The only bad part of our bike ride across Portugal - and I would have saved myself the trouble if I had just noticed how many fewer stars this place gets than others. Have a better trip than me, and use someone else. BikeIberia and their owner, Tania, messed up our bike delivery - and when we were left with no bikes to use, didn't offer to redeliver nor a refund! We changed our plans to drive to their shop five hours away to save our trip plans, but the service continued to be awful and we just didn't learn. I've noticed they write snarky and rude replies to others who had an experience like we did, so I am not naive enough to think they won't do the same here. My hope is that all those reading will save themselves the frustration and go with a better company, like Go Cycling Portugal or Lisbon Bike Rentals (the reviews don't lie). Everyone else in Portugal was wonderful, this was the only blemish.

I highly recommend this rental company. We reserved our bikes the day before so they were ready for us when we arrived the next day. The friendly staff provided us with sturdy locks and a repair kit. Biking to Belem along the coast was perfect.

We rented bikes to take the route all along the river. The service was good and the bikes were comfortable. They give yo a bike lock and repair kit extra , which is nice. Would reccomend.

I rented an electric bike to cycle from Porto to Lisbon. It was a very nice experience. They dropped the bike off in good time and I dropped it back to the Lisbon hub. The staff I met there were pleasant and chatty asking all about how I got on.. I dropped a star because I think you should give a spare key for the bicycle lock . At one stage I thought I had lost my key ( I hadn't; it was in the lock in my panniers) and it brought home to me how much this would have impacted on my trip. Also, while little things are obvious to an experienced cyclist some more detail would help., eg a diagram of the battery charging connections, is there a pump holder or does it just go in the panniers? Is there a charging port for phone etc off the battery. Still thanks for everything and I'd use the service again.

Vélo en état sans être tip top mais sans être pourri non plus. Les pneus sont slicks et sous gonflés. Attention, c'est 10 euros la crevaison.
Sinon le prix des vélos électriques est un peu abusé. Les prix sont affichés au public pour une heure ou 4h ou à la journée mais on peut quand même louer pour 2 ou 3h en fonction d'une tarification cachée.

I rented a bike for a week to bike 300+ km on the Camino de Santiago. The bike worked well, it shipped for free straight to my hotel, and it was well-tuned when I received it. Thankfully, I didn’t have to make any repairs, just changed the back brake pads on the last morning though it wasn’t totally necessary, just for my own peace of mind.
I especially appreciate that they included a multitude of additional items upon requested, and they did that for free. Gel bike seat cover, additional tire lever/tire iron, replacement derailers, spokes, spoke wrench, cables, brake pads all included for free. Basically make any reasonable request, and they will try to help you out.
On the last day, the chain did start to squeak, which is normal when you bike through a downpour for hours. If you ride through rain and puddles and mud, there will be squeaking etc. The bike made no abnormal sounds for the first five days.
The trip went about as perfectly as I could have hoped due to receiving good equipment from bikeiberia.
I feel like the defensiveness of the replies to negative reviews makes them look worse, and it is unnecessary for them to behave in this way. The truth is they are friendly when you are actually renting from them.

My daughter and I took a tour along the waterfront to Belem. Our guide was fantastic and the bikes were great. We chose to keep them for the day and stay in Belem a bit after the tour was over. Will definitely be renting bikes from bikeiberia the next time we're in Lisbon!

Friendly service and great location as a launching point for Belem and the riverside. The GIRA city bike app wasn't working for me and it didnt give me the freedom that the 4 hour hire gave me from Bike Iberia. I had a great time on the Euro10 Giant City Bike but you will need something lighter if you want to tackle hills. Recommend.

Just reply to your comment - Ah no, we weren't trying to skip the line, there was only 1 customer before us, so we waited for the service by filling in the form. Meantime, there was a new walk-in customer and the staff attended them even when we finished with the form and we waited for a long time and nobody attend us, the staff mention that you were closing in 2-3 hrs and that we have to return the bike by then but we were in there for already 20-30 mins just waiting.. so we walked out - didn't run i cant be more sure of that because one of us was walking with a walking sticking from a hurt foot..... however we're sorry for taking a piece of A4 form - I filled in all my information, passport detail, credit card detail so I mistakenly thought it was mine to take.
Call us disrecpectful is ok i guess since we only waited quietly, didnt say a word to anyone, didnt even make a noise or a mess while the staff never say please wait, never smile.. i thought since nobody pay attention to us its ok to just leave without saying goodbye.

