Good was extremely well done! I highly recommend the octopus tentacles, they were super tender and well seasoned, I also had baby squids and they were as good as the octopus. The view of the sea is a plus!
Didn't wait too long for a table (around 5min) and service was also good.
I would definitely come back to try the other dishes!

Magnifique restaurant et très bon service. Nous avions deux jeunes enfants (1 et 3 ans) avec nous et on leur a donné chaise haute et pain en priorité, nous avons beaucoup apprécié.

Great service and often described as the best seafood in Lagos. Overlooking Camilho beach, it has one of the best views in Lagos. The fish is all incredibly fresh and masterfully prepared.

Empfang mangelhaft. Man wartet trotz freier Tische sehr lange bis jemand sich Zeit nimmt einen Platz zu zuweisen.
Geschmacklich üblich gut in Portugal, aber nichts besonderes.
Leider auch sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet. Und da das Essen quasi kalt serviert wurde nochmals bis es dann heiß aber verkocht serviert wurde. Freundlich ja, aber insgesamt mangelhafter Service. Und ja es stimmt, für die Präsentation des Essens scheint keine Zeit zu sein, auch wenn man fast eine Stunde darauf wartet. Leider das erste und letzte Mal für uns, denn die Auswahl ist groß und sicher werden wir fündig.

Es war super lecker. Waren 2 mal dort. Empfehlung Tisch reservieren. Personal sehr nett und uns auch alles erklärt über Fische und mehr. Schönen Blick über den Atlantik.

Ótimo local! Chegamos em horário de muito movimento,mas fomos logo atendidos e já na recepção demonstraram empenho em conseguir a mesa para seis pessoas! Depois de alguns minutos de espera ficamos em um lugar excelente na varanda. O garçom ,João,deu boas sugestões para satisfazer adultos e crianças. Tudo veio excelente! A sobremesa com sorbet de limão estava especial!

Had two lunches here whilst having a short break in Luz. S
The location is superb, perched on cliffs above the amazing Praia do Camilo. If you can get a table in the terrace, this view is all yours.
As with everyone we meet in Portugal, the staff are amazing friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and great value for slight money. Any slight problems with our meals were rectified without fuss.
Two tips:
1) book in advance. We saw many a grump visitor get turned away as it was busy. We sadly couldn't have dinner here as it was funny booked.
2) try the swordfish and the octopus. Stunning!

In rush hours you have to wait 10-15 minutes to get a table, but is very civilized, they make a list of all the people in line. The food is great, actually delicious. The staff is always smiling and nice. The view is great also. I totally recomanded.

Nice view but rude staff. We stopped by for a beer. Once we were seated it took time for them to come to the table for the order and once they come (without the menu) they remind us that we cannot take long because there is a reservation on the table which is more than a two hours away.

We were waiting to be seated. An older gentlemen spoke to a few topless tourists in front of us in the rudest manner, it made me feel so sick. He then proceeded to completely ignore us for a further 5 to 10 minutes ( i might add there was exactly 4 to 6 people in the restaurant - so?!?) We didnt bother. Too much negative energy for us. I hope others have a better experience

Haben persönlich unsere Reservierung für den nächsten Abend platziert, da am Ankunftstag fully booked. Service war da schon gewöhnungsbedürftig.
Am Tag der Reservierung war der Start in den Abend holprig, nachdem die Lage geklärt war, war der Service sehr gut und motiviert. Wir haben St. Peters fish von der Theke gewählt- nach unseren Wünschen zubereitet. Nur mit Salz, gegrillt- ein Traum
Beilagen sehr reduziert- da der Fisch sehr groß war
Vorab pulpo gesteamt und anschließend sautiert mit Garnelen- sehr sehr gut
Der aufgeschlossene Kellner hat uns bei der Wahl des Algarve Weins gut beraten und uns den Fisch am Tisch filetiert.
Schönes Geschirr, modernes Ambiente mit Blick aufs Meer.

