So another review from my tour of Marvila and I'm happy to report Capitao Leitao was the tour favourite of not only myself but my researching (drinking) companion. The bar is a small corner affair, with a light airy vibe, lots of white but with some nice quirky touches like the garishly spray painted speakers. When we entered to watch the second half of the Spain vs Portugal game there was a nice, super friendly, local crowd who soon engaged us in conversation and provided a nice welcome. There were a couple of craft been options on our visit, which for some reason I think rotate but although both were fine (we were offered a try before buy) I opted for a nice crisp Japanese lager I had never heard of before and whose name I can't remember but which hit the spot. Game over the music came on and was an impeccably chosen selection of wobbly disco and Balearic niceness and some of the best music I've heard in a bar in Lisbon so far. The reason for that being that the joint owner is a DJ, promoter and even has a small, impeccably chosen selection of vinyl for sale in the bar. Speaking of the owner and his partner both were super hosts and entertaining to chat to. After checking out a couple of other spots in Marvila we liked this place so much we came back for a night cap where we hit an obscure Pimms like long drink and a straight up, top quality rum that I had never heard of and also can't remember except for the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed it, a bit like the bar.

Lovely bar, great vibe and interesting vinyl for sale. Will definitely visit again when we're next in town...
