Its a modest accomodation, with a decent price-quality ratio. The staff is nice and the location is excelent. I stayed in an interior individual room, and although there were no windows, the price was also very cheap.

Leider haben wir das Zimmer zur Straße hin erwischt, direkt mit einer Laterne vor dem Fenster. Ansich kein Problem wenn dieses wenigstens dicht wäre und man nicht die Geräusch Kulisse von draußen mitkriegen würde. Frühstück war in der Auswahl sehr einfach gehalten ,jedoch reichlich vorhanden. Für ne Nacht Okay aber nichts für längere Aufenthalte.

Cheap, clean, no frills or coffee/tea making products in room and only a couple of small bars of soap in the en suite but for a one night stay, very serviceable and both the bed and pillows were comfortable. 2330 check in from a late flight not a problem but after midnight, not possible. Taxi booked the next morning by a helpful front man who doesn’t smile and records your passport details in longhand in a ledger. You will be charged 2 euros tourist tax in addition to the cost of a nights stay. Left too early to find out about breakfast. A short ride to the coach station.

Das Einzelzimmer hat kein Fenster. Es gibt ein Loch in der Wand, welches aber zum Treppenhaus rausgeht. Dort laufen dann die anderen Gäste vorbei. Das Frühstück war einfach aber nett gemacht.

Ubicación, trato y limpieza excelentes, habitación adecuada, pequeña pero con lo necesario. Baño completo y limpio. Precio estupendo. Puntos en contra: no apto para movilidad reducida, aparcamiento difícil (aunque eso es en todo el centro de Oporto) Repetiría sin dudar.

The location is perfect. It is only a 15 minute walk to the Douro River. It is right on Santa Catarina St. which is where everything is happening. Only it is at the beginning of the street so you don’t get the crowds. But if you want to go shopping or grab a bite to eat or go happy hour, it’s only a 5 to 10 minute walk. The room is very small but it worked for me because I was alone and I did not spend much time in the room. I was very happy with the bathroom and I think it was recently remodeled. The shower is huge and the toilet and sink are very clean. There is no air conditioning only a fan. Also there are only 3 outlets to plug in your stuff. One of the outlet is for the TV but I did not use the TV. They make your bed every day and replace your towels. They also provide toiletries. Breakfast is also available for free and consists of coffee and cereal and milk and assorted pastries. The only problem is they open the kitchen at 8 AM and I was usually out of the place by 7 AM. The place is secure and you are given a key to get in and out. So people cannot just walk in unless they are let in or they have a key. The only problem is the front desk clerk does not speak English very well so it was hard to communicate. I was very happy with the place and the price was even better. I paid less than US$100 for three nights.

When you arrive at the hotel you will be shocked by the narrow entrance. The rooms itself are not very big but big enough. It was cleaned okay some minor issues here and there but nothing major. We just had problems with the light. Two of the three lamps were not working. Breakfast on the other hand was very nice and tasty.

Residence più vecchio che antico.Ha molte scale strette e ripide(senza ascensore) Stanze strette e poco luminose. Personale strano. Colazione decente. Prezzo economico. Buona posizione rispetto la metro( 400m circa). Adatto a brevi soggiorni e a chi non ha molte pretese, solo bisogno di un letto. Ha servizio lavanderia (3€ al kg)
No aria condizionata. No insonorizzazione stanze. Evitate di farvi assegnare la stanza 11 ( quella esterna sul tetto) perché caldissima con il sole e fredda senza.

This is a guest house as opposed to a hotel and was fine for our stay. 10min walk to Trindade metro station and 10min walk to main square. Our room was accessed via external stairs and was large enough for 3 adults. Beds were comfortable, TV small but had several English channels. Shower gine. Breckfast was ok, minimal but fine. For the price and location couldnt complain.

Ein sehr sauberes Hotel, allerdings ist es extrem hellhörig. Man hört alles, ob die Nachbarn oder den Lärm der Straße. Man kann hier nicht in Ruhe schlafen! Das Frühstück ist sehr sehr mager und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter lässt auch zu wünschen übrig. Unser Zimmer war so kalt und auf die Frage ob man wenigstens in der Nacht die Heizung aufdrehen könnte, hieß es nur ab dem 15.November drehen wir hier die Heizung auf. Allerdings ist es sehr zentral gelegen und innerhalb von 25 Minuten hat man die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreicht.

Frühstück wird von einen sehr netten alten Herren betreut. Einzelzimmer ist ohne Fenster, dafür hat man ein eigenes Bad und einen Ventilator im Zimmer. Vom Hotel aus kann mal viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen.

