Great barber shop! Walked in and was taken care of right away. He really took his time to do the haircut exactly how I wanted it to be. Good prices too.

Super barber shop! The staff is really cool, they know how to receive! I had Socratis taking care of my beard, I couldn't expect a better result!

Amazing old school barber shop . They take their time and get it perfect. The shop is very beautiful as well. I came here for hair cut and beard shave... the cost is €25. If you stay at the GSpot Hostel across their shop. It’s €20... with the discount.

Whilst I'm definitely not in their target market (59 with no beard, tattoos or piercings!) I was made to feel very welcome and got a fabulous haircut from Nico - and what a nice guy he is. The fact the shop is tucked away on a back street but its reputation is good enough to get people going there says it all. I don't hesitate to give it 5 stars

What a welcoming shop! All of the guys are super friendly with a special amount of attention paid to the haircut and service. Some people don't like sitting in the chair for over an hour, but the end-product is more than worth it! Sokrates taught me a lot of interesting things about Brazil and gave me a superb haircut that I couldn't be happier with! It's always nice to walk out of a barber shop and have learned something new!
The owner Miguel is a sound guy! Gave me some very useful information and gave me an insight to Portuguese hospitality!
It's a pleasure to visit this shop. A lot of attention has been paid to creating an aesthetic and an atmosphere that has to be experienced to be understood.
If you're looking for a top-class barbershop, look no further than Belarmino.

Waited a few days for my facial stubble to grow so that I could enjoy the experience of a cut throat shave. Went here today and was served by the young tattooed lady. It was obvious from the way she attempted to lather my face that she didn’t have a clue what she was doing. She put the shaving soap on my face but did not rub it into my skin properly. Then when she started to use the razor she took small flicks. I knew that things were not going to be good. She spoke to the barber and then she changed the blade. She made an absolute mess of my face. I ended up asking her for the razor and shaved my cheeks myself. She cut me and then had the audacity to ask for €13. I paid without arguing as I just wanted out. A blind man could have gone a better job with a hedge trimmer. Avoid at all costs.

Used to like coming here when they charged 12€ for a cut. Went back the other day and was charged 18€ ... They increased their price by 50% for 2019 so only tourists can afford it now. Well done

A great little barber shop in the quiet part of the city center. Easily accessible, great atmosphere, sweet haircut and awesome shaving experience. The owner loves Boxing, and the place pays homage to Portugese legends (in fact the name is the name of a famous boxer). I got my haircut from Flavio, spoke great English, gave a great haircut and did an excellent job. 100% would get a haircut here again, especially from Flavio.

Got a great hair cut today with Socrates, featured in picture below. Very friendly guy and skilled barber with great attention to detail. Takes the time to give a precise well detailed cut. The shop is nicely decorated with a traditional barbershop vibe. Visiting from Australia for the first time, I found this barber shop online due to its good reviews and it did not disappoint. I also enjoyed seeing their heavy use of Aussie brand Uppercut Deluxe. Enjoyable experience and will be back next time.

I had some time to kill before i could check in in my hotel. Flavio gave me a nice shave and cut and was an excellent host. He offered me a beer and shared his experience of his travels to Thailand where I am going to in a couple of months. I highly recommend going for a shave and a beer!

Best haircut ever! Super friendly staff. When we sat down in the chair we got handed a beer, no charge and for 20 euros I got my hair and beard done in a super pleasant way. My barber; Martha did an amazing job with smiles, laughter and high professionality. If I lived in Lisbon, I would be a regular here.

Always a bit nervous finding a new place when I move to a new city. Lucked out on this one. Got it exactly how I wanted it, plus you get to drink cold beer while they do their magic. Great service and attention to detail.

Flávio é um mestre da tesoura: corte impecável. Ambiente extremamente agradável com pessoas muito divertidas. Me arrependo de não ter cortado aqui desde que cheguei em Lisboa, porque o preço é excelente, o acesso fácil e cheguei a pagar duas vezes mais num corte que não é tão bom.
Flávio is a scissor master: impecable haircut. Extremely pleasant ambiance with fun people. I regret not cutting my hair here since I arrived in Lisbon as the price is excellent, it's easy to get here and I've paid twice as much on a cut that wasnt't half as good.

