Who ever wants to go home after a lovely holiday? And I really don’t wanna go home after staying here. The hosts are super friendly, the cakes left out for guests throughout the day are AMAZING (can I get some recipes, please? ), and the location is great. A bit of an uphill walk after going to the mercado but worth it. Came here to celebrate turning a year older and I might just have to come back here again!

Well situated very close to the metro stop and the popular neighborhood of Chiado. It's also located on a quiet street. Our room was beautiful with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. Bed and pillows were absolutely perfect! Wonderful breakfast with many options including homemade cakes and fresh-squeezed juices is included. I'm planning to come back next time I'm in Lisbon.

This is BnB heaven. Really loved my stay here. Perfect reception and lovely staff. Wonderful breakfast and daytime snacks as well as a drink shelf of various local Port wines to sip at your leisure in the living room! Also, the rooms are stylish without being too modern or gaudy. I appreciated the quality sheets and pillows. And finally, the lemon tree garden with pool is a little tropical Oasis in the middle of the best part of Lisbon. I will be staying here again.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. The 18th century house is beautifully renovated inside and out and is the perfect place to stay while in Lisbon. I can't recommend this place enough. Every need was catered for by Roberto and Sara. They really did everything possible to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable and the freshly baked cakes were wonderful. Thank you so much.

AMAZING!! I did so much research on where to stay for our honeymoon in Lisbon and ended up picking here. If you are looking for a cute BnB with breakfast ever morning and Portuguese port wine and coffee available for your tasting at anytime, don’t look any further! The staff is super helpful and provided tons of recommendations as soon as we arrived. Plus we were able to check in early after our early flight which only made our experience even better. We will 100% stay here next time we are in Lisbon!

Ciao amici viaggiatori, nel nostro viaggio in Portogallo abbiamo scelto questo B&B per la tappa a Lisbona e ci è piaciuto molto. Prenotato qualche mese prima per email, abbiamo saldato il tutto in anticipo al nostro arrivo e quando abbiamo fatto il check in siamo rimasti colpiti dalla precisione di Roberto, due cartelline con il dettaglio del pagamento, mappa della città e tutto l'occorrente per poter sfruttare al meglio il B&B. La struttura si trova in pieno centro di Lisbona e non avrete bisogno dell'auto, nel caso però, come noi, viaggiaste in auto hanno una convenzione col parcheggio limitrofo, che va prenotato tramite loro e a cui potrete sempre accedere grazie a una tessera. Abbiamo optato per due camere superior con terrazza e ne siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti, sia per le dimensioni e comodità delle camere che per la bella vista sul giardino interno con piscina. Le camere sono davvero ben arredate e curate, ben amalgamate al contesto storico del palazzo (senza ascensore, ma vi aiutano senza problemi con le valigie). Stupendi sia Sara che Roberto nel rapporto con gli ospiti, al mattino ci aspettava una stupenda colazione a buffet con ogni ben di dio e torte fatte in casa; la chicca era però alla sera il bel salottino in stile, con la possibilità di rilassarsi sorseggiando un bicchierino di Porto o Muscatel. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo, sarà la nostra base per i prossimi viaggi a Lisbona

Magnifique hôtel ! Une chambre parfaite. Un salon pour lire avec un petit Rhume entre les doigts / Une cour extérieure avec des petits gâteaux (attention je recommande le FONDANT AU CHOCOLAT !!! ) / Une sieste sur un transat ou un petit plouf dans la piscine. Les deux patrons frère et sœur sont des anges ! On a envie d'y rester encore de ne pas quitter ce paysage loin du boucan..

Wir verbrachten 4 Nächte im Casa do Barao und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Hotel ist ein kleines Juwel mitten in Bairro Alto, der Garten eine Oase. Man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Sara und Roberto sind wunderbare Gastgeber, so einen herzlichen Empfang habe ich noch in keinem anderen Hotel erlebt. Die Gemeinschaftsräume sind sehr gemütlich und die täglichen hausgemachten Kuchen haben uns jeden Abend versüßt:-)Wenn ich 10 Sterne vergeben könnte, würde ich das von Herzen tun. Ich kann das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen und würde jederzeit wieder buchen.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the city. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Wish they had more nights available for us to stay! Can’t wait to come back next time we are in Lisbon.

