For all black people I would not recommend that place to you. The bouncers do profile you, cut out, embarrass you, treat you without any sense of respect or dignity.
Went out o Sunday 26/05/2019 and you would believe that in a country as beautiful as portugal and in this age those hostilities would be thing of the past, it is not, at Lust In Rio is alive and kicking.
My advice keep away from that place and go spend your money somewhere else

méthodes mafieuse , pression sur les clients pour les faire payer avec une arnaque à la carte , les portiers ont sequester une amie à nous car elle avait perdu la carte d' entrée et elle devait payer 150 euros pour sortir. Le directeur arrogant et non compréhensif. Un des pires club ou j' ai été dans ma vie. A éviter absolument .

If I could give no stars I would. I went with a group of 2guys and a girl. the security was made of 3 people. One on his phone sat on a bench and the other two standing with the back to the entrance. The queue wasn't moving. I asked 'Olá, desculpe... Ainda estão a deixar entrar pessoas?' (hi, escuse me... Are you still letting people in?) it was 04:14am, the security guy on his phone looked up. Scanned me up and down, shook his head and said no then went back to his phone. I then proceeded to explain to him that it was my friends first time in Lisbon and they've never been out, would they make an exception for a group of two chicks and two dudes. He looked up and tried to get the attention of the other two bouncers. When they finally turned around, they gave us the dirtiest look, scanned what we were wearing and both said no whilst shaking their heads. Me and my friend were wearing a simple black T, jeans, I had ballet open toe sandals (if we want to get into detail, yes Pedi done) and she had black boots. The two guys had shirts on, a coat, jeans and shoes (not trainers). Just an awful experience, will definitely NOT be trying to get back in to spend my money and will be telling anyone that asks for a suggestion, to STAY AWAY. Trust me, you're better off taking your business elsewhere. Definitely listen to all the reviews here and spear yourself the grief. Oh did I mention it was a Thursday 'night'? 16/05/19

Niet heen gaan!!! Barpersoneel lijkt uiterst vriendelijk, maar er wordt met de drankjes gerotzooid, waarschijnlijk ghb. Lissabon biedt genoeg leuke cafés, dit is er niet één van!!

Worst experience ever with the girl on the wardrobe. I paid and I went to the bathroom and my friend was asking her for the jackets that I paid before but she didn’t want to give them to her. When I came back, the girl made fun of my friend because she talks Portuguese with Spanish accent. She said LAUGHING AT HER that she couldn’t understand anything if she was saying because of her accent.

Bem situado e no coração da capital. O local tem tudo para ser um bom club. No entanto, achei a organização das saídas péssima (grande confusão) assim como a acústica do som. Independentemente dos registos musicais mais tocados no local, o som é de muito má qualidade. Preços praticados muito altos para uma qualidade de diversão que deixa muito a desejar. Esperava mais desta casa, acima de tudo porque já tinha ouvido falar bastante dela. No entanto também posso dizer que não tive problemas nenhuns e fiz uma noite que correu bem.

If you’re a tourist and black avoid this club, spend your money elsewhere.
This Club was recommended by taxi drivers (owned by an Angolan apparently) but when my friends & I tried to enter, we were refused entry. We tried to explain that, we are just visiting & just want to have a good time but the rude security wouldn’t even use their heads that they are depriving their boss the chance to make even more money. Very very dissapointed.
After reading all the terrible reviews am surprised they are still in business but glad we didn’t go in and get the same bad experience.

Extrem Agressive und provozierende Türsteher. Möchte man rein, fragen sie zuerst woher man kommt. Gefällt Ihnen die Antwort nicht, sagen sie einfach man soll aus der Schlange treten. Fragt man nach einem grund der abweisung wird man von den türsteher angegriffen. Bitte liebe Touristen geht auf keinem Fall dort Hin und unterstützt diesen Club auf keinem Fall. Steht ein dicker schwarzer dort an der Tür könnt ihr sixher sein das ihr angegangen werdet. Nach anderen Berichten wird man dann wens man doch rein kommt trotzdem abgezockt. Plastic meets Reggaeton meets overpriced drinks. Music is just mediocre and the atmosphere is not relaxed. They are charging you for your clothing at the wardrobe. Don't lose your card they give you at the entry, some people had to pay up to 150€ because they lost it. Would only recommend if you are into wasting your money and listening to a Sean Paul 2003 playlist remixed into cheap 2014 house songs. It is 2019. There are better clubs in Lisbon.

