Super cute little wine bar. Great staff provided awesome recommendations. Had a number of awesome Portuguese wines and a charcuterie board. Everything was awesome. They don’t have much for food but it is a great place to stop in to get your night started.

Auf die Frage welchen Weißwein man uns empfehlen würde, bekamen wir den Redoma dahingestellt. Der Wein war ok. Die Bedienung freundlich aber total langsam. Somit haben wir nach einem Glas den Laden verlassen, nach dem wir 14€ für 2 Gläser Wein im Laden getrunken hatten! Sorry, aber der Wein war keine 7€ das Glas wert!!!!Nochmal würde ich persönlich hier nicht hingehen.

Ambiance sympa, serveur très agréable. Plateau de charcuterie et fromage bien servi et bon choix de vin proposé par notre serveur qui nous a fait goûté les vins avant de se décider sur le choix de notre bouteille.

Endroit convivial en dépit de l'espace assez petit. On peut déguster des vins avec du fromage et de la charcuterie. Le personnel est très avenant et toujours attentionné. Je vous recommande pour une soirée sympa entre amis.

Nice hole in the wall wine place in Barrio Alto. Located inside what used to be a pharmacy. Sit besides wooden barrels (yes, it's kitsch), order a wine glass or opt for the wine tasting deal. Food also available. Kinda pricey.

Great little place to visit and close to jazz bar if you want to do both. Good selection of drinks in busy area of town. Staff are attentive and friendly and kept a bag behind the bar which I had left by mistake. Recommended.

Stopped here for an after dinner glass of wine when visiting Lisbon. They have an extensive menu and the waiters are very knowledgeable. We did find the service a bit pretentious, however, which is the reason for the “lower” review.
We wouldn’t return here when we go back to Lisbon due to service.
There are two spaces next door to one another. Make sure you get a seat in the room with the bottles; half the experience is in the ambiance of that room.

Good place with a great selection of wines. Decent courses for a frugal meal as well but unfortunately for them I'm from Tuscany and their charcuteries and cheeses simply can't match the ones from my region. The main reason I'm detracting one rating point however is the fact that they tried to use pre-packaged jam in one of their dishes (cheese with jam), but they swiftly offered a locally made one upon request.

We'd spent a long weekend in Lisbon enjoying all the delicious seafood dishes on offer then realised we hadn't yet sampled any port. We fancied an evening of ham and cheese complemented by port and this was the perfect place. Excellent service and menu recommendations from the friendly and knowledgeable staff, would definitely recommend this place!

Fab bar in the centre of BA. There are a good selection of wines available and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is mainly cheese & ham and perfect accompaniment or the wine. Its big, airy and welcoming so a good choice if you are on your own and you want to people watch. Great wine, great staff, great vibe!

Fantastic port, wine, and cheese! Great atmosphere and very relaxed without being inattentive. Actually our sommelier was amazingly helpful and entertaining :)
We had the full meat, cheese and bread platter between four and it was more than enough. Went amazingly with both the wine and port selections too. Definitely worth trying and we'll be back for more!

We had a pretty good cheese and charcuterie platter here, and also a couple of very nice glasses of red wine. This place is, as you can tell, meant to look like a pharmacy. The lighting is cozy and everything has kind of a purple shimmer. The waiters had great knowledge about the wine and made great recommendations. A nice place to visit!

Super schöne Weinbar! Ich und meine Mutter(beide leidenschaftliche Weintrinker) haben dort super viel Spaß gehabt, jeden Tag ein anderen Wein und ich hab meinen Lieblingswein dort gefunden! Wir sind 4 Abende hintereinander dort gewesen und wurden vom super süßen Chef und auch besonders von Roger, einen kleinen liebenswertem Engländer immer lieb umsorgt.
Auch die Deko ist super schön, auch wenn der Nebenraum nicht ganz so schön ist....
Wir sind absolut begeistert, auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Make sure you go to the actual restaurant next door. The first door is to a small wine bar that is pretty cramped.

Had a small group gathering here the other night with some new friends at my hostel and we decided to meet here. Very glad that we did! Extensive wine selection aided by a server who was very knowledgable and helpful in suggesting pairings between glasses and foods. Highly recommend coming here for a cheap and delicious lineup of Portuguese wine, which is one of a kind. Thanks for a memorable night.

Great place to enjoy port, wine and tapas ! Loved the old pharmacy feel with the glass cabinet doors (filled with Portuguese wines). Our waiter was very friendly and recommend some nice tawny port. Been here twice during our Lisbon stay and probably end there again before we leave.

Calidad precio acorde, aunque podrian bajar un eurillo cada ración, ya que no están muy elaboradas.
Pedimos una lata de anchoas con racióm de pan incluido, y un sandwich en pan rústico con jamón serrano y queso. Para cenar dos está bien, eso si ya llevas algo más en el estómago.

Excellent wine place: we relied on the waiter’s recommendations, as we were not familiar with Portugese wines – and had a wonderful tasting! Also the meat and cheese plate was delicious. I definitely recommend the place for wine enthusiasts!

I'm a simple man who likes the wine and cheeses he likes, but I'm not great at memorizing grapes and regions. If that sounds familiar, boy is this the right place for you. Folks know their stuff and have a huge selection. If I'm ever lucky enough to visit Lisbon again, this is in my bucket list.

If you like endless Modern Talking remixes and not being served, and if, then by a waiter with no joy in life or his job - then this is the Place for you! Maybe the main room is better, don’t know, but you should really avoid the undecorated side room.
The wine is okay though.

