Отличное атмосферное место с вкусной кухней, но мы брали только petiscos и вино. Фадо слушали первый раз, шикарно!! Для информации, фадо поют не постоянно, а по 3-4 произведения с перерывами по 20 минут. Ещё бы люди не разговаривали во время перформанса музыкантов, было бы вообще прекрасно.

아니 여기는 내가 말하면 자꾸 2분만 기다려달라고 하고 옆 테이블에서 말하면 금방 됨 ㅡㅡ 인종차별이심? ㅡㅡ 패키지에서 단체로 와서 너무 시끄럽고 자꾸 조용히하라고 이야기하는데(공연하는 분들이)도 시끄러움 맛도 있는 것도 아니고 진짜 짜증나서 여기 글 씁니다 ^^

No hemos probado la comida simplemente fuimos a escuchar Fados y tomar algo. Lugar
clásico que evidencia haber tenido un gran pasado de fama pero que en la actualidad seguramente haya quedado superado por un concepto más moderno y actual del Fado.
Totalmente prescindible y seguro que hay lugares en los que se puede disfrutar de Fadistas contemporàneos.Es cuestión de encontrarlos.

I went as part of a tour group. The port was good, the white wine decent. The service was busy but ok. The food had a decent selection and was tasty. The chicken main course and dessert was a highlight. The Fudo show which was the main reason to go was solid. They used 3 players and 4 singers in rounds. It gave you a good taste of the music. I would recommend.

Agradable y con buen ambiente. Se pueden escuchar fados mientras se cena, aunque lamentablemente no todo el mundo lo hace con el respeto adecuado. Es un sitio muy turístico y con vinos caros.

Llamamos por que queríamos ir a ver el fado, y preguntamos si para tomar algo se podia y nos dijeron que no había problema, llegamos allá y nos sentaron y nadie no arbitrio que la consumición minima por persona era de 17€, son mal educados y groseros! 한시간 남짓 파두공연을 봤는데 밥값이 좀 비싸도 용서될 만큼 가슴울리는 공연이었습니다
음식은 양이 많은편이라 우리는 두명이 46유로 세트메뉴 1개와 스타터메뉴 하나 더 추가해서 먹었고요 와인도 잔으로 시켰습니다
계산하실때 조심해서 보세요
와인 두잔을 두병으로 계산해서 다시 계산서 받았습니다
고의는 아니었던것 같으나 잘 살필 필요가 있는듯요
조금 짜지만 맛은 무난했습니다

単品の料理はレストランより高いですが、それでも平均的な値段だと思います
平日の夜21時だったので空いていて、間近でファドを聴くことができました！素晴らしかったです！

전반적으로 만족스러웠고 미리 예약하고 가서 파두 공연을 정면에서 봤음. 8시 20분쯤부터 공연을 했었는데 파두가수 1명 당 3곡씩 부르고 한번 공연에 2명의 가수가 올라왔었음!! 음식과 와인은 괜찮았었으나 가격대는 비싼 편이라고 느껴졌으나 공연을 위한 비용까지 생각하면 괜찮다고 생각됨. 다음에 리스본에 온다면 다시 올 의향이 있음

This is an absolute gem of a place, and I recommend it if you’re in the mood to explore Fado in Lisbon! Felipe the manager is a total cad and known to jump in, performing and flexing his own Fado bonafides. The space is intimate and cellar-like and if you’re lucky, you’re in a small group enjoying the performance, which is not unlike walking into a smoke-filled, close basement of a soul club to find Alicia Keys doing an impromptu bit at the piano. The food is decent, but you didn’t step in here for a bite. You stepped in to experience Portuguese soul music.

다들 음식맛이 별로라고 해서 최대한 기대 안하고 가서 다행이었네요..
그치만 공연은 기대를 많이 했는데 생각보다는....

