Made a mistake when I was booking for my accommodation in Lisbon, originally I planned to find a place in the city, but somehow ended up in Sintra. However, staying at Casa Azul was definitely a lovely experience. The hostel is really great for travelers - conveniently located, clean and homely environment, really welcoming and helpful staffs.
Sintra was my last stop solo-ing around Mediterranean countries and Casa Azul surely made it awesome.

친절한 안토니오 아저씨 완벽한 아침식사,깨끗한 침구,
2박3일 동안 다인실,더블룸 둘다 써 봤는데 정말 깨끗하고
편히 쉴 수 있었습니다. 두 분이시면 꼭 더블룸 예약하세요.
더블룸 놓쳐서 다인실 사용 후 다음날 지냈는데 시내 전망과 테라스 뷰가 좋아서 돈이 아깝지 않았습니다!!!

It was a perfect hostel !!! The clean bedrooms and the perfect breakfast served us well and the friendly Antonio was able to help us to travel to Sintra which is convenient for us and if we come back to Sintra we will return to the hostel with Antonio.

La habitación que cogimos era preciosa con una terracita muy coqueta.
Los anfitriones son super amables y te ayudan en todo lo que pueden. Nos sirvieron un desayuno completísimo y la limpieza excepcional. Recomendamos 100% este lugar si vas a visitar Sintra.

Heeeeerlijk ontbijt, heel lief personeel, top bedden en super fijne sfeer. Voelt echt als thuis. Alleen beetje weinig douches, maar is een klein hostel dus was oké.

It was our first time to stay on a hostel,at first we were hesitant and scared but now we like it because of the great experience we had at Casa Azul. Antonio was very accomodating,the hostel was amazing,the location is very accessible close to metro,restaurants and to the tourist spots if you in Sintra.We love this place!

Nous avons vécu le pire moment durant notre mois de voyage au Portugal. Le monsieur de la réception nous a très mal accueilli. Ma collègue de travail avait fait cette réservation sur Booking pour nous et avait oublié d'ajouter nos noms. À l'accueil, le monsieur a porté un discours moralisateur envers ma collègue qui s'était trompé dans les noms. Le monsieur nous a demandé la pièce d'identité de ma collègue alors elle nous m'a envoyé par photo. Puis lui a demandé de modifier la réservation et mettre mon nom ( ce que je trouve normal aussi). Elle l'a fait. Il n'a pas cessé de dire ' c'est pas compliqué de faire une réservation comme il faut quand même' . Il nous a assez mal parlé et a fini par nous menacer d'annuler la réservation. Du coup nous sommes partis. Ça fait un mois que nous voyageons et changeons de ville tous les jours. C'est la première fois que quelqu'un se permet de nous parler aussi mal , sur un ton enfantilisant. On ne peut pas juger l'auberge en soit. Juste l'accueil. Et rien que pour ça je ne recommande pas d'aller chez une personne qui passe ses nerfs sur ses clients.

Excelencia es poco para describir la buena onda del guest house Antonio. Desayuno casero, buenas duchas, muy buena ubicación y buenas almohadas. Os recomiendo ampliamente alojarse en casa azul.

Tout était parfait , l’accueuil Du propriétaire Antonio, la proximité de toutes les activités, là qualités des installation. La chambre double superbe avec un petit balcon, propreté immaculé. Le petit déjeuner plus que suffisant .nous recommandons sans hésitation . Nous nous sommes sentis comme dans la famille

Muy buen sitio para alojarse: está en la ciudad de Sintra y tienes Transporte público para llegar a los monumentos turísticos, es un hostal limpio, con excelentes vistas del castillo y del palacio de Pena, el gerente es muy simpático y te hace sentir como en casa.

Everything was amazing! The host was so friendly and warm, it was good to talk. The hostel are in a really good place, it's easy to reach everything you need. The room was clean, maybe the bed was too soft and a bit noisy from the street, but beside these small things everything worth the price!

Despues de preguntar en más de diez sitios, desesperanzados porque en todos los sitios de Sintra nos clavaban más de 60€ por una habitación pequeña sin baño, llegamos aquí.
Un ambiente totalmente familiar, una relación calidad precio increible, y lo mejor de todo, Antonio el encargado, superatento ayudando siempre en todo y alegrandote los dias con su felicidad contagiosa. Si vuelvo me quedaré en el mismo sitio sin duda.