Prices are absolutely bananas and non negotiable. Bikes are mediocre at best and has little functionality even at 45 euros for four hours. Down by the harbor their renting the same bikes for 10 euro. If you want a good bike I suggest you go somewhere else. And, the service is bad. (Edit: I understand that the owner sees the question about quality, prices and customer value in another way as the customer, but calling my review fake is just about a solid proof of bad customer service)

Lisboa seems not to be a bike paradise, but still I paid 25 Euro for a very old cheap standard bike. The other options were even much more expensive (45€ for a roadbike). It worked (2 stars for that), but with completely bald tires and the announcement to pay 10€ when I come back with a flat tire! Asking if I could have a bike with less bald tires I was told that that doesn’t increase the probability of getting a flat tire (I should mention I was wearing a Cycology T-Shirt identifying me as a bike-nerd to some extend). Not necessary the shop I would recommend if you have more options.

Really lovely and friendly people there! I bought their bikemap to find my way around Lisbon, commuting on my bike. They where also really helpful giving me tips for cycling around the city, about things to avoid and for daytrips close by.

Wir hatten einen Platten an einem Fahrrad und ich sollte für die Reparatur noch zahlen. Erst nachdem ich darauf bestanden habe, dass der Schaden schon vorher war hat ein Mitarbeiter das kontrolliert. Und so war es dann auch - schlecht geflickt/ Materialschäden.
Also Augen auf vor Fahrantritt!
Im übrigen ist Fahrradfahren in Lissabon keine gute Idee. Die Wege sind nicht schön.

Unique service to have high quality bikes across Portugal and Spain. We used their local store in Sintra in 2017 and were very satisfied (MTB and city e-bike). This August we have used their delivery and pick-up services for full suspension MTBs in Spain (Picos de Europa and Asturian coast). Bikes and equipment worked fine. Some logistics issues were sorted out very quickly and handled very generously by the Bikeiberia team. If you compare the total effort/cost to get similar equipment organised locally or ship your oen bike in a plane it is good value.

I rented a bike for a 22 day trip from Lisbon to Santiago de Compostela, all arranged online from Thailand. The bike was as arranged, with all necessary equipment. I had no mechanical problems, not even a puncture, largely due to the bike having Schwalbe Marathon tires, I suspect. The whole experience was problem free, including drop off in Santiago. I would recommend this company based on my experience.

- schlechter Service: Man bekommt ein Flickset und muss ggf seine Reifen selber flicken, andernfalls 10€ Gebühr.
Fazit: lieber meiden, wenn möglich

Rented bikes for 3 hours. It was a little overpriced at 15 euros for 3 hours, but still a fun day. We rode to Belem and back. The bikes were nice. The employees were all helpful and friendly. Easy in and out. Would recommend.

The bike tour was great. It was along the river and mostly flat the entire way, except for when we had to make a steep incline on an overpass to get across the street and back again. The guide was very fun and knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about Portugal on this tour. It was about 4 hours total and we made several stops, including Pastais de Belem. I can’t remember how many stops we made, but it was more than 10, so we were not on bikes very long before getting off to see a sight. The only difficult part was crossing the street on the overpass. I highly recommend this bike tour!!

€15 for a 3 gear budget bike or €25 for a better quality bike with 8 gears for one day. We got those at 1pm and they had to be returned at 6pm. Nice and easy ride from Lisbon to Belem and further, entirely along the river along cycle tracks. You should reserve the bikes a day in advance if possible.

We just finished a 5 day tour on their excellent Giant bike touring set up. Everything from start to finish was great. Good communication from the beginning, easy pick up, quality bikes and panniers, and easy drop off. Would highly recommend this company.

