Etablissement refait avec beaucoup de goût, super bien placé. Le petit déjeuné est plus que correct, le personnel est souriant et agréable, rien à redire à part lisolation des chambres qui est un peu légère. Super séjour dans cet hôtel !

Das Hotel ist echt super! Sehr zentral und doch ruhig. Nähe Metro, Electrico und Bussen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und mit Flair eingerichtet. Kaffeestation im 1. Stock.

Létablissement est très propre , le personnel est accueillant et disponible et serviable . Le principal grief est lascenseur qui sarrête au 4eme quand on réside au 5eme . Encore une chose , le petit déjeuner un peu sommaire . Sinon cet établissement est fort bien situé .

É muito calmo e bastante acolhedor. O staff tbm é muito simpático. E a comida, embora não seja a melhor coisa de mundo está longe de ser má. É apenas 7 em 10. Mas no geral recomendo. Bom sitio para conviver e petiscar.

It was very short stay.. I loved the space - lathe rooms with wooden floor... there was construction next door and the tram is basically running under your window.

The Hotel is placed so you can walk to all places in midt Town a big Bonus ;-D.How ever the noise from tram from each side of the Hotel was very disruptive. The church bell every hour did not make the nights better. If your not a heavy sleeper dont chooise this Hotel. Wooden floors, you could hear from all other rooms when your neighbor walk above and around you.

Excellent location, lovely friendly staff, nice first floor lounge area on first floor with tea, coffee making facilities and fruit and biscuits. Lovely large rooms and bathrooms, comfy beds made up daily with fridge and safe. Struggle to fault it though was some noise from other rooms, running water, TV etc. Wouldn't stop me returning though. Plentiful buffet style breakfast with freshly squeezed oranges. 4.5 out of 5.

위치가 좋고 프론트 직원이 무척 친절하며 1층에서 묵었는데 공용공간이 마음에 들었음 다만 트램 지나가는 소리나 다른 방의 소음, 진동이 잘 느껴지는 편이며 조식은 아쉬움

Adoramos passar uns dias nesse hotel aconchegante. Fomos muito bem tratados e a localização é perfeita, tem acesso a todos os pontos de Lisboa e a todo o centro histórico da cidade. Os funcionários do hotel nos trataram com carinho e deram todas as orientações de como nos locomover nessa linda Lisboa. Foi maravilhoso!

Was there in October 2018. Check-in ready at 4pm (which promises earlier will be ready by 2pm). Great location got a room on 3rd floor, decent size with en-suite. Bit dusty here and there. Stayed for 4 nights. Toilet smells sewer! Maybe because the renovation works next door?
Nice reception staffs anyway.
Don’t leave your small changes anywhere coz housekeepers might thought that coins are for them (tips). Happened to us 2 days in a row.

Really great location within easy walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops, metro and train stations, and the Praça do Comércio. The room was quite spacious and very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the 24 hour reception was really convenient for us as we had to check out quite early. Only downside was it was not very soundproof between rooms, we could hear our neighbours all night.

El hotel está muy bien situado y es moderno. La habitación es amplia y acogedora. Pero, sin duda alguna, el punto de calidad lo ha puesto el personal. En particular, Pedro, uno de los recepcionistas. Nos ha explicado con todo lujo de detalles qué visitar en la ciudad y cómo hacerlo de la mejor manera. Su trato ha sido excepcional, así como sus recomendaciones. Muchas gracias.

It’s a nicely updated hotel, in a great location. There’s lots within walking distance, including a metro line.
The aesthetic is great, but if you’re very particular about cleanliness, there were some scuffs on the walls of the room, and the shower tiles had some mould.
The floors are wood, so you can hear people walking around above you, and you can also hear people in the common areas.
The bed was cozy and comfortable, and the staff was great! The pictures online were a fairly accurate representation of my room (on the first floor). Overall, I’d definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. The hotel is in a great location, the room was spacious. All of the reception staff were very good, apart from one daytime staff member. She was unprofessional, suggesting when we complained about noise from new guests in the room above ours that we deal with it ourselves. Fortunately, the night receptionist said he would deal with it if we had any issues.

Lo mejor la hubicacion, y el personal muy amable.
Pero la limpieza no muy buena s mancharon las sabanas y no las cambiaron y el hotel cuando entras huele un poco como a humedad, la tapa del vater estaba rota, pequeños detalles que lo desmerecen.
El ascensor no te deja en las plantas si no entre ellas así que o tienes que subir o bajar un tramo de escaleras.
Con todo por eso si tuviese que volver podría repetir sin problema .