This repurposed pharmacy is a fantastic place to enjoy a bottle of wine and a cheese plate (among other choices) and perhaps a shared glass of port to follow. The staff are extremely knowledgable and helpful. It is a must see place in the Alto Barrio for anyone who appreciates a nice quiet spot to enjoy some wine and conversation.

Lovely area and very friendly, so they get a star.
We only tried the red wine so can't comment on anything else. Twenty euros to try three different types, or you can go one block down and have twenty beers for the same price.
The wine we were served was extremely mediocre, and one of them is available in UK supermarkets for under £5. They had obviously been uncorked for some time as they were quite vinegary. Overall a rip off and obvious gouge. Would not recommend.

This place is a total gem. I have always loved port and wanted to try a flight of 10/20/30&40 year old tawny ports back to back. They have this flight and several others to choose from (like Madeira vs port and tawny vs white). My server and I think owner brought some incredible cheese to compliment my flight. No way I finished the whole thing definitely better shared but seize the day and all.... excellent place!

As the name says, this place used to be a old pharmacy. The original cabinets of the place we're kept to be clevered part of the decor of this wine bar.
Great portuguese wine selection with correct prices served by a kind and professional team. Nice selection of cheese and cold cuts. Overall a very nice place to start the night or maybe to stay if a light and relaxed meal is what the doctor ordered
As part of the atmosphere a discreet 80's soundtrack can be listened.

What a brilliant concept. The staff dress up in t-shirts with a stethoscope printed on. There are lots of little bottles on the shelf to add to the look. It's menu is set up as a wine and tapas bar, the variety of wines we're great but we were somewhat underwhelmed by the tapas menu. What came out was tasty but there wasn't much variety, being a visitor to Portugal it would have been good try a few more different meats than was on offer. Service was good but nothing too special. We got a 'barrel seat' in a window straight away. If your in a need of wine and tapas you're definitely safe to go here but I wouldn't make it a destination

Bon bar à vin dans cette ancienne pharmacie sans Medoc. La salle principale est originale avec toutes les bouteilles exposées à la façon des fioles dans le décor d ancienne pharmacie. La carte du bar permet de se familiariser avec les différents vins des régions du Portugal et leurs spécificités. Planches tout à fait satisfaisant et service très correct. Évitez la deuxième salle sur le côté qui n a pas l charme de la première

For a subdued venue to share some wine with one or more guests, the Old Pharmacy provides a choice with a very international vibe to it. While friendly to tourists, it is not overwhelmingly so and you will find travelers and locals alike partaking in the wide selection of Portuguese wines. Prices are a little elevated, but the selection is much greater than most similar places in the area. Reservations are not required and the tables tend to move fairly quickly as most people are drinking. They have English speaking staff.

A great place to stop in for wine, tapas, and port. English speaking staff is friendly, warm, helpful and willing to share information about Portuguese viticulture. Go early or very late to avoid the crowds as this place seems very popular with tourists. Thanks to the guys working there for two fun evenings!

Lugar con encanto. Para ser Portugal tiene una carta de vinos un poco elevada de precio...pero si rebuscas en la carta puedes escoger una buena botella por un precio razonable (comparado con España). Aun así si buscáis vino barato no es el lugar. Si queréis encanto, todo el que queráis.

Le décor n'a rien de très atypique à part les polos avec un stéthoscope en motif je ne vois pas le rapport avec une pharmacie ... Je demande un verre de vin rouge on me sert directement le plus cher à 12euros soit un prix exorbitant pour le coin , un vin correct mais sans plus. Le plateau de fromage et de charcuterie est correct, des sardines servies dans leur boîte de conserve... Bref je déconseille.

Muy agradable para probar un buen vino dentro de la amplia variedad que ofrece su carta. Lo puedes pedir por copas o botellas y acompañar con algún platito para picar. Probé un vinho verde recomendado por el camarero y todo un acierto. El ambiente muy acogedor en pleno centro dentro de lo que parece ser una antigua farmacia (como su nombre indica) rodeandote de botellas en las viejas vitrinas.

this place is amazing for wine lovers. the staff is excellent in portuguese wine knowledge. i followed wine recommendation and it got an absolute amazing red wine. the small tappas are also excellent. perfect olives, a very good bread and a very good well temperated sheep cheese, which perfect matches to the wine. so what else can i say. that's wine heaven.

Certainly not off the beaten path but The Old Pharmacy is not only a spot famous for its decor reminiscent of its past as a local pharmacy.
It is, first and foremost, an excellent wine bar with a 200-strong selection of wines from all the main Portuguese wine producers.
Wine is served by the glass or bottle and you can order small plates of cheese or cured meats to go with.

Beautiful old pharmacy converted into a bar with original shelving containing a fabulous selection of wines. We went for the 3 Portuguese reds tasting option. That was 3 half glasses from 3 different regions in Portugal for 20 euros. The waiter brings them out one at a time and gives you a brief history of where the wine is from and what it's key characteristics are. I'd definitely recommend this option especially if you are unsure of Portuguese wines. We got the 9 variety of cheeses board to go with it and it was a great accompaniment. I'd highly recommend the bar.

The most adorable little wine bar. A huge selection of wines from across Portugal, chill music and amazing decor. Lovely bartenders. We stumbled in here around 6 when it was pretty empty and it got busier after that. Definitely check this place out!