For the fifth time my wife and I rented fully geared Giant MTB's from Bikeiberia for the Spanish Caminos. This year we did the Camino Francese with starting point Roncessvalles. The bike pickup and drop off work really well. So does the luggage transportation from pickup to drop off. The MTB's are top notch, no technical issues whatsoever.
No doubt about it, next time the bikes will be rented at Bikeberia also. Service is outstanding. Curt & Heidi

We pre-booked an e-bike tour to Sintra. While the booking includes everything you should need, the screen on our GPS unit froze, forcing us to use roaming data to use Google maps to get back. In addition, the chain on my partner's bike repeatedly came off. Due to this equipment failure, we could not complete the journey we had planned and had to walk the heavy bikes back. When we brought this issue up with the staff person upon our return, I was disappointed by his reaction. He saw the GPS unit's frozen screen and advised it was a new GPS unit. He also apologised but considering we had to incur our own expense by using Google maps on roaming data, I feel like a partial refund should have been offered.

Nas partes boas, o passeio é fantástico! As paisagens, os cheiros, etc.... mas esse foi o passeio que mais tive coisas para me preocupar.
Primeiramente a qualidade das bicicletas, de todas que ja aluguei para passeios essas foram as mais surradas. Durante a estrada a corrente caiu pelo menos umas 8 vezes, a bike ficava estalando ao pedalar e a bike em si tinha uma aparência de quem ja tinha sofrido bastante. Ja aluguei bicicletas na Suiça, no Canadá, na Holanda, e essa nao parecia uma bicicleta de um serviço sério...
Além disso o trajeto tem 2 trechos que achei bastante arriscados (principalmente de vc pretende fazer o caminho só como eu fiz) a saída em Sintra, muitas ruas MUITO inclinadas, tanto para subir quanto para descer, mesmo estando com uma bicicleta eletrica tive que descer da bike e andar com ela pq a chance de cair com a bike era muito grande. Especialmente no dia em que aluguei a bike estava chuviscando, eu nunca andaria por aquelas ruas se o gps nao estivesse indicando elas.
Mais para frente, já mais perto da chegada, temos uma via litorânea, de trafego relativamente intenso com fortes rajadas de vento, mais uma vez me senti em perigo de que uma rajada de vento me derrubasse ou jogasse em cima de algum carro.
Não aconselho essa viagem iniciantes.

Three of us rented MTB e-bikes from Bikeiberia and rode to Guincho Beach (part of that included a train ride to get to Cascais). The bikes were excellent, the advice from the staff was really helpful and it was simply a great way to spend the day.

We had a bike tour yesterday with Macedonia (mac) and would highly recommend the experience. We are fairly keen cyclists but were interested in a guided tour just to find out more about the Belem area and Portuguese history, and it was excellent. Mac was well-informed, interesting and extremely helpful (good English too! Any words he didn't know in answer to questions - eg secular tr from Portuguese - he could look up in seconds). He paced the tour to suit, and speeded up at the end to make sure we were back in time to catch our plane.
The only thing is - we wished we'd taken the tour earlier in the holiday, it was so good and would have given us better background/a good starting point. i would recommend taking it early in your break for that reason

Very nice way to visit lisbon. The ride is also for unexpierenced cyclist easy to do. Explanation of the guide was good and interesting. And with biking you have a wide range to visit monuments. I can advise it a a way to visit the town.

We rented 2 bikes at Bike-Iberia for a long trip from Madrid to Lisbon. This was overall a very positive experience. Staff at Bike-Iberia was very helpfull and friendly, bikes were super, even for the not allways smooth Spanish and Portuguese roads, bikes were delivered as agreed in due time with all expected tools, locks, panniers. We highly recommend Bike Iberia for your trips!

We rented two "Camino" MTBs for a two-week trip across Spain, and also arranged for luggage transfer to our destination hotel. Communication with BikeIberia prior to our trip was friendly and helpful. On arrival at our starting hotel the bikes were waiting for us, one Giant 29" and one Liv 27.5". The bikes performed well on the ride and gave us no problems, though the Liv did need some tweaks to the gear and brake adjustments. On arrival at our destination hotel two weeks later our luggage was ready and waiting for us, and the bikes were left for pick-up. Overall everything went efficiently & exactly as promised - I highly recommend BikeIberia to anyone considering renting a bike for a multi-day trip in Spain & Portugal.