Restaurante de gastronomia sofisticada, com amplo cardápio de refeições acompanhadas de vinhos portugueses agradáveis aos mais apurados e exigentes paladares.
A fachada do prédio é pouco atrativa, escondendo um ambiente aconchegante, com estrutura do prédio que nos dá a impressão de voltar no tempo das tabernas medievais (sem nenhum tom pejorativo), porém com decoração mesclada com telas de arte contemporânea.
A distribuição de aparelhos de som nos proporciona ouvir com ótima qualidade e num som ambiente a boa música ao vivo que imprime a alma portuguesa do Fado, despertando a curiosidade de querer conhecer mais essa expressão cultural muito bem representada no restaurante que é digno do nome ao qual foi batizado.
O preço é mediano, mas ao mesmo tempo acessível para aqueles que desejam testemunhar uma experiência positiva, podendo se dizer que o lugar representa muito bem o povo português.

A bit expensive for a meal but a good way to sample Fado music as a performance. The food was good, reasonable priced wine is available, just a pity that they charge 7 euros for a bottle of water! Music/singing started around 8.10pm and finished around 9.30, for a break of 30 minutes before starting up again, apparently. The waiters have a rather formal appearance, but are really rather helpful. Easy to access, near the top of one of the funicular lifts. Enjoy.

C était une expérience magique. Les chanteurs étaient envoûtants, nous ont donné des frissons et fait couler quelques larmes d émotion. La nourriture était tout à fait correcte. La clim était allumée et un peu trop froide à mon goût. Apportez votre petite veste!

Food was terrible, and extremely overpriced. 7 euros for a coke what a joke! We were told at the door there was a minimum spend of 27 euros and then we were charged for additional items which were incorrect and only changed when we asked. This place is a tourist trap and should be avoided.

You are honestly mainly paying for the music, we were 5 at the table and 3 of our meats were over cooked. The menu is far too expensive for the price and some times even the portions are too small depending on the very small ranges of dishes. Service is not quite up to par and it took us 20-30 minutes to only order the food after receiving the menu. However the music was nice but if most of your party don't enjoy the music it can really drag down the experience.

Delicious food and wonderful fado. We were struggling to find a classy fado establishment, and very glad to have picked Cafe Luso.
In short, tasty food, a great mix of fado singers and superb guitar playing, and attentive service. And of course, with traditional Portuguese surroundings - arched brick roof, candlelit, and good acoustics.
Coming to any fado establishment, you should expect pricey mains (€30) as you’re not paying separately for the fado. To start we had garish prawns which were large, followed by Cod Gratin and Steak Portuguese Style. Both mains were extremely tasty, although strange to serve the steak with crisps (only reason I’d consider dropping to 4 stars). Large selection of bottles of wine priced around €20-25.

Servicio pésimo, restaurante caro respecto a la calidad que ofrece, los platos tardaron más de hora y media en llegar, se cayó una copa de vino en la mesa de al lado y al pedir algo para limpiar nos dieron una servilleta para que lo limpiásemos nosotros mismos. Intentaron cobrarnos unas copas de caba que creíamos desde un principio eran de cortesía. Clara trampa para turistas. Lo peor es que al mostrar nuestro descontento nos dijeron que no nos hubiéramos comido los platos que una vez comido no podíamos reclamar nada. Jamás volvería a ese lugar

공연이 진짜 최고입니다. 여러명 가서 1인당 46유로 정찬, 21유로 와인 1병 먹었습니다. 공연 때문에 전혀 아깝지 않고 오히려 저렴하다는 생각이 들 정도네요.
음식은 나름 공들여 만든것 같았으나, 한국인 입에 맞는다고 할수는 없었답니다.ㅜㅜ

Место, где просто надо слушать фадо. Три исполнителя (две певицы и певец) в сопровождении трио (португальская гитара, виолина и контрабас) мило исполняют фадо. Если понравилось - можно купить диски с записями. Кухня нормальная - вкусно. Конечно, с ценами немного перебор (горячее 35 евро), но можно взять вино и горячие закуски по 17 евро и насладиться пением. Бронь столика лучше сделать заранее. Есть минимальный чек на одного - 27 евро, но вы его выберите, вне всяких сомнений.

공연은 정말 좋았고 음식은 생각보다 나쁘진 않았는데 그 돈 주고 먹기에는 좀. 그래서 와인을 많이 마셨고 어쩌다가 물도 주문했는데 너무 비쌌다. 공연은 너무 좋았는데 1부도 보고 2부도 기다렸다가 봤는데 그 날의 아티스트는 같고 곡 구성만 달라지는 듯.