War bereits 2018 während dem São João Fest dort. In Porto was mit eigenem Bad unter 30 Euro zu bekommen geht eigentlich nicht. Hier schon.Dafür muss man Abstriche in Kauf nehmen wie das EZ ohne Aussenfenster. Für ein paar Stunden schlafen o.k.Ich wusste was mich erwartet. War sogar noch besser wie letztes Jahr da das Hotel neue Hochleistungs-Ventilatoren beschafft hat.Frühstück war o.k.Vermutlich nächstes Jahr wieder.

The single room wasnt like the photo on the internet, it didn’t have a window, only a small door at the top of a wall that, opened onto the landing where guests walked past, which they’d be able to enter the room from. I did keep the small door open at times. At first it was hard to breathe being in the room. The first night I woke up feeling ill, I asked for a room change many times as I began to get chest pains, I mentioned this to the staff, but it never happened. What I had to do was to leave the air conditioning on all night to be able to sleep, and whenever I was in the room. The hotel is in a good location, but the unhealthy room marred some of my holiday.

I thought that the hostel was rather shabby and sorely in need of an upgrade. Small room in really drab colour with dark brown furnishing. One electrical outlet in room and one in bathroom made it problematic to charge phone and tablet. You could plug in the heater or the desk lamp, but not both. Other guests were noisy, but I think that the soundproofing is poor. I could hear the loud gushing when the toilet was used in the adjoining room.A basic breakfast and staff were pleasant.

Autentikus, hangulatos szállás, olyan, mint a képeken és a leírásban. A szállás közel van a belvároshoz, egy bevásárló utca végefelé található, mi gyalogosan mindent elértünk fáradság nélkül, de a metró és a buszmegálló nagyon közel van. A szoba kényelmes, de nem túl nagy, felszereltsége megfelelő, tiszta és naponta takarítanak. A törölközők és az ágyneműk tiszták és konfortosak. A reggeli ugyan egyhangú, de bőséges és friss, önkiszolgálós ( zsemle, édes croissant, főtt tojás, dzsem,vaj, sajt, felvágott, müzli, tej, kávé és tea a kínálat). A személyzet nagyon kedves, barátságos és segítőkész. Van egy szép terasza, amit nyáron biztos jól lehet hasznosítani.
A fűtés nem volt teljesen megfelelő, a szobában egy hősugárzó volt, ami a teljes szoba felfűtéséhez nem volt elegendő így január végén, de a takarók mennyisége és a forró tus kompenzálja. :) Ha télen megy valaki, akkor öltözzön rétegesen.

Nice little guest house. Central but not noisy at night. Nice hot shower in the room, decent thick bedding and a heater. Nice continental breakfast. Man was a bit funny about insisting we put our dirty breakfast dishes in the sink like we were children at home but dont let that put you off! Apart from that everything was very nice.

Hotel económico, las habitaciones son pequeñas. Es un lugar limpio. No es recomendado para personas con limitaciones de movilidad porque hay muchas escaleras. El desayuno está incluído, normalmente compuesto por pan, queso, jamón, cereal, y jugo de naranja, café o te.

This bed n breakfast is cute and very Portugese. Querky. We love it. In the quiter end of the bustling shopping street of Santa Catarina Porto. Short walk to river and main sites. Friendly staff. Breakfast is continental and sets you up til afternoon. Very good value for money. We stayed for five nights in room for four people. The room was split by partition wall, two beds in each bit which helped with privacy and space for our teenagers which was nice surprise as we thought it would be more cramped.

Das Hotel ist - wie so viele Hotels in Porto - in die Jahre gekommen.Man sollte dies unbedingt berücksichtigen und das vor allem auch vor dem Hintergrund des Preises.Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und höflich.Die Lage ist wirklich noch sehr gut, da man sogar zu Fuß den Duro und den alten Teil Portos gut erreichen kann. Das Hotel liegt am oberen Ende einer der besten Einkaufsstraßen (Fußgängerzone) Portos.Das Frühstücksbüffett wird von einem älteren Herrn in einem sehr kleinen Raum betreut. Gelegentlich kann es mal zu 10 Minuten Wartezeit kommen, wenn alle Plätze besetzt sind.Das Frühstück ist schlicht und einfach:Kaffee, Tee, Brötchen, Käse, Wurst, Butter und etwas Süßes, wie es die Portugiesen bevorzugen.Wem das nicht gefällt, der kann ohne Weiteres bergab viele Cafes aufsuchen - vielleicht sogar das Art Deco Cafe Majestic.Unser Zimmer im obersten Stock:Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein und muss dringendst renoviert werden. Wir haben die schwarzen Flecken an der Decke als Schimmel wahrgenommen, sind uns aber nicht sicher ... Kofferschleppen durch enges Treppenhaus - wer einen schweren Koffer packte, ist selber Schuld ...Nachts wegen des Straßenlärms bei offenem Fenster schlafen geht nicht - ist es zu, dann ist es kein Problem.

