Great location and atmosphere but they know they have a monopoly on you so like others have said be prepared to pay a small fortune!

Sat down by a table to have some coffeee but was told that we could only stay if we ate. We had no problem with that so said we'd be off in two minutes after my 2 young girls had been to the toilet. One minute later a big, old guy tells me to get away from the table immediately where I was waiting for my family. When I looked at the other half a dozen empty tables and said that I'd be off as soon as my family was back from the toilet he basically started screaming at me to get out of the restaurant. Only thing I can say is that I have never encountered anything close to this previously in Portugal

Absolutely fabulous
Food is delish... best squid I've ever had. Place is gorgeous and service is amazing. Don't understand the bad ratings. Definitely deserves the 5 star.

Bar/restaurante localizado muito próximo à linha de água, com uma vista muito aprazível.
Ambiente descontraído e descomplicado.
Comida diversificada, bem confeccionada e muito saborosa. Boa seleção de sobremesas. Atendimento cinco estrelas.

Nice place. stopped off for a drink when out for a walk. been coming to Portugal for several years. never paid so much for a beer in a beach bar very expensive 9 euros for 1pint and 1half

Es würde uns wärmstens vom Greenkeeper empfohlen, aber es war nicht offen. Sieht nach einem romantischen Plätzchen aus und so versuchen wir unser Glück im April noch einmal, wenn wir wieder hierher kommen.
Man erreicht das Lokal nur über eine historische Holzbrücke zu Fuß oder vom Strand aus. Aber eben nur zu Fuß, was es sehr romantisch macht

Sooooo good. Fresh and simple ingredienst make it al happen. Nothing overdone or overworked. Everything was tasty and full of flavor. Lovely view and background music and smilling Gigi.

Gigi's is a mystery. You pay €100+ per person to sit on a picnic bench and have good fish, so-so vegetables, and wine. Some patrons give it 5*, others give it 1*. I suppose it depends on how hard you had to work for the €100. Oh, and the toilets are smelly.

Superb place ! Probably the most expensive beach restaurants in the whole Algarve if you want to eat Tiger prawns, especially if know that they are frozen and coming from Madagascar, and available in any supermarket, but the way they cooked it, and the sauce make your lunch unforgettable! Fantastic experience if money is not an issue for your pocket!

Walked out. Attitude was terrible. Tried to go for a drink at 3.30pm but was told to leave & try in an hour. I tried to have a snack but was told I couldn’t have one. There only interested in making money on serving full expensive fish dishes by the Kg. I wouldn’t have minded too much but the way they spoke to me was very rude Quite glad I didn’t stay found a far better place just down the beach that was actually on the beach & had a sea view.

Um restaurante icone no Algarve, para além do maravilhoso peixe fresco, visitar o Bernardo Reino (Gigi) é uma experiência. Local de paragem obrigatória no verão.

Incredible lugar, el mejor pescado que he probado en años. Pescado del día fresco preparado con cariño. El lugar tiene buenas vistas. No es un chiringuito cualquiera de playa.
La calidad se paga.

Over all the restaurant was quaint with good local cuisine. One of the dishes ordered was chicken and fries. To my 8 year old's surprise the french fries weren't the usual cut and look. Tiny and thinly sliced pieces mixed with onions could not be consumed with ketchup. For any parents with younger children expecting the "traditional" looking fries clarify
before ordering to avoid disappointment. However, a terrific selection of desserts made up for it , . For LOL doll lover's they do have such ice cream selection. Restaurant is recommended.

Rude staff, obviously no emphasis on customer service due to having a captive audience. Beach car has a very limited menu of sandwiches and you cannot get food anywhere on the beach before 1 o clock which actually spoiled the day for us

Fabulous! The best grilled fish you will ever eat. Make sure to get a reservation!! And for desert don’t forget to try a “ quindim” ( coconut or almond). For my family it’s a mandatory stop each summer holiday.

The meal was very expensive. One kilogramm of fish costed around 80 Euros. In comparison to the fish you can buy fresh from the fisherman for some 8 Euros/1Kg. The atmosphere or the preparation is not worth that big price difference.

Amazing and delicious. Very simple, no menu, you chose the fish directly and they prepare it. Sublime lobster, it was so good. Good local wines. Best experience so far in the area

Overpriced for what it is. Great location but staff are only interested in food orders. Empty restaurant but people wanting drinks were turned away. Nice for an ice cream but the owner embodied snittyness. Shame.

Visited yesterday. Wouldn't recommend. We felt press ganged into ordering what the staff want you to order. They refused to take a drink order until a food order had been placed. We had mussels- numerous unopened!! Not worth the cost.

I dont have an issue with price IF the food lives up to it...and it did not. At 50 Euros for a bowl of prawns that clearly had been previously frozen, it was not worth it. We have eaten at similarly priced seafood restuarants in Portugal without a grumble as the seafood was fresh. I did not like the no menu thing, having to jostle with other diners and beach goers in the restaurant for a takeaway icecrem to place my order in a hurried fashion.

Ambiance impersonnelle et artificielle. Musique mièvre et trop présente. Pas de carte, ni a l'entrée, ni a table, plats hors de prix, on se croirait dans un 3 étoiles, mais en fait un vague restau de plage SANS la vue sur la mer et au personnel sorti du macdo. Sans intérêt. Dans ce pays, il y a beaucoup beaucoup mieux. Fuyez.

Nice view if its a nice day without wind given its outside. 116 Euros for lunch which included 2 shrimps, 1 sole fish that came overcooked and dry with green beans, carrots and boiled potatoes. Red shrimp and potatoes are the best thing. 2 shrimps cost 40 Euros!!?! Overrated for sure... This is more than the cost of a Michelin star restaurant lunch in London but much poorer quality cuisine... Untrained home cooks is my verdict.

Der Ort ist bestimmt super, aber das Geschäft läuft eher nach dem Prinzip Gier, Gieriger, Gigi.
Wir hatten Muscheln und eine davon war offensichtlich schlecht. Da erklärt der Chef auf unsere Beschwerde empört, dass wäre der Geschmack des Sommers...Da hier Preise wie in einem Sterne Lokal aufgerufen werden, ist man versucht auch eine entsprechende Leistung zu erwarten...vergeblich. Zur Rettung muss man sagen, dass der noch servierte Fisch sehr gut war und die Natur bezaubernd ist, aber eine schlechte Muschel mit dem Geschmack des Sommers zu erklären lässt in mir Zweifel auch in allen anderen Gerichten aufkommen...zahlen mussten wir die Muscheln trotzdem. Guten Appetit!

Praia lindíssima, atende perfeitamente os banhistas que pretendam estar numa praia tranquila com águas quentes (22°) e com público selecionado. Ideal para surfistas pois a praia em "mar aberto" proporciona boas ondas...

Food was OK, not amazing, and it was the most expensive meal we had, and we ate amazing meals on our 8 day Portugal vacation.