Antonio, der Gastgeber, ist sehr darum bemüht, den Aufenthalt aller Gäste so perfekt wie möglich zu gestalten! Er serviert wunderbares Frühstück, hält die Unterkunft blitzsauber und hat immer ein offenes Ohr.
Wir können das Casa Azul nur weiterempfehlen!

Spectacular hostel. Antonio is incredibly nice & very helpful. He keeps the place sparkling clean and puts on an excellent, beautifully presented breakfast. Beds comfy. Highly recommend.

If you’re staying anywhere other than this hostel while you’re in Sintra, you’re making a mistake. This hostel was sparkling clean, small and cozy, and had an absolutely amazing manager and breakfast.

Good location 5 min walk to bus / train station. Accomodations are clean and free breakfast provided. The friendly owner Antonio speaks English and helps out in anyway he can.

Muy buena ubicación, a 10 minutos del centro de Sintra y a 5 de la estación. Muy limpio todo. La terraza es estupenda. Antonio, el anfitrion, es excepcional, atento, amable, además prepara unos desayunos que no le falta de nada.

Recommended to me by a friend... One of the best hostels I've stayed in yet. Comfortable, homey and clean. Easy to get to the train station and VERY helpful owner who is always around. Definitely would recommend to others!

Amazing!! My first hostel experience couldn't have been better. Very very clean and tidy, it is a small cozy hostel, António is the greatest host, plus it is a 5 minutes walk from the Historical city center. Warm and comfy bed, great breakfast. I highly recommend this place!!

The best hostel I have ever been. Antonio will help with any issue you might have, the most hospitable host I have ever met. It seems that even people who were staying there were better than in other places :) I'm so glad I didn't chose Moonhill Hostel, I don't like overcrowded and noisy places. Booked directly, just wrote to Antonio. Very clean and comfortable bed linen and bathroom, it is the major criteria when I chose hotel. Towel is included in the price (unlike other places), breakfast too. Hair dryer free of charge. Will definitely recommend it to others!

Centrale e comodo per visitare le principali attrazioni di Sintra. La signora è super disponibile e professionale, ci ha pure aiutate a trovare un'altra sistemazione quando abbiamo deciso di fermarci una notte in più. La camerata è pulita e ordinata, così come anche la sala in comune (seppur un po' piccola!). Unica piccola pecca, il bagno molto piccolo con una sola doccia.

Das Hostel wird von einem sehr netten Mann (Antonio) bedient, der uns freundlich empfangen hat und auch alles erzählt hat. Hatte für uns auch Tipps für unser Mietauto bzgl. kostenloses parken.
Frühstück ist fein, sehr liebevoll vorbereitet.
Das Hostel selbst ist sehr rein, etwas laut ist der Chinese unten drunter (Restaurant), was aber um 23 Uhr schließt.
Für 1-2 Nächte super!

Hermoso y pequeño hostel. El dueño es la persona más amable del mundo. Te charla, te ayuda, te busca lo que necesites y te orienta en qué hacer. El lugar está muy bien decorado y cuidado.
El desayuno tiene de todo, es bien completo. Si van con auto se puede estacionar sobre la misma calle o a la vueltita.

hemos realizado un viaje de sur a norte en portugal y sin lugar a dudas el mejor hostal con muchisima diferencia .
100% limpio , la comida de gran calidad, la gente tanto del personal como los huespedes super amables y simpaticos y la mejor habitacion asi como el estado de la casa en general.
sin duda me quedare alli en caso de volver a portugal .

Antonio and Maria were so great and gave us a warm welcome. We felt like visiting friends. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was very good. You can reach the old town in about 15 minutes (walk). We would come again.

Absolutely lovely hostel that feels more like a guesthouse. The owners are very friendly, there is a delicious breakfast, the place is clean and the beds are comfortable. Although not in the centre of town, it is only a short pleasant walk to reach the old town.

Hostel limpio, acogedor, tranquilo, cómodo y a poca distancia a pie de los principales puntos turísticos de la localidad. El trato que ofrecen los dueños, Antonio y María, no puede ser más agradable.
