Last year my dad and I joined Joana’s e-bike tour. This May my dad returned with my mum and joined the Seafood Tour. Varina shop vede přátelská a krásná dáma, která vám ráda pomůže a poradí, kam je dobré se vydat na výlet. Okolí poloostrova je skvělé prozkoumat na kole, já osobně doporučuji malebnou vesničku Fonte da Telha. A ke kolu si jednoznačn pujčte i přilbu. Obchod nemá pravidelnou otevírací dobu, proto je dobré kontaktovat majitelku ohledně pronájmu kol alespoň den předem. Kola jsou seřízená a dobře udržovaná.

The opening hours are incorrect, we visited the place at 1600h and they were closed. If you want to be sure to get a bike you probably need to make a reservation.. Thanks for nothing!

A VARINA é especial. Para além de ser um negócio 100% português, tem valores e um forte impacto social entre todos e na própria região. Desconhecia o conceito de turismo de base comunitária e acho lindo fazerem-se coisas destas no nosso país! Está no lugar certo, mas devia existir por todo o nosso Portugal. Go Varina❤️

Coolest bicycle rental in Trafaria located inside the ferry terminal. Bikes are lightweight, robust and well maintained. Joana the owner is super helpful and she will reveal you some places you probably won‘t find in your guidebook. A place I wouldn't have found without Joana for example is Cova do Vapor. A clear recommendation!!

The area around Trafaria is very beautiful and renting a bike at VARINAs is the best way of getting to know it. VARINA is a very nice shop with a very friedly owner and the bike I rented was well maintained. Just make sure you write her the day before coming to Trafaria as the shop doesn't have regular opening hours!

Enjoyed an amazing bike tour with Joanna. Complete with information about the locals, the importance of fishing in their history, time along the water, and an amazing dinner with a local family. The tour was interactive, informational, and a ton of fun!

A must-do local experience! Joana is a warm and welcoming guide with a true passion for what she does. She showed us the fishing villages and set up lunch with one of her neighbors. The food was delicious and the company was wonderful, too. It was one of the best seafood soups I have ever had, made my the wife of a fisherman!

Has an amazing day. Flavio was an excellent guide. The bikes were great and Joana responded to all questions by email or text very quickly. The tour was at a great pace that allowed us to see a lot of the villages and still not feel exhausted at the end. I highly recommend it.

Excellent tips for where to bike to. We really enjoyed Cova do Vapor which we would have never known about without the recommendation to go there from this shop. Highly recommend them as a bike option, but be sure to book ahead online as they do not have someone onsite during regular business hours. We learned this the hard way by showing up without making a reservation ahead, however we called the number on the door and were able to rent bikes about an hour later when someone was able to make it there for us.

Our two guides were very friendly, they took us around the city and in their villages. A lot of informations about the places and local peoples. They made us taste typical foods and drinks, this was a very nice journey !

Abbiamo trascorso una giornata fantastica grazie a Varina! Appena arrivati a Trafaria, Joana ci ha accolti nel suo negozio, ci ha aiutati a scegliere le biciclette più adatte alle nostre esigenze e ci ha dato tantissimi consigli sui luoghi da esplorare, ma soprattutto sui ristoranti locali migliori della zona! La giornata si è protratta più del previsto, ma Joana si è dimostrata disponibilissima ed è tornata in negozio a ritirare le biciclette di sera. Grazie per la meravigliosa giornata! Non vediamo l'ora di tornare!

Spent a wonderful day touring on cruiser bikes with the owner, Joana. It was a nice combination of biking paths and trails while learning about the local culture, stopping at cafe's, and chatting with people in the community.

Excellent place to rent a bike. Really lovely and friendly people are running this place. Totally recommended!!