I found this shop after having multiple failed attempts to find a barber in Lisbon, thanks to google maps (ahem, fix your maps). But I’m so happy I walked past this shop. Super local chill vibes with an edge. If you like old familiar barber style shops, then this place is for you. They take their time and it’s worth it! I didn’t have a reservation but they accepted walk-ins. I put my name on a list and when a spot opened up they took care of me right away! Please go suppor this shop so it never disappears!!!

I had a great haircut and a shave. Cool vibe, friendly people, and made me feel right at home. If your from the states it’s easy to see that Floyd’s barbershops must have visited Belarmino and franchised it. This place if way better, smaller and most personable. I’d come back to Lisbon again just for the haircut.

Had a great haircut and shave! My hairdresser was very professional, she was accurate, attentive to my wishes and gentle, taking care of all the small details. The place looks super cool and the vibe is great ('50 Americana style). had to wait only 5 minuets although I arrived without reservation. The price is fair and all in all I had enjoyed the process and I'm very pleased with the end result.

I don't know what's wrong with this shop, but they were really unfriendly and really unprofisiionell. I don't write this review because I was not OK with the result, but to to take one hour to wait and another hour to see no difference is really sad. Just because u have tattoos and nice interrior, means not that u real professionals. :(

Um atendimento 5*, com profissionalismo e bom ambiente.
Um preço bem acessível para um barbeiro e é capaz de recomendar certos tipos de penteado explicando tudo o que faz. É um bom conversador - inclusivé em inglês - e tenta realizar o que o cliente procura.
Recomendo vivamente ou a fazer marcação ou a ir a horas de pouca afluência. O espaço é relativamente pequeno para o potencial que tem.
Sem dúvida, um barbeiro para voltar!

I live in NY and attest that this barbershop is legit. These barbers work with surgical focus on getting a great haircut. Bonuses for being super affordable (read: way way cheaper than your average US barber) and the meticulous interior design. One of the barbers speak English and the other does not. Speaking Spanish helps. You should come in here being able to explain what you want for optimal results.

the barber shop is old fashioned and very authentic. The vibes Miguel and Chico are spreading are truly unique. What can I say, its a barbershop - men get together and share a good laugh. With that being said, the cut that I got was one of the shittiest I have ever received in my life (no offense). It was not due to lack of skill I believe, more a lack of truly listening and trying to understand. Other than that, I even received a handwritten post-it note of places I can visit during my stay in lisbon, which was pretty nice.
Also I had an opportunity to learn how to not be dependent on my outlooks when I met new people, which is maybe not that bad of a lesson.

I read the excellent reviews here and tried to go on two different days but they were full at the end of the day. I hung out for awhile on a Saturday and got a spot. I didn't even mind waiting, I caught up on an audio book. The vibe is great, Chico is the man, and the haircut is the best I've had in a longtime. Chico is a master and explains his thought process behind the cut. Obrigado

Loved it. It is like a boys club, so book in advance. I didn't so had to wait for over an hour. But it's ok, they gave me some tattoo mags and a cold beer. Barber's are experts, no doubt. Will help with your style if you are seeking something new.

This is by far the best barber in Lisbon.
Really nice vintage 1950s/60s atmosphere.
Extremely professional and talented, just ask them for their opinion, and you probably get the best haircut you ever had ;)

This is hands down the best barbershop I've ever visited. The interior is inviting, with lots of funny posters and vintage stuff. But the best part were the barbers of course. Chico and Miguel are just so nice and kind. They speak very good English as well, since Chico grew up in London. He is extremely friendly and gave me the perfect haircut. I wish I could rate this shop 6 stars. Definitely recommend!

Belarmino is not only a haircut... It's something to experience to have in every way. From entering a quiet central location it takes you into a stylish setting that makes you want to look & take pictures... Unlike any other.
Miguel cut my hair, a cool commanding guy who makes you feel relaxed & gives an unhurried good haircut.
Coming from London, I wish I had this Barbers local to me! I will return!