Unfriendly place if you want to make money then you have to work for it the price is way too high I can pay the same price in a much better restaurant and be served quicker and then friendly I hate having the feeling that I am just a tourist please leave me the money and go

Wir waren während unserem Urlaub zwei Mal da und es war jedesmal super. Die Bedienungen waren super nett und haben gute Empfehlung gegeben. Auf jeden Fall auch fragen welchen weiteren Fisch es heute gibt, der nicht auf der Karte steht, denn sie haben eine tolle Auswahl vom Fang des Tages. Beim zweiten Mal haben wir einen Tag vorher reserviert und das Fisch Cataplana bestellt. Es war lecker.
Viele Dank an das Team es waren zwei tolle Abende.

Amazing restaurant, the view of the ocean is breathtaking, the Maracujá juice is really good! Fair prices for the service and view. It is always super busy and many tables reserved so do one or be ready to wait quite a bit before getting a table. Recommended.

Maybe the best seafood I’ve ever eaten. Ordered three tiger prawns, each the size of lobster tails that we perfectly cooked, easily came out of the shell. Highly recommended. My girlfriend had the golden bream which was also incredible. All this combined with a green wine and lime pie for desert and we absolutely fell in love with this restaurant. Our serve was great too!

Service standard is extremely POOR throughout. Have been standing at the door for a while, the reception staff just can’t be bothered to take the guests to the table, despite asked a few times, when asked they just put on a annoyed face.
None of the other staff bother to come out to help either even it was not busy time.
The only thing that allows then this attitude is the location - being the only restaurant at a beautiful beach.
I don’t know if the owner runs the restaurant themselves but their staff is ruining the business for them!
I visit Algarve regularly, next time Id much rather bringing my own sandwich then paying them, they ruin my day.
I don’t care how wonderful others think their food is or whatever, it’s definitely shxt I think.

Lugar magnífico, restaurante pésimo. La mâitre nos ofreció una mesa muy arrogante y con aires de superioridad. Tampoco hizo bien su trabajo, nos señaló unas mesas y luego nos trajo la carta, si estás en un restaurante con un cierto estándar, lo mínimo es que nos acompañe a la mesa y nos acomode CON UNA SONRISA.
Luego vino el camarero, su servicio fue súper arrogante todo el tiempo. Vimos como actuó también con una mesa que teníamos al lado de una pareja mayor, y fue completamente incompetente. Los pobres le pidieron TRES veces un salero porque según ellos no funcionaba bien, y el camarero delante de sus narices demostrándoles que si que funcionaba que se lo quedaran (!!!!)
Después de 50 min esperando nuestra comida, olvidaron nuestro pedido y nos preguntaron de nuevo por lo que habíamos pedido. El camarero apenas se disculpó UNA sola vez. Por descontado no pedimos nada más.
4 copas de vino, 1 solomillo de ternera y 1 chipirones = 50€
La comida normal, la carne dejo bastante que desear y el pescado si que era fresco. hay lugares mejores por Portugal.

Além do visual do mar e da variada carta de bons vinhos portugueses, o cardápio oferece uma grande variedade de peixes e frutos do mar. Mas atenção, nao chegue sem avisar. O restaurante só atende com reservas antecipadas.

Everyone from the beach (I assume) use this restroom. Thought, that does not excuse it's poor condition. 1 out of 2 stalls didn't have a working lock, there was no toilet paper or paper towels.
In the stall that did have a lock you couldn't flush. Disgusting.
We only had a sangria and it wasn't great (frozen forest fruits and way too sweet)
Also, waited forever to get seated.

Poissons très bon mais très très long a être servis.... Notre exemple réservation 19h30 poissons devant nous 20h30. Ne venez pas avec des enfants vu la longueur on a même pas pris de dessert. Et les autres personnes se plaignait de la même chose!

