I can’t rave about this restaurant enough. From the amazing people that work here (Pedro is the best!) to the atmosphere on this cobblestone street to the fresh seafood... oh my word, the food. If you’re looking for traditional scrumptious Portuguese seafood, this has to be on your list of “must try”. The kitchen closes at 10pm so get there before 9 so you can take your time. My cousin and I ate there for dinner last night and will be heading back today to try the mixed seafood dish for lunch.

Amazing seafood! We ordered a mixed seafood platter for two, had shripms, seabass, salmon and some other fish. Was nicely paired with steamed veggies and potatos. Would recommend with some white wine! :)

They added €5,50 extra on our bill. We asked what the cost was about and they said for the table service. During our trip in Lisbon, this was the first time some restaurant charged us fee for table service.
Note, this fee was not for the bread because we told the waiter that we don’t want the bread and he took it away. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Un restaurant assez grand avec une grande terrasse. Des plats très bons, des produits frais. Je vous conseille la "Bacalhau com nata", traduction de brandade de morue, la leur est vraiment excellente! Des serveurs agréables, par contre vous le payer, plus de 11€ pour le service, le service est souvent inclus au Portugal. Par contre, ils offrent le Porto à l'arrivée mais, au final, on se demande s'il n'est pas compris dans les 11€ de service...

I would not recommend this places the food is pretty bad and they charge 5 euro for bread when other places charge around 1.2 euros. Also they dont tell you until the end of the meal.

Our experience here was less than acceptable. The looks we got from the staff let us know we were clearly not welcome. After ordering a few tapas we decided we should move on to another location. Upon reviewing the bill we saw a service charge we had not seen on any bill in the last week in Portugal. When we asked what it was we were told it was a tip. We were also told we should be happy because in America that would be 20% and he charged us less than that. A tip is something you earn by being friendly and helpful. A tip is not something you just get. Had we not felt out of place and unwelcome we would have tipped. We had 6 nights of wonderful experiences, it's a shame our seventh and final night was tainted by staff who clearly did not want foreigners at their tables. I've also translated the owner's responses to previous reviews. I suggest you read them before you take a seat here.

Cuando pasas el camarero super amable y te muestra los precios de la carta en la foto... después te sientas y te pone otra carta com precios más elevados. Te cobran la cesta de pan 2,5€ y el servicio 3,5€ automáticamente. El servicio malo y la comida regular. Todos los platos tenían aspecto y sabor de haberse hecho 5h antes. Ninguno estaba fresco, ni el atún a la plancha, ni las costillas y, ni las sardinas... os recomiendo probar suerte en otro lado.

Cobraron 6,60 € como "entradas" y no sirvieron ninguna. Pan cobrado aparte ni solicitado ni consumido. Pedí aclaración y me dijeron q era el servicio (en ningún otro restaurante de Lisboa cobraron en tal concepto). Lástima porque la cocina merece la pena y no creo que vuelva

El bacalao para 2 personas estaba muy seco y no traia la guarnicion correspondiente que acompañaba al plato.La ensalada de pulpo y el arroz con pulpo y gambas bastante insípido. Precio excesivo en relación a lo que comimos.

We can’t say enough good things about this place. Pedro, Paulo and the rest of the crew (family) were extremely friendly and helpful. Our Sea Bass for two was delicious with the fish being the highlight surrounded by fresh veg and potatoes. Of a total of 5 nights in Lisboa, we ate there 3 times with Paulo guiding our choices. We were told about the extra charge for bread, so no surprises. We hold great memories of our meals and chats with many of the staff.

The food was OK... The problem was the bread, chease and sardine paste just put on the table. The waiter says that you will only pay for what you eat. Send it back its over €20 for something that you would pay less than €5 anywhere else. Don't have the aperitif of white port, I thought it was free until I got charged €3.95 each he didn't mention how much they would cost.

Comida buena, pero te engañan cobrando un servicio de 9€ que no sabes el porqué... No nos han dejado pagar con tarjeta aún teniendo cobro por tarjeta aduciendo que en día 31 de diciembre y día 1 no pueden cobrar con tarjeta, vamos que nos la han colado, jajaja. Los trabajadores no te avisan y luego te dan largas, recomiendo buscar otras opciones.

Recomendo. Bom atendimento, boa comida, fresca e saborosa.
No meio de inúmeros restaurantes que se dizem de comida tradicional portuguesa que não corresponde à realidade, pois são todos restaurantes de indianos e marroquinos este destaca-se de todos os outros.
Restaurante cervejaria o melhor sem dúvida. Um restaurante que recomendo.

El encargado es un pelota que te la intenta colar con el quesito ese que te pone.. si no te lo tomas te mete en la cuenta 9 pavos de servicio de terraza y luego dice que es un pago voluntario y luego dice que te lo quita de la cuenta por que es el segundo día que vamos a cenar. Vamos un cara dura de cuidado.

事前沒有告知每桌有服務費，難怪非常的熱情...
我們點餐的時候，店員沒有寫下來我們點了什麼，後來朋友都吃完後才發現帳單不對，原來店員點錯了，詢問他他是不是上錯菜(朋友點的菜跟她吃的菜長很像，所以一開始沒注意到)，後來他開口就手指著我，說是我點的我點錯，但是明明是同行其他人點的菜，我點菜時連講話都沒有。總之非常沒禮貌，一開始裝作很熱情，一出事就怪客人還要收我們9.9歐的服務費。
我們也沒說不要付錢只是要告知他，他自己點錯菜了，卻換來這樣的態度，真的是有史以來遇過最沒品的店家與店員，希望大家不要被騙。

Awesome place. One of the few places in central Lisvon offering a good menu at a more than reasonable price. The staff are superfriendly and the restaurant is very nice. The "bacalao with nata" is a must.

