We were encouraged into the Duke on a whistle stop tour of Cascais. We were looking for a spot of lunch and a nice beer / coffee. We were led through to the outside area at the back and settled on a long table (there were 7 of us). The menu is quite extensive and between us we chose a variety of lunch type options. I went for the steak sandwich and thought it was as good as any I've ever had - some great seasoning made it so tasty. For the ale lovers amongst us they had a good selection of draught beers and the ones we tried were very good. The service throughout was extremely friendly and efficient. If I had seen some of the other reviews on here I might have avoided but to be fair it hit the spot for what we needed and I couldn't fault it. If you are expecting Michelin starred fine dining in elegant surroundings then maybe you will be disappointed but if you just want good food, good beer and friendly efficient service then it's worth a try.

Realmente uma experiência das melhores. Melhor cerveja, sardinha, pastel de bacalhau que comemos em Portugal. Lugar para apreciar e degustar sem pressa. Comida preparada na hora, portanto excelente para quem aprecia a boa comida. Excelente recepção do Duarte e sua esposa Fabiana, pelo carinho e disposição de fazer nos sentir em casa.

Buscar otro lugar, lo elegimos porque estaba la terraza llena, pero nos equivocamos por completo. Malísimo trato, tuvimos un retraso en el servicio de la comida, tardaron 45 minutos en servirnos un plato de carne a la piedra, la cuál la presentan totalmente cruda, en lugar de tres salsas vienen dos salsas. Pedimos un poco de rapidez y nos dicen que está la comida en el elevador, el cuál tardo más de 20 min en bajar. Muy poco respeto a la clientela tanto por parte del encargado, como el jefe. En lugar de pedir disculpas vino con mala educación. Nos quedamos sin tomar café ni postre porque llegabamos 15 minutos tarde al Tour que teníamos contratado. Encontre outro lugar, escolhemos porque o terraço estava cheio, mas estávamos completamente errados. Tratamento muito ruim, tivemos um atraso no serviço da comida, demorou 45 minutos para nos servir um prato de carne à pedra, o possivelmente presente totalmente cru, no lugar de três molhos, dois molhos vêm. Pedimos um pouco de velocidade e eles nos dizem que a comida está no elevador, leva mais de 20 minutos para descer. Muito pouco respeito pela clientela, tanto pelo gerente quanto pelo chefe. Em vez de pedir desculpas, ele veio com grosseria. Find another place, we chose it because the terrace was full, but we were completely wrong. Locale tipico portoghese. Il titolare è una persona molto gentile ed alla mano. Molto paziente. I piatti sono molto abbondanti e gustosi. Possibilità di personalizzare quello che ai ordina in base ai propri gusti. Veramente molto consigliato, soprattutto per chi vuole mangiare in un locale del posto a prezzi accessibili e mangiare veramente in modo molto abbondante. Veramente molto consigliato

Un lugar fantástico. Se come muy bien y comida auténtica y abundante. Lo recomiendo. Es el mejor del entorno.

Atendimento bom, sobremesa gostosa. Pedimos dois pratos de bacalhau, estavam bons, o problema foi a batata frita, que estava extremamente gordurosa.

O local é simples, atendimento básico. O bacalhau estava bom, mas nada de especial. Cuidado com os preços do couvert.

À éviter ABSOLUMENT !! 1h d'attente pour un résultat médiocre: steak maison = steak sec dans un bain d'huile, brocoli avec un insecte, les calamars goûtent juste le grillé, les spaghettis carbonara ont un arrière goût dégoûtant. Au niveau du personnel, seul l'homme qui attrape les gens devant l'entrée est gentil.

Came here as part of a tour bus. Place was extremely underwhelming. They have a TV out in the open plaza where you can watch whatever game the owner set it to. There's an itinerant saxophone artist who plays his sax on the statue followed by walking around asking for tips. At least several flies in the vicinity at all times. Employees who joke with customers, even when things are bad, and not like lightening the mood kind of joking, just goof-off joking. The dishes we had were largely forgettable or just bad. We had a seafood arroz that was underseasoned and bland, which is usually pretty hard when you're using shrimp heads in the soup. There were also tiny crab parts that had insignificant amounts of crab meat that made it pointless to even bother breaking them open. The ice cream with bits of caramel in it was OK, but the whole experience was just all-in-all bad.