I’ve been to many clubs all around the world and this is by far the worst one ever. Bad DJs, bad and overpriced Drinks and on top they charge every single piece at the wardrobe, even a small scarf inside a jacket. Just rediculous. Will never come again and will never recommend this place.

ASSUSTADOR!!! Uma boa estrutura e bom serviço de bar contaminados por um staff extremamente despreparado. O segurança HOMEM agrediu verbal e fisicamente duas clientes MULHERES durante evento privado. Era a festa da empresa na qual trabalho, a entrada para os convidados da empresa encerrava-se as 23:00. Duas convidadas atrasadas chegaram as 23:30 sem saber do horário limite. Aguardaram até meia-noite para entraram, foram barradas e solicitaram informações. O segurança respondeu com um tapa na cara de cada uma. A polícia foi acionada mas não deu a assistência necessária, apenas cumpriu formalidades (por que será? Hehehe). Totalmente não recomendado, estou preplexo com o que presenciei.

Horrible place, don't lose the card, I lost mine but lucky I had some friends who were willing to pay for me, they said if I couldn't pay then I'd have to pay with my mobile phone. The toilets are disgusting, you can smell the urine from 100 metres away. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Do not go there! they have some dum card option that they did not clearly described it. Once i was ready to leave after one drink, three body guards wont let me go until i paid b/c apparently that card has many free drinks option. they made me pay $58! :(((((( the place wasn't even fun.

Je ne comprends pas toutes les critiques négatives ... même si le système de conso est super nul : vous avez une carte et si vous la perdez vous devez payer 150€ pour sortir. En plus de ça vous payez aucune conso au bar, c'est seulement au moment de sortir du coup vous pouvez vite vous faire avoir, et vous devez payer minimum 30€ de conso (7€ ma vodka et 4€ le demi de bière). Bref si vous gérez bien ce système et que vous êtes prêt à payer 30€ l'expérience est super : c'est en plein air, ya de la bonne musique, pas mal d'ambiance etc ... enfin franchement c'était une grave bonne expérience je conseil malgré le prix ! ;)

péssima experiência.
Atendimento horrivel.
Fui a um evento "gratuito" que permitia entrada aberta até 1h30. infelizmente, ao chegar me deparei com uma imensa fila que levou 2h pra estancar. Quando chegou a minha vez, me cobraram 25€.
Reclamei e a funcionária simplesmente me ignorou dizendo que havia tempo pra entrar.
É uma tristeza ver como há gente aqui com a cabeça engessada. Se ela tivesse o mínimo de vergonha pela empresa, teria deixado passar todos aqueles que aguardaram pacientemente na fila.
O pior foi ver que a fila, que estava PARALIZADA, começou a andar depois que anunciaram as entradas pagas.
Ao meu ver atrasaram de proposito a entrada afim de fazer aqueles que estavam aguardando pagar.
Uma pena. Pois me desloquei de CASCAIS até aqui para conhecer o local e divulgar. Não volto nunca mais!

C’est la première fois de ma vie que je découvre ce système de paiement : il faut payer minimum 30e sur une carte et ne surtout pas perdre cette carte sinon il faut payer 150euros a la sortie. De quoi passer sa soirée sereinement.. dommage sinon l’ambiance est cool mais compliqué de comprendre le système.

I wouldn’t recommend to visit this club. First of all there are an unfriendly security gards, who make a negative vibe and don’t let the people into the club if your not dressed well or look to young. They are also rassist ( I’m black and gay buy the way. I don’t know if it’s because of my skin coulour or because of my sexual orientation) My second point is that the people and music isn’t that good. The people don’t dance, they just stand and drink their drinks. The music isn’t that good, it depends if you like older Charts hits or not.
All things considered , Lust in Rio would be my last choice for making party in Lisbon. I would recommend little clubs or bars near Bairo Alto.

Nos han querido timar en la entrada los propios porteros de la discoteca diciéndonos un precio de entrada muy superior al real. Les hemos preguntado por qué nos cobraban más y la respuesta ha sido “IROS A ESPAÑA”. Además de racistas, maleducados. El tono, por cierto, muy amenazador. No perdáis el tiempo en ir, hay sitios geniales en Lisboa donde te tratan como a un ser humano.

This place is beyond criminal.
After confronting the staff about their physical bullying of a female patron, I was assaulted by 5 of the security guards. Punched, kicked and thrown to the floor. Horrible!!! After mentioning that I would call the police they did it again. As limping off, I even had a bottle thrown at me.
The girl who was initially trying to leave, had been there for less than 5 minutes and they wanted 150 euros from her for her to leave.
These guys are criminals.
This is one of the thug security guards who would hide his security badge if asked to see it.
The police need to crack down on this place.

