We just finished a Lisbon explorer guided trip through Lisbon with Daniel. We spent the first half of the day in Alfama and the 2nd half in Chiado and some of downtown Lisbon. Daniel was great and very quirky. He had strong opinions on Portuguese history and wasn't afraid to speak his mind. A really nice guy who even bought us each a pastes de nata and shared a cool beer! Just a word of advice: We didn't get a good sense of Portuguese history, maybe because there are so many backs and foetus. So go ahead and ask for Daniel but do get him to give you a clear time line of what happened when. My only regret...in our hurry to get into the uber, we forgot to show him our appreciation. Am sorry Daniel.

Daniel is very knowledgeable. A 4 hour history lesson. Lots to digest. Did not see much but learned a lot. Could have used a more coherent story line with a reference sheet to keep track.

One of the best walking tours I've ever taken. Our guide, Professor Pablo was incredible. His knowledge of Portugal and its Jewish history opened up my eyes to the areas long, tortured past. The walk around the Jewish quarters was fascinating....getting to see so many areas of the city a very reasonable pace. The tour was suppose to last 3-3 /12 hours but Pablo gave us 4 hours. A true gem.

The tour with Paolo was exceptional. He has a wealth of information related to Jewish history in Portugal and the country overall and shares it wholeheartedly in a very accessible way. The day we spent with him in Lisbon was a highlight of a wonderful visit to Portugal. Davide, who assisted with registration and provided other tips for our visit was so helpful and made communication quite seamless. Highly recommend this tour!

This was perhaps the best tour, Jewish or otherwise, we have ever had. Paolo's knowledge was exhaustive, his communication warm, personal and effective, and we have recommended him already countless times to friends who are planning to travel to Lisbon. We learned so much but importantly, we also very much enjoyed the tour. I am looking forward to reading his books!

Our guide Daniel was great and showed us so much of Lisbon that we never would have otherwise seen. If you want some history with your custard tarts and port, I’d highly recommend these guys.

Wrote an average review on Trip Advisor re our guide Daniel for the Jewish Lisbon tour. Manager wrote me a personal e-mail asking me to withdraw my review in exchange for a refund. Makes me question all the rave reviews they have received. I responded to him quoting all the things promised on the website that were not delivered. He then wrote a condescending response to my review on trip advisor. Who needs this hassle? I do not recommend this organization.

We were on the Jewish Tour with Paolo and this was an amazing tour with such a knowledgeable guide. Paolo was able to turn a very rainy day into one of our best in Lisbon. Wish there was a higher rating than 5!

Check out all the reviews on TripAdvisor. These are private tours for travelers who are intelligent and don't want huge groups, or standard boring tours. The guides speak excellent English, they are lively and have academic qualifications. It's like spending time with a friend who knows their city inside and out.
