I booked last minute, Andre responded to my email really fast. Very professional !!!! I had great fun!! Instructor was very attentive and took care of us, helped us if we needed it. Next time I come I’ll book again with salty surf school.

Wooow! What a great morning! Joao and Andre are excellent instructors! They gave us all the great tips for our first time on the board! We went through the techniques step by steps, warmed up and were ready the catch the waves. The lesson is 2 hours. More than enough for a 1st time. Can’t wait to do it again! Thank you guys!

Today i went on the cascais and sintra tour with andre. The tour was awesome: andre shared local information, facts and history- he has a sense of humour which made it fun. Sintra is absolutely beautiful and you could spend all day here but i didn’t have the time so this trip was ideal way for me to see lots of places in a shorter time, i highly recommend it. We saw all the locations listed and ate some delicious local desert. I enjoyed the scenic route through the mountains and the sunset at Cabo de Roca with some Fado music to end the trip. Thank you for a wonderful experience

We had a great experience surfing the waves of cascais. Andre is a superhost and works with a great team. Our group appreciated the time the instructors took since we where first timers and above 40. After the hard work Andre made sure we had time to drink some good local beers and recommend some good restaurants to have lunch at the beach. He was open for all our questions regarding Lisbon and the area. Thank you for the good time and relaxed atmosphere.

What an amazing experience ! This day was fantastic! André picked us up as agreed at the station. The train ride is beautiful and fast, it should not stop you! Once in his van, we went to the perfect spot for us. The intructions were clear and suitable for beginners like us! André is very professional and we feel it through his speeches, his experience. After the surfing session, where we really enjoyed ourselves together, André introduced us to the surroundings of his region by showing us the most beautiful places. It was so good ! A melhor escola de surf em Portugal!

André and his brother were awesome. They had a van and everything ready as they picked us up at the train station (wetsuit, board, etc). André's brother was a great teacher and everything went pretty well. The surf lesson is safe and fun, and they spot everybody to make sure we get the tips and tricks to get better at every try, adding some difficulty for those who were getting the hang of it faster. On our way back, they even gave my group some advices on places to lunch, things to see, etc. I highly recommend taking your surf lesson there.

Salty souls was an incredible adventure. Andre and Martin were knowledgeable and knew exactly how to get new surfers off the beach and out onto the water quickly. The instruction was succint and precise so time was not wanted on the land when the waves were right there to be had.

Beste Surfschule in der ganzen Gegend! Die Kurse sind sehr persönlich und André ist super authentisch und freundlich. Er nimmt sich für jeden einzelnen Schüler Zeit, verbessert und hilft bei den ersten Versuchen. Man merkt, dass er sich in der Gegend auskennt und weiß, wann wo die Wellen am besten sind. Auf jeden Fall eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich nur weiterempfehlen kann!

Great time surfing with Salty Souls! Andrea found us the best beach to surf.. He was really attentive and we have great fun catching some waves.. I really recommend it for beginners or to improve your surfing.

I've had several lessons at Salty Souls and couldn't recommend them highly enough. The instructors are very friendly, patient and professional. You learn a lot, get to visit beautiful nearby beaches and I look forward to each new lesson. Additionally, the team makes sure all safety and cleanliness guidelines are followed especially due to the current situation, so you can assure you will feel safe and sound.

I can highly recommend Salty Souls Surf School. Andre is an amazing teacher who speaks English fluently. He is very flexible and you can therefore explore multiple surf locations with him. I can really advise you to do a tour with him. Prices are more than fair!! Enjoy your time with him!

So much fun! I did three days of surf lessons and had a great experience. João was an amazing teacher, patient and kind and easy to learn from. On time and reliable to pick me up from the meet-up location, and really good at staying in contact, answering my questions and just generally super communicative and professional. I have taken surf lessons in schools around the world and joão has been my favourite teacher by far! He took us to different beaches on different days, depending on our individual skill levels, and did everything he could to make sure his students had fun and got something good from the sessions. I felt like I made improvements to my technique, and laughed a lot. I would definitely recommend salty souls to anyone looking for surfing.