Na porta de entrada do restaurante havia uma placa dizendo: “Aguarde para ser atendido “ (em inglês e português, os mesmos dizeres) ficamos aguardando por aproximadamente 15 min, mas nenhum garçom nos atendeu. O restaurante estava apenas com a metade das mesas ocupadas por clientes. Fui conversar com o garçom perguntando sobre a possibilidade de uma mesa e ele super arrogante é muito mal educado disse que só com reserva e se eu não havia lido a placa na entrada, eu ainda disse que a placa apenas pedia para aguardar e ele com toda rispidez e desdém disse que a placa quer dizer que não tinha mesa!!! Em nenhum momento da nossa viagem fomos tão MAL ATENDIDOS como nesse restaurante. NÃO RECOMENDO para ninguém.

This review is only for the coffee I had as I was just there to hide out from the rain. I had an espresso with a drop of milk and it was da bomb. Do people even say that anymore? But yeah, it’s the best cup of espresso I’ve had in Portugal during my short visit.

Die Lage des Restaurants direkt am Meer ist sehr schön. Die Einrichtung ist mittelmäßig. Die Fischauswahl ist groß und frisch. Leider ist die Zubereitung völlig fantasielos. Einfach auf den Grill schmeißen reicht eben nicht. Schon gar nicht, wenn der Fisch bis zur vollkommenen Austrocknung gegrillt wird. Schade um den Fisch.

Geweldige locatie met mooi uitzicht. Met de trap naar beneden en je staat op een mooi strandje met cliffs omringt. Wij hebben hier gelunched en we hebben hier echte het beste seafood gegeten!!! De oesters, tiger prawns en baby squid zijn echte aanraders. Echt geweldig, eentje waar je zo weer naar terug gaat!!!!! Locale schijnen hier hun verse vangst aan te bieden aan de koks. Dus altijd vers!

Man sitzt eng, relativ laut, Blick auf das Meer ist abends nicht mehr gegeben, da das Glas spiegelt. Fisch ist gut, wie in anderen portugiesischen Restaurants auch. Bedienung ist normal freundlich. Ein ganz normales Restaurant, nichts für einen gemütlichen Abend zu zweit.

We knew it's a very popular restaurant so we made a reservation in advance, but after we got there unfortunately the girl who answered the call didn't write us down, however the staff were very friendly and immediately placed us at a table. I had some difficulty choosing and the lady who served us nicely explained to my questions. I eventually ordered fish soup which was with enough qty as starter and very tasty. The octopus as main was cooked very well. My experience with octopus was that it always tasted like rubber, but here it was marinated and cooked so well, the meat was very soft and tasted just like meat. But for some ppl including me it could be too greasy in the end as they used a lot of olive oil. The qty was also a lot which made me so full afterwards. The egg pudding as dessert was a perfect ending. And my bf ordered strawberry with ice cream and trust me, their ice cream tasted like silk, so so smooth and soft and not too sweet. Anyway overall an unforgettable dining experience to end our trip in Lagos.

Good place with a nice view. We ordered only Irish coffee and it was good. We had a table for two with a great view at the sea. The personal was very professional and friendly. Our coffee arrived about 15 minutes after it was ordered, but we visited the place at around 13.00 which is launch hour in Portugal. Everyone is then lunching and therefore the restaurants are full.

Die bestellte Fischsuppe (Sopa de Peixe) 3,60 Euro mit Brot (0,70 Euro) und Mousse Chocolate hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Zwei Sterne gibt es jedoch als Abzug, weil die Kellner und die Kellnerin die Gäste im hau-ruck Verfahren mechanisiert abfertigen ... nach dem Motto „ friss und mach den Platz frei für die nächsten Gäste „ ... also so ist es mir vorgekommen. Ein nettes freundliches Wort wäre einfach angebracht.