Un piccolo gioiello nel cuore di Lisbona. Accoglienza perfetta, prima colazione di alto livello, camere confortevoli anche se piccole. Alcune hanno un bel balconcino sulla strada principale da cui si gode la vista dei bei palazzi antichi di fronte. A pochissimi metri dalla centrale piazza de camoes, cuore nevralgico del bairro alto, in cui ci sono famosi caffè, un posto taxi, il metrò e il famoso tram 28. Un giardino interno, la piscina,la sala biblioteca ed un curatissimo giardino completano la struttura, che è arredata con mobili antichi e pezzi di design d autore. Personale gentilissimo.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison d'hôtes. Pour commencer l'accueil de Roberto et Sara est extrêmement charmant et prévenant tout en restant naturel. Les parties communes sont très agréables, avec des coins cosy, d'autres plus lumineux, un joli jardin ombragé et une petite piscine pour se rafraîchir en été. Notre chambre (premium avec véranda) était sublime, avec une excellent literie, les photos ne lui rendent pas justice. Enfin, le petit déjeuner était très bon et la présence de gâteaux, thé, café toute la journée est un plus appréciable. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter ! Il y a deux points d'amélioration mineurs: la pression de l'eau chaude à la douche, et le confort des chaises et fauteuils de la terrasse (qui privilégient le design).

Casa do Barao is amazing! The rooms and common areas are beautiful, the breakfasts were fantastic (I especially loved all the homemade baked goods) and all of Sara’s recommendations were great.

A gem in the center of Lisboa. Great location in Chiado, the house is intimate and beautifully done up with cozy common areas, and a very lovely garden with lemon trees. Friendly service, complimentary cakes and coffee around the clock, and breakfast is a delicious buffet.

Un vecchio fabbricato nel centro di Lisbona completamente ristrutturato in modo molto intelligente conservando l'anima del posto. Un luogo in cui sentirsi a casa. Molto ben gestito, pulizia, cortesia, professionalità. Open bar con torte fatte in casa e "porto" offerti dalla casa. Tutto ottimo

I think the best place we have ever been!! Had a wonderfull stay together with my girfriend. The arrival was very nice, Roberto gave us some great tips and made us feel very welcome in Lisboa. Sara also was a lovely host and always ready to help. Complimentary (homemade) cookies / pies / brownies / coffee / tea /Port / musqat. We also got a free upgrade of the room, very kind. Everything looks beautifull and makes you feel comfortable. Breakfast is very very nice, everything is fresh and it looks good!

Unterkunft in bester Lage! Sehr aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Gastgeber die viele gute Tips für Lissabon parat haben. Das ganze Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet ein reichhaltiges, ausgewogenes Frühstück. Tee und Kaffee stehen ganztags kostenfrei zur Verfügung, andere Getränke gegen geringe Gebühren, zudem stehen nachmittags Kuchen und Kekse zur freien Verfügung.

We loved our stay at Casa do Barao! Roberto and Sara were wonderful hosts, the room was beautiful, and the daily breakfast and treats were delicious. We loved the neighborhood - we felt safe, there were great restaurants all around, and easy access to public transportation. We would absolutely stay here again!

What a place this is! Somehow balances being right in the middle of things without being in the tourist trap. The interiors are spotless and beautifully decorated and the outside garden is lovely and quiet. The pool is perfect for a dip in hot days and you forget you're right in the centre of a busy city. Roberto was a perfect host, can't recommend this highly enough. Hope to return in future.

We LOVED Casa Do Barão! It's a wonderful escape in the middle of Lisbon, offering a quiet refuge and access to one of the cities coolest neighborhoods. Sara and Roberto were very helpful with recommendations, reservations, parking and whatever else we needed. Breakfast in the courtyard is fabulous and hands down my favorite part was...those room terraces though! Highly recommend Casa Do Barão!

Excellent location close to Baixa-Chiado metro station and Cais do Sodre train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere were peaceful and relaxed. Breakfast was good, complimentary water, Tea, coffee, cakes and Porto wine were available. Beautiful garden and even a small swimming pool. Rooma are spacious and clean.
