Will avoid for sure.
Got in for €12, but they wanted to charge 3 of our other friends €300 each without providing any reason (they weren’t drunk and they were dressed according to the dress code).
Goes without saying we left too, as a “bonus” we saw a girl being literally thrown out by one of the bouncers.
It’s a shame, as the place itself looks cool and the cocktails aren’t expensive either, but the behavior of the bouncers is unacceptable.

Er is inderdaad een deurbeleid die niet door iedereen begrepen wordt. Iedereen wordt beoordeeld door de portiers en als ze denken dat je past bij de rest van het publiek laten ze je naar binnen en betaal je rond de 10eu entree en krijg je dat terug in consumptiebonnen. Als ze denken dat je er niet tussen past of dat je te dronken bent, dan vragen ze 300eu entree. Dat bedrag staat ook op het bord met huisregels.
Heerlijk club met twee zalen en een dakterras met uitzicht op het water. Veel Barren waardoor je snel je drinken kunt bestellen. Kom zeker terug als ik weer in Lissabon ben!

No he tenido una peor experiencia en ninguna discoteca. Los camareros y el staff no es que fuesen bordes es que eran maleducados, pero MUCHO. El sitio es bastante guay, junto al mar grande, tiene 3 pisos con distinta música. Pero la verdad con un trato Tan malo se te quitan las ganas de volver de recomendarlo o cualquier cosa.

Avoid this place huge waste of time. Unfriendly people at the entrance. To top off the experience one of the hostesses at the entrance of the club asked for an advance on her monthly salary of 300 euros
Apparently you need a membership as well to get in. Not sure if they are running a country club for overly decorated turtleneck hipsters or a dance club.

Great ambient but the cocktails are expensive, more than in very touristy places in Australia. I was there for Pan Pot and I have to say that the room where he was playing (the basement) was cramped with perhaps 2000 people - insane.

Fue una experiència horrible, antipaticos, discriminan a la gente extranjera, google tendria que dar opcion a poner puntuaciones negativas porque ni una miserable estrella se merecen. Al lado de esta discoteca hay mas opciones mucho mejores que lux club como una persona extranjera le pueden cobrar 300€, y los portugueses/algunos privilegiados 15€. Las personas de seguridad son "gorilas sin educacion alguna", resumen si eres Portugues no tendras problemas.

Been in Lisbon for a week, I went there on a Friday, a group of 4 people, decent club, the music downstairs was really good. Went back a week later with a larger group 14 people, they stated €300 per person. So I get being an exclusive club but no person with the right mindset would even pay that much money to go there. Could they have been racially discriminatory, very well could be cuz we were a large crowd of ‘’ colored ‘’ people. All I can say that the club lost a lot of money cuz every person there would have bought at least 3 drinks, so I guess a different club gets to make that money tonight.

Been here before a few years ago. It appears as if the place really went downhill since then. Complete tourist trap. They try charging people 300 Euro at the door. Assuming you get in, you'll have to pay the 12 Euro cover charge which is entire depending on whether or not you speak Portuguese. They tried charging us 30 Euro cover and eventually brought it down to 12. Don't believe the hype. This place isn't what it used to be. There is better nightlife in Lisbon.

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, if you dont have the required looks they will not let you inside. Been watching for half an hour, 40% they let in and 60% is leaving with a bad vibe because of the bouncers saying that the entrance cost 300 euro. What a joke. The place was even empty according to the friends that went through. Instead of a win, win situation a lose, lose situation, no money for lux, bad evening for me. You deserve the review

I went on a friday night with my friends and we had a great time. The music was really nice. You have a underground area and one which is a bit more fancy looking, but in a great ambient.
Still there was one thing I find kinda uncool, if you don’t “fit” in there kind of target group or just a group of men, they gonna tell you to pay 300€ each for entry.. besides this, if you’re looking for good techno/electronic you should definitely check it out.

Wenn man reinkommt, sicherlich einer der besten und vielfältigsten Clubs in Lissabon, der aber auch viel von Ruf und Aufmachung lebt. Stilvoll eingerichtet, unten eher harter Electro, oben House, Disco, Global Funk. Erstaunlich gemischtes Publikum, preislich eher Oberklasse.