We went to this restaurant when we were hiking around on the 22nd Dec ....What a find ...i had the grilled swordfish which was absolutely sublime cooked to perfection with the crispy skin and melt in the mouth flesh....my son had snapper which melted in the mouth so fresh served with a gorgeous mixed salad the service was on point and the views were to write a book about...after lunch you can climb down the stairs to the picturesque beach with the most stunning rock formations

Alors pour un début décembre et de nuit, le restaurant est très isoler, les construction autour et les lumière ainsi que la vie d'une ville vienne a manquer. Mais agréablement surpris qu'il soit ouvert a cette période. L'intérieur de celui ci est très sympathique et classe. Les serveurs se sont occuper de nous tout de suite et parlait plusieurs langues dont le français. La carte elle aussi était en francais . Le vin commander est arriver rapidement et était très bon. Les entrées elle aussi sont arrivé bien vite juste derriere. Mais première déception le fromage était présenté très simplement et n'était pas a mon gout (soit disant croûte se mangeais avec... Je ne le recommande pas ). En revanche la soupe de poisson elle était suculante. Puis les plats principaux sont arriver assez rapidement après avoir fini les entrées. Alors le poisson (dorade) était juste parfait, bien cuit et frais. En revanche les calamars était une grande déception, en effet la carte française ne précise pas que ceux ci sont frit !! Ensuite il n'était pas si bon que ça, mais le riz qui accompagnait les deux plats était lui très bien cuit et beurré. Bref pas de dessert car le tout était très copieux. Pour l'addition 41€ et des poussières (2 entrées et plats + 2 verres de vin et deux bouteilles d'eau), ce qui très correct !! Pour résumé tenez vous en au entrées et plat de la Mer, pour ne pas avoir de mausaise surprise. Je recommande le restaurant quand même. Surtout de jour, pour la vue sur la Mer.

The restaurant Camilo is always booked up because the food and location are top of the shop. However, there is one wee table that seats two people, located on a windy corner of the restaurant, that you might get offered, where other folk with breeze complexes seem to avoid. I've sat here several times and the worst it got was, my napkin blew away!

I would give it 5 stars if they would have a welcoming attitude. They have a great location, delicious food nice wine selection BUT no single smile , no single friendly attitude , no hello or good Appetit.
There is a heat between the staff make them unfriendly to each other and to the customers.
What a meal without feeling !!

Excellent lunch. Gets very busy so best to book or be an early bird. Attentive staff and good food. Had fresh fish grilled and a algarve cake for desert. Also a decent list of desert wines, ports, medeira. In fact for a beach type place the wine list is exceptional. Will come back when in Lagos. In fact I would entertain the thought of a 30 m taxi trip to get there. Memorable.

We called this restaurant and they were busy and unable to take our reservation for 2 but we showed up anyway and were seated right away. Food was delicious, service was excellent and great atmosphere! Very cool outdoor vibe. Fish is fresh and can be chosen from the display case. Highly recommend!!!

Não sei como classificar um atendimento pior que péssimo. Tentei por duas vezes entrar no restaurante sem sucesso. Nesta última vez faltavam 40 minutos para abrir a cozinha (sim porque eles encerram o atendimento entre almoço e jantar mesmo em alta temporada) e me dispus a aguardar e quem me atendeu já de cara com muita má vontade informou com rispidez que a cozinha estava fechada, e que iria verificar se tinha uma possibilidade de espera para o jantar. Na sequência meu marido questionou se havia “prioridade”, pois estávamos acompanhados de uma criança de colo e meu sogro de 70 anos e a atendente novamente mais ríspida ainda disse “prioridade do que se a cozinha está fechada? Só há prioridade quando há espera”. Obrviamente ficamos impressionados com a má educação e com muito bom senso anunciamos que íamos embora e a atendendo mal nos aguardou finalizar a frase e nos deu as costas e partiu. Enfim, a impressão que nos passou era de que não queria nos atender. O Camilo é um restaurante único na região praticamente e tem total monopólio da área da praia, o atendimento foi extremamente péssimo logo de entrada.

