We hiked up the hills specifically for this place. And it is as amazing as the review says! We got warmly welcomed by the restaurant owner and he is absolutely delightful. After all the places we visited in Portugal , I never received better hospitality in Portugal than in here :D and the food is family style with huge portion, price is very fair. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely and we had the best night since coming to Portugal !

Faut pas y aller pour le calme et le silence. Il y a beaucoup de bonnes choses au menu mais pas ça. Par contre ils sont très accueillants et la nourriture est très portugaise et Bonne.

Great restaurant and great food. My son wanted ice cream and the owner went out of their way to get him multiple options to choose from. It wasn’t on the menu which made it all the more special.

Minnha melhor experiencia gastronômica em Lisboa. O Sr Antonio Pereira recebe os cozinheiros do restaurante Ramiro nas segundas feitas quando estao de folga. Pergunte sobre o dia da galinha cabidela aue ele mesmo cria e seu vinho que ele mesmo produz. Vale a experiência !

Un restaurant authentique, avec un accueil chaleureux. Cuisine maison succulente (morue grillée à tomber, desserts extras...). Un endroit bien loin des attrape-touristes ! Nous avons adoré et y retournons dans quelques jours pour goûter le poulet qui avait l'air tout aussi bon.
Vin blanc pétillant maison à tester !!
Un passage obligatoire dans le quartier de l'Alfama.

Excellent food home cooked by experts in deliciousness. The food was great - steak & chips, and the desserts even better. We could not speak Portuguese but the hosts were funny, accommodative and fed us like kings. Not your regular western restaurant but an authentic barrio eatery.

The foods were alright, but the owner (I guess) was drunk when we got there. We could easily smell alcohol as he was talking to us. Not a good experience. Plus, no one speaks English.

Fresh and authentic food! Friendly service. We were the only non-portuguese guests (in fact the entire restaurant was full of 60-80 year old locals), and had spare ribs and sea bass, both delicious. We also liked the white house wine, slightly sparkling and dry. Economic prices.

Comida muy rica con una relación calidad/precio inmejorable. Los pescados recomendados por el camarero geniales y todo con un ambiente muy agradable. De postre la tarta de queso casera está estupenda!

Chouette petit restaurant un peu perdu dans les hauteurs de Lisbonne...
Le patron est très chaleureux, les menus sont écrits en portugais/anglais/français, ce qui est très agréable.
Les plats sont plutôt bons, avec une mention spéciale pour le saumon, qui est savoureux et bien cuisiné.
Pour moi, le côté un peu désuet de l'établissement fait tout son charme !

Trop bon ce p'tit resto (cantine) aux spécialités typiquement portugaise (la dorade grillée est à tomber) et des desserts fait par la maman de la ravissante et si sympathique serveuse (idem pour le patron, côté sympathique bien sûr ). Le rapport qualité / prix est incroyable. Super, en toute simplicité !

Leckeres Essen, der Fisch ist super! Ansonsten ist das Lokal aber eher unscheinbar und der Service relativ aufdringlich. Vermeidliche kleine „Geschenke“ oder „Überraschungen“ kosten was und sind relativ teuer.

Situado em pleno CORAÇÃO de Lisboa, na mouraria bairro típico lisboeta. Onde nasceu uma grande parte dos antigos fadistas portugueses, serve se comida tradicional portuguesa Dr muito boa qualidade e serviços descontraído e de boa simpatia. Aconselho uma prova do pastel de bacalhau além de comer com os olhos são de excelência.

We loved this place & gave it a 5 for it's authenticity, local humour & fresh food. They didn't speak much English but that was just fun! Enjoy the genuine local hospitality that you will not get in a lot of other restaurants.

Very nice Restaurant! Very friendly staff, which helps and explained the food and drinks. We were warm welcomed whyle entering the restaurant. When they recognized we are from Germany they gave us the advises in German. The food is nice the atmosphere is outstanding and authentic. The food was delicious, the wine was great, the brandy as well. We had a lot of fun and will never forget this nice evening in this restaurant.

Petit restaurant d'habitués qui ne paye pas de mine de l'extérieur. Et pourtant, ambiance "cantine locale" garantie. Personnel très accueillant, on se débrouille en "franglais". Plat du jour copieux, et large choix à la carte. Prix complètement imbattables ! Moins de 20 euros à 2, pour plat du jour, bière et café !!! A ne pas rater si vous passez par là !

Great place. Authentic and tasty Portuguese food. The owner is very friendly and attentive. For those who want to eat well at a fair price and away from tourist restaurants, this is the perfect place. The desserts are delicious, I recommend the rice pudding and the cheesecake.