Excellent food, excellent music and excellent service. People were super friendly and food was worth every penny we paid. We ordered menu 4 and 6 and experienced real Portuguese food. Totally recommended if you're up to having a fine dine experience.

Of all the places me and my partner have watched Fado this was the best experience we had. The vocalist took the time to introduce himself to use and we learnt he had been performing here for over 20 years as well as around the world. The service staff and wine were fantastic and the building is beautiful. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Para turistear. La comida normal y carita. Los fadistas en general bien. Los músicos mejor. Si tras un día de gozar en la maravillosa Lisboa, aterrizas a cenar por allí, déjate llevar y disfruta del embrujo del fado si te gusta. De la cena no esperes mucho. Very expensive restaurant, 35€ for a dinner plate, we order the shrimp rice and the Cod.Shrimp rice was tasteless with no flavour at all, the cod was ok but they used a lot of mayo to flavoured.For drinks a glass of wine is 6 euro and a beer is 9 euro. Overall expect to pay more that 100€ for 2 people.The show was enjoyable if it weren't for the bad taste of food.Also they will seat you away from the show if you dont have a reservation or if a waiter needs more people.in his area to serve.

Entramos a escuchar fado, por recomendacion de un captador en la puerta. El servicios de los camareros muy ràpido, las copas carisimas. La música bien però tocaban 3canciones y hacian descansos de 30minutos .La verdad nos decepciono tanto tiempo de descansos y espera. Particularmente no lo recomiendo.

I wish that I could say my experience was wonderful. If the staff had been polite, it absolutely would have 4 stars. The food is nice, they offer typical Iberian style dishes and the local salted cod. The wine is okay, and it goes well with the food. But beware the rude staff. Our table had ordered our meals. The waiter brought round salted cod before the seabass, and he ended up with an extra salted cod. Instead of taking it back to the kitchen, he irritability remarked that "one of you definitely ordered the cod". The correct number of sea bass arrived during this episode, and the waiter with the cod walked away saying "it's screwed up already". English was not his native language, so I can only assume he wanted his guests to hear. The fado singer scolded the entire restaurant into complete silence while our soup was being served, as she could not sing with so much as a single whisper or something like that. And a waiter dropped silverware into the silence that followed and she marched away. Also, what I found most unfavorable was their lack of concern for dietary restrictions. My mother is allergic to dairy, and restaurant was notified in advance of our arrival that her meal was to be made separately. A small placard with a no dairy sign in Portuguese was placed in front of her, yet the main meal and dessert were made with butter and cream sauce/custard!! And the gluten intolerant couple did not receive any accommodations.

El lugar es bonito, el servicio está bien pero la comida es malisima. Pedimos arroz con mariscos y carne con pure de boniato y ambos platillos carecían de calidad, sabor y preparación. Lo positivo es que los vinos tienen buenos precios y cualquier vino portugués es muy bueno.
Los cantantes de fado no son tan buenos como esperaba.
En general fue una velada decepcionante.

Place is always packed from what I have heard. The food is good and service is ok although they messed up our groups order. Four of us ordered veal but we're served fish. It was later corrected after we complained. The entertainment was great with 4 great singers and three talented musicians. Two glasses of wine per person came with our order. Another person in our group received a bottle of wine for her trouble of receiving fish instead of veal like us (although we did not get a bottle of wine at all for our trouble having to wait for our corrected order). I would give them 5 starts if not for the mixed up orders.

Sono i classici locali dove ti portano i tour operator quando acquisti un tour o un escursione (classifica speculazione turistica) baccalà passabile, la carne dura e sembrava un bollito....49,00 a testa per una qualità mediocre, quantità quasi zero (considerando anche le portate del Portogallo).......praticamente paghi i cantanti.....niente di che è ingrassi i tour operator. Bocciato!!
P/S abbiamo mangiato ovunque nel Portogallo, buono, quantità e prezzi ottimi.

This place is a tourist trap. The tables are packed with tour bus groups. They even have a shameless sign with each company on the tables. The food was not very good at all. We didn’t eat most of it. We traveled Portugal and Spain for 10 days and it was by far the most expensive restaurant by a mile. I would not recommend for the food. The fado singers were excellent and put on a great show.

