На этом обслуживание может закончится и Вы, поняв, что обслуживающему персоналу абсолютно безразлично, хотите ли Вы оставить там деньги или нет, встаните и уйдёте, так как это сделали мы.

Mieliśmy mały problem z miejscem, ponieważ to dosyć uczęszczane lokalizacja jednak warto było zapolować na wolny stolik. Napiliśmy się wina i zjedliśmy świetnego labraksa (sea bass) i pyszne risotto z owocami morza. Szczerze polecamy ponieważ dodatkiem do jedzenia jest wspaniały widok na morze

Went to the bar for a beer as i had never been there before and asked for a beer. The woman rudely said you dont come to the bar you will have to sit down and we will come to you, i thought okay thats fine. Until i sat down outside for 10 mintues and nobody came over to me so i just left.

Found this place last year and thought we'd return.
Ordered a chicken burger. Never experienced anything like this and hope never to ever again.
Glutanous mess of cheese over what was passed as chicken- two bland 1cm thick disks of flavourless, colourless,rubbery burgers.
View across the bay stunning which is why we're giving a star.

Das Essen, sowie die Drinks schmecken wirklich hervorragend! Die Gerichte sind keine „langweiligen“ Standardgerichte, sondern etwas kreativer zusammengestellt.
Außerdem gibt es eine kleine Theke mit frischem Fisch und eine große Auswahl an gutem Wein!
Wir kommen gerne wieder und lassen es uns bei dem schönen Ambiente und tollem Ausblick schmecken!

Restruant was in a spectaculat place on the edge of a 100 foot cliff to the beautiful beach in Lagos. Wait service was not good. Beer and wine were cold and good and ok prices.

Superb view of the long white beach sweeping over to Portimão. Lunch menu was reassuringly limited to a few quality options. Burger was nicely presented, well cooked and served quickly, although portion on the small side. Restaurant itself is well maintained with a nice ambience and clean bathrooms. Service was ok.

apre alle 10.00 di mattina e di solito faccio la prima colazione ... posizione stupenda, sopra il mare, con la vista su tutta Meia Praia, la Marina e in fondo il paese meraviglioso di Alvor ...
Amo il movimento delle barche che passano ...

Came here following a recommendation from our golf pro... Arrived at 6pm, the staff was having dinner together at the table in front of the kitchen. We waited, as to not disturb them, but they waved us in with a smile and gave us a table with our drinks ( white wine/port/2 bottles of sparkling water) following quickly.
Appetisers were Tuna Tartar and filled mushrooms, which tasted very nice.
My wife asked for the octopus with rice, I had the tagliatelle al fungi with truffle-oil. Both were tasty, although my wife expected more octopus in relation to the amount of rice. My tagliatelle was fine...
Desert was the banana with caramel and the lemon pie... Both these were amazing.
All in all, good food, very friendly service... Paid 67 euro, which we found very reasonable.

De locatie was op zich goed, maar is wat te hoog en vanaf de weg gekeken kan je het gebouw niet meteen zien. Het eten was niet slecht, alleen stelde de zalm mij wel zeer teleur omdat het te hard gekookt was en het moeilijk te eten was.

Very delicious food & great atmosphere. I had starter tuna tartar and for desert caramel fondant, both were very good. The fish here is fresh and delicious too. Highly recommended. ☺️ ☕️

Very nice fresh fish! You van choose from a variety of fresh fish. A staffmember brings the fish to your table and remove all the bones and puts the filets on your plate. Our little girl, thee years old, had a sea bass and ate more than half of it, she likes it very much. The salmon is also very good. Although the food is very good, it's a bit pricy.

Best beach restaurant in Lagos offering panoramic ocean views and fresh fish. Ignore the basic menu and ask for the catch of the day grilled to perfection. The dinner menu also offers fantastic starters showcasing the chef's talent.