Ne surtout pas y aller! 0/10 nous sommes des belges qui aimons sortir dans les plus grandes boites et beaux endroits, habillés nickel, juste une envie de découvrir Lisbonne la nuit. 2 couples, (dont garçons en costards/chemise), à peine arrivés à la porte, les grands et vilains sorteurs nous annoncent le verdict : 300€/pp. Nous sommes déçus d’être traité ainsi, mais chaque personne qui arrive subit le même sort malgré que ce sont toutes de « belles personnes ». A notre retour, le chauffeur « uber » nous explique que c’est de plus en plus souvent et qu’il faut éviter ce genre d’endroit, il y a tellement d’autres choses à voir à Lisbonne la nuit.. de fait il vaut mieux s’orienter vers K urbain beach où dans ses environs !

Overhyped place. We showed up dressed up, not drunk, and acting proper later at night. However, bouncer asked us if we were “on the guest list.” Of course, we haven’t been on it as we were simply visiting Lisbon for a few days. Then, we were offered to pay 300 euros each (yes, 300) if we wanted to get in. Sorry, not sorry, but the club didn’t look that busy and there was no need to reject foreign tourists. Felt the arrogance and overhyped atmosphere. Won’t return to place that doesn’t respect its patrons!

Best club of its kind in Lisbon. You have to understand, though, that it's a little more exclusive than other venues around. They will kick you out of you're staring at a wall by yourself for too long, for example. Also you'll have a much harder time getting in if a) no one in your group speaks Portuguese, b) you're not dressed nicely, or c) you're too drunk/nervous. It's a little silly having to jump through these hoops, but it's worth it to experience Lux at least once.

Worst venue I’ve ever been to. No name DJs, chump bouncers that think they’re tough, and 16 year old locals that smell like piss. The staff at the door were disrespectful and harassed my friends. Highly recommend staying away from this corrupt establishment. I would personally call this club hot garbage instead of Lux. Agree with all other reviews, Google should create a zero star review for this one. This is as bad as it gets. Never go.

The venue is amazing! Smoking is allowed inside though, which once it’s crowded, is unbearable. Also, it’s three floors but all three play somewhat similar music, would be better if they had completely different themes on each floor! Feels like a real club.

They asked for 300€/each to get inside. I would not recommend it for tourists. Portuguese people and girls were getting in for free. I asked the girl at the door if she would pay such amount of money and she answered “yes I like the music inside”. She was making fun of us. It’s a pity to have this kind of people with such a bad behavior when it comes to tourists. I suggest to you telling the truth and saying straight away “I don’t want you to get inside” instead of treating people as if they were stupid. WORST EXPERIENCE IN LISBON.

People don't waste your time going there if you're a tourist or less than 40 years old. Their racist rejection was humiliating and just plain rude. In fact, they should really consider inviting tourists as it was the most poorly visited Club I've ever seen. No line whatsoever. No surprise tho, as even among locals it seems to have a horrendous reputation. Perhaps they just don't get the basic concept of marketing since they apparently believe that charging a potential guest 300 bucks could make up for an empty club. In conclusion, this Club is a joke that doesn't even deserve the one star.

So just spent a long night in Lux getting down to Moodyman who rocked it and thought I'd write a few thoughts about the club. We were a bit apprehensive about the long queue but it goes down quickly, the door staff are very efficient. Once through the metal detector, which was a bit of a surprise, you then head into the main dance floor a big old room with a nice sounding function one sound system at a good volume, not too loud but at the right volume to feel the tunes. A testament to the quality of sound was there was absolutely no ringing in my ears after 5 hours - just how it should be.
Upstairs is an equally large room with more of a disco thing on the night and a slightly lighter more relaxed vibe than downstairs so it's always nice to have different options just in case you're not feeling the tunes on one floor. Upstairs is also home to a balcony which looks straight over the river and was a great spot to hang out on a warm morning just as it was starting to get light.
The club is nicely decorated with some stylish features, some nods to the good old days with some big disco balls and has been well maintained, not run down like many club spaces. The toilets were also clean and looked after.
Drinks prices could be cheaper but Lux are not alone in the nightclub world in bumping up the prices so no real surprise there. A small beer was €4, water €3 and if I remember when I brought my mate with expensive tastes a drink, his gin and tonic was €10 - just as well it wasn't a big round!
The crowd was a mixed crowd with your usual weekend warriors, quite a few heads there for Moodyman, a sizeable gay contingent, some interesting characters and your average Joes - someone for everyone.
Would definitely go back for the right line up.