We love Salty Soul! We were on holiday and we chose Andre, over all the other surfcamps, for our first golfsurf lesson. So glad we did. Andre is a pro. He works with small groups (we were with 4), has the right gear, informs you about the weather, tiding, the best spot and hour to learn your first skills ( we started at 8 in the morning!). Andre and his team give clear instructions and do a warming up on the beach. They really want you to succeed and they don't give up. We had João, the brother of Andre, as our instructor and he asked if it was okay if he would give a little more attention to our kids, which we thought was great. The kids liked it so much that we came back for a second round. They learned how to read the waves, to stand on their board and even learned how to turn. As a souvenir we have great pictures and a nice hoodie of the Salty Souls. Till next time!

Amazing! Best 3 days surfing I’ve ever done. I improved so much thanks to João. He is a born teacher. He corrected so many bad habits I had, and was super patient and funny when I kept screwing up again. He created a safe, fun and constructive environment for everyone in the group. It was winter, so there are big waves in some spots, but he knew exactly where to take us for conditions suitable to our ability. Don’t hesitate to use these guys - especially if you don’t know the area so well or you’re nervous for any reason. I would give 6 stars here, except he called me a penguin. Hahah. Thanks!!!

My trip to portugal turn out to be awesome die to the great surf experience I had with salty souls !!! Such an experienced , professional and fun team. Everyday we went to surf and they took us to different beaches depending on conditions! The instructors are not only great teachers but also excellent surfers and people with really good energies and vibes. We went for a meal with them a couple of times and they took us to local restaurants non touristic where the food was delicious and cheap. I have improved my surfing loads with them and strongly recommend you if you are around Lisbon to call them to surf!!! You won’t regret!!

First off, the waves in Portugal are already amazing as it is. Strong current and incredible views! Learning how to ride them was made even more spectacular by André and his team. They took us out on their van from Cascais to Guincho and they were very warm and friendly from start to finish. Apart from making us comfortable with the waves, they were very professional and made sure that everyone was safe. That’s very important for any beginner who has never experienced the mighty and powerful waves of Portugal! I’ve had a previous surfing lesson before in my own country but this lesson with Salty Souls was worth every euro we spent! Thanks André and team! Shoutout to Anna who was equally incredible too!

Had the most amazing time learning to surf with Salty souls! It was my first time trying and I took six lessons with them and was able to learn a lot! André and all the instructors are super friendly and fun and they gave us excellent instructions and made sure we had lots of fun and stayed safe while learning! I will definitely be going back to take more lessons with them and can recommend them to anyone!

Already the second time taking lessons with Salty souls - just had to come back for more ‍♀️ This time we took six surf lessons with André and his team and were again beyond impressed by their outstanding friendliness, professionalism and attention to safety. All the instructors are super fun, personable and patient and they really go out of their way to make sure you are learning and having fun. Instructions were always extremely clear and thorough, lessons were very well planned and during our six days we each received personalized feedback for improvement. From communication to transportation to everything that takes place during the lessons the experience is super smooth and fun! We could not have been happier and will definitely be returning to take some more lessons with this super team! ‍♀️ ‍♀️ ‍♀️

It was the first time I took a surf lesson and I could not have had a better experience. The two instructors Maria and Diogo where super friendly and professional. They took a lot of time to help us und even tough the waves and wind was quite intense this day, they still made our experience unforgettable!

Very well organized activity. Location, transport, equipment and training were perfect. Training was personal, with two instructors on a group of nine participants.

We had the best time surfing with André and the team! They most definitely know what they are doing and gave us great instructions how to catch the waves ;) this experience made our vacation so much better!

My son and I took two lessons from Salty Souls Surf School. The instruction was fantastic. Both instructors we worked with were very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Both my son and I felt successful and had fun. We went back for a second lesson the day before we left Portugal because we had such a great time the first time. I highly recommend this surf school to anyone of any age who want to learn to surf or just have fun trying something new in the ocean.

Professional surf school with teachers who are passionate about surfing and know the beaches of the area well. Communication was swift and uncomplicated. The lesson was thorough with warm-up, theory, safety instructions and enough time practicing and enjoying the waves. André was very attentive, easy going and fun.