Naja... wenn man in einer Gruppe dahin geht, dann ist Mindestkonsumation 30€ (nur Mädels 20€). Die Musik ist einfach commercial Zeugs was jeder hört. Irgendwann kommt dann nur noch portugisische Musik was ich zumindest eher schlecht fand. Die Drinks sind überteuert und die machen da fast kein Alkohol rein.

É pena um espaço com algum potencial junto ao rio ter uma gerência tão desagradável! Paguei o meu cartão com 16€ de consumo mínimo (os quais não consumi), mas perdi o cartão entre a caixa e a saída. Mesmo mostrado o comprovativo de pagamento (minutos depois) e alegando ao bom senso dos funcionários, obrigaram-me a pagar a taxa da perca do cartão. Nunca foi o meu spot preferido de Lisboa, mas depois disto sei que não é um sito para voltar. A arrogância do empregado da caixa quando pedí factura com o número de contribuinte e a confusão de contas que houve com várias pessoas, percebe-se que é um sítio onde se aproveitam da vulnerabilidade de quem possa ter bebido mais do que devia (antes tivesse sido o meu caso...)

Depois de gastar mais de 100 euros em consump dos quais mostrei comprovativos e fui completamente ignorado, ao pedir o casaco que estava no bengaleiro dei cartão para ver o código do meu casaco e o mesmo cartao necessário para sair nao foi devolvido. Foi me cobrado então mais 150 euros pois supuseram que perdi o cartão. Considero uma total falta de respeito para com os clientes. Aproveitam se das pessoas. Fiquei muito desiludido.

Wir waren innerhalb 3 Tage zwei mal in diesem Club mit einer Lounge und gaben 2000 Euro aus. Heute da wir den Flug um 04:30 haben wollten wir ohne Lounge rein und Sie liessen uns nicht rein.Grösste Frechheit da wir 2000 Euro in 2 Tagen ausgegeben haben.

Worst club I've ever been here. The reviews aren't lying when they say the bouncers physically and verbally abuse you. The bar tender kept the ticket I recieved on entrance and when I tried to leave, two bouncers pulled me into a back room. They made me pay 50 euros to get leave. I'm shocked this place is still in operation and although I loved Lisbon, this club truly ruined my experience.

Pretendia passar uma noite agradável de comemoração com meus amigos, mas fomos impedidos de entrar por um segurança. Ele foi extremamente agressivo com dois amigos (sendo uma delas uma mulher) os atirando para fora da fila sem nenhuma razão. Lugar extremamente preconceituoso!! Awful experience!! Had come with with a friend, saw some people in line that we had met earlier, I assume the bouncer believed that we cut in line and by the time we got to the front, they told us it was a private party and that we couldn’t get in. We explained that we knew the guys they just let in and they did not hear it. We walked around and saw some men in a booth who asked us if we wanted to join, even they could not get us in to the “private” entrance. Classist if you ask me.

Worst club I have ever been to. Security guards have no sense of humanity, I feel like they’re using the job to take it out on their guests. High entrance price, high consumption price. Bar staff doesn’t have a clue what they are doing. Minimum wait for your drink is 30 minutes, if not longer. Most disgusting toilets I’ve ever seen, the smell so horrible you start to question to just pee in your pants. Heard a couple of people say the place feels like a prison, because the won’t let you leave without spending a lot of money. I agree with them. DON’T GO THERE!

Tout ce qu'on déteste d'une boîte de nuit concentré au même endroit.
Des carrés VIP, des mecs bourrés qui se frottent à la chaîne sur les meufs, des consos hors de prix, un système son inexistant avec la musique qui s'arrêtait toute les 30 secondes pour laisser brailler une chanteuse sans voix.
Le système de paiement est TERRIBLE. L'entrée est gratuite on vous donne une carte. Interdiction de sortir si on a pas payé mini 30€ de conso. Cependant on voulait prendre une bouteille mais impossible de noter le prix sur la carte de mes 2 amis, toute les bouteilles ne permettent pas de compléter les 30€ de consos etc... Bref du racket.
Cependant les videurs sont sympas malgré les pratiques de fdp.

Cet endroit est une honte.
Nous sommes venues à deux filles, françaises, et on nous a demandé 40€ à l'entrée.
À moins d'être extrêmement bien habillée et/ou de parler portugais, aucune chance de rentrer le weekend (vendredi, samedi).
La note de 0 n'existe pas mais c'est ce que cet endroit mérite.

