We visited Lisbon a fortnight ago and we were having a great time in Cheers until the security took exception to us for some reason. They attacked one of us without provocation and continued to viciously assault him until he was unconscious and had to go to hospital to be stitched up. They also followed us out of the bar intimidatingly so that we couldn’t call the police. Horrendous… and a real shame when all in all Lisbon is a great place to visit.

Great pub! We had a good time. They have a lot of different beers and other drinks. They have a pub/bar area and a dancing area aswell. There is also a karaoke machine that you can use with your friends

Me and my friends we expended a lot of time there is nice place and has a live music on the bar, and DJ from other side best days are in the weekend and they close at 04:00am ! A large beers cost mostly 5 euro ! And the DJ used to play a lot of old school music witch was really good to dance !

Pub no coração do Bairro Alto, um dos bairros mais agitados de Lisboa.
Muito típico irlandês e com excelente público. Sempre com um atendimento diferenciado e típico de um bom pub.
Sempre há uma música ao vivo, muita galera animada e muitas bebidas e cocktails de primeira qualidade. Eu sempre que posso, vou tomar uma Guinness nesse pub.

Small cramped place. We brought a large group after mailing in advance saying we wanted to do karaokee however the staff was more interested in singing them self and no system for a queue.. We moved on quickly.

Amazing place, Monday Wednesday and Friday Ruka is playing live guitar music, very charismatic! Beer: super Bock is very drinkable, but of course they have the classical Guiness. Super friendly staff! They were very happy when we returned :)

Dentre tantas coisas boas que encontrei pra fazer no Bairro alto, Baixa-Chiado, em Lisboa, o Cheers Irish Pub foi uma ótima opção. O atendimento é extremamente maravilhoso e os frequentadores são muito animados, simpáticos, etc. A música ao vivo, em especial, foi o que mais me animou pra ir lá e, quando ouvi mais, o Rock e o Indie se destacaram mais no estilo de música. Recomendo a todos passar lá.

Casa noturna badalada. Músicas para todos os gostos. Pessoal do bar e da copa muito atenciosos e queridos. Pessoas fumam na pista de dança e às vezes é desconfortável. Os seguranças são sérios e controlam bem a entrada e saída de pessoas. Os drinks são ótimos. Um ótimo lugar para curtir a nite em Lisboa.

Good place they even let my Mrs pour her drink and gave us a free birthday shot!, only let down is not so much Irish music although when we asked they did play some Irish tracks but can’t moan too much when your not in Ireland’s! Either way well worth a visit when in the area. Same prices as everywhere else in the local and much cleaner and a lot friendlier atmosphere...pop in!!!

Que bar mais incrível!!
Ontem vim a modos de arrasto e a convidativa musica ao vivo fez me logo sentir em casa. Referir que o volume está naquele nível perfeito que me permite cantar e manter conversa.
Os funcionários são impecáveis, super atenciosos e excelente serviço.
Decoração fixe!
Notar que tem um espaço para disco também, não cheguei a ir dar o pezinho de dança pelo que terei de certamente voltar.

I held my birthday party here and it was one of the best nights!!! We had some drinks (the Sex on the Beach cocktail was amazing!!) and we sung karaoke! It was incredible. I will definitely and absolutely be back! 5star pub & evening!

Visited twice, both times they had some live music session going on and it was half full. If you don't mind the mostly pop song repertoire, it is definitely not a bad place to spend the night in the Bairro Alto

I had the best time there. Fun fact, when you walk by the street, you'll see a big sign with the name of the pub. As soon as you enter, you'll think that that's not an Irish Pub. Just walk a little to the left and you'll find a door that takes you to heaven! Beautiful service, great live music, awesome atmosphere!

À éviter, grave danger pour votre vie. Si votre santé vous tient à cœur, lisez la suite. En bref, c'est un endroit où la sécurité apparemment fait partie d'un club des arts martiaux extrêmement violent et ils tapent des touristes pour leur plaisir, en tout impunité. Ils ont une collection d'articles de combat et les "testent" contre les têtes des touristes. Le personnel de sécurité joue "fight club" (édition sans consentement ni avertissement) avec des touristes. Et les gérants et tout le personnel de sécurité devraient être en prison, lisez les autres reviews. Quand on était là, le sang des plusieurs touristes coulait dans la rue, c'est à vomir cet endroit. La police est venue mais je ne comprends pas comment ils peuvent continuer, si on lit les autres rapports.