I had a single room which was tiny and no outside window (natural light) but it was clean with en suite toilet and washbasin and a shower which was very efficient.The price for my four nights (120 euros total) was very reasonable and the free breakfast in the little dining room was excellent (ham, cheese,rolls,fresh orange juice, good coffee and corn flakes plus small cakes).The location was very central for all Portos amenities and the staff were friendly and obliging.I wasnt being picked up for my return flight till 5pm but I was able to leave my luggage safely at the hotel after the 12 noon checkout.Enjoyable stay in a beautiful town with excellent weather.

Familiengeführtes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Die Lage ist gut: nahe an den Metrostationen Trindade und Bolhao, alles in der Innenstadt ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Frühstück für südeuropäische Verhältnisse ok. Schöner Garten hinter dem Haus. Wlan funktionierte einwandfrei, Fernseher hatte englische Sender. Hotel ist sauber und gepflegt.Das Zimmer hatte hingegen einen Nachteil: Es gab eigentlich kein Tageslicht. Das einzige Fenster ging ins Hausinnere, ins Treppenhaus, auf der Höhe der Treppenstufen und des Treppenabsatzes. Das Fenster selber war nicht aus Glas, sondern aus massivem Holz. Das bedeutete: War das Fenster geschlossen, gab es keinen Lichtinfall mehr und auch keine Luftzufuhr (da das Zimmer klein ist, war die Atemluft schnell verbraucht; der Ventilator im Zimmer bringt keine frische Luft, sondern wirbelt nur die vorhandene auf). War das Fenster offen, war das Zimmer nur noch durch einen Vorhang vom Treppenhaus getrennt: Man hörte jeden Ton von draußen, genau wie man draußen jeden Ton von drinnen hörte. Zum Öffnen/Schließen musste man ohnehin auf den Stuhl steigen. Auch davon abgesehen ist das Hotel hellhörig. - Wen so etwas nicht stört, dem kann man das Hotel empfehlen.

Buen alojamiento, en pleno centro de la ciudad, y en una calle llena de comercio. Esta todo cerca y se puede ir andando a todos los sitios sin tener que usar el transporte. Las habitaciones, estan bien decoradas y acogedoras. La que nos dieron el desagüe de la ducha olía un poco mal y el secador no funcionaba. El desayuno es acorde al precio. Bollería y algo de embutido. El trato es muy cordial y amables. La estancia en este sitio ha estado muy correcta.

Overall it is a good value for the money. Therere many cheap restaurants near the hotel and the hotel is located close to the metro station and within the walking distance to the old district. My room was overall clean and the staffs were kind and helpful. Breakfast was not bad although I wished to have some veggies/fruits. I would stay again!

Muy céntrico, si no te importa andar puedes recorrer perfectamente la ciudad a pie saliendo desde allí. Reservamos una habitación para cuatro, baño privado, 10€ por persona con desayuno incluido, muy buena relación calidad precio. La habitación era acogedora, todo muy limpio, secador en la habitación. El desayuno muy rico, ponen unos croissants típicos buenísimos. Nos permitieron dejar las maletas antes y después de dejar la habitación. Disponen también de habitaciones individuales a buen precio, si alguien viaja solo, no se encarece demasiado. Personal amable, el señor mayor es algo serio pero muy servicial y buena gente.

Room is clean and quiet as needed. The room rate at this guest house is very low as compared with hotel room rate. There is an old wooden desk and room might be quite small to someone but its OK to me. Staff members are friendly and very cooperative in satisfying guests needs. Pretty close to Trindade station (which is one of important Metro stations of Porto)... Will return to this guest house in future whenever I have a chance.

I booked this hotel last minute because I decided to stay an extra night in Porto. I had a single room which was a bit cramped, but it was the only one available. The room had all the basic amenities and it was very clean. There was a nice walk-in shower in the bathroom. The woman at reception was kind enough to call a taxi for me at 5:30am so I could catch a bus. Complimentary breakfast was offered, but I left too early to take advantage of it.

Im grossen und ganzen war das Hotel völlig okay. Von dem Bad war ich sehr angetan. Allerdings hatte das Zimmer kein Fenster gehabt, was ich schon als störend empfand.Das Personal war super freundlich. Mir wurde mein schwerer Koffer in die 1. Etage hochgetragen und wieder runter gebrachtDas Frühstück fand ich etwas dürftig. Aber es ist in den Südeuropäischen Ländern halt üblich, das es meist nur eine Scheibe Wurst und Käse gibt.