The club is the worst I've ever been. We dressed up extra posh to get in but because we were tourists there, we didn't. When we normally asked for a reason, the security attacked us from behind, knocked one of us out and tried to kick him anyway (a thick, black security) the other kicked and punched us in our faces. One of the aggressive security is called Osvaldo Cardoso Campos. This kind of security shouldn't work as a bouncer! We will also report this incident to the company 'Minrstrio da Administracao Interne'! The club is absolutely not recommendable! We're glad you gave us the pass of the aggressive security :)

Worst club i ever visited. The security of the club attacked us without a warning or a reason and punched a bunch of us mainly from behind. One securtiy was super aggressive and suckerpunched a friend also from behind and tried to kick him on the bottom even he was k.o. He also kicked another friend in the face on the bottom. One security was called osvaldo cardoso campos. Absolute aggressive security and the club is not recommandable.
They charge you money to leave the club.

Kicked 11 girls on a bachelorette out because 3 of us had not gotten the appropriate ticket at the door (their fault). All of us forced to leave and pay for leaving after 5 mins of entering. If I can advise anyone, do not go to this club. Ths bouncers are some of the most horrible people I have ever met. They will use force, verbally abuse you, spit on you and commit fraud. I saw this happen to several people as it happened to me and my friends. The situation was so bad that we called the police.

If you want to be assaulted by the security this is the PLACE TO GO. Went as part of a tour, and was given a ticket which the bartender kept (lied about it) and when we went to leave two bouncers grabbed and dragged my wife across the bar. We have spent the last hour and a half in the police station filling a report and will be pressing chargers. I was extorted to pay 3 times the amount of the ticket while security was grabbing my wife (she has the bruises to prove it) just to leave. While we loved Lisbon this was the worst experience of our life. Please go anywhere but here simply to keep your loved ones safe. At the police station they said that they recognized the names of the bouncers as well so that tells you everything you need to know. If negative stars were an option I would rate it as such.

É lamentável o serviço prestado por este estabelecimento com uma localização excelente e com boas instalações. Reforço a má organização da logística, o facto dos funcionários no geral serem extremamente arrogantes, o som não apresenta qualidade e a quantidade de pessoas no espaço é absurda. Espero que melhorem o serviço, porque já frequentei este espaço com outras equipas de organização e a minha opinião foi positiva.

Good music!! However, the system for payment is odd. When you go in, you are given a card! Every time you buy a drink or beer, the barman puts a stamp on it. At the end of the night, you must pay , the fee depends on the number of stamp you’ve been put. Even if you dont drink and dont use the card, you lose it, you have to pay 150€ which is absurd. You dont even have the choice to refuse the card for safety.

The man guarding the entrance kicked (literally, in the leg) the guys in front of us out of the queue, besides of that they were charging €15 Portuguese people to get in and they tried to charge us €20, we obviously refused and they kicked us from the queue. All of it in fron of Portuguese policemen. Pathetic. It is a shame this happens in an European capital.

The girl who keeps the jackets, when I wanted to get back my jacket she did not give me back my card and I was there for 30 minutes without reason and noone was explaining why they don't give my card back. Most of the time they reject you by telling you ''this is a private party tonight, where is your invitation?'' which is clearly a lie. I did manage to get in once though and it was a blast. Não consigo perceber como nos dias de hoje algumas situações ainda podem acontecer com tantos "direitos" sendo falados e ainda mais em um lugar como a Europa que muitas vezes enchemos a boca para falar... Pois bem, hoje fui a casa #lustinrio para ter com meus amigos uma noite agradável, o que não aconteceu. Já havia ido lá outras vezes e até a considerava ok. Cheguei primeiro ao interior do espaço e os fiquei aguardando até que recebo a mensagem de um deles dizendo que foram impedidos pelos seguranças de entrarem. Perguntei qual era a alegação e eles me disseram que não os deixaram entrar e só. Como já estava dentro fui falar com alguém que pudesse nos ajudar, a pessoa foi até simpática e me acompanhou a porta. Rapidamente os olhou e disse que não tinham como entrar pois não estavam bem vestidos de acordo com a exigência da produtora do evento. Eu o questionei no que tinha demais no meu traje que não tinha no deles e o mesmo me respondeu: se calhar a senhora está bem vestida. Fiquei muito chateada neste momento, pois meus amigos estavam tão bem vestidos quanto eu. E não falo só para agradar, falo como verdade mesmo. Tenho muito bom senso para saber discernir esse tipo de comentário. Me dirigi ao caixa para pagar a entrada do local que não fiquei nem 15 minutos e pedi o livro de reclamações para preencher. As senhoras do caixa foram bem simpáticas ao me escutarem e antes de me entregassem o livro pediram ao "gerente" para vir ter comigo. O mesmo veio ao meu encontro e quando expliquei a situação não poderia ter sido pior, ele encolheu os braços e disse que eram as exigências. Eu ainda tentei questioná-lo quanto ao meu traje e o dos meus amigos, ele disse que eles não estavam adequados e eu o perguntei como ele poderia falar aquilo se nem os tinha visto, e foi então ele engrossou para o meu lado e disse: Eu que mando em tudo aqui, esta casa é minha e eu tenho o direito de escolher quem entra ou não. E o respondi que como cliente também tinha o direito de reclamar e o fiz. Estávamos ali para nos divertir, com dinheiro para gastar, mais bem vestidos do que muitos que estavam lá dentro ou que estavam na fila para entrar. Daí eu me pergunto: Será esse o motivo mesmo ou será uma certa discriminação?! Me senti desrespeitada como cliente e principalmente como pessoa. Não retornarei nunca mais a casa e também não indico para quem vier conhecer Lisboa. #lustinrio #lustdesrespeito