Worst pub I've ever been to.. I was having fun dancing with two friends until the security told us to leave. While leaving two of us three have been punched by security until they were bleeding.. I would not recommend anyone to go there it is so painful!

Dont go here! This is one of the most horrible and unsafe places in Bairro Alto. On Saturday 7 September, I witnessed the security staff brutally attack people in front of the pub and called in organised reinforcement because the police had been called.
The situation started with the security staff slapping 1 man in the face without the man having done anything wrong. After 2 minutes, they punched his friend in the stomach to such an extent the guy collapsed and couldn't breathe. Requesting the bouncers to call an ambulance for the guy as he needed it, one bouncer yelled with a smug smile on his face -youre a foreigner, you call them-. So I did.
While I was on the phone with the ambulance and police, the bouncers were staring at me, hearing me describe what had happened and subsequently they called someone. 5 minutes later 4 massive men showed up, 1 started trying to get 1 of the guys to collapse beating his knees with a baton. One other put on a glove on one hand -to protect against DNA? With additional iron in it?- and beat more. One man seeing the scene tried to interfere by standing in between them, who was subsequently beaten as well by the guy with the strange glove. His girfriend tried to interfere by standing in between them, who was beaten in the neck and had a nervous breakdown.
The 4 additional guys had not spotted me on the phone with the police, at this point they did and came towards me so I had to run off, before the police coming and being able to make a full statement there.
None of the people who were beaten were badly behaved, drunk, or otherwise. There were plenty of witnesses, but they were all intimidated to leaving before police showed up.
In short, the security is violent without it being for security purposes and have organised reinforcement to try and prevent the police from being called.

Cool place. However, a couple of weeks ago I saw the security staff beated up two costumers for apparently no reason. The use of violence was extreme and unnecessary. It went to far. It was more than 5 security guys against one person, and later against two when the friend of the one being beaten joined to defend his friend. Clearly, not only the security guys outnumbered the costumers, but also they had an advantage regarding their body type.
After beating up the 2 young men, the secuty staff chased them for I don't kniw how long as if they were a couple of criminal.
It is such an ashamed that happened because it is really a good place. If they guys did something wrong, it couls have been handled a different way. I am pretty sure those guys ended up in a hospital for no reason.

Door staff ripping people off.. go to the door they’ll ask you for 5€ to get in with that you get a drink with a ticket. The door staff are basically pocketing the cash and not handing out the drinks tickets. I’d like to say it’s good when you go in but it’s really not... avoid

Pontos fracos: Os homens pagarem uma entrada no valor de 5€; preços das bebidas consideravelmente mais elevados que outros bares em Lisboa; um Irish Pub onde passam música que em nada está relacionado com este tipo de bares, já não é um bom começo; a arrogância, a má educação, o racismo, o preconceito e o palavreado para com os clientes é absolutamente condenável e inclusive deveria ir às autoridades competentes para análise; os funcionários (nomeadamente um com uma barba grande e com uma idade mais avançada) foi extremamente indelicado com três amigas minhas, proferindo frases como "loira burra", "eu gosto é de c***", "os italianos são todos paneleiros", enfim, uma conversa que começou como se de nada se tratasse, rapidamente escalou para níveis deplorável e condenáveis. Só o avalio com uma classificação de 1, porque o 0 não está disponível.
Sugestão: ajudem a denunciar locais destes que só denigrem a nossa cidade e o nosso País.

Een heel gezellige pub! Als je van bier houdt, als je van Engelsen en van Ieren houdt kun je hier zeker goed vertoeven! Voor een "pint" Sagres betaal je hier wel 5 euro, terwijl dat op sommige andere plekken aanzienlijk minder kan zijn. Hier kan je voetbal kijken wanneer er belangrijke wedstrijden op tv zijn. Er hangt hier een heel gezellige sfeer door de vele "zuipende" Engelsen die heel gezellig zijn.

Un accueil très chaleureux. On ne vous considère pas comme un touriste même si vous en êtes un. Le personnel est vraiment aux petits soins. Nous avons eu de belles attentions de leur part, un petit mot gentil en milieu de soirée pour savoir si tout se passait bien. Fui algumas vezes e o preço caro já restringe os frequentadores. A pista de dança é pequena, assim como o bar interior. Uma amiga teve o casaco levado e ainda foi impedida de sair pelo segurança da casa que a acusou de furto quando, na verdade, ela era vítima.

Fajne miejsce ale trochę drogo jak na tą dzielnicę. W środku można obejrzeć mecz, leci muzyka. Piwo koncernowe, nic nadzwyczajnego.