Great food and really friendly staff. I highly recommend the fresh fish from the display. The soup was served a but cold and it took the food 30 minutes to arrive. Highly recommend if u are not in a rush.

The coctails are very nice but the service is absolutely terrible. The waiter wearing square glasses is the worst of the worst. He was rushing us to order as quick as possible, because the kitchen is FULL. It's a joke. Never again.

La comida estuvo buena pero tardo mucho. Lo peor de todo fue un camarero calvo con una cicatriz cerca del ojo con cara de amargado, super desagradable y un maleducado. Nos trato muy mal y no volveria a ir por culpa de ese camarero.

Accueil déplorable, on est parti sans avoir commandé. Sensation de déranger car on cherchait une place à l’ombre, le patron n’a pas apprécié quand j’ai voulu déplacer une table plus à l’ombre (pour nos enfants) . Aucun sens commercial, on est parti déjeuner ailleurs sans regret. Je ne juge pas la qualité de la nourriture mais uniquement le service !

We really likes our experience at this restaurant. Great view over the ocean and we really apreciated there being a parking lot right outside the restaurant! The service was good. The food was phenomenal, especially the tuna tartar! Recommend visiting this restaurant atleast once if you are in the Lagos area.

One of the best places to go in Portugal...not just Lagos. The view is spectacular. We started off with drinks outside (and they are cheap when you convert to $). Then decided to stay for dinner. Perfect choice. Sea food as well as the pasta dishes are great❤️ The dessert choices are perfect and very very tasty. And the staff... the best customer service ever in Portugal . Must go

Hopes weren't high because it's right by the beach with great views. I expected mediocre overpriced food, but in fact it was great. Went out of their way to adapt for vegetarians. Wouldn't say it was cheap, but certainly not out of line for a mid-priced lunch.

Rentaurante en un mirador privilegiado de la costa de Lagos con unas excelentes vistas. Los platos principales son de pescado aunque tiene unas buenas ensaladas y hamburguesas caseras. El precio corresponde con la calidad y el sitio donde está.

Located in Fortaleza da Ponta de Bandeira, cliffside with a beautiful overview of Lagos is MAR. We stumbled upon it walking from our AirBNB heading to city center. Based on the fact that it was fairly busy and people seemed to be smiling (or drunk, drunk smiling). We asked to sit on the terrace for the views. Only downside is that through most of Europe, smoking is a thing. Something we needed to get used to. Our next door tablemate though was a very friendly Italian from Calabria and also friends with the owner, offering suggestions on our meal choices, and when I was trying to decide whether or not I wanted a Sangria, she asked her server to pour me a glass of her pitcher. How kind!! Jason opted (or rather I Told him to) order the "green wine" which is something that you can only have in Portugal. The sangria was refreshing, but glad I did not order it. Not enough untzzz in my opinion. I actually liked the green wine.
Ordered: The fish pâte. Comes with two rolls. Tasty enough, but after a few bites it sort of reminds me of creamy tuna salad with a relish inside.
Risotto of the day with fresh seafood with a tomato base. The risotto was a bit on the heavy side and not very flavorful, but the fish inside was superb. Glad it came with a slice of lime. I limed the hell out of it. Haha. 4 mussels, small mussels. Tasty but would have liked more. The 2 shrimp came whole, and I enjoyed them. There was other shrimp (small little guys inside the risotto, along with some clams, I think?
Fish of the day: Came plentiful in size, but needed acid. The veggies were 2 pieces of broccoli, some biased slice carrots, and a few green beans. Whole baby potatoes. Served like my mom would put food on a plate.
Dessert to go: Almond pie and chocolate cake. Got home, and well, it satisfied my sweet tooth, barely. Certainly made fresh, like 3 or 4 days ago. Dry and disappointing.
The view and location are the sellers for me. And the people are hospitable.

Das Mar ist ein ausgezeichnetes Fischrestaurant, bei unserem letzen Besuch haben wir drei Abende hier verbracht. Der Service ist nett und hilfsbereit und die Auswahl an fangfrischem Fisch ist überzeugend.

