It's a perfect little local shop, if your local shop sold only the best quality organic and natural wine, meat, cheese, and dry goods. Go by and have a glass of wine and a meat and cheese board.

A must do for anyone visiting Lisbon, who is interested in good food and wine, and to learn more about Portugal's amazing and rich variety of quality artisan produce, many of which is organic. The owner is wonderful, and very passionate about her business. She has a wealth of interesting information to share about the products on her shelves. Make the time to visit and support such a worthy idea, either to enjoy on your holiday, or take back home. (I did both ;) )

Local muy limpio y ordenado. La señor que me atendió , hablaba perfectamente el castellano y sabía mucho de vinos. Los vinos y productos que había eran de calidad.

Loja de vinhos naturais e produtos portugueses, além de mercearia também servem vinho ao copo e tabuas de queijos. Muito acolhedor e os produtos tem grande qualidade.

Localizado num canto impossível de dar certo, a Rita deu-lhe a volta e tornou-o num sucesso. Com o lema "pequenos produtores, grandes produtos", a Comida Independente iniciou um movimento de honestidade com os produtores e os seus produtos, aliado à ideia de sustentabilidade ambiental e cultural. Acho que é paragem obrigatória para um bom petisco, vinho e conversa.

Great place filled with locals (which is always a good sign)! I ask for a recommendation and the girl served me a great wine by the glass. A bit more expensive than other bar, but you pay for the quality so it is worth it. They have wifi, local products and wine to buy. It acts as a winebar and little market. I just loved the concept and the vibe of the place!

We stopped by for “just a glass” of wine on our way to dinner and ended up canceling our plans so we could stay at Comida Independente the rest of the night. Owner Rita was most welcoming and both the cheese and charcuterie board and the smoked tuna were delicious.

They have a great selection of natural wines in the store, and the people running the place are happy to share their extensive knowledge. The store doubles as a wine bar, with a good but limited selection of wines available by the glass. If you go there and like meat, don’t miss the pastrami sandwich. It’s exceptional.

Having stumbled across this place somewhere on the internet I had been meaning to go for ages but being the other side of town I kept putting it off. When a friend came to visit who liked a bit of wine it was the perfect excuse so off we went. For some reason I didn't think the deli would be so big but the location is a fair size and wall to wall stocked with hand selected bottles of natural/low intervention wine and liquors, dry & wet products of all descriptions - jams, olives, herbs, teas, oils, you name it then it's probably here as well as some frozen products and a small but quality looking fruit and vegetable selection. There is also a nice cheese and meat counter next to the bar so we settled onto a couple of bar stalls and got cracking. Wine was knowledgeably discussed, sampled, approved and ordered. Along came the meat and cheese platter and restored my faith in Portugal's cheese making and cured meat industry after so many disappointments and mediocre experiences in the year or so since I moved here. More wine was then recommended, sampled, approved and drank. Stories of the food provenance discussed with the owner and her Brazilian chef being extremely knowledgable about where everything came from. I was also very happy to find some very meaty unsalted anchovies and one of the best jamon's I've every tasted and having lived in Spain for a number of years - that is saying something. Of course along with the taste sensation, I also received a description of the producer and the story of why it tasted so good and why it was so limited. Not only were the ladies behind the counter a wealth of great information about the food and wine world of Portugal they were great to chat to, friendly and fun. It was lovely hanging out as well as being an education and I'm happy to report that I'll be heading there on Tuesday with another friend. I can't wait. Oh yeah I almost forgot the music was great as well. A great playlist, played at a sensible volume that was just perfect for the space and another example of the attention to detail that permeates this wonderful Lisbon food and drink shrine.

Exceptional place, marvelous food, great wines by the glass and bottles, and expert, friendly staff. We nibbled on food and learned about Portuguese wine here for an hour. Clean space, well lit, great vibe.

Vinhos naturais, produtos frescos de pequenos produtores, um sítio onde apetece ir e voltar vezes sem conta. Desejo toda a sorte à Comida Independente, já não posso esperar pela próxima visita.

You can find here a lot of the best and genuine portuguese products, at reasonable price. People are friendly and helpful. Hope they maintain the effort to find more portuguese products that are great but almost impossible to find in Lisbon.
