A great beachside location. Like all oceanfront locations the view and atmosphere is reflected in the price. In this instance I felt it was justified, as the service and drinks were both great. We only drank, so I cannot comment on the food, but we'll most likely return for live music later.

Had a nice dinner here. Staff were professional and were the most efficient in Faro. Had no discrimination on tourist. Very scenic restaurant during sunset (you will need a pair of sunglasses though). Reasonable price with this good service. Would recommend chocolate lava cake with ice cream!

Lieu très chaleureux pour passer de bonne soirée entre amis. Au bord de l'eau. La nourriture y est excellente surtout leur steak de thon. Et l'accueil a toujours été d'excellente qualité. Rendez-vous incontournable quand je viens sur faro

Decouvert au hasard en baladant, y aller absolument. Terrasse vue sur la lagune et bateaux. Personnel très agréable et plage savoureux et copieux.

Great view of the sunset, just like Ibiza, loads of people with their mobiles and cameras, spectacular. Back to the restaurant, food lush from snacks to meat and fish dishes and a great variety of cocktails, highly recommended. However go there for the sunsets and quite frequently the live dj's and bands

Fado,lekker eten,aardig personeel,unieke locatie dit kasteel.
Zonder reservering konden we tóch nog eten,al zou de keuken binnen 15 minuten sluiten.
Lekkere wijn voor een redelijke prijs. De "baas" zong zelf ook Fado,naast een andere man en vrouw met een verrassend jonge Portugese gitaar speler en een oudere man op gewone gitaar.Hele gezellige avond gehad. Al was de toilet "buten in 't huuske".....

FADO LIVE on Mondays and Fridays even in mid January starts after 21.30 and it lasted till midnight with 2 different singers and audience take part in music.
Quick excellent service and tasting white passion fruit Sangria and nice size tapas platter arrived in less than 10 min.from ordering.
All together it makes wonderfully Porugese social place and event.

Went for Monday Fado night. Excellent music, awesome food and beverages, and great service. Location on the castle wall gives a great spot to watch the sunset.

Une vue vraiment magique sur la mer, avec les avions qui passent ponctuellement, c'est assez unique et c'est très beau. La carte des boissons est assez complète et intéressante. Je n'y ai pas mangé et je n'ai pas vu la carte... La scène dans le jardin et l'annonxe des soirées Fado m'ont donné envie :-)

O espaço é agradável e tem uma boa carta para bar. Visitei num dia com música ao vivo, o que não agradou muito devido a estar muito alta e perder-se a possibilidade de comunicar com os amigos.

The view over the water is great and must be amazing at sunset (overcast when we visited). We stayed for food but the Vegetarian burger was possibly the worst I've ever had (veggie for over 15 years), I felt ill after eating it so avoid at all costs, the tomato on top and the chips were the best bit!! It was also €3 more expensive than my partners beef burger, how does that make sense?? Drinks were ok and we got a free drink each after being enticed in by a woman outside.

We only went for cocktails and the view, great place to watch the sunset. Took a star off as one waiter struggled to understand English and rather than ask for help he put the wrong order through. The restaurant did look nice along with the food that passed us.

Très bonne cuisine. Je recommande les plats traditionnels: poulpes (polvo) et les plats à base de morue (bacalao) spécialité portugaise.
Petit plus si vous visitez la vielle ville vous croiserez certainement une gentille dame qui vous donnera une invitation avec un digestif offert.

Hippe sfeervolle plaats. Ruim opgezet bistro- restaurant met uitzicht op Parque Natural Da Ria Formosa en de bootjes van- en naar de jachthaven. Uitgebreide drankenkaart maar ook voldoende niet alcoholische dranken en een aantal verse sappen. Menukaart met volop keuze. Van borrelhapjes tot en met een volledige maaltijd. Prima gegeten voor een redelijke prijs. Wat mij betreft een aanrader.

C'est un restaurant avec une vue magnifique et aussi plats délicieux, vaut mieux réserver à l'avance, j'ai trop aimé, les prix restent abordables par rapport au standing du restaurant.

La musique était un peu élevé. Malgré le soleil, nous avions froid à cause du courant d'air, mais les employés ont fermé les rideaux et le problème a été résolu.
Les plats sont super bien servi et très bon.
Les employés très sympathique également.
Je recommande ce lieu.
En plus, nous avions des enfants avec nous et ils se sont régalés avec les hamburgers.
Les adultes ont pris leurs pieds avec le poulpe, poisson frais et tournedos!

Comimos 3 hamburguesa, no hay mucha variedad pero no está mal,. O hacen menú.
Lo malo es que no paran de pasar aviones y trenes, el aeropuerto enfrente y la vía pared con pared. Aún así está bien.

The best view of sunset ever, but food was just ok. I had octopus and it was nothing special. They have live FADO shows on mondays. for me it is really good place to drink something and enjoy sunset, maybe with some portuguese music

The place to go to on a Monday. Free local live music, good performers. Food was surprisingly good, had a veal steak that seemed to be filet served with peppercorn sauce and fries. Good cocktails and wine. Very fun evening.

Fenomenal!!!! Callejeando por la zona, e intentando encontrar un sitio de cocina típica portuguesa que no estuviese masificado damos con 'O Castello'. Aunque en un primer momento pasamos de largo, al cabo de un paseo volvemos allí. Atención muy buena, platos abundantes y muy ricos. Recomendamos el chorizo típico portugués, el pulpo con batata y el bacalao con nata...
De verdad que merece ls pena.

Eher zum Tanzen als für Essen geeignet
- Personal sehr(!!) unaufmerksam (man muss selbst aktiv nach allem fragen, sonst wird das nichts
- Getränke nicht wirklich gut (fast nur Eis im Vodka Cola & schlecht gemixter Gin Tonic)
- Burger einfach und durchschnittlich, Chorizio und Brot+Zwieback (?) schmeckt alt und trocken
- sehr laute Musik
- viele unterhaltsam tanzende Gäste
- eher für ein Getränk geeignet als für Essen