Though I usually will not give a negative review, I feel obligated to do so regarding Bike Iberia. I rented a bike to ride the Camino Portuguese for May, 2018, picking up the bike and starting in Lisbon. The personnel were gracious, well informed, and the minimum rental of three weeks for this trip was very well priced. However, several days into the trip, I began having issues with the gears. They were slipping, and the thumb shifters were extremely difficult to press to shift. I emailed bike Iberia as I was two days away from Porto, if they could please have a bike to swap in Porto. The response in general from Tania, was that I must have dropped the bike (I did not), that I do not know how to shift properly, and that they needed five days lead time to make a bike available. I essentially would have had to tell them in Lisbon to resupply me with a bike in Porto. Several days later I got a follow up email from Tania at Bike Iberia asking the status. I told her that the gears had continued to decline, the chain continues to drop off, I couldn't use the front sprockets, and I had @4 gears on the rear. In order to be in the lowest gear on a steep uphill, I had to take one hand from the handle bar and hold down the shifter the entire way. I arrived in Santiago on May 19 and emailed to pick up the bikes (my sister also rented and her gears also deteriorated). With in 48 hours the bikes were picked up. As a result of the poor state of the gears and shifters over the course of the 14 day camino, I sustained major nerve damage to my right hand from the shifter, and two weeks out, I still have limited use of my right hand. The bikes we received were in poor condition, the paint was chipped as they clearly had many miles on them, they were not tuned or well maintained prior to us receiving them. They may provide good service and bikes to in-town and short rentals, but you are on your own if anything goes amiss on a longer haul. I strongly suggest renting from any other rental company for the caminos. (We cycled with a woman who rented from another company and her bike functioned flawlessly).

Se você tem tempo e disposição para pedalar pela ciclovia, recomendo muito alugar uma bicicleta aqui. O trajeto daqui até Belém dá cerca de meia hora de um passeio muito bonito e plano (para quem não gosta de sofrer com subidas).
Caso você seja estrangeiro, eles podem pedir para ficar com o seu passaporte como garantia.

I called them last minute on a Saturday morning to get a road bike for a 6 day cycling trip. They were able to obtain one around 4pm and held it for me.
The bike was a newer Giant Tcr I believe and it held up fine for 500 or so miles. They gave me everything I needed to get this ride done and did it with a smile. The owner is knowledgeable, the manager and Erik are both able to get you fixed up quickly and out the door. They also held my bag for like a week and we're willing to be flexible on stuff like that. I'd recommend them to a friend every time.

-refuse credit card paiement and ask your credit car number (including safety code!) if you dont want to let a deposit! (They dont care if you are robbery insured with paiement made by your credit card)
I entered inside and asked for one bike properly working (I tried one outside not really good). While busy filling the paper, he brought me the same and told me "this is normal if you want there are the mountain bikes" -->5€ more (at first they were only available for day renting...)

The best way to get to Belem! Staff here were very helpful and took the time to offer directions and suggestions. We ended up renting the standard bikes and had a great time. They didn’t pressure us to book the tour or buy upgrade our bikes. Definitely recommend this rental spot!

Plutot une bonne experience. Cette enseigne possède des equipements pour bébés: des petites "charrette" idéale pour pédaler le long du fleuve (Même si la piste cyclabe pourrait être mieux entretenue). Nous avons pu louer sans soucis sept vélos. Le seul bémol qui fait perdre une étoile est le prix qui me parait un peu élevé mais c'était le seul à proposer le matériel adapté.

We just turned up without booking and were able to hire 2 road bikes for a couple of hours to take the straightforward route along the river to Belem. Took some great pics and really enjoyed the ride. Great way to see Lisbon.