Nice room for the price. It was small, still it has everything needed: own bath, breakfast (through small, still enough to start a day), very comfortable location (ca. 400 m to the next metro station and about twice that much to the train station Sao Bento). Staff was friendly and nice.
Not good:
Our room was on the street side, so it was very loud. It is a very busy street. WiFi neither stable stable nor fast.

Zona centralissima. 1Km+ da Riberia. No ascensore. Alloggio molto particolare. Colazione così così (latte, caffè, succo, tè, cereali, marmellata, pane, brioche, prosciutto, formaggio).
A noi è piaciuto.
Soggiorno 17-19/8, prenotato Aprile, 54€ a notte la camera.

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour cet hôtel en centre ville et proche de toutes les commodités.Attention, il ny a pas de parking et les places aux alentours sont difficiles.Chambre donnant sur la cour intérieure donc calme.Petit déjeuner très bien.Très bonne surprise.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht. Preis Leistung unschlagbar. Gutes Frühstück.Personal sehr zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Würden wiederkommen.

I was a single traveler and they dont advertise a picture of those type of rooms. The reason I decided to stay there was because of the price and the pics I saw. The room was good enough for one person, very clean and a cute little -again-bathroom but the problem was the only window the room has. By opening it faces the steps of the stairs that takes to the 3rd floor. If you open it, people sees you lay in your bed. There was a cortina that solved the problem, but again, if you feel for a nap you just cant, you hear every single noise in the building. So, if you want privacy you have to close it (which made me feel a bit claustrophobic even when I am not!) The hotel is conviniently located up the hill of st Catherine av, the most commercial av in Porto. And the subway is only 3 small blocks away. On my way back to the hotel,by the time i reach my room, I was I bit sofocated and needed it some fresh air. that wasnt just possible, because on the top of that the room doesnt features -at least- a litte portable fan! If iwould have known this, I would not stayed in this hotel. The bfast is below average. Some scramble eggs and fruit as part of it will be great! Currently Im stayyouth hostel in Lisbon and the bfast here is unbelievable. And it is a Hostel!Lastly, they should teach a bit of manners and service philosophie to the made. I was finishing my coffee after bfast, watching tv. she took the remote control and turned it off in my nose

Hôtel assez bien situé, tout en haut de la rue très commerçante san catarina. Comptez environ 30min à pied pour descendre tout en bas de la ville sur le port 40min pour remonter. En tout cas tout peu se faire à pied en partant de lhôtel. Idéal pour jeune couple ou amis. Petit bémol aucun restaurant aux alentours de lhôtel il faut redescendre en centre ville

We arrived at 9:30am and were told our room was available for check-in, but that we would be switching rooms the next day. The appearance of the hotel seemed nice and it is in a good location.We toured the city and got back cold and wet and decided that warm showers would help. My wife went to have a shower and as she was closing one of the shower doors saw it was off its tracks. She went to adjust it and it exploded in her hands, causing cuts all across her body. I told the staff about this and he begrudgingly cleaned up the glass and told us that we would have to shower in our shoes or sandals, as no other room was available. No apology was given.Next morning we had breakfast (it was good). We talked to the staff that was on duty for the night shift about switching rooms and he told us to leave the key and our stuff would be moved over.We returned late and the doors were locked and we had to ring the bell. The same staff member was on and seemed angry that we didnt have a key, to which we reminded him that we left the key with him. We got our keys and went to our new room and it was cold, with no extra blankets nor heaters in the room. I went to ask the staff for some blankets and before I could make a request he asked what we had broken this time. I asked for a blanket and went upstairs. In this room the toilet didnt flush properly either, but we were too frustrated to tell them about it.This was a terrible experience and we would NOT recommend it!!

Petit-déjeuner copieux: café, lait chaud, chocolat chaud, jus dorange, croissants portugais, petits pains, fromage, jambon, confiture, beurre, madeleines, kellogs... Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Chambre très propre et bonne literie. Nous sommes très contentes de notre séjour. Il y avait cependant quelques nuisances sonores la nuit (bruits extérieurs, chasses deau...).

Excellent value for money.Single bed room with TV (BBC World, BBC Entertainment, CNN etc.). En-suite clean shower and bathroom, hair dryer... Plenty of towels.No window to outside, so no road noiseBreakfast included in the price I paid. Good for a free breakfast. Nice bread roll, ham, cheese, jam, coffee, orange juice, nice moist cake thing, hot water, hot milk.Internet access available using the WiFi. They also have a computer in the dining area available for guests.Helpful advice from the gentleman who serves the breakfast etc. He speaks English and French among others.Felt safe.Well located on Saint Caterina street, a centrally located street (10 minutes walk from the train station), and 5 to 10 mins to Bolhao metro station.