Seriously good food, eat very well for €10. Staff speak almost no English and the daily specials are all in Portuguese; so a bit of a food roulette for me (learn the words for meat & fish atleast)

This was by far our favourite place in Lisbon. Local food, very local atmosphere, inexpensive yet delicious meals, huge portions. The owner is quite a character, very friendly and jovial (despite speaking little English). He apparently makes the house wine -- we had the red and found it pretty decent -- and also his own grappa, which was amazing. The desserts are homemade and delicious. We ended up going there three evenings in row, the last night we got there ten minutes before closing time and still managed to stay more than an hour, the owner seemed genuinely happy to have people there.

Restaurante de boa comida portuguesa. Impera a simpatia do dono (Sr. Pereira) e dos empregados. Doses bem servidas com sabor caseiro. Pessoal simpático e profissional. Vale a pena provar o pastel de bacalhau e no final o arroz doce. Ambos são pratos característicos da casa. A nossa escolha recaiu no Bacalhau à Lagareiro e no salmão grelhado. Ambos no ponto certo.

Nach den Bewertungen hatten wir hohe Erwartungen. Das Essen war ok, aber nicht herausragend. Der Service war allerdings sehr freundlich und es hat Spaß gemacht mit dem Besitzer mit Händen und Füßen zu kommunizieren. Zum Schluss gab es noch einen portugiesischen Likör aufs Haus.

Went for ribs, they had none. My wife ordered the turkey steak with mushrooms, it was chicken with no mushrooms. We were shown a dessert menu with ten items, but only a few were available. It was a disappointment based on other reviews. On the plus side you get treated very warmly when you arrive and the prices are reasonable.

Essen rustikal aber wunderbar - auch viele Portugiesen die sich die Tagesmenüs Take away holen! Chef spricht kaum Englisch aber mit Händen und Füßen kann auch das eine oder andere Späßchen gut rüber gebracht werden :) Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

This is the place you go for good no-nonsense food. The place has been in operation since 1982 and it’s clear why. Three owners keep the food quality super high. The clams and the grilled perch were spectacular, I went back the next night. One of the grumpy looking owners ended up being super sweet and gave our 2 year old a lollipop at the end. Be warned no one speaks English - one friend of the family who does comes on Friday and Sunday nights at the moment.

El mejor sitio en el que comimos en Lisboa. Todo riquísimo, a precios muy asequibles y abundante; pero lo mejor el servicio: súper amables, intentaron que comprendieramos en todo momento qué era cada plato con una sonrisa. Repetiría sin dudarlo.

Que de bons souvenirs de Lisbonne grâce à ce restaurant ! Il nous aura fallu nous "perdre" dans les ruelles de la capitale du Portugal pour dénicher ce restaurant loin des attrapes-touristes !
Ne vous soyez pas intimidés par la déco qui n'est pas des plus glamours, ni par le fait qu'il y ait beaucoup de monde ! Les gens sont adorables : malgré nos faibles notions de portugais, d'autres clients sont venus à nous rescousse pour nous aider à choisir les plats. Ils étaient d'ailleurs très bons (je me rappelle encore de cette dorade et du riz au lait), locaux, généreux et peu chers ! En plus de cela, la gentillesse de nous offrir du vin.
Je vous le recommande chaudement ! :)

Had a nice dinner here. Great food not much ambiance, but usually places like this stay in business because they serve good food. We had an order of sea bass, a ham omelette, salad appetizer, half a liter of wine, and dessert, for 23 euros. This would be a $70 meal in the states. Doesn't look like much from the street and you have to walk through a little market to get to the restaurant, but a great food.

L'endroit est recommandé par un local. L'endroit ne paie pas de mine et ressemble très très fort à une cantine. Le serveur nous accueille en vitesse mais avec un vrai sourire. Nous avons bien mangé,sans être gastronomique pour autant bien sûr. 1 € la soupe, 6-8 € le plat, moins de 2 € pour 1/2 litre de vin maison (ne pas en boire plus :-) ) ou pour un dessert. En parlant de dessert, le bola de bolachas est divin...
Ne pas hésiter à s'y perdre...

Tout y est excellent, les plats, les desserts, le vin. La principale difficulté est de se faire comprendre et de comprendre la carte quand on n'est pas du pays. Faites confiance. Pour le reste c'est un lieu étonnant par le rapport qualité prix

Amazing restaurant that you absoluteluly have to visit. The prices are low, the food is insanely delicious and so is the wine. The host doesn't speak English but that made the experience even more fun. We were rather skeptical when we entered because we didn't know anything about the place, but it turned out to simply be a great restaurant where locals usually eat. I had the pork ribs which were recommended by the host, and my friends tried different dishes and everybody was super happy with the food. Again, I can't stress enough how great the food and atmosphere was, but keep in mind that it's a family run restaurant so don't expect tuxedo dressed waiters. Wonderful! Simply a wonderful place.