Loueur fondamentalement malhonnête qui vous prévient que le risque de crever est fort et vous demande, si ceci arrive, de rentrer en train, à votre charge, avec votre vélo jusqu'à son magasin. Il vous facture ensuite la réparation !!
Par ailleurs, vous devez payer la location en cash ...
Sur 12 vélos que nous avions loués, 3 crevaisons obligeant à rentrer à pied. Soit 6 kms à pousser son vélo ! En y regardant de plus près, les pneus des vélos loués sont très usagés. Les crevaisons étaient donc plus que prévisibles.
À éviter absolument ce loueur - Fuir
Aucun sens du client, aucun sens du service et approche malhonnête de la relation client. Si vous souhaitez une bonne expérience privilégiez un autre loueur et de surcroît qui prend les CB ce qui favorisera l'amélioration des pistes cyclable à Lisbonne

We rented bikes for a week while we visited Lisbon and used them every day to explore the city and its surroundings. Very efficient, helpful and friendly staff. Our bikes were ready and waiting when we arrived and were just right for urban riding. I will definitely rent from them again.

Wir sind zufällig daran vorbeigekommen und haben spontan zwei E-Bikes gemietet. Englischkenntnisse vorhanden.
Was uns sauer aufgestossen ist, dass die Bikeiberia die Kreditkarten Informationen zzgl. Prüfnummer notiert! Zusätzlich behielten sie den Ausweis ein was nicht erlaubt ist! Aufgepasst!
Mein Fahrrad war OK bis auf die Hinterradbremse die schlecht gebremst hat.
Im Nachhinein hätten wir es sein lassen müssen und einen anderen Vermieter gehen müssen.

We made a self guided trip through el Pais Basco, Bilbao - San Sebastián - Vitoria. The bikes were delivered to our hotel with ease and the service provided by Bikeiberia was a pleasure.
The bikes themselves were fit for the purpose and are well equipped for long distance rides. Definitely a recommendation!!

I step in the shop and rented a bike for one day.
Bikeiberia provided a solid bike, comfortable and with good gearing (7 gears, but tuned towards going uphill rather than speed), capable to handle the regular Lisbon's road (think of cobbles, asphalt, potholes, a bit of gravel, mix everything and anything bike unfriendly, see attached picture for an example of the bike path close to Cais do Sodré).
They also provided (read: sell, but for a very convenient price) a very useful map, with remarks about how car-busy or how steep are the various streets of Lisbon.
Very helpful to make Lisbon a more bikable city and to navigate your way, these informations are nearly impossible to be obtained from Gmaps or OpenStreetMap.

I hired a off-road touring bike and traveled the Caminho to Santiago over 9-10 days. The bike, a Giant Talon, served the purpose admirably. It's not an easy trail by bike, but the equipment was in good condition and could handle the worst of it. You will need to know how to fix punctures and have a basic understanding of disk brakes if you want to make the same journey, but the friendly staff will be sure to show you how. Highly recommend.

the bike trailer stroller suddenly broke off. i need to find another bike shop to repair in Belem .
the problem was finally to be the connector was not properly installed.
only good thing was the shop manager admit their fault and responsible for the 0.5 euro cost in buying the broken screw in belem
the bike map does not give much better information then website but it cost 3 euros

We rented bikes for a self guided trip from Porto to Lisbon. The bikes were delivered to our hotel in Porto and we returned them to the bikeiberia office in Lisbon. The communication for renting the bikes we needed was excellent, and the whole process was easy. The bikes were at the hotel and all set up, ready to tour, when we arrived at our hotel. The bikes were good and as described and included basic tools and a pump. We had a great time riding in Portugal and would definitely do it again. I would recommend bikeiberia to someone thinking of biking in Portugal.

Great staff, really professional and speak perfect english. The bikes were really good and really reasonably priced. They gave us directions to a beautiful route down the river to Belem tower - an absolute must while visiting Lisbon. Can't recommend highly enough!

Really nice outfit renting good, solid, reliable bikes. They gave me good advise about how to get to Belem from downtown Lisbon along the waterfront cycle path (which appears and disappears without notice by the way). The man there spoke great English, as does everyone as far as I can tell in Lisbon. Highly recommended.