"Lust in Rio" more like "Rape in Lisbon". My sister would have been raped in this club last night had my friend and I not intervened after 4 Portuguese men tried to corner her and take advantage because she was drunk. Fortunately my friend and I saw what was happening and intervened however we were then assaulted by the group of Portuguese men and their friends as they beat us to the floor of the club while no bouncers or staff members were present (or made themselves present) to stop what was happening and kick them out of the club. The manager and the police dismissed us and claimed nothing could be done and they refused to check the camera footage to find the men even though it was clearly captured. If you are a tourist in this club, expect to get treated like one. They are not welcoming to tourists and towards people who do not speak the local language, you will be targeted in this club and you are putting yourself in a great deal of danger by going here. I have traveled all over Europe and I have never experienced what I experienced in this club last night. Fortunately we're all safe but I would recommend if you do visit this club you go here with caution. The police and management will NOT help you if you get in to trouble. I would really think twice before paying a visit to "Lust in Rio"

Um espaço gerido por um muito mau gerente, que passa a sua arrogância e incompetência aos funcionários. O resultado é um espaço frequentado por gente feia que por não conseguir entrar noutras discotecas vão para o lust consumir drogas e provocar distúrbios. The worst club I've ever been to... You should visit it to see what I mean XD. Music just like the radio is on. No mixing, just play and stop.They distinguish between locals and tourists. I mean tourist pay more, Portuguese less at the entrance.
It's always full because people wanne feel the vibe of an outdoor club... No more, no less...
I recommend: stay out, go somewhere else and spend your money there. Or just turn on Spotify, gives you more party than this club...

ATTENTION! CRIMINAL METHODS! Bouncers hit people until they pay high bills!
We were in Lust in Rio during the weekend and when it came to pay our bills we already payed 60 Euros but then the women at the desk wanted to charge us another 50 Euros on our bill for Cocktails we didn´t have. As we refused to pay she called the bouncers and after a short discussion we said we would call the police as they obviously wanted to rip us of. We actually were not even able to call the police as all of a sudden the bouncers start hitting and kicking us, screaming "pay" until we finally payed the bill as me and my friend were injured badly.
Also the police we called afterwards didn´t do anything so i recommend to avoid this club and some others in this area as i heard same stories about them.

As a British tourist who has been to Lisbon numerous times, I was made to feel very unwelcome! The bar staff were VERY rude when they saw I didn't speak Portuguese. And told my Portuguese friend off for speaking English to me. Service was bad . For such an expensive club compared to other BETTER ones in Lisbon I'd expect far better service and just to be treated with a bit of respect.

Não deixaram o meu grupo por termos conosco 1 amigo preto, mais tarde depois de ele ter ido embora volta-mos e aí já nos deixaram entrar

Vergonhoso! Não permitiram a entrada por estarmos com pessoas de raça negra. Foi demonstrado claro racismo por parte do staff

Decent space, have 2 good size dance floors. PRE PARTYING is a must, simple shots = 5€, add any mixer =7€, you pay at the end, so it's an easy way to rack up a bill without realizing.

Nice club. Great location and good decor. Very nice in the summer being on open sky. Very trendy at the moment.