The stuff are very nice and professional. Location is a plus. The food was a bit. .. Sub standard. Golden Sea bream was not very fresh. Octopuses were over cooked and over seasoned. Steak looks came off a steamer instead of grill. It was well cooked to the spec (medium rare). However its colourless. Drinks are fantastic. The smoothie is very nice. I will go again during a quieter time, maybe the food will be better cooked.

Minha esposa tentou perguntar a uma atendente, pois procurava os sogros que estariam lá. Foi interrompida de forma grosseira por alguém que entendi ser a gerente, que limitou-se a dizer que "ela estava atendendo clientes" e praticamente expulsou minha esposa. Great service and friendly staff. The seafood was fresh and great value for money. We had shrimps, octopus, calamari , grouper and fish kebab. All the dishes were beautifully cooked and presented. Best desserts we have had in Lagos. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking. We had an outside table which was sheltered from the elements and there were also blankets provided if it got a bit chilly. Highly recomended.

El tiempo de espera. Tardan muchísimo en servir los platos. Si piden varios principales seguro que no saldrán a la vez. Hice la digestión entre uno plato y otro.

Traumhaft, besser geht’s kaum! Ein wunderschöner Ausblick auf das Meer in einem modern eingerichteten Restaurant. Der Service sehr kompetent und aufmerksam. Das Highlight war aber das Essen. Auf Empfehlung des Kellners habe ich die Baby Squids bestellt, einfach eines der besten Gerichte, das ich je gegessen habe! Wir kommen nochmal wieder!

It took us longer than 45 minutes to seat 12 people (including 6 young kids). It was worth the wait. The service did not disappoint. We were taken care of by a true gentleman called "Francisco" who spared no effort in explaining the dishes and quantities to help feed 12 hungry mouths. I eventually found out he is the owner.
Baby squid is a must have, as are the sardines and sea bream. All cooked to perfection. We even tried the barnacles, something I never thought I would do. And yet, we all loved them.
To finish off we concluded with espressos and homemade sweets. Perfect.
Kudos to Francisco and his team. Culinary highlight of the week.

Americans, please read: (anyone else too, but I'm speaking as an American) Food and staff are both great but be patient. Took us forever to get seated... Then forever to get our order in... Then forever to get our apps... Then forever to get our food.... Then FOREVER to get the check. All along there was a huge line of people waiting to be seated. As New Yorkers we felt bad that we were holding up others from eating but this is that magical combo of laid back beach culture + laid back European culture + not much interest in maximizing revenue per table ;-). So again... Be patient... And maybe have a snack before you come :-) (but do go, it's lovely!)

Nur der Service hat die drei Sterne erreicht. Von dem Essen war ich persönlich enttäuscht, vielleicht lag es auch an der Auswahl des Hauptgerichtes. Fischfilet mit Muscheln. Der Fisch und das Gemüse waren meiner Ansicht nur Tiefkühlkost. Die Vorspeisen waren erheblich besser. Wenn man wirklich Fisch essen möchte sollte man frisch von der Theke bestellen.

Caipirinha cocktail and the swordfish are pretty good. I'd never eaten swordfish before. Food and drinks all seem pretty good.
Unfortunately found this little guy in our portion of vegetables which kind of detracted from the experience... Although in fairness we were probably just unlucky.

Très bon restaurant découvert grâce au guide Lonely Planet. En effet, le cadre est magnifique avec une vue sur l'océan. Les plats sont très bons et bien présentés. Le service est chaleureux avec quelques mots en Français. Présentation des plats avec une carte en Français. Les plats vont de 8 à 19 euros. Vu la qualité des plats et du lieu, ce restaurant vaut vraiment le coup.
Avec un apéritif, un plat, un dessert et un café, le tout pour deux personnes, nous en avons eu pour 52 euros.
Par contre, pensez à réserver car le restaurant est souvent complet.