It's okay, the rooms are not soundproof and we could hear other people showering and the staff cleaning and knocking things around. However, the beds are very cosy, the receptionist was very nice and the location is very central.

Hôtel de Premier choix, situé au centre de Lisbonne : notre Coup de Coeur absolu de 2018 . Une équipe chaleureuse et multilingue , qui est à vos Petits Soins. Buffet du matin à volonté qui ne laisse rien a désirer. Chambres et espaces communs modernes et accueillants ; cerise sur le gateau est le coin de repos commun avec gateaux, fruits et Café à Disposition de tous 24h/24h. Le top!

Bon côté: Hôtel bien situé en plein cœur du centre ville.
Mauvais côté: qualité de l’hotel très mauvaise, chambre chère pour ce que c’est. Ensuite si vous aimez les petits déjeuner cette hôtel n’est pas fait pour vous car il est en plein dans l’entrée à l’intérieur (pas de terrasse) et on n’a pas beaucoup de choix! Enfin dans la chambre beaucoup de choses sont cassées (mini bar, climatisation, cuvette et douche)!

Un super hôtel, un endroit qui est vraiment bien placé dans lishbon (ouaip prononciation à la portugaise désolé)
Proche métro, proche tram (à l'ancienne ) et proche alfama
Chambres bien isolées phoniquement, assez grande pour un couple , super salle de bain et possibilité de prendre thé ou café à toute heure
Personnel parlant français, anglais, italien, portugais ( wow c'te révélation), sûrement d'autres langues mais je n'ai pas tenté

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeitende. Sehr sauber und ordentlich. Das Frühstück muss für den Preis nicht sein, Supermarkt- bzw. Großmarkt-Lebensmittel zu dem Preis sind dann doch zu teuer. Sehr schön ist das man sich hier jederzeit im Aufenthaltsraum Kaffee oder Tee zubereiten kann und Obst und Kleingebäck nehmen darf. Leider ist es eine "Nespresso-Kapselmaschine" also der Umwelt nicht sehr zuträglich, nicht Nachhaltig. Evtl. bitte ändern.Anregungen der Gäste oder Schadensmeldungen werden umgehend umgesetzt bzw. beseitigt.Die Mitarbeitenden geben auch sehr gerne Tipps und Ideen für den Aufenthalt.Toll währe es wenn man bspw. Postkarten, Postwertzeichen oder auch Fahrscheine für die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel vor Ort kaufen könnte.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, so dass fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Es ist schön eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist zwar klein, es reicht jedoch vollkommen aus. Was mir weniger gefallen hat, war der Lärmfaktor (dünne Wände, quitschender Holzboden, ab und zu vorbeifahrende Auto). Dazu muss ich jedoch sagen, dass ich dazu neige hellhörig zu sein.Zudem war der Käse und die Salamisorten in einem Behälter. Das ich nicht so schön finde, da sich die Gerüche vermischen.Alles in allem kann ich das Hotel dennoch sehr empfehlen. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Lissabon.

Unser Zimmer war nett hergerichtet, allerdings hatten wir Schimmel und im Bad war der Boden kaputt. Außerdem war es sehr kalt und in der Nacht war es laut. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

In an excellent location and a lovely old building. Staff couldnt have been more helpful or friendly. I had the breakfast on one morning and was very happy with it.The rooms could maybe do with a paint refresh and the shower could definitely use some anti-mould spray around the base!

Das Hotel ist schön, sauber, perfekt gelegen und gut ausgestattet. Leider ist es nicht so gut isoliert, so dass es im Zimmer (variiert vielleicht je nachdem), sehr ringhörig war und die Zimmernachbarn oben und von nebenan gut hörbar waren (föhnen, herumgehen, Türen).

The staff was very nice and helpful. The property was right in downtown which makes it close to everything all directions. The building is old but was expected. What they could have done better was give each room a fresh paint job as you can see old stains. It would also be nice to have a chair and small table in each room.

First night subjected to swerage smell in a room not having another ( need to repaire that ASAP) but the test night were ok as room changed.

