Ate here late last night. Had the vegetarian lasagna it was amazing, kids had Alfredo. Everything was sensational and very good! Would definitely eat here again!

Food is really good and fresh, great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Food came out quick despite being a big group and our waiter was really friendly. Looks out on a lovely square. Would come again!

Sit here, have a drink, watch the world go by (mostly a drunk english fashion) long and short: nice place to sit, kids enjoyed running around square, a lovely afternoon hour. If you eat here or indeed 90% of the "restaurants" in the square you are either on your first night, have been coming here for 20 yrs + or part of a mass party group. Less than 100 yards up the hill are brilliant eateries with more acceptable prices. Do not complain about the food or service if you visit here. It is what it is. The children shared a pizza which was adequate.

Looks nice from the exterior, but once inside I was extremely uncomfortable. The whole time as the staff were standing about 2 meters away watching our every move. Left feeling tense! Food was okay, nothing special.

Food was average overall, mozzarella chix was decent, slightly dry, piri piri chix had no flavour, it was basically baked chicken. Cod was good, kids liked burgers, and our server was very attentive. Portions were large, price was reasonable. We were leary of coming here based off the reviews, but some in our party were too tired to take a drive elsewhere ( to avoid all the tourist trap restaurants with so so reviews) , so we ate here and overall weren't disappointed with the experience.

Hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, frische Gerichte, perfekter Service. Das »Downtown Pizza Pasta« befindet sich inmitten des historischen Zentrums von Albufeira. Wer draußen sitzt, hat von dort einen fantastischen Blick auf den Jardim Público de Albufeira, einen großen Platz mit herrlichen Bäumen und touristischer Betriebsamkeit – die sich außerhalb der Saison, wie z.B. im Herbst in überschaubaren Grenzen hält. Das Personal war angenehm unaufdringlich, dabei jedoch stets aufmerksam, höflich und freundlich. Die Karte ist vielfältig und bietet ein breites Spektrum: von Vorspeisen über Salate, Pizza & Pasta, Hamburger, Fleisch, Fisch/Muscheln bis hin zu Smoothies (in der Getränkekarte zu finden). Es gibt auch eine Kinderkarte, in der kleinere Portionen angeboten werden, z.B. Minipizzen, Hamburger. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns die Frische der Speisen und deren Präsentation; die Salate waren optisch ansprechend angerichtet und so herrlich knackig, als wären die Zutaten gerade erst geerntet worden. On top kann man für seinen Salat aus einem von insgesamt 9 Dressings wählen. Die Pizza war einfach und lecker und der klassische Hamburger ebenso. Besonders empfehlenswert sind auch die spanisch zubereiteten, übergroßen (Mies?-)Muscheln mit Paprika in pikanter roter Sauce. Ein Hochgenuss für Liebhaber von Meeresfrüchten. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war angemessen und nach meinem persönlichen Empfinden kurz. Sämtliche Speisen wurden perfekt temperiert serviert. Es gab rein gar nichts zu beanstanden.

Ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and complained that the glasses had lipstick marks. The waitress took both glasses and the wine in them and returned with two empty glasses. She stormed off when we asked about the missing wine. Poor hygiene and poor service. Make your own judgement about dining there. Farmer Orr, Scotland

DON'T GO Serive was shocking, food was shocking. Out of our party of 6 they got 1 order right. Which was a pizza, so you can't really go wrong.

I really don't know where to start...... Absolutely dire and that is not just the food, the best part of the evening was leaving in disgust. Had a pizza with 5 toppings, and was tempted to call the police not only to find out who had robbed the toppings, but also to look for the customer service of the knuckle dragging neanderthals who pretend to work here. A reviewer on here advised of a 70's style humour of one of the waiters, well I can advise you he is still there and has been practicing his Bernard Manning one liners about his wife and girlfriend, I was absolutely shocked and mortified........he had a wife!!! I realised tonight one upside to this experience and that is the Google reviewers are a good bunch and kind hearted....2.4 stars??? The hovel doesn't deserve 1!

Terrible. Worst meal we have had since arriving in Albufeira. Avoid at all costs. Garlic bread hard enough to break teeth, pizza with very scant toppings not any better. Pesto spaghetti with so little pesto I could barely taste it. Staff abrupt and didn’t even bother to check we were happy. No offer of Parmesan or black pepper- in fact once we had ordered other than slamming our food in front of us they ignored us. Seriously, avoid this place- it’s not even cheap!!!

