendez-vous
Légèrement en dehors du centre donc très paisible, cosy et gérant sympathique, parlant français/anglais/portugais et faisant lui-même la cuisine
Laissez lui sa chance, tout fut parfait !

Certainement l'une des meilleures adresses de la ville. De l'extrême gentillesse des restaurateurs à la qualité exceptionnelle des produits, en passant par la quantité proposée et le prix ridicule qui est demandé, tout est parfait. A ne surtout pas manquer !

We had our evening meal here on our first night in Lisbon. The food was so good and reasonably priced we came back on our last. Pork cheeks were the highlight but everything was good. My wife was very impressed with the house red and I enjoyed the craft beer selection. The multi-lingual proprietor was extremely helpful and friendly. Small and cosy. Highly recommended.

We had dinner there yesterday. It was amazing... even for a 8 year old girl. The pork cheeks are really the best food we had in Lisboa. And the lemon mousse!!! Service is great, produce is fresh and local, the waiter is very friendly, the place very cool.... And very reasonable price. If you are in Lisbon, please, please go here!!! (it is a very small place, so it would be better if you reserve in advanced).

Restaurant très sympathique et convivial. Ne pas se fier à la devanture de la rue car intérieur très chaleureux et convivial. Le patron parle français et anglais. Menu à partager pour deux permet de goûter différents produits portugais, délicieux de l'entrée au dessert, les fromages et charcuteries sont excellents et pour un prix très correct.
Une adresse à retenir et à partager sans modération.

If you would like to try portugese petiscos there's no better place to go in Lisbon. Very friendly service, freshly prepared food, great choice of portugese wine which you are able to buy and take home with you. Definitely try pork cheeks in port wine - it is meal to die for.

Atendimento muito atencioso. O menu degustação é delicioso e os vinhos também. O lugar é pequeno e concorrido por isso convém fazer reserva, mas vale muito a pena.

A place you just need to find of your own. It is not in time magazine, and it's just the perfect local store/restaurant, with great fresh produce from Portugal. It is actually the best experience we had so far, taking into concidiration that the owner was 100% attentive and interrested. It is said that we ate at Alma two days before, and it costed us 300 euros. It was amazing, but A Venda was better, in a different way. A Venda is genuine, and not a posh plate of gourmet. It is pure simple products. And wait until you meet the owner, he is just plain and simple loveable.
We recommend this place highly! And dont get fooled from the outside, a hidden pearl.