Fietsen in slechte staat van onderhoud.
Borg wordt ingehouden als je een lekke band hebt....banden hebben bijna geen profiel.
En hoe je terug komt is jouw probleem...
Veel vaker fietsen gehuurd maar zoiets nooit eerder mee gemaakt.

Excellente situation ce qui permet d'emprunter immédiatement la piste cyclable vers Belém.
Personnel très sympa et surtout honnête. Il y avait eu une erreur de décompte en notre faveur. L'employé a traversé la place en courant pour nous rendre les sous..
Les vélos sont corrects et louables à des prix très modérés.

Pura e simplesmente negaram-se a sequer olhar para a minha bicicleta, e a resolver o problema que era apenas voltar a colocar uma corrente que se partiu. A senhora gerente deveria perceber que a solidariedade se pratica de muitas formas (sendo que obviamente queria pagar o serviços), e eu espero sinceramente que ela venha a sentir na pele de outro animal igual a ela que não basta apenas tentar ganhar o dinheiro do turismo. Felizmente existe uma loja de bicicletas ao lado (Biclas) que se disponibilizou para me ajudar. Uma loja com muito melhor aspeto, e com um gerente muito mais acessível. Boa sorte.

Für unseren Firmenausflug haben wir 10 Fahrräder und eine tour bei bikeiberia gebucht - ein voller Erfolg! Toller Service. Alle sprechen englisch und Fragen per Mail im Vorwege werden ratzfatz beantwortet. Wir hatten die Körpergrößen aller Teilnehmer vorher gemeldet und alle 10 Räder waren für uns vorbereitet ebenso wie Helme, Wasser und Fahrradkörbe. Die Räder waren in einwandfreiem Zustand. Die Führung war super informativ und wirklich lustig. Man merkt den Mitarbeitern von bikeiberia an, dass sie ihren Job sehr gern machen. Don't miss it when in Lisbon!

I was after a road bike to rent for a couple of days. The bike was good (not the lightest race machine but very good anyway) and the price was ok. Together with the bike I got a nice map and a lot of advice regarding traffic, transporting bikes on trains, terrain and routes. Thank you!

Excellent service. Our bicycles were delivered to our hotel in Sines with helmets, repair kit (which we did not have to use) and GPS. No adjustments were needed during our weeklong tour to Lagos where we left the bikes for pickup. We highly recommend BikeIberia and will use it again. Thank you for a great experience.

A Bike Iberia dispõe de um catálogo interessante de bicicletas, a preços justos. O atendimento é razoavelmente simpático.
Apesar de se tratar de uma loja voltada para turistas e clientes ocasionais a gestão e serviço revela seriedade e profissionalismo. Dispõem de um bom mapa (pago) da cidade de Lisboa para utilizadores de bicicleta.
A experiência foi muito agradável, estando a bicicleta em bom estado, revelando cuidado de manutenção.
Recomendo para quem quer alugar uma bicicleta citadina, em zona central de Lisboa (e próxima de transportes públicos).

Wir haben uns bei bikeiberia für einen Tag zwei 3-Gang Räder ausgeliehen, um am Fluss entlang nach Belem zu radeln. Dafür waren die Räder vollkommen ausreichend, wir waren mit den Rädern sehr zufrieden. Auch der Service und die Einweisung waren freundlich und kompetent. Die Lage von bikeiberia ist zentral, so dass man aus der Altstadt einfach und schnell hinlaufen kann. Ich kann den Shop nur weiterempfehlen!

Unhelpful: They wouldn't let me hire a bike. Their web site says they welcome Visa and Mastercard but doesn't make clear they only take Visa credit cards and not debit cards. Why? "Its our policy"
I tried offering a 500 euro deposit, in cash or on the debit card. But no, "this is our policy". So I couldn't hire a bike. OInstead I went round the corner to Lisbon Bike Rentals whose policy is "it is our intention to get people on a bike". Go there, Ricardo is fabulous.

