Deve haver um engano, infelizmente nunca tive a oportunidade de conhecer o vosso espaço! Moro a cerca de 500 mts mas só conheço por passar de carro ou pela péssima vizinhança que provocam com festas de casamento e não só, até às tantas da madrugada!

Sarah and Anthony Marriage May 2018 Married in Quinta dos Machados is getting married at home! This is what we felt on our wedding day! Anthony and I came from Dublin and our guests from the four corners of the world. I do not think anyone even realizes how it feels ...... imagine getting married in another country but feel that it always belonged there? Quinta dos Machados was really our home on the day of our wedding. Where we received all the guests and where we had all the staff available, which is a kindness, sympathy and professionalism incredible. We wanted something formal and so we chose the salon of the wineries to get married ...... the casual and entertaining appointment came with the dinner and the party outside. They were very fun times, unique, shared by all, was unforgettable. The food was delicious, the service could not have been more kind and professional, the staff, the accompaniment and the suggestions of Carmo in the preparation of this day made all the difference. We knew from the first moment that she would take care of all the details and requests and so it was. We enjoyed it to the maximum, without worry, because we knew that she was there and that everything would flow naturally. We only regret one thing, that has happened to fast .... All our guests have asked us to get married at Quinta dos Machados every year .... Anthony and I will do the will of our guests .... Thank you very much.

Wedding of Rachel and Tom September 2018 Much better than in our best dreams! I met the woman of my life in Paris, but it was at Quinta dos Machados that we lived our 3 best days ever. I cannot put into words what Rachel, I and all the guests feel, but I'll do my best. As we entered in to Quinta dos Machados and we were welcomed by Carmo, we felt immediately at home. We realized that was where we wanted to get married. We started with a barbecue by the woods and Ribeira de Pedrulhos the day before the wedding and it was just perfect ...... the food the ambience not to mention the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. The guests stayed in the hotel and as it happened to us, they also felt at home. This contributes to our marriage being in the opinion of many, the best marriage they have ever been to (our guests are demanding and came from all over the world). This feeling of belonging and family is indescribable and was recorded in the hearts of all. After the wedding day ...we all got settled on the Quinta dos Machados, where there was a team of hairdressers and make up that treated all the ladies ... and made the party start early in the morning! On this day one of the highest points was the ceremony in the woods, it was magical! The nature, the surroundings, the music and once again all the support of the organization (I want to highlight once again the involvement of Carmo). After all, the day remained a dream come true, with cocktails served in a wonderful place, the food was exceptional, the service very professional and the staff was very friendly. We end with a brunch the next day and the rest of the afternoon at the pool and in the woods discovering the sensory path and cycling. We do not know how to thank Quinta dos Machados and his team, this is undoubtedly a place of exception and at the level of the best we know. We recommend and will be back!

O valor da reserva não correspondeu ao valor que na realidade foi pago, sendo dada desculpa ter existido um erro por parte da funcionária. Foi também realizada reserva para 2 crianças, e nem camas prontas existiram para as mesmas. Em fim, existe aproveitamento do que move as pessoas a visitar o local, para não existirem reclamações, no meu caso foi um casamento.

Apesar de o contato via email com a Quinta dos Machados ter sido bom, eu havia marcado horario para realizar uma visita ao local para a realizaçao de um evento. O dia e horario foram marcados com 2 meses de antecedência tendo em vista que eu nao moro em Portugal. Um dia antes da data, mando um email à Quinta, e recebo a resposta de que nosso compromisso havia sido cancelado. Decepcionante. Descaso com pessoas que vêm de longe para realizar uma visita.

Muito bom,lugar acolhedor e muito bonito.

Fomos a uma festa de casamento. A festa correu bem mas alguns dos convidados da festa pagaram para ficar lá a noite, bem, 105euros a noite para um casal, e para além do pequeno almoço estar incluído e ser uma miséria depois da 1pm o restaurante da quinta recusou-se a nos servir qualquer tipo de comida sendo que os funcionários foram bastante desagradáveis e justificaram com o.facto.de terem uma festa de aniversário. A nível de festas na quinta aconselho vivamente, já os funcionários poderiam ter outro.tipo de atitude.

