This was a delightful winery visit. We arrived around 4 pm and did not realize that tours/tasting sessions need to be booked in advance (TAKE NOTE). Nevertheless, Catarina and the owner were so accommodating to us they let us join the in-progress tour and treated us like star guests (as with every other guest). Their antique distillery room was a highlight for me. This was our first stop on a short road trip outside of Lisbon and I would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Portuguese winery experience. The wines were delicious and their bottle prices are astoundingly low from the perspective of Americans. Also try their brandy - it's a real treat!

Fantastic visit at the Quinta. Very engaged guide gave as a good insight if the processes, equioment and history of this marvellous site. We tasted several excellent wines and also bought a couple of good buttles.

Knowledgeable staffs, various wine for tasting, local authentic home made foods for lunch, family owned business with centuries-old history....All makes this place special.

Gorgeous place. The fall colours and the architectural structure is very beautiful. It's a romantic place to visit any time of the year. They are open for many venue's.

We did a tour here through Airbnb. It's such a beautiful winery with an even more beautiful history. The family that owns it are very knowledgeable and kind. The wine is superb! We had such a lovely time. Highly recommend coming for a visit! Book ahead and get the full experience!

We got married here in June 2018...it was the best venue with the best team of people! Family owned and run, brilliant wine...I cannot say enough!!!

Excelente quinta fundada em 1871 e mantém-se na mesma família desde sempre. Os vinhos são fabulosos para mim os melhores de Portugal vale apena fazer uma prova de vinhos com a neta da proprietária a Ana que é uma excelente anfitriã e no fim trazer os vinhos que degustou. Também já tive o prazer de ir à casamentos, baptizados e até simples festas de aniversário e em todas se comeu muito bem e bebeu maravilhosamente. Além da recepção que é sempre fantástica. Vale apena marcar uma visita com prova de vinhos.

Uma quinta centenária com uma excelente organização, estive lá hoje no evento "Open Day" e o ambiente não podia ser mais agradável, a quinta está muito bem conservada, tem uns óptimos anfitriões e os vinhos são espectaculares! Sem dúvida que voltarei numa nova oportunidade!

We should’ve read the reviews, and booked. However like for some others we were lucky and Anna, the (heavily pregnant) founder’s grand daughter, gave us a wonderfully informed and articulate explanation of Portuguese wine industry history and how it compares globally. Incredibly good value wine to taste and buy, highly atmospheric venue and ultra friendly people. Highly recommended.

Toured this winery in late October and had a wonderful experience thanks the Ana, the great granddaughter of founder, and her great staff. Superb tour, tasting and tour. Best we have ever experienced.

If you are looking for authentic wine experience that has a spirited and rich history, then visit this place. We learned so much from our host, tasted great wine, and more importantly, enjoyed some cherished Portuguese hospitality. Great memory.

Even at short notice, we were warmly greeted and treated to an hourlong tour of their beautiful property and then an hourlong tasting of delightful wines - they rival windes we have tasted throughout the world. I am hoping I will be able to find these wines in a local wine shop one day soon. We met the owners, and even the toddler who will one day inherit this family "farm." Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!
