I had such an amazing time here! My first time surfing and it was awesome!!! I was a part of a group and had 5 lessons during which the instuctors shared some od their knowledge and tips. They were helping us in the water, giving us feedback and everyone was really taking great care of us! Everyone Is So nice And friendly, you feel like a part of the family I had an accident the last day and could not walk, so i was carried all the way from the beach! I think that Is the reason my broken bone was not dislocated almost at all. Thank uuu

leider können wir diese Surfschule gar nicht empfehlen. Unsere Töchter haben eine Schnupperstunde gebucht und nichts erfahren und nichts gelernt. Der Surflehrer war unmotiviert und passiv. Wir hatten eine Gruppenlektion gebucht, es waren aber nur unsere Töchter anwesend, deshalb verlangte er dann noch EUR 15.- mehr. Fazit: EUR 75 .- in den Sand gesetzt...

You are in Portugal for vacation and want to have a great experience and you are also nearby Guincho than you definitely should go to Moana Surf School and rent a board or ask for lessons with one of the mellow dudes out there. Amazing surf experience in Da Guincho beach for all my family (my wife + 3 childs from 6 to 10) ,thanks to Moana teachers and managers, all very nice, helpful with a strong knowledge of the site

We took a surf group lesson for a group of 5. We paid 30 euro per person (expensive when compared to other schools in Portugal) and it was not a great lesson. The teacher was not very enthusiastic and gave us only poor feedback.

Solid and fun place to go. We were asked to wait for an hour because they'd overbooked, and also calling it a "school" is probably pushing it a bit. Friendly staff, good gear and generally a laugh. Would recommend.

Great surf school and perfect for beginners and groups of friends. They will also take photos of you while you attempt to surf! A must for a holiday in Portugal.

Learned nothing. We were about 25 people. No tips from the coaches. Time and money wasting... We did another class in another school.

Kind of surf industry, it is not like 1 and half hour surfing but one half hour in the water and the rest outside. That seems logic after you notice there are 15 boards for 30 surfers ... The monitor forgot the priority rules in the security rules . The more dangerous at the end is not the ocean but the beginners... It is quite the pity! However the place is really nice and you can have a drink on the beach for the observation of Moana big mess!

Love this place. Staff great, friendly and helpful. Would recommend for anyone trying out surfing for the first time. It's very addictive.

We booked for a group, and everybody enjoyed the day. The flexibility and also the reliability of the pick up service made it exactly the offer we were looking for.

We had great first surfing class! The instructors and the whole team are super friendly and accommodating.

Nice experience. We had a rush at the beginning because of coordination of times on which for bad planning we lost almost two hours. But they apologized and.. what can I say, was just bad luck. The rest of the days it was great, they did sharp with the schedule. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful. I have enjoyed the experience, I really recommend it.

It was my first visit to Portugal and my first surfing lesson ever. This was Back in late June. It was a private session. I have had another lesson since which was very good as well at a U.S. surf school. Fransisco was an excellent teacher. Everyone was very professional. Clean suits and a nice shaded area to rinse off. I Highly recommend.

Alex and his team were super kind: the first day was too windy to surf, so we had to come back the following day and Alex offered to drive us from the station to the school. The surfing experience was fantastic, it was our first time but after many tries we were able to stand up on our board. We were followed with much accuracy by the instructors. Everyone here at Moana school took care of us and we want come back as soon as possible! Thank you

First of all: These guys are surfers, not logistics experts or workforce planning fanatics. They know waves, boards, the tide, and so on. Sometimes more people than expected show up for a beginners class and they try their best to handle it. The way we handled this was to book the day before and be clear about our expectations. That said, the instructors at Moana are great and awesome with kids. If you are reasonably fit they will teach you how to ride the waves and kids will have a great time.

Good location to surf with mediocre waves, but when you're not a local, it's difficult to understand what to do. I recommend going in a group. There is a photographer, who takes nice pictures, but you have to buy those pictures in a pack, which is pricy (around €40~$50).

Very good location an facilities but really very poor service for the individual customer. When crowded they do not service well if you are on your own or in a small group, as they are always hungry for big groups and invoices. No credit card. Very bad mood from the short blondie lady at the frontdesk.

This was a very disappointing experience. We stood around waiting for the lesson to start arriving promptly at the given start time. We went away and come back 20 to minutes later at their request and sat waiting for the class for a further 30 minutes. The lesson was an hour late starting without any explanation. When we finally got down to the beaches were shown the different surfing techniques to get everyone started. Once in the water the waves were fine, and the 40 minutes in the water was good, but the lesson was meant to be an hour and a half! Taking into consideration walking down to the beach with the boards, warm up before, lesson and surfing, plus walk back to the cabin we only had between 50-55 minutes lesson - very disappointing.

Great experience! We took along a 5 year old and he had the BEST TIME! The instructors were professional and attentive and helped him progress loads just in one class! The school itself has great facilities like showers and lockers and is set in a beautiful part of the beach. Highly recommend using Moana!

I'm living in Cascais and i started surfing at Moana Surf School 6 years ago at the age of 41. I was amazed how quickly i improved and how little time it took until i actually managed to ride the first waves. My instructors were very extremely friendly and very helpful. After just a few classes i was prepared to go out on my own and take waves on my own. Today, every now and then i still take some classes at Moana Surf School, because the surf is better and the company as well is very nice. The instructors are a lot of fun and the ambience all around Moana Surf School is nothing but 5 stars. Highly recommendable!!!

Moana Surf Scholl é a escola mais completa de Portugal. Eu estive a conviver com toda a equipe durante o verão e fui muito bem recebido. O trabalho feito pela escola é brutal, um time de instrutores altamente profissional e capacitado para ensinar a todos de todas as idades a base do surf com um formato diferenciado onde alcança o objetivo principal que é satisfazer a todos que passam e participam das aulas de surf na Moana Surf Scholl. Great experience! I thought I was too old with 35 years but I tried and I got into surfing. Amazing beach, friendly instructors and a lot of fun. For me it was the start of a life long passion. And great place for families and kids too. Right next to the school, you have a beautiful beach bar and restaurant. I can only recommend trying a few surf sessions with family or friends.