No lo recomiendo. Nada de español, penoso estando tan cerca de España y pareciéndose tanto los idomas. Nos pidieron cambiar de mesa y la que nos dieron tenían unas luces parpadeantes que molestaba bastante. Tardan mucho en atenderte. Echamos una copa de vino recomendada por ellos para atrás por estar malísimo y no les pareció sentar bien... Nada reseñable en la comida y problemas con la cuenta que debido al idioma se saldó cobrandonos un botellín de agua de más que pagamos por no seguir discutiendo

Pedimos dos bebidas, el.combinado muy bien, pero el mojito sin alcohol era soda cn menta y rayadura de limón y cobran 5€!!!!!! Mas vale pedir un refresco cualquiera, sale mas económico y es lo mismo

We had a really weird interaction here with a member of staff: an African dude who came over to our table, asked where I was from, randomly cracked a bunch of inappropriate jokes about his own ethnicity (awful, cringey 1970s minstrel show stuff), then tried to throw down some starters we hadn't ordered. I think the tactic is to try to make you uncomfortable so you'll take the food out of politeness, and then have to pay for it. We declined and later heard him using the exact same script at other tables. I've seen a similar technique used in Rome by guys in the street trying to guilt you into buying cheap bracelets but it's pretty weird and sketchy for a restaurant to be leveraging an employee's racial background to trick people into buying more food. Aside from that: food was decent, nothing special. Unlike all the other restaurants in the square, there was no in-your-face greeter/shill standing outside trying to hustle you in, so you actually get a chance to think the place over and read the menu in peace, which is nice. Generally, the staff were not very attentive but friendly enough. Food came quickly.

Awful experience: we ordered a soup, a focaccia and two main dishes just to discover after a 45 minutes wait that the focaccia was over and that the soup we ordered has been changed to another one without advice!

We would not go there again. Spaghetti Pomodoro was totally overcooked and tasted nothing like tomato, swimming in water. :( Pizza tasted like cheap frozen pizza. Our waitress was very nice though, she tried very hard to make us happy.

Got a table straight away...I now know why. Sat down and was served for our drinks and food, to which we waited 45 mins for our food to arrive first. We complained and the cocktail order hadn’t even been given to the bar- to which we was asked if we’d like a ‘quick drink’- coke please. After the meal it took them a further 30mins for the bill- which included the drinks and coke and came to €72. We refused to pay for drinks but the ‘manager’ was extremely rude and wouldn’t even compromise. We walked away from the bill €10 short to which they followed us and grabbed myself. We payed. Purely from pressure. Never ever consider eating or drinking there.

By far the worst meal of our trip. Ordered some wings on their 'to share' menu for €6.50 but they were more like a kids meal size. Complained to the manager who didn't apologise and assured us the food was the same everywhere else, even though we'd had some excellent meals up until then. Had it sent back and refused to pay. Avoid the main strip and head to local areas for good food.

I ordered breakfast: toasts and musli with yogurt and fruits. The waiter told me that musli comes in a bowl... It cames in a little sauce container with few rosins on top of it (which was supposed to be fruits). My bf got toast bread instead of baguette and they charged me for a tea which was included in the price. Took them ages to come and change the bill... Also they forgot to put butter which also was included. One of the waitres didnt even know how to use card machine... This is my 1st review on google and I usually dont rate low but I definietly dont recommend this place!

La comida no estaba mal ni bien, la pizza bien la pasta regular. El ambiente enfocado para el turismo británico, como toda la ciudad. En cuanto al servicio, tuvimos que pedir 2 veces el café y la cuenta 3. El precio está acorde con el resto de la zona, pero no merece la pena pagarlo.

Attrape touristes. Le racoleur est très sympa. En revanche une fois installés les serveurs ne sont pas du tout agréables. Les plats même basiques, sont préparés très rapidement sans Aucune saveur. Je déconseille vivement

Pizza, pasta. La pizza la hacen ellos y está muy buena, pero no hay nada "típico portugués", muy enfocado a los extranjeros. La atención fue buena y rápida.

Demora imensa no serviço, para os estrangeiros eram rápidos. Já recomeçam os velhos hábitos de há 20 anos. Depois admiram-se das parcas gorgetas . Comida insonsa, os 2 risotos não tinham nem pingo de sal. Será bom se pedir comia á noite para comer de manhã!

For me was great service, staff very friendly. Had some good banter with the guys on the door. Food I had was nice, very big portions. Went every morning for a coffee and a beer. Perfect place to sit and watch the day go by..

I'm vegan and their menu did not offer any vegan or vegetarian options but they bent over backwards to help and I was able to leave there with a full stomach! The waiter who served us treated me with the profoundest respect. The only reason I have dropped one star is because of the absence of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. I did make some suggestions to them on this subject. Wonderful place and I will return if I am in Albufeira again.

Just read a lot of bad reviews for this place but me and my other half went last night and everything was lovely. He had a chicken original pizza which was tasty and they boxed up the leftovers for us. I had the chicken Alfredo which was lovely however portion was too big for me! We shared a starter of cheesy garlic bread and we both had ice cream for dessert, came to under 40 euros for the lot including 3 drinks so pretty good value. Friendly and attentive staff too.

Left waiting for an hour before we left, order taken after 10 minutes, confirmed again after a further 30 minutes but still no drink or food after an hour of waiting.

Touristy place on the square. Go for a drink and eat somewhere else. The pizza was ok, the salad was poor.
