Mucha comida, buen precio precio.... y abierto 24 horas

Pricey! At the arrival we were simply asked if it was a table for two, we said yes and were given a table. The choice of the day was a cozido à portuguesa which was too heavy and ended up leaving food on the plate which is not usual for me. One dosage seemed like for almost 2 people. The guy which seems to be one of the owners didn't smile much and was just for it for the money and/or getting things done. Not much passion and the place is very outdated and with bit and pieces falling apart in the ceiling. There was no TV on that day only his mobile phone playing music over the counter. We were not offered the menu to begin with and being portuguese sometimes we don't ask for that but because we trust we are going to have one at the table - this never happened and so we were only offered the daily plates and so never got to see the pricing. At the end, paid 25 euros for 2 daily plates of cozido, 2 desserts, 2 drinks + bread + 1 coffee, I believe it was overcharged for this kind of place. When asked to put the receipt with full description we were told they have this system where people pay for 12,50 each where all is inclusive otherwise we would end up paying more for each single item altogether. so the guy decided to put 2 entries stating 2 menu 12.50each. Previously, we had been given a receipt where only 1 menu with the amount of 25 euros was in it. No further details, is this legal??? I believe all items needed to be described in there, right? Not sure If I will go there without asking for the menu! After this visit I find that there are so many other restaurants around that offer better quality of services that this was despite of celebrities that use to visit the place back in the days - I believe this place is lost in the past and need an urgent turn around.

Adorei a comida, o espaço é antigo mas ainda se mantém de pé. Barato e bom. Quem quer comer uma sandes rápida existem de muitas variedades tal como pratos menus muito baratos, a comida é deliciosa

Hygiène déplorable, nourriture très moyenne, prix exorbitant et à la tête du client. A fuir !

Nem caro nem barato, um autêntico roubo, duas alentejanas, uma de filetes, grelhada mista, tudo cru e mal confeccionado, vinho, um sumo e uma água, pedirem 50€. Pratos todos cheios de gordura, os copos mesma coisa, enfim........ Nunca mais.

Restaurante relação preço qualidade razoável, pena ultimamente misturarem pescada com bacalhau, bem sei que não se pode nem se consegue fazer um preço mais baixo mas misturarem restos seria melhor aumentarem um pouco o preço.

Cozido à portuguesa bom, grelhada Mista nada de especial, o bacalhau mal demolhado e cru. Preço exagerado para a qualidade do serviço e local. Ganha pela localização e estancionento, no entanto não anula o mau serviço global. Pessoal simpático.

Very good food. We regularly have lunch here for a flat rate of €10 that offers value for money. We had starters (bread, olives, butter), a yummy main dish (the pork ribs is simply awesome), wine, water, salad, dessert. At times we also ordered a bowl of soup. Menu is orally conveyed and adds a touch of familiarity between the diners and the waiters / waitress. A 50-year old family run business that offers great food and service.