Nice hotel in a good location for a visit to Lisboa area. We stayed in new building. Friendly staff. Good food. We had noisy neighbours but it was no problem to get another room. The only little minus was the spa which need a bit more maintenance.

Gosto bastante de lá ir, dado ser um excelente espaço para uma escapadinha, sem andar muitos km. Mt bom restaurante. ADORO. Spa bom, sendo a sua limitação o pequeno espaço. Contudo os preços dos serviços de spa podiam ser mais convidativos. Acontece que também que já frequentei a topologia de quarto mais barata e a mais cara, e na nais cara, sinto que não valeu a pena pelo preço que paguei. Irei voltar, contudo, pelo preço/qualidade, darei esta avaliação.

Hotel bastante nuevo y bastante cuidado posiblemente lo mejor de todo la limpieza de las habitaciones. Estuve en Agosto y la habitación con desayuno costaba 130€ diarios me parece excesivo para el tamaño de la habitación que es bastante pequeña y el desayuno buffet a parte de empezar tarde si estás alojado por trabajo (hasta las 8 no se puede desayunar) es bastante malo. Un día dentro de la jarra de la leche había restos de papel de un azucarillo...

Quinta com cerca de 30 quartos, duas casas de aluguer, várias salas de eventos e convívio interiores e exteriores, bar e lounge dispõe ainda de um observatório para ver as estrelas à noite ( em dias de céu estrelado) zona calma e em contacto com a natureza

My friends and i were looking for a place to stay on our way from Porto before Lisbon and we were pleasantly surprised. Wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel has a new section that is very modernized and an older section with the original home from the 1700s. The older home is beautiful but you should be forewarned that there isn’t an elevator to the second floor. If you have lots of bags its a small inconvenience. There’s a nature park, restaurant, and spa. The grounds are beautiful, and made us wish we could stay longer to explore the area. Lovely hotel! The location is 10 minutes from A1 and 10 minutes to downtown Manfra.

When we arrive and take the first views there is a clear rustic place, but then the rooms are clearly vintage rustic chic. It is really a country house spa relax kind of place. The breakfast could have some more options, but all the food is very tasty. I think it's a little expensive for all the experience and location. I guess i could not be easy to get some rest at wedding days

J'y suis allé pour fêter l'anniversaire de mariage d'un membre de la famille. On y a bien mangé, les repas sont excellents, l'ambiance est très sympa, le décor est assez classe et le jardin est magnifique.

Fui a um casamento onde a opção vegetariana revelou falta de empenho e conhecimento de uma cozinha que hoje em dia tem imensas fontes de inspiração. Espaço agradável mas a ementa precisa de melhorar.

Bom espaço de SPA. Tem jacuzzi, banho turco e sauna, só falta uma piscina interior. Mas no exterior tem uma belíssima piscina! O atendimento é simpático. Os sistemas estão bem mantidos e o espaço é agradável embora pequeno.

La limpieza de la habitación no estaba mal. Intenta aparentar ser un hotel lujoso pero... La cerradura de mi habitación en concreto estaba mal, nos tiramos como media hora para poder sacar la llave...fuimos a quejarnos y la recepcionista básicamente nos dijo que era lo que habia...que teniamos que aguantarnos... Por otro lado, la recepción está escondida y sin señalizar... La piscina no estaba muy limpia que digamos, y no estaba vigilada. Habia otros extranjeros que no paraban de molestar al resto de personas en las que me incluyo...hasta que finalmente consiguieron que todo el mundo se fuera porque no paraban de molestar. Y finalmente, tuvimos un horrible despertar con la maquina de podar el cesped, que si no recuerdo mal, a las 8 de la mañana empezó a hacer un ruido espantoso...junto con un ruido de picar piedra infernal.... En general, el trato fue malo y la estancia desagradable, no repetiré.

Great place to spend some days in harmony with the nature. The place is huge and you can walk by the property freely and get to the nearest towns with some indications that they have placed. The rooms for two and really small with almost no space to walk due to the bed and closet.

Superb staff were great help with travel emergency. Wedding party enjoyed new & old style accommodation. Good restaurant with reasonable pricing.