One of the best night Clubs i ever entered. All of the 3 levels are in their one style and the rooftop is amazing. No matter if you want to go nuts or just have a chill night. Lux is the right place to celebrate in Lisboa.

Lamentable local, solicité un reservado por mail hace 3 meses, no hacían reservas, no hay zona vip, quise asegurarme que no tendríamos problemas de celebrar mis 10 amigos y yo una buena noche en un local adecuado. A pesar de la malas reseñas de mucha gente decidimos ir pues hacia años lo pasamos bien y por
recordar..., al llegar, los matones de la puerta más de otra época, nos dijeron que si no teníamos invitación costaba 240€/persona. Vergonzoso, de garito chungo de otra época, tercermundista. No volveré, la discriminación mafiosa en la puerta, además de ridícula no se corresponde a éstos tiempos, al menos podrían tener un poco de educación. Es lo mínimo a la hora de tratar con público, pero hasta que lleguen a mínimo les queda mucho camino que recorrer.

I came with three athlete friends from the United States tonight and they wouldn't let us in (groups of 3, 5, and 7 respectively behind me) without a 240 Euro cover. My friends got in 45 minutes later for 12 euros and so did the friends of The people behind me. Loved Lisbon before visiting this club. Avoid at all costs despite what friends say. Worst run business the 10 of us have seen in 4 days in Portugal. Significantly worsened all of our perceptions of Lisbon and Portugal.

My favourite club in Lisbon with a great view from its balconies. Great to look at the Sun rising! Make sure you keep yourself hydrated and keep in mind that you’ll spend a lot of money in water. I think they should offer tap water to their customers.
Funny enough the drinks are reasonably priced apart from water bottles.
Anyway, it’s a great place, beautiful and make sure you’re not part of a big group and watch out for what time you get there otherwise getting in may get very hard if not impossible.

Una de las peores discotecas en las que he estado, ya con un simple vistazo a la entrada ves que te va a decepcionar. 12€ la entrada sin copa. Las copas malísimas y a 9€ y encima si la pides con redbull le pagas y se quedan la mitad del mismo. La gente super drogada.
Lo mejor hay arco detector de metales. Muy necesario.

Péssima experiência. Sou de Leiria fui para passar uma noite divertida em Lisboa e chego à entrada e o segurança diz que não posso entrar, mas no entanto as pessoas atrás de mim já podem..... peço desculpa não tenho o fator C. É triste mas é a realidade das discotecas de Lisboa. NUNCA MAIS!

Unfortunately cannot rank as zero.
Extremely questionable door policy and that's putting it politely.
Others have commented on the attitudes of the bouncers and the tactics re extortionate cover charges.
The reviews are accurate.
Also witnessed other none white folks being ejected from the queue before even reaching the door.
I guess 'the look' of the clientele wasn't acceptable.
It's a shame these seemingly racist attitudes persist in these places. It won't tarnish my experience of Lisbon overall as I had already read about what to expect with Lux club. More, a social experiment and to see for myself.
Everywhere else I've been in Lisbon has been superb.

A joke of a club. If they don't like your face they say it's €240 minimum spend. Funny; the night before it was €12 with €8 worth of drink vouchers. Racist, ignorant idiots.

Worst place ever! Tried to rip me off by telling me the cover was 240 euro when I refused to pay they kicked me out of line. They think Americans are stupid..

N'y allez pas. S'ils ne veulent pas de vous, ils vous disent que l'entrée coûte 240€. Ils ne peuvent pas vous refouler mais peuvent vous faire payer. Et ils n'aiment pas les Français.

Very bad experience, and full of men, there are nuch better places to spend your money,,, go to another club!