There was a swerage smell in room 502 where we had to endure the smell as no room available on 1st night. 2nd night onward the same problem in the bath when room changed but at least had a bathroom door to close and turn on air-condition. They know the rotten floorboard with urine leak but turn a blind eye. A regulatory authrity should make thrn not to rent such a room. In the 1st room evenan open widow and drectional aircondtioning not effectivr. Otherwise ok especially breakfast was sufficient. There was a rude reception on 2nd night returing to the hotel but we had to bear with her. The next day the original day receptionist was apologetic and very helpful. Overall ok apart from the smell it is ok 3 star b&b. I will not return anyway. Nor recommended.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist perfekt. Sobald man vor die Türe geht ist man schon in der Stadt. Besonders gut hat uns die Aussicht aus dem Balkon im 4. Stock über Lissabon gefallen und die moderne Einrichtung unseres Zimmers. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und Hilfsbereit.Wir würden jederzeit wieder dieses Hotel besuchen :)

The room was spacious and very pleasant, the staff excellent. In essence a much better hotel than what 3* rating implies. Except for the breakfast - staying seven nights and seeing everything exactly the same every morning is not great. Even more so when some of the stuff is also not of a great quality.

El hotel tiene muy muy buena ubicación, a un par de cuadras de Rua Augusta la calle peatonal. El personal del front desk muy amable, La limpieza del cuarto regular, no reponian los productos jabon, etc. cuando se acababan, quien atendía en el desayuno no muy amable, en la recepción vimos una cucacracha, el desayuno regular mas bien malo, el café sabe a nescafe de polvo

Walking distance but I think the price is a bit high for this property.Just one advice to other travellers, if you get the room # 305 please check the bathroom first.Otherwise all good.

The room was ok...definitely needs some paint and there was a stain on our throw blanket. Also we were on the 5th floor which means you walk two flights of stairs...and the light occupancy sensors must not have been working because no corridor lights came on which was weird. Had to use our phones to see. Location is great, staff was very nice.

The rooms are not cleaned well - our trash cans weren't emptied, the shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months! The breakfast is mediocre at it's best.
On the plus side, the receptionist am&pm are nice.

LADRONES , Me han robado una cámara profesional , llamé a la recepción para pedirles información sobre mi camara , ellos dijeron que mi camara estaba en custodia de la recepción del hotel y dijeron que ellos guardara mi cámara hasta que volvería a por ellas , yo resido en Egipto y ellos se niegan a realizar un envío postal ,incluso haciéndome cargo yo de los gastos , meses después he viajado exclusivamente de Egipto a Portugal para recoger mi camara en este hotel , cuando llegue , ellos me dicen que mi cámara ya no está allí, fui a la policía a poner una denuncia , tengo todas las conversaciones grabadas ,emails y toda la información en la que el personal del hotel me transmiten que mi cámara la tienen ellos guardada . Y ahora meses después sigo esperando por mi cámara, despues de haber gastado mi dinero dos viajes hacia esta ciudad para recuperar mi cámara, ahora van a hacerse cargo ustedes de todos los gastos de desplazamiento , daños y perjuicios , delito de robo , y obviamente los gastos de mi nueva cámara fotográfica con sus correspondientes accesorios y mis afectivas fotos personales .

Un sitio muy bien ubicado en todo el centro y a 3 minutos de la estación de metro Baixa Chiado. La atención de recepción fue buena y la habitación doble perfectamente equipada y limpia. El hotel tiene mucho encanto e incluso ofrece café y té de cortesía en zonas comunes. Tiene disponibilidad de desayuno continental por 8€. Recomendable al 100% para visitar Lisboa y alrededores.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im "The 8" in Lissabon. Hervorzuheben sind die super freundlichen Mitarbeiter, die uns viele tolle Tipps gegeben hatten. Das Zimmer war zwar klein und hellhörig, dafür aber hübsch eingerichtet, sauber und die zentrale Lage ist perfekt für einen Citytrip. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen!

La ubicación del hotel es excelente. El personal del hotel súper amable y con un servicio muy eficaz. Además, pudimos reservar un coche privado que nos llevó al aeropuerto a las 6 de la mañana por 15€. Un detalle: tienen un living room en la primera planta que es súper bonito y tranquilo. En general fue todo perfecto y nos hemos sentido como en casa.
El desayuno no es un gran buffet, sin embargo es más que suficiente para empezar bien el día. Incluye pan, croissants, zumos, mermeladas, café, fruta. etc.

Op 1everdieping is een huiskamer met koffiecorner. Jammer dat t apparaat opeen gegeven moment kapot was.
Vriendelijk personeel, 24/7 iemand bij de receptie.
Kamers schoon, eenvoudig. Goed bed. In badkamer rook het een beetje muf, houten vloer, iets aangetast door vocht.

Super chambres très spacieuses. Hôtel très bien pour un couple sans enfants. Attention il y a d'importants travaux de rénovation de façade à côté de l'hôtel... Très bruyants nous avons regretté d'avoir réservé 10 nuits .. Impossible de se reposer la journée. Sinon hôtel très bien situé

Good location in the middle of old and new. Modern clean rooms. Open common area with coffee and fruit. They let us in early, which we greatly appreciated! And the staff was incredibly friendly!