Wenn man nur einen Kaffee trinkt kann man nicht wirklich dieses, oder überhaupt ein Restaurant bewerten. Das bewerten wir dann auch nicht, sondern nur den herrlichen Blick von dieser Stelle auf Lagos, div. unterhalb liegende Strände und sehr schöne Felsformationen. Wenn man den Weg über viele Treppen nicht scheut, kann bis hinunter zum Strand "Praia dos Estudantes" gelangen. Lohnt sich!

Service war sehr schlecht: wir haben ein Icetee Zitrone bestellt, haben ein aber ein glass mit frisch gepresste Zitrone, Zucker und eine kleine Flasche Wasser bekommen... danach Fisch bestellt in ein Teller war ein Haar der mit dem Fisch gebraten worden ist ( das Haar klebte an einem gebratenem Lachs Filet ) wo wir es gesagt haben der Kellner fragte uns ob wir das Haar selber dran geklebt haben... Aussicht super aber es lohnt sich nicht mehr dahin zu gehen!

Comida aceptable, los rissotos, no son risotto, es un simple arroz que no es lo mismo. La atención cuando se enteró el camarero que éramos españoles fue pésima, de hecho hasta nos montó un espectáculo delante de todo el mundo. Nada recomendable!!

Conhecia anteriormente pelas bebidas frescas ao fim da tarde, com uma paisagem de sonho. Desta vez fui jantar com amigos e adorei a comida, o vinho, o atendimento... E a paisagem claro. Voltei sozinha dias depois e a boa experiência repetiu se.

The service is a tad slow as they can get busy..but the food was on point! I ordered the surf and turf , the meat was tender and perfectly cooked as medium rare but the shrimp was small and overcooked..not so fresh...

Nous avons passé un excellent diner. Restaurant très agréable avec vue mer, le poisson est frais et succulent, le vin Portugais délicieux et les desserts plus que copieux. Tout cela n'aurait pas été possible sans notre serveur Joao qui parlait un français parfait !

Fifteen minutes waiting for someone to ask what we would like to have, two bartenders told us that they would come in a minute. Had to left the place without being attended. Also wanted to change table (sun had time to reach us above the umbrella) but they prioritized people arriving at that moment to the bar and left us under the sun.

Serviço super demorado, esquecem os pedidos, nao trazem o menu nem vão às mesas se os clientes nao forem chamar. Pedi um copo de agua para beber e me disseram que a agua da torneira de Lagos era suja e castanha. O que sei muito bem que nao é verdade. Quando estava em pé na fila para pagar (ja que nao levam a maquina do cartao na mesa) pedi um cafe e a gorçonete me serviu ali onde eu estava no bar. Entretanto o garçom que me serviu apareceu reclamando que eu nao podia beber o cafe ali que o lugar era apenas para serviço, sendo que eu nao podia sair ja que era a fila.. Quanto à comida pratos caros, sanduiches caros, e nada demais..

Attente vraiment longue, plus de 50 minutes avant d'être servi. Mais malgré l'attente, le plan est vraiment bon avec une très belle vue. Les prix des plats tournent entre 15 et 21 euros.

Das Essen war sehr lecker aber eine Wartezeit von 1.5h ist einfach zu viel. Und für die Preiskategorie hätte man sich warmes Essen gewünscht und Licht am Tisch. Es war bereits dunkel, als das Essen kam. Aber der Ausblick ist grandios.

Amazing sea view, wonderful wine and fresh seafood. You might expect this restaurant to be very expensive given the location/view but we paid 15eur for a bottle of wine and had two appetizers at 5 Eur each.

On s'est régalé à table et en plus leur mojito et leur piña colada sont exelents. Même s'il y a un peu de vent la vue de la terrasse est magnifique. Les serveurs très sympathique également. Les prix très raisonnables. On recommande.