We stayed for a wedding at another venue nearby.The service was disorganised and chaotic and they struggled to cope with the guest changeover. We asked for an early check in as we have a baby and they promised to do their best. They said our room would be ready by 1.30pm. They then gave our room accidentally to another party with the same surname. Waited another 40 mins. Due to a private party, their only restaurant was closed and they werent able to provide any food or refreshments. It was a hot day and this added to our frustration. We were finally allocated our room and started to rush to get ready. The shower was faulty and only produced boiling hot water. I called reception and waited. Then decided to have a go at forcing the thermostatic valve on the shower. I managed to force it round and finally the temperature of the water reduced enough to have a shower safely. The plug in the sink was also defective and prevented us from bathing our baby. Standard rooms do not have air conditioning nor ceiling fans. To me, this is unacceptable in a hot country like Portugal. I asked for a portable fan and they were vague about it.They then appeared to tell us there was a problem with the drains and we had to move. We had to repack and move our bags ourselves to the second room. The lift was faulty so I had to carry our pram and luggage up a steep flight of steps. This was one of their new air conditioned rooms which was a welcome relief from the sweltering heat.

For a place that offers premium rooms for 135€ a night, and writes itself up as a serene and quiet country hotel, there were a lot of annoying things going on. The hotel is run by very unprofessional people. The restaurant is a lot better, and matches the price to its quality. A short list of the issues we found with the hotel, its staff, and the general organization of the place. We stayed 2 nights: - Non-smoking room, but the staff smokes directly below the balcony, offering free nicotine and smoke smell in our, and all other premium rooms. - Forgetting toilet paper after cleaning the room. Can happen. Still not a good sign. - Staff kept forgetting services on offer (in our case babysitting). If you put some fancy brochure in the room, you better read our yourself first. - Construction work during breakfast in the same room. Really. This could not wait until after breakfast? Grinders on stone, sanding machines, generators... What about being a serene and quiet hotel? - Staff kept changing rates during a reservation date change. This would be understandable, were it not that the price change was for the same night. Incompetence or a rip off, I don't know. But it sure was annoying. - The reception was unreachable most of the time. (Probably on a smoke break beneath our window.) - There was a large water puddle in the only entrance to breakfast room. You know, one of those you actually slip on when you don't see it. - After mentioning we travel with a one year old, have unprotected power sockets all over the room, a crib that doesn't fit the room (way to big). - Hotel advertises with ' quiet and serene country atmosphere ', but we get cars racing by, construction work from 8 until 21 hours, loud personnel, police cars, staff yapping underneath the window while smoking, and general annoyances. - There are pieces of construction materials (pipe) 'stored' directly on front of our window and balcony: so our 'Premium' room has a view of unfinished construction, a barbed wire fence, trash, and the air vent outlet for the whole hotel. Sorry guys. I know you try to play big fancy hotel. But for that to work, you need capable staff, and a semblance of the offer you advertise in the actual service you return. I'm being a comp of done kind would have mellowed my review, since I understand construction is a temporary thing, but you handled the communication with us so badly that I do not believe you deserve more than one star.

We expected a calm and restful night. Instead we had to travel about 9 Km to the next town to find a place to eat since the restaurant was not serving any dinner. Also, breakfast buffet was very very poor.

We had a great time here, lovely helpful staff and fantastic value for money with a out of season deal which included the use of a newly built spa.The XVII century converted farm buildings have kept their charm but have been modernised to provide a comfortable stay.Theres a guest lounge (with TV, Games and where breakfast is served) in the old olive pressing room and the old wine making room has be turned into a conference/wedding venue where you can still see the huge stone tanks.Theres enough outdoor space for a walk, moning jog or just to enjoy the gorgeous portuguese sunshine. As it was winter we didn’t use the outdoor pool but the area looked really nice.

I learned a painful lesson about using Hotels.com for Portugal. Villages and Regions can have the same name. So, when I arranged for this place, I thought I was staying in the town of Mafra, while I was actually 13 km away. The hotel itself was pretty nice, though I am unsure if it was air conditioned, not an issue since Portugal was unseasonably cool. The breakfast was nice.

Hotel was good, however we informed the hotel (3 days in advance) that was our honeymoon night, and we did not receive any special treatment (flowers, champagne, our a small chocolate with a card). Disappointing ....