Very nice service. They even let me take a bike to get back to hostel for my missing credit card. In meantime my wife's bike has been prepared and ready to go. Thanks a lot and greetings from Poland. Only one (-) was the price ~24 or 25 EUR per day.

Wir haben uns 2 Räder mit 3 Gangschaltung ausgeliehen. Tagesmiete im September 2016 pro Rad waren 14 Euro.
Es gibt auch Räder mit 7 Gängen zu einer höheren Tagesmiete. Für die Strecke am Tejo reichten uns 3 Gänge.
Die Räder waren alle von Giant.
Unsere waren gepflegt, aufgepumpt und in Ordnung. Ein Reparatur Kit bekommt man ebenfalls dazu.
Nettes Personal, welches uns nach dem Ziel gefragt hat und die Strecke auf der Karte erklärt hat.
Alles top und unkompliziert.

Schockierend schlecht! Es gibt sicher eine Alternative zu diesem Verleih, nutzet die! Wir wollten unsere Reifen aufpumpen, das ging zuvor in jedem Bikeshop, das geht überall und mit freundlichem lächeln. Hier nicht, wir sollen eine Pumpe kaufen hieß es. Danke für den schlechtesten Service.

Unprofessional service, each time we entered the store the staff were reluctant to assist us. The bike store forced us to leave our passport as security for the bikes, they would not accept my driver's licence. Upon my return, the store forgot to give me back my passport. Try somewhere else.

Rented a carbon road bike, great service was ready to pick up, once you come organised with shoes and pedals (like when u rent anywhere in europe)it was great. No problems, even had to leave my bag with all my stuff there for the 2 days as accommodation wouldn't let me keep the bike in my room, but there was no problem.
Would recommend these guys.

We just got back from a week in Lisbon, and whilst there hired a couple of bikes from BikeIberia. The service was amazing, very friendly and incredibly knowledgable about the various rides we could do. The bikes were good quality, checked, and a solid lock provided. We were up in Graca, so the hills were a challenge, but nothing major if you do a little prep work ;)
You also get a very nicely produced map made by BikeIberia, with lots of good tips and cycle ways marked, at a reduced amount...
The girl there was very chatty and cool, and had really good tips about Lisbon - hello to you and hope your shoulder gets better soon ;)
All in all, we would definitely recommendo this place - muilto bom :)

Was left feeling very dissapointed after using this service. I had hoped for a care free cycling trip and to rent from a recommended company but what we got was disaster.. this company is incapable of dealing with situations where customers report problems and seem to not care either. Everything was poor about this service and I would highly recommend that you use a different company.

My partner and I used this company to rent bikes from and we greatly regret using them for anything!
Their staff are extremely rude and ignorant and were most unhelpful throughout. The prices were very unfair considering we had issues with the bikes and they were of poor quality. But the worst of all is their customer care service. Once we had a problem they did nothing to help us and only made things more difficult. They should realise that they made a big mistake, hold their hands up to their wrongdoing and take appropriate steps to rectify.

Without doubt the worst company I've ever bought a service from. The quality of the rental equipment is terrible, the delivery of the service is poor, the customer service is non-existent and you might even find they fabricate stories that you didn't return key items of equipment and then extort money off you.
This company behave dishonestly and will ruin your holiday. Do not use them.

My friends and I had a very enjoyable cycle around Lisbon for a low price, we were able to explore parts of the city we hadn't seen before and had a very good time. The customer service was excellent, and the employees at BikeIberia were very understanding and helpful when one of my friends punctured his tire and was unable to return the bike to the shop in the allotted time we had paid for, they didn't charge us any extra despite using more of our allotted time We would definitely recommend the service to anyone else thinking about using it.

About the Comments, If you think the North of Lisbon are hilly, wait until you get to the Beira or the Mountains that Separate Alentejo from Algarve, try a Visit to Óbidos for example Of something near Lisbon...
Portugal On Bike in August is not Hard is very Hard, But yes It's the most Beautiful Country in Europe to make a Bike tour, or any kind of tour, it's has Very Beautiful Places to visit and Experience, from Coast to Mountain We got it All, Bring Lots of Sun Block and Time, you might want to stay a few more days :D