5 stars for the food and 3 for the Fado. The Fado singers were really good but the dining area is huge and the voice impact gets lost. If you want a true Fado experience go to a smaller venue.
In food, avoid the dessert with “chorizo”....it’s too strong to be a dessert.
Fado tries to be fine dining but fails because it takes in too many customers and everyone is seated very close to each other.

No vayan por favor, es un robo a mano armada. Mi pareja y yo hemos pagado 85€ por 3 cervezas (9€ cada una), 5 albóndigas de pulpo (eran de pescado con ventosas de pulpo para que pareciera que eran de pulpo, que además chirriaban al masticar, 17€) y un rodaballo tan pequeño que parecía un lenguado (35€). Ah, y dos panecillos para mojar en un plato con aceite (6€).
Eso si, hemos disfrutado de Fado en directo, pero no sé hasta que punto esos precios están discutidos.
La comida además de cara no era de calidad.

Depois de muito pesquisar escolhemos o Café Luso para ouvir fado e jantar. Eles oferecem um menu com caldo verde de entrada, lombo de bacalhau gratinado com batatas e couve-pak choi EXCELENTE, de prato principal, acompanhado de uma taça de vinho(só uma) e de sobremesa um creme de queijo com streusel, coulis de papaia e cassis, ESPETACULAR, tudo por 30€/pessoa. Comemos até não aguentar! Tudo isso acompanhado de cinco ótimos fadistas, com destaque para a cantora mais jovem, que se alternavam!!

Si vas a ver fado ya sabes lo que te vas a encontrar : comida más bien insípida a precios caros. Dicho esto, en este sitio el fado es decente mientras que el local es muy bonito y acogedor. El precio : a calcular 30/35 euros con agua y sin postre, de los cuales la comida no vale ni 10 euros. Los camareros muy lentos.

Que experiencia tan agradable. Nunca habiamos oido cantar fados en directo y resultó ser una velada inolvidable. Estupen- dos músicos y espectaculares voces. Además del bello local, resaltar la amabilidad de su personal ya que desde mi condicion de discapacitada todo fueron atenciones para que no tuviéramos ningún problema de ubicacion. Gracias por todo. The worse restaurant I ever been in Lisbon, they overcharge their customers. I went to celebrate my Mum birthday on the 1st March 2018, first of all they told us at the entrance the menu and Fado included was 30.00 euros each. Also I requested for them to sing happy birthday to my Mum and the waitress just ignored us and was very rude, they sang to the other lady in a different table and not for my Mum, very disappointed. Then when the bill arrived they overcharged us 55.20 euros of TAXA Expectaculo which is ridiculous we didn't even spend more then 10 min and the music was not great at all and we paid 119.15 euros for 2 people. I will not visit this restaurant never again and I don't recommend anyone to visit Cafe LUSO -FADO in Lisbon, rubbish service and rude staff.
Ja estive em restaurantes muito melhores em Lisboa e este restaurante nao merece nem uma estrela, definitivamente o pior restaurante e os empregados sao simplesmente mal educados.

Le prix de la carte est horriblement cher, et en plus ils ne vous est pas dit au début qu’il faut consommer un minimum de 27 € par personne
La bouffe est dégueulasse.
Et les chanteurs joue trois chansons de deux minutes, et se repose 20 minutes. À 23h nous étions six dans la salle. Nous n’avions pas réservé et on nous a fait la remarque que c’était uniquement sur réservation mais plus de la moitié de la salle était vide.
Nous avons dépensé 120 €, pour 15 minutes de fado. Nous avons présenté un ticket de réduction qui était donné avec l’achat des tickets bus, on nous répond que celui-ci n’est pas valable car nous n’avons pas pris le menu spécial

Very nice place if you would like to enjoy a transitional Fado night. Try to be there either at 8 or at 10.30 the 1st show ends around 10 so if you won't catch it from the start wait till the 2nd show. Plus there is a minimum charge per person.

Really terrible experience. This place was recommended by my hotel for some reason, but I should have read the Google reviews before going. I cannot describe how terrible the food was. I had the warm octopus salad, and it was almost unpalatable (and cost €16). I understand that you're paying a premium to listen to fado, but it's insulting to pay so much and to receive such bad food. Worse than this though, there was very little fado in the evening at all. I was there for about a hour and a half and heard maybe 4 songs- there were very, very long pauses between performances. I didn't go to any other fado places, so I don't know if this is standard, but based on my experience, you should pick another place. Literally any other place has to be better. All my other experiences in Portugal were fantastic, and the Portugese people were friendly and honest. This is the only time I felt like I was being swindled, and I really didn't like it.