Excellent restaurant qui propose une large carte de 8e à 19e le plat. Plat, dessert, cocktail et café pour 2personnes à 52e.
Le cadre est sympathique avec vue sur la mer grâce à de grandes baies vitrées.

This place has amazing food, we ordered Prawn Salad and Fish Filet with Clams and Mousse Chocolate for desert and everything was delicious. All fresh , heaven in our mouth. The service was very good and professional. Quality of the food for the price we pay definitely worth it.
Must go if u are around. Sometimes is better just to book the table so u don’t have to wait.

Fuimos por los comentarios y tampoco es para tanto, reservamos como aconsejaban y habiendo mucho sitio fuera con mejores vistas vacío, un camarero un tanto borde nos sentó para el centro en interior del restaurante diciendo que ya estaban reservada, aunque nosotros también y nadie nos preguntó dónde queríamos sentarnos cuando llamamos 1h antes.

We had a decent meal at this restaurant on our recent trip. We were part of a big group and our server did a great job. Most of us had fish for both appetizer and main meal. I liked my appetizer but my main meal was somewhat bland. Ambiance was nice but it was a little hot where we were sitting on the balcony.

You should reserve a table, we were lucky and got a table without a reservation but all people behind us had to wait for some time. We were there for lunch at about 12:30 on a Friday. The waiters were not that friendly. The fish was good and the side dish was okay, I would not recommend the fries. The view from the restaurant is beautiful.

인종차별하던 직원은 사라진건가 매우 친절했다. 실내에 따로 화장실이 없는 줄 알고 일행이 공용화장실을 다녀왔는데 굳이 와서 안쪽 화장실이 깨끗하다고 알려주었다.

We had to wait 40 minutes to get in (such was the demand) but it was well worth the wait. It's a fine dining type experience but very affordable. There's plenty of fresh options and the restaurant overlooks the beautiful Camilo beach. The perfect way to end a day at the beach, just ensure you have a shirt/top to get into the restaurant.

We had 2 fantastic meals here. The first to celebrate my wife’s birthday, the second for the final lunch on our holiday. On both occasions the food was exceptional.
The views are wonderful so it’s a great place to have lunch but evening meals are atmospheric so I’d advise going twice!
The fish stew with clams is a must. It’s for 2 and to be on the safe side must be ordered a day ahead. My daughter had the steak, which was delicious.

You must make reservations especially for a group! Don’t walk up expecting to get a table right away! Hostess is busy but very helpful. Be nice to her. Great for seafood lovers as the fish is fresh as can be. They offer blankets at night when it gets windy. Dress for a cooler night even in the summer. Dress is a little fancier but not formal. T shirts might not be appropriate.
View is incredible for sunset!
***For vegans/vegetarians***, opt for the large mixed salad with the vegetables garnish on the side to create a yummy salad. Forewarning: the rice is buttered. The vegan meal saves you money for a fun drink like Moscow mule or Mojito

Environment is really nice, the food was amazing (try the misto algarvio for desert) but the best part is the staff. Super pleasant experience, I recommend to anyone.

Terrible unfriendly service. This place came highly recommended so we decided to give it a try. I waited “to be seated” for 10 minutes and got zero eye contact from anyone. Finally, I went in to make sure someone knew we were waiting and I was sent back out unceremoniously by the hostess. Food looked so-so and the attitude there is you should be so lucky if you get some. Seems like they rely entirely on their location which is okay but not spectacular. You are just close to the beach but also close to the public restrooms and parking lot.

Had a reservation for nearly three weeks, show up for a nice evening and they tell us there’s no reservation. Look back and see they booked us for the wrong evening (night before). No apology and disrespectful ambivalence and unwillingness to accommodate.

O Camilo tiene una ubicación privilegiada antes de la bajada a la playa Camilo en Lagos, las vistas son espectaculares! El local está modernamente decorado, la vajilla es lindísima. La comida estuvo muy rica, la especialidad es el pescado. La atención fue muy buena, rápida y esmerada. Los precios no son caros por lo que ofrece el lugar, podrían aprovehcarse dado que son la única opción. Lo recomiendo!!! es una grata experiencia!

