I took the tour with Yuri. Really impressive: the passion with he describe Lisboa, deep knowledge of the history and perfect english make it a must have introduction to Lisbon.

Just finished the Alternative tour with Margarida. Her infectious energy and her obvious love for street art and Lisbon made this one of the best tours I've done ever. Lots of laughter, aha moments and just fun all around. Highly recommend this tour for the offbeat and properly local (I think our group made for the only tourists I saw for 2 hours) sights of Lisbon.

If you visit Sintra, you'll realise immediately that it is impossible to resist its charm.... But with Claudia as your guide, the best storyteller ever, you will wish the tour never ends! Fantastische tour met een enthousiaste gids (Mariana) met veel kennis van de historie van de stad en het land. Wij vonden Sintra dankzij deze tour nog mooier!

We took 3 walking tours with them - Alfama, Lisbon centre and Belem. All were amazing. Alfonso took first 2 tours and his knowledge of Portugese culture and history is amazing. He would take you to the great viewing points where you can take amazing pics with Lisbon in background. He also gives you his recommendations of restaurants and other things to see. I must also mention that he took the first tour in spite of the rain and just 4 people turned. Andre took the Belem tour. He gives you a lot interesting tidbits about Portugal's navigation past. He also gave us a tour inside the Pastise be Belem. I will highly recommend Take Lisboa for their amazing guides.

Acabamos de llegar a Lisboa y por la tarde hemos pensado hacer el tour del CENTRO de Lisboa. Ha sido magnifico, estábamos cansados y se nos ha olvidado el cansancio de todo lo que hemos aprendido! We did the fado tour with Mariana. Was just the two of us and she was so full of passion and great stories. She even sang for us and it was so beautiful. An experience we will never forget!!

I have done it whit Yuri, it was fantatic, the guide was really energic and competent for all tipe of information abaut the city. The tour permeted us to discover an other shape of Lisbon. I suggest to do it before leave the city.

We had a very nice tour with João about the history of Lisbon citycenter. I can totally recommend him.

I did the "Free Tour Centre" walking tour of Chiado and Bairro Alto with Sara and it was great. The tour was history focussed and detailed but in an accessible manner. Sara has a fresh and amusing way of telling historical stories.

El martes hicimos el tour de Alfama con Carolina y es de las mejores cosas que hicimos en Lisboa. Carolina es perfectamente bilingüe, tiene muchísimo bagaje cultural, un excelentísimo conocimiento de Lisboa, su historia y sus tradiciones y muchas ganas de compartir el encanto de la ciudad. Gracias a Carolina descubrimos cosas muy bonitas e interesantes que sin su trabajo habría sido imposible por nuestra cuenta. Un saludo desde Sevilla y mucha suerte Carolina!!!

Took 2 tours with the company. Loved the Belem tour. The guide was knowledgeable, fun, gave us a lot of history and facts. Totally loved it. 5 stars for this tour. Then why the 3 star rating you ask - The guide on the Sintra tour not only exaggerated most of the historical details but took us to a cafe (across from the old palace) for break and said "People we all know Casa Piriquita makes the best Travesseiros in Sintra but if they are the only ones making it how do you think all these other places are selling it? Yes, they all get it from Piriquita. You are better off getting it here rather waiting in the queues at the original store". We didn't buy her words and guess what, the same evening we go to piriquita, have the yummy travesseiros and check with them to learn what they make is only sold in their store. Makes me think what other historical facts she quoted during the 3 hour tour were really true. Hope the company trains their guides to stray away from false statements as such.

I participated in two tours with take lisboa. One was in Sintra and one in the center of Lisbon. I enjoyed both a lot and give here my recommendation. The tours are free walking tours, so you pay at the end as much as you want. Keep in mind that this needs to pay the tour guide and the agency. The tours all last 2.5 hours with 15 min toilet break and are in English or Spanish. They have great tour guides that give you a lot of background knowledge in an interesting and humorous way.

I really enjoyed the alternative free tour that Take Lisboa offered. We went to the Graca neighborhood which I'm sure I would otherwise have never seen, and we saw tons of great street art along the way. The highlight for me were the ones by Shepherd Fairey (Obey). Learning about the culture of street art was really cool. Yuri was a great guide and great storyteller. Definitely recommend.

Hemos hecho cuatro tours con esta empresa y muy bien con las tres guías que hemos tenido. Tanto Mariana, como Rita, como Beatrice han he hoy un trabajo excelente. Recomendables 100%

First time with Take Lisboa and João, and he gets a 5 star review 6 if he had given me an ice cream ;-) he definitely made my day better, and he is really god with kids, the tour was informative and fun, under way you also get recommendations for food, drink and places to go, I went for Cabo do Roca.

We did the Fado tour with Mariana. My partner is really into music and loves good food so this tour was better than just going to a restaurant and paying big for a mediocre meal and 20 mins of fado. Mariana is a fado singer and tells the story of fado, stopping at key locations in it’s history and singing songs to illustrate the stories. I had tear in my eye more than once. The music is so raw and emotional. We were really happy with our choice. The night ends with a singalong in a local bar with a glass of vino verde - so bring along enough Euro for the wine (very cheap ) and a good tip for Mariana - because she will have earned it.

I've been on many free walking tours around the world (probably 30+) and they're in most cases very good. Guides always have to try hard because that defines the tip they will get in the end. But I must say that Joao did more than brilliant job! His amazing approach to us, very well knowledge and the skill to keep us constantly focused to his talks are something that I don't find quite often. He really showed us some secrets of Lisbon and I'm sure that these places are not included in other tours. In case you read this, thank you Joao!!!

Great tour! We took the walking tour of Sintra with Sara. Sara was a great tour guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Portugal and Sintra. She took us to different castles and sights in Sintra, including Piriquita for their famous pastries! Sara kept us engaged with history and questions. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did the Alfama and the heart of the city tour . Great guides . Great walk. Very informative and fun .i would recommend it to everyone visiting Lisboa and wants to know more. Yuri and Afonso are just amazing !!

We had an great tour with Yuri today on the “Alternative Tour” which was invested by him. Nice “off beaten path” tour with focus on street art and plenty of nice spots and views.

The guided tour was below avarage (comparing with "free walking" tours in other european cities); The presented information was very simple; I believe it might attract tourists from overseas (with limited knowledge on European history and culture); in my opinion not really attractive for an EU/European citizens. Those are not "passionate", "locals, but just guides who learned some stuff about the sights they talk about. The guide was sympathetic and approachable though, so if you are up for a nice stroll around a city and don't have high expectations, go for it. Watch out for siging up per email as they share your email with other tour participants (without telling you in advance)

We did the Take Porto tour (doesn’t have an active google page yet) with Pedro and he was an absolutely fabulous tour guide. I would recommend this 100%, specifically with Pedro in Porto!

Fizemos o tour em Sintra, dura em torno de 2:30 horas e a guia Mariana foi contando a história de Sintra no qual os reis estavam envolvidos, afinal moravam na cidade. Sua explicação tem uma forma didática, alegre e muito divertida. O tour finaliza com uma bela vista e com um fado lindíssimo cantado pela Mariana. Valeu muito a pena. Recomendo muito fazer, pois terá uma visão histórica da cidade. A guia te ajuda a montar o roteiro com o tempo que você tem disponível em Sintra.

La última semana de Septiembre disfrutamos de nuestra estancia en Portugal e hicimos dos tours con Pedro en Alfama y Belén con Marta que fueron muy interesantes y amenos.Las visitas y los guías fueron estupendos.