The food very expensive for the quality you get. We order «degustacio du chef» very crappy food. Burnt, I had to order again. Bread, old and dry like bubble gum.
Then the waiter very rude. He just ignore me completely. FADO was ok, short. At the end i complain to the man in «charge» telling him that he should read the reviews and learn from it...he just said. I don't care about opinions. Thats tell you the quality of this place!!!

Worst experience in beautiful lisboa. The food is poor (even burnt to black) and very expensive. The music is good but lasts short time. One of the waiters very rude, acting like he doesn't hear you and when you finally have contact he tells you in a rude way that he won't help you and we have to wait until another waiter will come. Waiting 15 minutes for a drink and for the bill. Explaining our complaints, the owner gets mad at us and tells us he doesn't care about the bad comments on internet. Please be wise and don't come here.

In a nutshell, the food and service was terrible, also very overpriced. Go to Alfama and visit a smaller fado restaurant. Worst Money we spent in Lisbon.
We were one of the first guests to arrive, we had seats right next to the show. The first thing the host said was that we MUST order dinner (44 eur) set menu.
We also ordered wine, which we had to pour ourselves the whole night. It got very busy with loads of tourists after. I ordered beef slices with potatoes. Because the dish said slices of beef, I didn't assume it was a piece of steak. A boiled looking piece of steak came as my main entree and it was WELL DONE, the server never even asked me how I wanted it cook.
I don't blame having no service all night, as there is only one waiter catering to 60 customers all at once. If they know they are having a very busy night they should hire more help. Avoid at all costs!

Good music Good food Good service Beautiful location....the cost was expensive depending on your point of view. We got there late on a Sunday 9pm. My friend just wanted a drink but was told she had to spend 17€. All the rest ordered off of the menu. Fixed price menus are 44€ with 3 courses. I ordered the fish of the day, which was 33€. The water was 7€ per liter no tap water available. They helpfully refilled glasses all night se we ended up with 3 bottles on the bill. (Note for new folks visiting Europe, if you touch it, you pay. So one in my party had the predinner roll with olive oil, so all in the party charged regardless of whether they ate it or not. This is standard so buyer beware. Don't let them serve it in the first place to avoid the whole issue.) The wine...it is higher than other restaurants, hovering around 30€ per bottle. So, in summary you will pay a premium price for this experience. All of that being said, the food was well presented and tasted great. I did not see anyone order a typical Portuguese dish....my fish of the day was a very typical grilled sea bass and was perfect. It did come with the also very typical potatoes and warm veggies. The prep however was different from typical in that the potatoes were mashed and the veggies julienned, and there was a lemon pepper sauce on the plate. The flavors though were fantastic. I felt I got my money's worth. I paid the same small fortune at another place but the food/location/service/show not anywhere near this level. Very elegant place, elevated....not necessarily a very typical experience but it was great. Also, since we had a large party, this was one of the few places that could accommodate us comfortably. Quick word about the artists....top quality with distinct voices and they were very elegant and professional in demeanor.

Mal, muy mal. Vimos que los precios de la carta eran desorbitados (platos a 33 € que en cualquier buen restaurante no pasarían de 15 o 18), pero pensamos bueno, de alguna forma habrá que pagar el espectáculo de Fado, (aunque sale bastante caro). No quisimos vino, y tomamos unas cañas (4 cañas en total) y nos las cobraron a 9 (sí, nueve) Euros.
El espectáculo de Fado estaba bien, pero ni la duración ni la calidad lo diferencian de otros locales que hay por la zona del barrio Alto que justifiquen ese abuso en los precios. La noche siguiente vimos otro espectáculo de fado igual de bueno en un restaurante cercano, comimos igual o mejor y nos costó bastante menos de la mitad.
Un lugar a evitar.