The 8 was an amazing place to stay. The hotel is very well reachable, the staff very friendly, and the overall look was as a hotel should look.
Our room was part of a booked package, so I cannot talk about the price, but the facilities have been better arranged than many other hotels I visited so far.
I really have no negative points about the hotel, we stayed for 4 nights.

Rooms are on the small side, but perfectly enough place for 2 persons. Always clean and tidy, 24h reception, 24h available coffee and tea. Breakfast is good, simple food well cooked. The look of the hotel on the inside is cosy and lovely. 10/10 would stay here again.

O staff optimo, profissional e muito simpático. O quarto 503, ultimo andar, tivemos de subir 2 lances de escadas com malas pesadas o que não foi agradável. O quarto a precisar de manutenção, as paredes brancas muito sujas até as da casa de banho, o ralo do chuveiro não escoa bem e ficamos com agua ate tornozelo. Peq almoço muito fraco. As fotos da net não correspondem.

Estuve por trabajo. Muy confortable, habitación amplia, baño amplio, moderno, suelos de madera. Se oye el tranvía y las campanas de alguna iglesia cercana, pero nada desagradable. El único punto es que el ascensor para en la entreplanta, por lo que toca subir y bajar escaleras con la maleta.

Dieses Hotel befindet sich unmittelbar neben der Fussgängerzone mit vielen Restaurants und Einkaufsläden. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar. In unmittelbarer Nähe ist auch die Metrostation, zwei Bahnhöfe, Tourimusinfocenter und Haltestellen von Sightseeing-Tour-Busen. Das Frühstück hatten wir n den umliegenden Kaffees eingenommen. Der Eingangsbereich mit der Rezeption ist etwas eng geraten, aber mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern besetzt. Wir hatten ein extra grösseres Zimmer gebucht und das war entsprechend geräumig und modern. Das Bad war sehr sauber und sah wie frisch renoviert aus. Der Teppich vor dem Bett war fleckig und von mir aus überflüssig. Die Räume sind angenehm hoch mit einer gut funktionierenden Klimaanlage. Bei offenem Fenster hört man die Strassenbahn oder am Sonntag das Läuten der Kirchenglocken. Die Räume sind tendenziell ringhörig und die Duschen aus anderen Zimmer hörbar. das wird aber alles durch due zentrale Lage wieder wettgemacht. Der Aufenthaltsraum im ersten Stock ist sehr gemütlich und der Internetzugang immer gewährleistet.

das hotel liegt sehr zentral. leider ist momenten nebenan eine baustelle und dort wird bereits ab acht uhr gehämmert. das zimmer hat leider gemüffelt. das personal ist sehr freundlich. das wifi ist sehr langsam.

The biggest complaint was our air conditioner was dripping and I woke up to a puddle on the middle of the floor. If I shut it off it was way to hot so we had to keep it on but it dropped all night which made a loud sound every time it hit the hard wood floors so it was hard to sleep. Also the elevator only goes to 4th floor and the staircase are very narrow so warning carrying large luggage was a big pain because we got put in a room on the 5th floor.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and this is our experience:
Only good points were location and reception staff attention, on the other hand very noisy room, bad internet connection and several problems with maintenance and cleaning staff (we found a dettached screw in the floor and we asked staff to fix it, after 3 days it still pending to be replaced, also we forgot a bag with personal belongings after check out and we come back after an hour and it has been dropped away). Conclusion, several details should be improved in order service quality matches matches with room price.

After a few 6 nights here is my conclusion.
Positive side first.
1.Excellant breakfast.
2.Nice bed linen.
3. Spacious room and good storage.And large bathroom.
4. Very well situated and quick access to public transport.
Negative side.
1.House keeping virtually non existent floors not cleaned and bathroom floor not swept for 4 days.
2. Front of hotel is very dirty (see pics) Staff can't be bothered to sweep or pick up rubbish.
3. Main staircase (also fire escape) is very dangerous as steps uneven.(IF I hadn't held my wife's hand she would have fallen down one flight of the staircase.)see pics
4.Hotel maintenance non existent as one flickering hall lights left unrepaired for 4 days.
Conclusion
It's nicely situated but for the price of the rooms I suggest the management should pull there finger out and get to work on rectifying these problems.

We have discovered this hotel by accident looking for a brunch place. Great selection of food like salmon, ham, cheese, eggs and delicious Portuguese pastries! All comes for the price of €12:-) Bon Appetit!