Gutes Restaurant, mit Aussicht. Sehr gute Auswahl an frischem Fisch und Meeresfrüchten. Beilagen eher normal. Reservierung für den Abend unbedingt notwendig auch in der Nachsaison. Sonst höflich und bemüht aber nicht familiär oder so, dass man lange sitzen möchte.

Told 20 min wait time. More than an hour already and not seated. Hostess is defensive, aggressive, and out right rude. She still keeps telling people 20 min wait. Would not recommend. There's other amazing food all over Logos, with excellent customer service.

La meilleure dorade grillée que je n'ai jamais mangée.. Personnel très sympathique et toujours aux petits soins. Les prix restent très corrects au final. Un must si vous êtes de passage à Lagos!

Gragerbass estuvo aquí para intentar tomar un cafecito con hielo, pero después de los camareros pasar y no hacernos ni caso y pasar como media hora, tuvimos que irnos a otro sitio a tomarnos ese ansiado y relajado cafecito con hielo.

Todo muy bueno y a un buen precio para la calidad que tienen los platos. El pescado se nota que es fresco. El servicio muy agradable. El lugar es muy acogedor y con buenas vistas aunque fuimos de noche. Aunque reservamos tuvimos que esperar un poco, pero nos avisaron con tiempo así que ningún problema. Está junto a la playa Do Camilo en la que se puede pasar una buena tarde.

Repetimos para comer los 2 días que estuvimos en Lagos. Los camareros súper atentos. Servicio muy bueno y comida mejor todavía. Buenísimo el pulpo y los espetos de pargo. En verano, si llegas sobre la 13.00h esperas poco tiempo para entrar. A partir de las 14.00h te tocará esperar alrededor de 45min-1 hora.

Comemos peixe grelhado bem servido, excelente sabor e polvo assado que estava delicioso . Não tínhamos reserva e após 25 minutos conseguimos a mesa. Atendimento gentil por parte dos garçons. Vale a pena .

Very difficult to actually get a table. I had to book three days ahead.
After all that it was pretty average.
Made a good mojito, so not all bad.

This place is highly rated and also highly recommended by the locals. The views are just spectacular, the staff fantastic and helpful and the food is so delicious. We got the olives, fried shrimp and vegetable soup to start. Olives were one of the tastiest I have had so far in Portugal, the soup was hearty and the shrimp was so fresh. We got the fish fillets and the octopus with clams as our meal. It was the best octopus I have had l. So flavorful and tender. I could cut it with a butter knife.
I had the white wine sangria as well and it was very fresh and a perfect accompaniment to the food.
Only thing I would recommend is that you make prior reservations. We went there without one and had to go back the next day. We were lucky they had an opening.
Highly recommend it and would go back again.

This staff treated us really bad! They take advantage of the fact that it is the only place in the area.
First, we asked nicely if we can have a table outside. The woman with a clipboard (placing the people in the restaurant) said "no tables outside". Atferwards, we asked if we can sit at a table that will soon be free (we saw it outside). The woman started to yell at us that we should go away and wait by the sign and she will call us. Then, she continued to yell and told us we can sit in the sun and not moove the table. The excuse was they had reservations all over the terrace. When someone else came, she said they can wait around another 10 minutes to see if some reservations are cancelled. She did not offer this option to us.
She only yells at women, by the way.
The menu is not diverse at all.
Definetly not recommending the place!

Great location for the restaurant on top of the cliff with amazing view. The food is great, fresh seafood and also steaks. Prices reasonable. Staff is kind, however they could be faster. Make sure to book a table.

Nydelig fersk fisk og sjømat samt et behjelpelig, kompetent og hyggelig personale og godt vinkart gjør dette til en «strandrestaurant» utenom det vanlige. Anbefales på det sterkeste - vi spiste her gjentatte ganger i løpet av vår uke her. Utsikten er også noe for seg selv.

