The cottage is absolutely superb, it’s located at the nature park of Serra de Sao Mamede, in a beautiful geographical location near a hillside with amazing views over the Northern Alentejo fields, the cork and the oak trees are beautiful they are abundant in this hidden part of Portugal, nearby outside within a short walking distance there also superb chestnut trees and some cherry trees! Our experience was really good we went with our dog which was so happy playing with sheep and horses and running free over the fields! The cottage has all the facilities just missing a washing machine! The living room is gorgeous with a panoramic view, the garden was well kept, with a private pool and amazing deck chairs to relax and enjoy the outstanding sunset! Francisco the owner was very helpful and friendly given us all details needed to enjoy our stay! Regarding bakery food restaurants you can easily walk to Carreiras, the nearby market town and buy freshly baked bread and cookies, there is also a nearby market town 2km up and down the road, called Alvarrões, where you find a nice and affordable Restaurant doing takeaway called Tapada do Poejo! Please try the Sarapatel and the Miolada de Rins ( Kidney Bread Soup)

Casa em local calmo e sossegado mas bastante usada e com maus cheiros nomeadamente de canos. Fossa no meio do relvado que transborda e provoca muito mau cheiro e invasão de insectos. TV muito antiga com má imagem. Insuficiência de toalhas para o numero de pessoas. Cama muito barulhenta e colchão muito mole.

Alojamiento confortable, cuidando elementos originales de la edificación. Cocina bien equipada. La zona es muy bonita, en el entorno del parque de la Sierra de Sao Mamede, Localidades cercanas Portalegre, Castelo de Vide y Marvao