Wunderbare Aussicht. Essen sehr gut, Preise günstig ( Filet vom Schwein 14,90€, Portugiesisches Rindersteak 16,90€, Service gut.
Wir mussten ca. 45 Min auf das Essen warten da die Mitarbeiter gemeinsam zu Abend essen. Vorher einen Tisch reservieren oder zeitig vor Ort sein (18:00 Uhr).
Gerne wieder :-)

This place is amazing! Olives, bread, Brie, Portuguese steak and mustard chicken were all delicious. Great food. Good service. Incredible views. Couldn’t ask for a better place to grab a bite to eat or wine and dine for a nice evening. We loved it.

Traumhafte Kulisse, ein Restaurant direkt vor der Küste. Dazu eine reichhaltige Speisekarte mit vielen Fischgerichten und Weinsorten. Es gibt auch eine Theke bei dem man den Fisch Kiloweise sich aussuchen kann und dieser dann frisch für einen zubereitet wird für einen fairen Preis (siehe Bild).
Alles in allem eine sehr leckere und saubere Lokalität mit netten und zuvorkommenden Personal und einer traumhaften Kulisse.

My wife and I wanted to eat here after a day at the beach and most of the outside tables with the view were empty and "reserved" so we asked this server guy working there (not so tall and in his fourties) if we could have a table since we wanted to eat and he told us that their staff is having dinner and that we would need to wait so he can check if there is a table available (place was 60% empty) and if said table was found we will probably have to wait 45 minutes+ for our food. Long story short we felt totally unwanted there and that the guy did not want us as clients. Very rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend. (Yesterday however I had some beers here and was served by a very polite female server so the bad experience might be exclusively related to this guy)

Чудесный вид, еда не плохая, обслуживание быстрое, все отлично говорят на английском. Единственно, очень удивило и огорчило, что пока ходили мыть руки с дочкой, к нам за стол подсадили пару немцев в возрасте, причём стульев изначально было три, естественно, мне по возвращении пришлось один ещё искать, при том, что заказ был на столе, понятно, что сидят два человека. Немка курила, на мои просьбы(на английском, на немецком) не курить не реагировала, пересесть было некуда.

The best thing about this place is the view. The worst thing (which is relative) is the timing of the service. I've been twice, the first, the waitress just seemed annoyed at everything (perhaps a long hot day will do that to anybody). The second time, our waiter was very nice, but that's not the issue. You have to wait FOREVER to be served. At least 15 minutes to get a menu, another 15 to order drinks (better order your food at the same time) and at least another 20 to get your food. That's not all, be prepared to wait 30 minutes after you've finished for them to decide to approach your table. And you better ask for your bill, because they won't give it until you ask. Payment? You'll have to wait. Sure, try it out, just plan ahead, remove 90 minutes from your day to come here. Don't be in a hurry, because you will be disappointed. This is a place to relax and enjoy the view.

One of the best restaurants in Lagos, slightly off the tourist path. Make reservations early if you want to sit outside, but I was just fine sitting outside with the breeze. Excellent service from Joao, who was attentive and extremely welcoming. I had the swordfish, which was cooked perfectly, accompanied with the green house wine! One of the best meals I've had on this trip, highly recommend it! Thanks, Joao and colleagues for a great dinner!

Staff get a 6star from me, so attentive and service oriented!
Food is of a level normally found at Michelin restaurant. Servings on the other hand are nothing like Michelin... They're massive!! Go with hunger leave in a food coama!

Just came back from a stonking meal here, best of our holiday!
We have booked to go back Thursday. The outside Bar will offer bar meals but the restaurant inside has a simple but superb menu.
I would recommend this place to anyone wanting good food

Bring your own lunch when coming here. The view is spectacular and its location is very good. But the food is not. Basic bar style menu with burgers, salads and sorts. Will fill your stomach, but not recommended.