Jederzeit gerne wieder. Es ist sehr gut besucht und man muss sich auch mal auf Wartezeiten einstellen- es lohnt sich aber! Professionelle Bedienung, ausgezeichnetes Essen (Liebhaber von Seafood kommen voll auf ihre Kosten) sowie leckere Weine und eine Bestlage mit Blick auf das Meer. Parkplätze sind in unmittelbarer Umgebung reichlich vorhanden.

Peccato molto bella la location con 8 tavoli vuoti e la gente in coda in attesa di un posto quando ě arrivato il nostro turno il "gentilissimo" cameriere ci avrebbe fatto accomodare in un tavolo completamente al sole o niente, quando alla mia richiesta di spostarlo di un metro, dove c'era ombra, la risposta ě stata năo ė possìvel beh che dire....sotto il sole delle 14.00 ci mangi pure lei.

Saw good reviews so went to give it a try after a day on the beach. Plenty of open tables seen but took several minutes for the hostess to finally come over. She was extremely rude and condescending - didn't even greet us just looked us up and down. I asked for a table for two and she abruptly said no. We just stared back and her and she goes 'well if you want to wait for THAT table (pointing to a couple eating) it's going to be awhile! See they are just starting there main course'. She then just walked away without waiting for our answer!
No food is ever that good to be treated in such a way. We have eaten at plenty of other fabulous restaurants in the area with nothing but kindness from staff and locals. I would avoid this place.

If you love seafood this is the spot for you. Locally caught and sourced, you can't go wrong here. We went back two days in a row we loved it so much. Perched on the top of the cliff overlooking the water and the Algarve well worth a visit.

Remarkable seafood in Praia do Camilo. The restaurant is located right before the steps going down to the beach. The menu is primarily based on seafood but you find beef and chicken as well. I recommend picking a fresh fish from their daily selection. The waiter debones the fish for you. Price is fair and parking is available on spot.

Amazing location and high quality food and drink. However service was appalling to be honest. An older waiter (looked to a manager of some sort) was a lot more worried about setting up tables for the lunch rush then serving the customers he already had. He came across as quite rude and gave the vibe that he was just looking for someone who was going to spend more money to fill the table. Came out quite annoyed but if you were a wealthy looking family I'm sure you would have a completely different experience!

I was born in Maine and am seafood obsessed. I have had so much good seafood in Portugal, every meal better than the other. O Camilo is a superb experience. They serve the freshest fish, changing daily/seasonally, prepared simply and to perfection. It does not get better. If seafood is your thing, come here. A reservation is recommended.

Bom restaurante numa localização um pouco exclusiva, não há propriamente concorrência ao lado. É de esperar filas para conseguir mesa. A comida é boa. O atendimento mostrou-se competente. Infelizmente o único elemento do sraff que não estava fardado (dono? gerente?), esteve grande parte do tempo da nossa refeição a falar sobre aspetos da vida e do negócio, com uma cliente ao nosso lado que já devia ser habitual. Aspetos de um tratamento diferenciado que distraíram um pouco para aquela que poderia ser uma nota melhor. Mas no geral é um restaurante bastante recomendável.

Vistas espectaculares, es muy recomendable reservar si vas en grupos. Nosotros íbamos en pareja y tuvimos suerte de pasar al momento, pero los grupos tenían que esperar un poco. Eso sí, la espera merece la pena. La comida, la atención y el lugar son muy buenos.

Tolle Lage, tolles Essen, tolles Restaurant. Für Fischliebhaber eine sehr, sehr gute Adresse.
Der Fisch kann selbst ausgesucht werden, wenn man mag.
Hier hat heute einfach alles gepasst: Von der Vorspeise, über die Hauptgerichte bis zum Dessert. Und auch Service und der Preis waren unschlagbar.