On était dans la rue et, parmi tous les maisons de fado, on a choisi celle là. On a le choix entre 6 menus (très bien harmonisés), tous à 44€ (spectacle inclu, le même prix que la plupart des autres restaurants au fado). La cuisine déborde en finesse et simplicité au même temps, les artistes et le choix des chansons étaient formidables, la déco est très portugaise et romantique, le service est incroyable. Vraiment, je n'ai rien à reprocher, et je ne me rappelle pas de la dernière fois que cela m'est arrivé! En plus, étant le dernier couple dans le salon à 00:30, au lieu d'être poussés à la porte, on a eu un show spécial pour nous deux de la part du maître du café, qui chante comme pas possible lui aussi. ALLEZ Y SANS HÉSITER.

A very interesting space serving up traditional Portuguese dishes while performing Fado singing. Their version of bacalhau (salt cod, onions and potatoes) was the best of those I tried in Portugal. The performers were wonderful, we enjoyed our evening there.

Fado show was very interesting. Some dances on the stage that showed several local regions was delightful. But this was a begining and some time to have DELICOUS dinner.
Than there where a GREAT fado session with close contact to the singers (no microphones !). Time to drink some wine and have great opportunity to feel this beautiful music.
If one expects that prices would be low - should go to the disco. The prices reflect the level of the show and fado session (remember that you dont pay for the ticets so the ticets MUST BE included into the dinner !).
I totally RECOMMEND this place !

The trick with this place is to AVOID THE DINNER SHOW. Have dinner somewhere else and show up for the Fado Sessions, which is late night (say 10PM). The focus becomes the music, not the "production". Incredible voices and a unique intimate experience. They also serve some fantastic wine and the nibblies are not bad.

O que poderia ter sido muito bom acabou por ser muito ruim. A casa tem bons fadistas e tem boa comida. Porém, o fato de trabalharem com grupos de excursionistas faz com que hajam muitos barulhos, conversas e gargalhadas durante a apresentação. Como pode a apresentação dos fadistas acontecer junto com as pessoas a comer e os garçons a servir mesas? Os proprietários precisam entender que quem procura uma casa de fados é para sentir a alma do fado e não para comer. A casa reduz o fadista a um cantor de churrascaria. Apenas para constar o serviço custa 41 Euros por pessoa. 1 cálice de Porto 8 Euros. 1 garrafa de Vinho muralhas de monção 27 Euros. Ou seja, muito caro e não cumpre com o objetivo principal de respeitar o fado como um dos principais ativos culturais de Portugal.

Siamo stati in questo posto proprio questa sera...x quanto riguarda lo spettacolo possiamo dire che è stato di nostro gradimento, non possiamo però dire lo stesso del cibo tantomeno della serietà e della professionalità del capo sala. Nello specifico il cibo era di qualità mediocre, il riso scotto e il baccalà...........lo fa molto meglio mia zia.....che non è una cuoca...... Rapporto qualità prezzo pessimo( antipasto primo e dolce 41 € fissi più 1/2 bottiglia di vino 15 € più 6€ di acqua) totale non vale proprio la pena. Locale sopravvalutato...avendo origini portoghesi aggiungo che mi spiace molto vedere che proprio in questa meravigliosa città si abbini uno spettacolo tradizionale e sentito come il fado ad un servizio di ristorazione scadente.
Ultima cosa: complimenti ai camerieri, si danno molto da fare..

Um local muito legal, eu e minha esposa estivemos em abril/2014, gostamos da comida e em especial do show...Um abraço ao cantor, muito simpático e atencioso, sr. Felipe, que a nós, recitou um poema em homenagem ao seu pai e nos emocionou. Não deixe de visitar todo o Bairro Alto durante a noite.

Fado show very nice.
Food terrible. Water (5€/bottle) and coffee (3,5€) very very expensive!

Fado molto bello.
Cibo terribile e pretenzioso. Acqua e caffè carissimi. Spesa totale molto alta, ma comprende anche lo show!

The stuff is slow and a bit rude. The food leave much to be desired. Also it's too expensive. One thing which perked up my mood was a good live music.

Caros compatriotas, é com muita tristeza que quando leio estas linhas, fico triste e nem sei o que dizer a meus amigos Franceses, estava a a programar uma viagem a Portugal e leva-los a uma casa de Fado,não sera certamente nesta!
Mas com este tipo de comentarios estamos a dar cabo da nossa hospitalidade e do nosso FADO.