Attention arnaque possible!
Cuisine correcte sans plus.
Par contre il y a à dire sur leur manière peu scrupuleuse de fonctionner.
Après avoir pris votre commande le serveur vous amène et vous pose sur la table sans rien dire le pain ,du beurre et quelques rillettes de sardine.
Y toucher même qu'un peu vous fera grimper la note car on a omis de vous indiquer que c'est payant.
Lorsqu'on vous présente l'addition regardez là bien car ils vous ajoutent 10% au titre du service alors que le service est déjà compris.
Et enfin quant on leur fait la remarque ils vous prennent de haut et ça été très difficile de se faire rembourser le service.
En conclusion je dirais en faisant référence à ce restaurant "attention vous pouvez vous y faire arnaquer".

We just ate here after passing by because only a few places were open after our all day tour. We looked at the menu they have displayed outside and it seemed reasonable. We ordered things that were on that menu (i.e. calamari) which was super small (like 12 small pieces max) when they brought it out. When we got our check the calamari was 6 more euros than advertised. We got two small bowls of soup and 2 glasses of wine in addition and it was 34 euro total... also we asked for house Red which was 15 euro ..? Really? Also, apparently when there’s a scoop of cold fried rice with the calamari that increases the price (we only found this out after inquiring ... apparently he gave us a “special” menu ... not the one advertised outside) ... we didn’t even want rice with our calamari ... they don’t even go together. This is the first review I’ve ever written because I don’t like to waste my time on them but seriously don’t ever go to this place. Just awful.

Le repas était bon mais sans plus. Faites attention car ils parlent un peu trop vite et à la fin vous pouvez avoir des sourprises avec la note. Attention surtout au mix de poisson et après vous payerez la grillade de poisson.

This is my brother's restaurant, the guy on the street told us. His brother has a menu in all languages with so many different dishes, I wonder how any of it is fresh. Lunch for 2 with beer and water is 50-something euros. I got the special he recommended, it was oily rice with duck pieces and tiny pieces of chorizo.

Este restaurante expõe na rua imagens de pratos com preços aliciantes.No entanto, na lista que facultam no interior do estabelecimento não consta nenhum menu com os preços apelativos com que atraem os clientes. Quando se questionam os funcionários sobre esse facto, não apresentam argumentos convincentes. Tivemos essa experiência neste último domingo e, só não abandonamos a sala, porque tínhamos duas crianças, uma delas bebé, e, a logística que as mudanças implicam, dissuadiram- nos de o fazer. Apesar da qualidade da refeição ter sido boa, não recomendo, porque discordo da estratégia enganadora de atrair clientes.

A waiter offered us a menu on the street and asked us what whe wanted. We told him we only wanted beer and he showed us to our table. Then another waiter came and after we had given him our order he asked us "what about food?". After we told him we only wanted drinks he looked at us baffled and quite angry. Seeing his reaction, we asked whether it was okay? "No, this is a restaurant, people come here to eat".

One star because the food was edible and also because I can't give zero. My mistake - should've known better than to come here because it's clearly a tourist trap. Prices on the menu seemed reasonable but once we got our bill we were asked to pay 2.45€ for one bottle of water and 3.90€ for "service"? What the hell? You will get a menu with different prices if you are not local. If you can eat McDonald's just go there and don't waste your time

Worst place I have ever been! I had the paella, with overcooked shrimps and undercooked mussles. At some point I even discovered some surimi. As being said before a total tourist trap

Conto salatissimo con antipasti aggiunti senza neanche averli ordinati e mangiati!
Personale pressante e sfacciato!

absolute tourist trap, bad quality food, our neighbors paid 27 Euros for cheese , butter and bread offered by the restaurant as a starter, all totally disappointing , bad face of a nice and relaxed town, this kind of businees should be stopped to avoid a bad image of Lisbon

I had the mixed seafood platter which was huge and quite reasonably priced. It was ok. Place is touristy but waiter was very nice to me.

We ordered steak and codfish. Both tasted awful. Codfish was very salty. When I asked about it, the answer I got was "It is a salty fish". As mentioned in prior comments, the waiter switched the menu on us as well. We will never ever go back again!!!

As someone here already said: this place is a tourist trap. They leave on the tables one menu with really good prices, but as soon that you take a seat they hand you another menu where the prices are higher. I noticed that locals that were seat behind me received a different menu. Very wrong policy with tourists. Don't go there.

This place is a tourist trap. They show you a menu at the door that has reasonable price and when you get in, they present another menu which they say are "fresh Atlantic fish". They charge 5€ for a small piece of cheese and 2€ for the table bread. I had a cod fish which was very salty. The chips which came with the fish was drenched in oil. The house white wine was flat, smell and taste wise, costed 4.95€. They charged about 10% for service which was not good. I would not recommend this place.

Relación calidad precio bastante baja, típico restaurante para turistas, platos baratos pero complementos y bebidas caras.

Il servizio è veloce e preciso, parlano un pò di italiano, spiegano che l'antipasto verrà messo nel conto solo per quel che si mangia, le portate squisite ed abbondanti, buoni i prezzi, fresco il pesce al momento del conto ti fanno elenco e aspettano di sentire se le portate inserite sono corrette. Piatto consigliato il baccala alla mignotta(non quell italiana, come viene precisato)Veramente consigliabile !!