Love the location and the very easy to sleep in beds and large bathroom. Also like there's a communal area to make hot tea and coffee whenever you want. Only gave it four stars because you cannot sleep in due to the creaky floorboards!

LIKES (a lot): Excellent location away from touristy hotels, easy walking everywhere, Elevador Casteleria opposite. Tram & bus stops all around.
Premium Room worth it for space (larger than hotels at same rate) & view.
Warm, friendly service by receptionists.
Guest Lounge - cozy.
Overall, a good value.
DISLIKES (but the LIKES outweigh these): It didn't live up to the photos & descriptions in some ways...
- insufficient soundproofing in windows, tram noise comes through loudly.
- bathroom fittings were low quality, won't survive much use, i.e. flimsy tub, TP holder coming off, etc.
- seems like DIY project with varying levels of quality/functionality, not professional design.

Wir haben 2 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht (Double room cosy). Die Zimmer sind extrem grosszügig, lichtdurchflutet und sehr modern eingerichtet. Das Bett war riesig und das bequemste Bett, dass wie je in einem Hotel vorgefunden haben. Hotel befindet sich an bester Lage (ca 5 Min von der Metrostation Chiado) und gleich neben dem Elevador Castelo. Dort befindet sich auch ein Supermarkt, wo man sich verpflegen kann (wenn nötig bei so vielen Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe). Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und war immer hilfsbereit. Im 1. stock gibt es für Hotelgäste Kaffee, Tee, Kekse und Früchte gratis. Einziger Nachteil: Frühstück mit 8€ sehr teuer für die kleine Auswahl. Jedoch nixht weiter schlimm, denn man kann sich mit den vielen Pastelerias gut verpflegen am Morgen. Wie würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

This hotel is in the perfect location to explore Lisbon. The decor is stylish and minimalist with the most amazing vintage furniture. Staff were really friendly. Unfortunately we only stayed one night.... well be back!!

Hotel klein und sauber, schönes Zimmer mit Klima und TV, Aussicht auf den Innenhof, aber nicht relevant ( den ganzen Tag unterwegs), tolles Frühstück, nettes Personal, 5 Min Fußweg zur U-Bahn mit super Verbindungen, fantastische Stadt mit so vielen Facetten und Gesichtern, einfach losgehen und von einer Sehenswürdigkeit zur nächsten stolpern, Tolles Klima im August! Ozenarium unbedingt ansehen, aber Pulli oder Sweatshirt mitnehmen (es ist wahnsinnig kalt dort!) 5 Tage einfach zu wenig, 10 wären besser. Achtung in der Innenstadt: Taschendiebe und dreiste Versuche von Drogenverkauf, POLIZEI ist präsent und arbeitet offensichtlich dagegen. Werde sicher nochmal dort Urlaub machen.

Die Zimmer waren extrem hellhörig.Zugang via lift nicht möglich da die Ausgänge auf den Zwischenetagen waren. Obere Stockwerke mit Lift gar nicht erschlossen. Beim ersten Zimmer war der Gestank vom Abfluss nicht auszuhalten. Erst nach zwei Tagen bekamen wir dann ein kleines Zimmer in den unteren Stockwerken. Welches so klein war, dass man sich kaum bewegen konnte. Es war noch hellhöriger da es in der Mitte des Gebäudes lag. Doch das highlight kam zum Schluss als sie uns das downgrad nicht einmal auf der Rechnung berücksichtig haben, da wir ja das Hotel über eine online Plattform gebucht haben. Wir sollen uns da beschweren. Was wir hiermit auch machen.

My stay here was okay, the rooms definitely looked much bigger and better online. When I arrived the AC was off and wasn't working so my room was so hot.
It is very much apartment like rather than hotel but lovely bathrooms very spacious and great storage room.
I ordered food which gave me a very runny stomach the next morning however so a mixed stay.

For short stay The 8 is ideal. Small hotel but comfortable rooms with great bathrooms. Good places nearby to have breakfast rather than the continental at the hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful position in old Lisbon

Ich würde das Hotel sofort wieder wählen, auch wenn es von der Strasse her etwas laut ist (Tram, Menschengekreisch etc.). Das Empfangspersonal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist o.k. Vor allem, weil es in der Umgebung tolle Cafés gibt, wo man gerne einkehrt. Auch mit tollen Restaurants wird man verwöhnt. Zu der Einkaufsstrasse benötigt man keine 2 Minuten zu Fuß. Also wie gesagt, die Lage des Hotels ist top.
